Chapter 1
"Mousebrain!" An angry calico she with icey blue eyes yowled. That she-cat is you. You had just missed another bird today. Pinefrost, a dark brown tom with fierce yellow eyes walks up to you. "This is the fourth time today, have you forgot how to hunt? You're supposed to stalk your prey silently, then pounce on them and kill them. You can't just go around being the loudest cat in the forest, what did I tell you last time..." Great. Now you're being lectured by your former mentor. Well, what's your name? Every cat has one.

Oh, yeah..how could you forget? "You know what? Just go back to the warriors den, you won't be any use if you can't catch a single bird" You roll your eyes, and shamefully walk back to the warriors den. "Hey, it's Cedarpelt, right?" A tall, handsome black tom with amber eyes walks into the den. "Yeah..um.." The black tom just smiled and grinned. "You can call me Nightfur. Also, I brought a finch that you might want to share?" He asked, showing you the finch. What do you do? You have been hunting, but you haven't caught anything so it's almost like breaking the warrior code...you're still tired from trying to successfully catch prey, so you think you deserve it from all that hard effort.

"Well...I didn't get to catch anything today. Not like I didn't try! I just..well.." you paw the finch back to him. He looks angry, and dissapointed. "Fine." Nightfur growled, and left the den. Suprisingly, Nightfall came quickly after that. Did I mess up? you say to yourself. Maybe if you'd accepted the offer, you would've had a friend in the clan. Well, the gathering is coming up tommorow, so I better get to sleep....

I yawned, opening my eyes. I got up onto all four of my paws, and walked out of the warriors den. What should I do first? I need to prove myself someway...

Selected name: Ferretpaw "Ferretpaw, it's time for battle training!" You announce, waiting patiently outside of the apprentice's den. "Coming!" A voice responds from the den. You wait for the tom to come out of the den. Finally, a slim black tom with a white belly and white head exits the den. "Follow me." You lead your apprentice to the training hollow, and stop. "Alright, you make the first move." Ferretpaw waits, and then leaps on you, pinning you down. What's your move? |

Selected move: Claws sheathed belly rake
You make sure your claws are sheathed, and gentley slide your paws across Ferretpaw's belly, giving a little bat at it after, and manage to make it back on all four paws. You see Pinefrost watching you, and he calls out, "Finally! Being useful and training your own apprentice," he pads away. Ferretpaw had got in a good few bats at your hind leg. What do you do?

You decide to pull it up by the scruff. You race towards the stream, and tighten your fangs lightley on the kit's scruff. You see a tortiseshell-and-white queen come over to you. "Oh, thank you for saving my kit!" The queen purrs, and takes the kit. "No problem, ____!"

Amberwish and Nightfur leave, and you move over to the rock, sitting down. "Our deputy, Beestrike, has sadly passed," You dip your head in respect. "It is time...to choose a new deputy," Froststar scans the clearing. Who do you hope the new deputy is? |

Froststar announces, silencing the few voices that still mingled in the clearing. "Cedarpelt will be the new deputy." |
