Yeah, looks good! Does Estelle have Faith as a strength? But even if she doesn't I guess she could have learned those two spells already, given her interest in magic. As for Fion, his Faith spells are pretty good despite it being only the beginning of the year but in his case it actually makes sense so no issues there. Nothing to say about the others ^^ But Adora sure has an interesting list, using both black and dark magic but not a single Faith spell. Love it!
I'm thinking of how quick my characters will learn new spells. Those more interested in magic (Callan and Nora, maybe Agnar as well once he's learned his first spell) would be fast learners. Callan will mainly focus on Reason while Nora will try to focus on both Faith and Reason equally. I think both will learn a new spell during the first month or at the start of the second. Akakios will learn Bohr during one of the earlier months but won't use it yet. I guess he'll learn Warp during the sixth month. He sucks at Faith, after all. Agnar will learn his first spell near the end of the month, shortly before the mock battle.
As for the others, I don't know yet. They're not really interested in magic but I guess Vincent will learn Heal and Nosferatu at the start of the second month. And Jasmine doesn't care about magic at all. It'll take her a long time until she bothers with picking up a spell or two.
Yeah, let's keep it simple with those names.
Sounds good! Otherwise Akakios would just use it the first chance he gets.

You're right, of course! I wasn't thinking about that, but Estelle shouldn't know any faith yet since it isn't one of her strengths '^^
Fion's does make sense though given the fact that he has already completed a term at The Royal School of Sorcery in Fhirdiad.
Alas, Adora isn't really a magic user so I may not get an opportunity to use her interesting list, but hey, at least it exists haha
Grimm also won't be using his spells, no fire for me :'<
Learning speed will be interesting. I don't have an exact roadmap for my characters yet, I'll probably end up playing it by ear. So long as no-one ends up getting left behind (unless it's from plot reasons ofc), we're good.

Finding someone who would insult her, whether intentionally or not, shouldn't be too hard ^^ Jasmine would definitely do that. As for light-hearted jokes, sounds like something Julius would do. Pretty sure some other characters would do that too. Sussuru continuing our talk from the rp page: I think he could have mentioned it before or at least implied it. But having outright said it seems more likely.
Maybe the students could visit the Star Terrace on certain days. Well, evenings or nights. How about Saint Macuil Day (21st of the Harpstring Moon), Saint Cethleann Day (12th of the Blue Sea Moon), Saint Cichol Day (27th of the Ethereal Moon), Saint Seiros Day (11th of the Guardian Moon) and Saint Indech Day (2nd of the Lone Moon)?
Yup! Still nothing compared to that creepy scene at the end of chapter 10 (I think? The one with the Sealed Forest) though. I swear, I was so surprised I made some weird confused/horrified squeak-yelp-like noise XD

I like that! It gives the Saint Days something other than the special meal in the Dining Hall which I think is nice.
Come to think of it, if anyone wants to add a couple more events / festivities to the calendar, let me know! We've got a lot of space to fill and there's no need to stick to only the canonical festivals.
Some ideas I had real quick:
- A culture-sharing day where lessons are focused on learning the fighting styles from Morfis, Sreng and Albinea + food from said regions is served in the Dining Hall. Basically a heavy-handed way to force the students to appreciate the 'outsiders' cultures (kitsune, taguel and wolfskin especially since it's their first year being accepted at the academy and Garreg Mach wants to build lasting connections...)
- The Lantern Festival. I don't have many thoughts on this one, I guess it just sounds pretty? Students set lanterns afloat in the pond and make wishes upon them in hopes that the Goddess will grant them. Somewhat similar to the Goddess Tower wishes from the game but not necesserily in a romantic context?

Yes! More events and festivities! I can't think of any right now but I'll let you know if I come up with something. They both sound good! Any idea during which months they'll be held? The culture-sharing day seems like it doesn't require a specific month or season. But now I'm worried that some students would set their lantern on fire instead of just lighting it xD Akakios would do this on purpose.

Makes sense. So one of the earlier months. But imagine, the culture-sharing day soon after the events during the Verdant Rain Moon You know, right after dealing with the racist group of fanatics which would have been more or less traumatizing for our 'outsiders'. That would definitely be the worst time for such an event and everyone would question Hera's sanity. "With all due respect, Lady Hera, you are an asshole." Nope, let's have that culture-sharing day before that xD |

Haha, we'd better not! It's fun to think about though. I can totally see my characters being super uncomfortable with it, even Akakios would be shocked. But he'd totally go along with it just to see everyone's reaction. Nora and Vincent would begin to seriously question the archbishop's wisdom, Agnar wants to be anywhere but there and Callan just doesn't want to exist.

That's okay, Spark, take your time ^^ Hope it's not too stressful for you. So. For other events and festivities, maybe we can do something with the Founding Days? Just like with the Saint Days there's way too little to make them actually special. Too bad we can't really do much with the Adrestian Empire Founding Day since it's the first day of the Great Tree Moon XD The Founding Day of the Leicester Alliance is the 8th day of the Horsebow Moon and Holy Kingdom of Faerghus Founding Day is the 21st of the Red Wolf Moon. Aside from the Saint Days there could be more times for people to visit the Star Terrace. The Blue Sea Moon would be perfect for it. While it shouldn't be open every day of the month I think it could be open every Sunday during that time. Or Saturday because I'm sure the professors won't appreciate it when a bunch of students can't pay attention during class because they stayed up late on Sunday night. For other stuff, I'm looking over each month's description/introduction again. It mentions some interesting stuff. Let's take the Harpstring Moon for example. It says that spring planting begins and that the saints are honored through joyful music-making. Or the Garland Moon, where young women pick white roses to weave them into garlands which are given to close friends and potential lovers. Also, can we have a large feast at the end of the Horsebow Moon? It's when the fall harvest begins and men set out to hunt with horsebows so there's bound to be lots of good stuff.
Completely unrelated but how about there will be lessons where the students get to train with some of the knights for all sorts of different scenarios? Not just in defeating the other group but also in defending an area or even in escaping. We don't even have to do it 'on-screen' and just mention it. Gotta prepare the kids for everything, ya know. Totally not asking this because I have an unhealthy obsession with defense/survival maps.

I'm all for skipping once we're ready! We still need to know how our idiot-detectives find out about those rumors though. Some could help with the greenhouse and also plant flowers in various other places around the monastery, much to Philomel's delight. I imagine the punishment would have to be a full week of stable duty or something to that effect like being put through their paces by an especially strict knight. There isn't a huge amount they can do to punish them other than that. Stern words from the professors are a given, naturally. So the group is... Julius Rekka Grimm (I don't think Ember mentioned who yet? Correct me if I missed it Ember34) This is looking like Golden Deer & friends which doesn't surprise me '^^ Tomorrow I'll see about picking specific days / weeks for the new festivals + note down the ones that already existed. Now you need to pick the months for the Lantern Festival and the culture-sharing day. The latter needs to happen before the Verdant Rain Moon though unless we really want for Hera to be this insensitive xD

I didn't feel very well today so I didn't get around to writing up the updated calendar (sorry!) but I'm pretty sure I can get to it tomorrow. Please bear with! I'll be using your post as a guide, Pineclaw, thank you ^^ I suggest that we skip a week (or two? I don't know how fast you guys want to move?) and then, on the weekend of that second / third week, we'll have the Occult Club do their thing. Said group of idiots will then do at least one 'investigation' each month. Like a mini mission. But with no serious consequences... hopefullyyy. Though I was thinking that, being part of the group, Rekka could end up being the first 'outsider' to be kidnapped during the Blue Sea Moon. The occult group end up reporting that he went missing, investigations commence from there? |

Take your time, Sussuru ^^ Sounds good. I'm all for a one-week skip unless everyone else wants to skip two. I guess by then everyone knows who their classmates are and the more outgoing ones will have introduced themselves to some students from the other two classes. Pretty sure Nora, Vincent and especially Julius will have met most of them at that point while Agnar might have approached Alastair and Rekka to get to know them a little. Not sure if Jasmine would have interacted with Imrie and Megumi during that week (or two weeks) but at the very least she would have made a point of glaring at them whenever she saw them. I guess Callan wouldn't have interacted much with the other houses and would mostly stick to his classmates, mostly Rekka and to a slightly lesser extend Estelle. He definitely won't be comfortable around Searc though because he finds him intimidating xD At least one 'investigation' each month sounds fun! Do you think the Daring Occultist Reconnaissance Kids Squad aka D.O.R.K.S (please don't actually have them pick that name) will be good at sneaking around without being caught or would the other students find out about them early on? But I guess even that won't stop our idiots from doing their thing, some of them might even think that it makes things more exciting.
Oooh, that would be something! Makes me almost feel bad for Rekka though, depending on how long it'll take everyone to track down the racist cult. Being stuck with those creepy dudes for so long can't be pleasant.

Now would be a good time to list all the character's birthdays so that I can add them as well  That depends on their avoid, I guess haha I reckon rumours will spread about them pretty quickly if only because Grimm or someone ends up bragging about it. Not to mention, if professors are constantly punishing them, that'll draw some attention too. Every school has it's problem students!Come to think of it, the kidnappings should probably start closer to the actual investigation's conclusion. For a game, bumbling about for a month is fine but I wouldn't want to leave anyone kidnapped for more than a week for obvious reasons '^^ |

Konstantin - 11th of the Pegasus Moon
Julius - 17th of the Harpstring Moon (Akakios - 2nd of the Ethereal Moon. None of the characters need to know that though.)
So the occult club is a secret that pretty much everyone knows about Yeah, I guess we shouldn't leave them for too long. No excuse to keep them waiting anyway. "No, we can't go look for them now! There'll be so many fish to catch tomorrow! And I haven't achieved the next support level with my friends yet! Can't we wait a few more weeks?"
