It's been a long while since I went by this name.
Hello, Warrior's Forums! I hope you're all doing well these days, new members or returning. I longed for the cozy atmosphere and (comparatively) easygoing community of the messageboards again, and so I've returned to the place that got me through elementary and middle school.
I remember JanaM and Joe S. leaving, I remember the creation of the art forum and the "blood ban," I remember the mile-a-minute roleplays with no planning and all fun, kit thievery, the "headlights" censoring, and most distinctly I remember being a rude little asshole about "critique" and "anatomy" to people who were having fun drawing things that made them happy.
I would like to think I've improved my conduct since then. I've also graduated, gotten a goose, gotten a job, moved out, moved back in due to the pandemic, and made a plan to move in with my boyfriend in Utah, who I happened to have met on the original forums during an art contest.
It's great to see this old format and forum theme again, and it's great to see that it's still kicking in some form after the reformat and shutdown.

Hey! It's so cool to see a familiar face around here! I remember this screen name but I can't remember for the life of me WHERE specifically - were you active in the art forums? Or perhaps the RP forums? I joined the forums way back in 2009 (as Fernshine, and then RattusDomesticus) and since then I graduated high school, left a cult, socially transitioned, got my AA degree, worked a crap ton of various jobs, and moved in with my partner! Nowadays I do a ton of freelance art commissions and some fursuit stuff on the side.
I remember all that mod drama and the blood ban too lol. This forum reminds me of all the good about the forums without any of the bad. I come on every so often to lurk but I lowkey wanna start posting more often!

I was very active in the art forums! I think for a while I was obsessed with Burton's properties and The Muppets. I was also a jerk that whined about people not accepting "constructive criticism" despite being completely unqualified to give it.
I distinctly remember your second username! Did you run a comic a while back about rats? I think you're the reason I learned that rats can display compassion.
It's good to see that others gravitated back towards the forum, and you've done a hell of a lot in that time! Serious congrats on the cult thing, that's an incredibly difficult thing to get through.
From what I gleaned reading the rules and a few of the threads, this place really does feel like it distilled all the fun parts of the forums and junked everything else. I was extremely pleasantly surprised about the pride flag flairs!
It's always nice to hear people are doing good, and I hope you continue to do good out there.

I was VERY much into the whole ~constructive criticism~ thing at the time them too lmao xD I made the rat comic, yes! It warms my heart so much to think that it impacted someone's view of rats and that they still remember it even now! I haven't touched that thing in almost a decade but I know I put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into it as a kid. Geez dude you made my day. And thank you! You've done a lot too! I'd love to see your goose lol. My boyfriend and I have two wonderful bunnies. I'd love to get rats whenever we move to a bigger apartment. And YES the new forums are great, I love how they're LGBT friendly this time hahaha. |

All you need to do to be LGBT friendly is break away from the forums and have 90% of the wider forum population including at least 50% of the moderating team being blatantly and openly not straight. XD Then you get this. We added the pride flags one Pride Month and everyone liked them so much we never took them down. XD
Heeeeeeeey by the way! I'm Mint! Another nice thing about the forums is the mods are actually chatty little things who, at least in my case, like bounding into all introduction posts and waving furiously.
Likely because we were all regular users before we were mods. I'm loath to become like the old forum moderators. I'd die from lack of chatting about random stuff.
Anyway, nice to see you! Nice to have ya around! If you're ever looking to chat or have a question, I'm always up!

Well that certainly helps a lot! I'm glad I don't have to imply my trans status through venty MSPaint drawings anymore, that was... slightly embarrassing.
Active community mods are always a welcome sight! That probably contributes to how homey the forums feel now as opposed to the cat-themed Lord Of The Flies stuff that went on before. Do mods still sign signatures nowadays?
I appreciate it immensely! Should I have any questions I will not hesitate! Thank you for making the reintroduction experience an enjoyable one.

Oh ain't that a mood. Pfft. RIGHT? I mean ... I think a couple of mods even have experience with that sort of stuff happening to them. I know I was suspended for something really stupid, so I ain't gonna be like those mods. And yeah, we still sign them if we're asked!  Glad to hear it! |
