What are some names that, in your opinion, don't match the cat?
IMO, Flamepaw is a strange name for a black cat. Beenose also seems strange for a white cat (I imagine 'Bee-' fitting a tabby). Sorrelstripe... doesn't have a stripe? Brindleface, while I like the name, doesn't fit a grey tabby. Brindle is noted as being brown or tawny stripes of colour. I would change Pink Eyes name to... anything else.
Thoughts?

Probably.... bristlefrost since I imagined a large cat with long tabby fur. Or I think I’m just weird lol

Tanwypelt is a tortoiseshell, not a tawny cat. I think she was supposed to be golden like her mother, but they changed her to be tortoiseshell.

Ivypool. Pool sounds too gentle and calm. (I know she was named after someone, but still)
I'm a little curious how Yellowfang got the name "Yellowkit" when she's dark gray.

Twilight Sparkle Her suffix says it all. Also, Blossomfall and Rainflower are such nice names, but the cats' personalities are just something else.

Ṣanɗypaw™ cats arent born with visible teeth though, and they certainly wouldnt be yellow already. i was going to say maybe she was named because of her eye color but their eyes arent open either, and when they do open theyre blue for a while. xP
poor yellowkit

Blackstar, he is a white tom, I believe Whiteclaw because he’s a black tom Blackstar has black paws (hence why he was named Blackfoot), and Whiteclaw I think you could argue is after his one white paw.

i love that genetically correct yellowfang would ACTUALLY be yellow....wow what a missed opportunity for that lol
dustpelt isn't dusty-brown...and in my mind, dusty would imply pale, almost ashy/grayish brown...but nope, dustpelt is dark brown
tawnypelt...tawny is a brownish-orange color and yet she's a calico...i dont blame people for wanting her to be like goldenflower, but if they made her golden-brown instead, it'd fit way more with her name just as well
the biggest offender is birchfall. i will DIE on this hill. he should have been a silver/gray tabby. why in the world did they change him to be brown!? it's lowkey sexist to make toms look just like their dads...real cat genetics states toms actually get their coat colors from their moms...birch trees are silver. whoever edited him as brown by mistake...i just wanna talk...

Beetlewhisker.. (....) If you want me to list the reasons I will gladly do. Please do With pleasure. 1. The first sufix... Beetle... BEETLE? What was he named that for? I know kits can be small but not THAT small. Was he named for his pelt or something? Or after a parent? I don't think Beetle is a good first suffix. 2. Last time I checked.. I don't think Beetles have Whiskers.... :l That's all I have to say cause those are the two problems I have with the name "Beetlewhisker." Don't get me wrong I like the cat I just don't like the name! At least Mousewhisker or Jayfeather have names that make since..

Tawnypelt is the biggest one for me. It's even more frustrating since her actually being tawny was the original intention, so I'm wondering why they changed it.

The series has established quite a few times already that a kit's eye color doesn't change, like with Leafpool's kits. And also like with Leafpool, as well as Turtle Tail, sometimes mothers will wait until their kits' eyes are open before naming them. That being said, unless her eyes were originally meant to be yellow (they're orange, but have been described as yellow on occasion) or was named after someone with yellow in their name, Yellowfang's name in terms of the prefix doesn't make sense either way.

Last time I checked.. I don't think Beetles have Whiskers.... :l To be fair, fires and oak trees don't have hearts, either. From the very beginning, the names weren't meant to be taken literally unless it's actually about the cat's physical appearance (ex: Mousefur). For all we know, Beetlewhisker could've been a good navigator or something.

This isin't a name that i dislike because they "don't match the cat", but what in the world is Mousewing? A mice with wings? and Perchwing? Seriously? Like I said, the names aren't meant to be taken literally anyway. A perch is also a type of fish, fitting for someone born into RiverClan.

Littlecloud being a brown tabby still baffles me. I can't help but picture him as a small, white tom.

Yep, Flamepaw just confuses me. He has a black pelt. And then we have Yellowfang who is a gray cat with orange eyes. Still confused about Sorrelstripe.
