I am making a new fan fic. Tell me what you think, especially what should happen next and if you like it. Also, if this is in the wrong spot, sorry. I'm new.
PART ONE:
CHAPTER ONE
WINTER
A terrible storm rages across the desert. Winter and Kinkajou had split up days ago in search of scavengers. Why did I choose the desert? I hate this heat. At least it was dry. Winter had seen scavengers, walking across the desert with a camel. Now, a scavenger would never show up in this weather. He hadn't even known a storm like this existed in the dry heat. The wind is too wild to fly in, so Winter has walked for what seemed like miles, looking for shelter. He squints his eyes, trying to see through the heavy rain. That couldn't be... His pace quickens as he gets closer to, hopefully, an oasis.
Sure enough, it is there. The wind tore at the palm trees, the rain beating the small pond in the center. He plunges his head into the warm water, gulping as much as he could. Maybe it is over the loud thunderclaps and crackles of lighting, maybe the rain is blocking his sight that he didn't see or hear the dragon. All at once, the pain runs through him as claws slice at the side of his neck. He hisses in anger, gingerly touching the gash.
How DARE someone attack me! The blood drips down his neck, making the sand crimson and clumpy. He jumps toward the dark figure, claws outstretched, but a powerful hit to the head sends Winter flying the other direction. Winter collapses onto his side in the sand. He struggles to his feet, the sand clinging out his wet scales. Suddenly, pain like he never felt blasts across his back.
Winter collapses onto the sand, the pain immobilizing him. I am gonna die... And I never see Moon again. Winter hears his attacker drawing nearer. A massive thunderclap disables his hearing for a minute, then a lightning bolt flashed down right in front of him. He slams his eyes shut in time before he gets blinded.
His attacker isn't so lucky. He or she howls in pain, and Winter hears the dragon stumbling in the sand. When Winter opens his eyes, a dragon the color of darkest shadows approaches him. As she nears, his alarm grew. This dragon has lightning crackling across her scales, but it didn't seem to harm her. She touches his shoulder. The lightning flickers around her talons but it doesn't harm him. She gives him a look of worry. The pain from the cut and burn is too much and his mind gives in to deep sleep.
