has anyone ever brought up tigerstar I's plan with this cryptic first message from starclan in dotc?
what if later in the series, the cats realize tigerstar I was right in trying to unify the clans and it was just his method of doing it was wrong (aka using power, violence and manipulation as the wrong way to unite the clans)? and the series finally ends when the clans combine into a giant clan?
unite as in "the clans are seperated but you guys have to work together sometimes and stop killing each other over petty things" or "the clans should combine and live in a utopia" ?
i think either one would be funny. or at least give us an evil medicine cat who believes tigerstar I was in the right and try to use the unite or die message to trick the clans into doubting themselves.

Clans become European Union 2.0, because why not?

Are you saying my favorite evil kitty Tigerstar I just wanted to turn the Clans into another Europe?
Because that makes me be so proud of the little dictator.

I think the SkyClan/ShadowClan merge of '17 proved that the clans have too much animosity towards each other to ever live in a peaceful utopia

I feel like it’s heading towards that way. But it will take a while for that to happen. It’s worth noting that the times Clans have combined have been in stressful and hostile situations, so there would have to be something that was neither. I’m not sure what that would be though, because the Clans have spent a lot of time fighting amongst themselves and wouldn’t want to give up individual aspects to unite (such as leaders and fighting styles). So while I could see it happen, I’m not entirely sure how that would work.

The Clans combining into one big Clan would ruin the series.

The Clans combining into one big Clan would ruin the series. not if the entire franchise ends with this happening! i think it's funny, but also interesting at the same time.

I would genuinely be very angry if that's how they chose to end the series. It goes against literally everything we've learned in all of the arcs.

It goes against literally everything we've learned in all of the arcs. How though? In DotC, it's always hammered in how life in the forest was overall better before Clear Sky started forming Clans. Cats like Wind and Gorse were able to go about their daily lives, Alder and Birch would have their mother, Rainswept Flower, Falling Feather, Jackdaw's Cry and Misty would still be alive. Housecats and rogues would still struggle, sure, but at least they wouldn't be left with scars for visiting the forest they grew up in and hunted in since before the "Clans" were even thought of.Almost every Clan issue would be solved by simply letting go of petty lawn markers and just letting cats do what they want. All these forbidden love dramas, border skirmishes and wars are really for just having the option to say what's their's or isn't. "Unite or die" is literally destroying the point of Clans warring with each other. Why fight for land, letting another Clan starve when you have to support each other to survive anyway? ThunderClan has even given other Clans food several times in the past. Sooooo much unneccesary deaths and strife would be solved by simply having the Clans swallow the giant pills (that they already have to swallow whenever something bad happens) and unite, or at the very least remove those borders. Imagine all the trouble they could have avoided in AVoS if Rowanstar had the support of Bramblestar, Mistystar and Onestar, instead of all of ShadowClan just turning tail on solely him. The imposter would also have way less power over the Clans, what with that code-breaker witchhunt stunt of his. I think unified Clans are a much better choice, and the drama would be much more interesting and fresh imo if forbidden love, border drama and Clan-villainizing to make protagnist-Clan look good wasn't 80% of every plot.

I think unified Clans are a much better choice, and the drama would be much more interesting and fresh imo if forbidden love, border drama and Clan-villainizing to make protagnist-Clan look good wasn't 80% of every plot. Adding onto this, literally every major conflict the Clans have faced has been solved because they worked together. Scourge, the Dark Forest, Darktail... I really don't see how you can read the series and still think the Clans being united is a bad thing when it's been proven time and time again that the opposite is true. Just because something has existed for a long time doesn't mean it's a good thing. I'm not saying they should completely do away with borders, but at least when it comes to each other, it's clear that they would accomplish more if they would just loosen up a bit. Whenever the series ends, I personally would love for this to be the conclusion.
