We finally got it! Mods, feel free to move this if you need to. I only posted this here because it would get more attention and the other news for this book was also posted in General in the past.

Pretty. Hope this doesn't go the way Survivors went and turns to crap. Interested to see where it goes.

Who's the cover artist btw? That's a good question.... I'll look into it! I only found it because it previously was not there in the catalogs, so I checked again this evening out of curiosity and found they had updated it with the cover.

Yeah, I saw this in another part of the forums. Honestly, I'm just disappointed that actual Chinese names aren't being used. I didn't like it with Bravelands, either (which this series seems to have taken some inspiration from).

This art is kinda similar to the same art as the first book of Survivors, or maybe someone completely different and new

Art's nice, but the title's font reminds me of every book the Erins have written. The font for Bravelands, Seekers, Survivors, and now Bamboo Kingdom all look like the Warriors font to me. Kinda disappointing from a design aspect.

I think it's interesting that this will be the first Erin Hunter series to have a herbivorous main character. Lusa was the closest before, but even she ate meat and garbage. A panda bear on the other hand just munches bamboo. The reason I say this is interesting is because a lot of scenes in EH books involve hunting or other foraging to find food, whereas a panda just marches a few meters to find a new piece of bamboo, sits down, and starts eating it.

I really wish the font could be more unique and East Asian-ish, other than that, it looks pretty cool. I wonder that if there are baby pandas and humans in the series, that the Erins will write something about the fact that in real-life China, there are humans dressing up as pandas in order to take care of baby pandas. It seems like a hilarious plot point for me.

So since this is a new Erin Hunter series, will there be its own place like the other series or until it has officially been released?

Oooh looks amazing. I am kind of glad it's about Panda's now and not Gorilla's. I'm not fan of gorillas.
I hope the tiger in the background is a protagonist and not the Villain. We need more Tiger protagonists and character POVs.

Kind of odd to have a series about pandas after already having one about other sorts of bears. Wouldn’t be surprised if the decision was made in part to appeal more to Chinese audiences since I believe Warriors is very popular there. I like that it will have an Asian setting though and I’m interested in seeing what other animals will feature in the cast. Next time there’s another Erin Hunter series I’m rooting for a smaller species to get the spotlight. Particularly a prey animal, like a meerkat, or a bird.

Meerkats are definitely predators, little guys are ferocious. They're actually the mammal which holds the record for the most deaths being caused by other meerkats, as 20% of all fatalities will come from being killed by another meerkat. Forget the body count in Warriors, call the Meerkat series "Barbarians" and watch the bodies pile up xD

I love it, especially the addition of the tiger in the back. I think they will play a key role in the story. I'm not the biggest fan of the title, though.

Don't let their small size fool you, they're still quite vicious, especially when it comes to their own species. Just as they made for an excellent nature documentary (granted, one that took liberties now and then), they could also make for quite the dramatic book series.

Meerkats are murderous little things, yeah. And they already live in groups. It's also mildly horrifying how monkeys and lemurs are higher up there than lions who are infamous for this kind of thing. Also props to the chinchilla for being so high up there. The stat for sea lions is also pretty interesting. I think THAT would be a very unique series, having an animal series based around seals and sea lions. I don't think anything like that has ever been done before and it has a lot of potential I think with them having to avoid shark attacks daily, defend the best beaches and rocks, and hunt for prey in the water. Sundance Yeah, I figured it was time for a change and raptorial worms are underrated, so bobbit worm it is!
