What's your opinion about this story?
I personally found it pointless. Not only did it introduce pointless cats like Minty or Jessy, it was just... really slow. I did not like Minty. She was like Old Daisy, but 10x worse, whining about not having a basket or whatnot. I did like Dovewing and Millie. Millie was definitely likable in this story, but Bumblestripe was a freak, whispering in Dovewing's ear about having kits.
All in all, I would have been fine if the Erins didn't continue to make more books. BrS just seems pointless now because the Erins continued more books

i read it a while ago and haven't touched it since but yeah, there wasn't too much going on in the book. at least, i dont remember anything too interesting about it. im still really angry about jessy because the book just sort of ends with her going "nah you should stay with squirrelflight instead". i guess the main point of the book was character development for bramblestar but i feel like it could've been written a bit better

It was really disappointing, and probably the worst book in the series for me. Most of the book was the cats going on patrol and walking around, with some random drama at the end that did nothing to affect the overall story line.

I got the feeling several times, that the authors were setting up Bumblestripe as the future leader of ThunderClan.

I didn't like the book either. It is one of my least favorite books in series because it was mostly boring, cliche, and did not offer anything worthwhile to the story other than a set up for the newest arc, and to kill off some characters.

I liked it more than Yellowfang's Secret at least, but it was a rather pointless book. The only thing I enjoyed about it was seeing the characters again and that scene where Jay and Lion were fooling around while on a walk with Squirrel and Bramble.

Bumblestripe was creepy, with his obsession with Dovewing.

This honestly dulled down Bramblestar for me. Most of this book was forgettable and has no influence on the current story or characters besides getting BrambleXSquirrel back in a dumb way, Squirrel getting pregnant, killing off Seed and Dust, LionXCinder kits, Bramble knowing SkyClan, and getting Stormcloud.
