What are your opinions on this book?
I had delayed re-reading it, and when I finally got my hands on the book, I couldn't even read half of it. Spottedpaw and Thistleclaw's relationship made me too uncomfortable. I was surprised how much it bothered me. Thistleclaw is disgusting, and Spottedpaw was unbearable in that book. Hate it. It's one of the two books in the series I will go out of my way to dislike. This, and Squirrelflight's Hope.

Long answer: Hate it. That thing was disgusting. Thistleclaw and Spottedpaw's relationship is the most disgusting thing in the world... or maybe not, just among the list of The Most Disgusting Things in the Warriors Universe, probably hovering over the first, second, or third place. Thistleclaw's manipulation is disgusting, Spottedpaw is unbearable in that thing.
+Random, but why isn't it named Spottedpaw's Heart? I know she later is Spottedleaf, but it's not shown in the novella. Tigerheart's Shadow isn't Tigerstar's Shadow. Is it because it's a spoiler?

I border on neutral to dislike for this book. I can read some uncomfortable topics in books so I was able to read most of this book.
Honestly this novella was kinda pointless imo? Like what was its purpose? Trying to say Thistleclaw is evil? That was already established well enough in Crookedstar’s Promise and in Bluestar’s Prophecy, mostly in the former imo because it showed him directly proclaim his loyalties to the Dark Forest. This novella seemed like a bad fanfiction. A really bad one.
Spottedpaw was okay in this book, she didn’t do anything wrong of course. Thistleclaw was gross, the whole thing was uncomfortable and I don’t really know who allowed this.

I dislike this novella because it seems it was only created to say Thistleclaw was evil. Thistleclaw was already established as evil, he was a danger for his son Whitepaw, manipulated Tigerpaw, and trained in the dark forest at CP.

It's bad for obvious reasons.
But other than that I enjoyed Spottedleaf's PoV because it gave her a bit more development than in the main series.
So the Neutral option it is for me.

Unnecessary. Thistle AND Spottedleaf were out of character
Thistle's love for Snowfur was his redeeming quality. This was just because Vicky hated him
Also, Spottedleaf wanting to be a warrior?

Dislike. The Thistleclaw part was not needed, as everyone already knew that he was a villain, and only served to make the SH more uncomfortable to read than necessary.
