Who is your favorite CinderLion kit? For me, it’s between Spotfur and Fernsong but I chose Spotfur!

I'd pick Fernsong if he had more to see of him (And if we actually saw him in the nursery...). But as it stands I pick Spotfur, she has more of a active role and thus my attention.

Fernsong is my favorite out of all of them. What an absolute cinnamon bun he is.

I voted for Fernsong because him respecting Ivypool's concerns about having kits and offering to take care of them, after she was done with nursing, is still so refreshing to read about that I can only hope a few other toms (*cough* Finleap *cough*) will also follow his example.
Although it would have been nice to actually see Fernsong as a nursery king I think his interactions with Bristlefrost during TBC so far have proven that he did a splendid job.

The only one I really like a lot is Spotfur. Fernsong is also a good guy, but we don't see much of him. None of the other ones have defined personalities or are relevant in any way iirc.

Fernsong and Spotfur are the only ones with personality the others are just background characters. Out of those 2 I like Fernsong slightly more

Fernsong because he's so adorable and kind. Spotfur and Flywhisker are tied for second.

Fernsong, Flywhisker, and Spotfur are the only ones with any real personality development. I don't particularly like Fernsong because of the way he tried to pressure Ivypool into having kits (though I do respect the fact that he was willing to be in the nursery so Ivypool didn't have to). I honestly found Flywhisker kind of annoying as an apprentice in AVOS. I genuinely do really like Spotfur and I think she has potential to become a great character (especially since she's gonna be getting her own novella - I really hope to see her developed more). So I have to go with Spotfur here.

Fernsong easily
And while I like Spotfur a lot, I kind of wish she had died instead of Stemleaf, so she won't reach Fernsong level of fondness

I know he didn’t pressure her the same way Finleap pressured Twigbranch or anything like that, but I remember being slightly annoyed and feeling like he was trying to come up with reasons to do something she clearly didn’t want to. Again, I haven’t read it in a while though - I didn’t love AVOS so there’s a good chance I’m not remembering the scene right lol.

In every scene he shares with Ivypool, they are shown being loving and kind to each other. Neither has ever pressured the other. But I get it, lol. I didn't love AVoS either. I tried to re-read it last month, but I couldn't lol.

This is like the third time I've seen this notion on the forums before and it still boggles me as to where it came from. Especially when the actual scene itself is the exact opposite of this notion...

So I have to go with Spotfur here. Fernsong never pressured Ivypool (unlike what Finleap did with Twigbranch). Here is their full conversation about having kits: Ivypool: "I'm not ready to have kits yet. Kits mean endless moons in the nursery. Daisy's getting too old to look after another litter, and I want to be out in the forest hunting and patrolling, not stuck in camp all the time." Fernsong: "Why do you have to be in the nursery with them?" Ivypool: "What do you mean? I have to nurse them, don't I? Who else can do that?" Fernsong: "But the nursing is over soon enough. Then you'd be able to go back to your warrior duties." Ivypool: "And leave our kits to raise themselves until they're six moons old?" Fernsong: "Of course not. Once the kits are eating prey, I can move into the nursery. I can move in before that, if you like, so you can go on patrols between feedings." Ivypool: "But you're a tom! Toms don't live in the nursery." Fernsong: "Why not? Apart from food, all kits need is love and some cat to play with them. I can't think of a better way to spend my days." Ivypool: "I'll think about it. Maybe after Leaf-bare is over." —Ivypool and Fernsong discussing kits in Darkest Night, pages 72-73

The scene just makes me love Fernsong even more and it's nice to see couples in Warriors have a mature conversation about kits and compromise with each other. Ivypool expresses her concerns with having kits, Fernsong mentions how he'd like to alleviate her concerns, she says she'll consider it and seems enamored with how sweet he is, and then that's that.

Having re-read the scene between Fernsong and Ivypool, I realize I wasn’t remembering it correctly - I think in some way I feel like I got it mixed up with other conversations cats have had about kits - I feel like there have been a few too many circumstances of toms trying to pressure their mates into having kits with them, and I think with the vague memory I had of that scene (having only read it once before) I just automatically lumped Fernsong in with those toms. I realize now I was mistaken though lol.
While I do still personally prefer Spotfur out of the LionxCinder kits, I can definitely see why people like Fernsong.
