(Yeah! Life has been pretty good I forgot to do an exam so OOPS but other than that its been great XD How about you? How have things been ^ - ^ )
Sesena
A day or two? She should have known it was going to take that long; they were in the middle of nowhere after all. Her wedding was going to have to be pushed back, not that she minded all that much. She didn't want to be getting married but that was her role as princess, marry and form an alliance for the good of the kingdom. "Wyndmere... I've heard of that town, not the nicest place from what I heard but I'm sure it better than the middle of the woods." The woman shrugged her shoulders. Plus a real bed was more than welcome after sleeping in hay. Listening to him speak she nodded, low profile, they could do that. She'd given her fancy dress away and not many knew her face so that would be easy enough right?
As he worried about if bandits were lurking the princess was busy gazing around at how beautiful it was outside. The castle had beautiful gardens that were maintained and trimmed to perfection. But this, was breathtaking. The meadow was wild and over grown, covered in small flowers and the forest was dark, tall and mysterious. As the sky began to glow a faint pink the world seemed to come to life before her eyes. Birds began stirring and flying around like Renn and Sesena didn't even exist.
His voice dragged her from her daydreams and she blinked turning her head to him. "Huh?" Sesena took a minute to register what he had said. "Uh Oh, uhm, lets press on. For a bit." The woman paused thinking for a minute. "Well...Wait we don't have any money and no telling if the sympathy card will work again, considering we have horses and semi-normal clothing. Perhaps we could find something out here??" She didn't really know how to scavenge or find anything out here. Food was brought to her on a pretty plate and set on her table. She never had to go looking. But they weren't in the castle anymore and they'd have to find something somehow. "Though... if I'm being honest I have no idea what I'd be looking for..."

[ oops xD doing online stuff makes remembering assignments and exams difficult since you don't have that class structure.
i've been good! started university and getting into groove with it but otherwise life has been uneventful lol. there isn't really much to do between work, study, and chores lol. ]
RENN
Renn reached up and rubbed his hand over the nape of his neck, his gaze narrowed with his characteristic seriousness. The sympathy card certainly wouldn't always work; he was regretful to think that he would take something by force if he had too. He didn't like the idea of playing a villain. It certainly sounded selfish to think he would mug someone for a bite to eat but the stakes were much higher then a night of hunger pains. If something happened to the Princess, if they didn't arrive in time, the Prince of Janatar would have ample reason to send a warband out for the King. He gritted his teeth in frustration against the politics of the situation. However, her eyes seemed round with wonder, even when they flickered uncertainly at the prospect of scavenging. On their journey throughout the day he frequently sneaked glances at the Princess and found comfort in her awestruck gaze as she watched birds dance overhead and stared at the fields of daffodils and daisies. She gave him a sense of hope. Even in dire times she admired the beauty of the world. I'll do my best to avoid having to resort to such things, he thought as Sesena mumbled about not knowing what to look for, it would be a shame to have her hate me.Even if he was doing it to protect her, he didn't want her to see him hold a sword to an innocent bystander.
He let his shoulders relax and offered the beginnings of a smile, "I know some hunting tactics." A bird or rabbit would make an easy meal, "I can show you some plants that are safe to eat, too." His training as a soldier had involved spending weeks out in the forest rationing supplies, so sometimes the squad would get creative with what they could eat. Sometimes it ended in illness, sometimes it was a pleasant surprise. "Come, we'll dismount in the forest, it'll be difficult to ride." He nudged his horse in the direction of the forest edge and dismounted carefully at its brim. The thoughts of bandits climbed up his spine again and he shuddered. There's no way they could know where we are, he reminded himself carefully.
When the Princess joined him, he grabbed the reins of his horse and pushed into the undergrowth. Thankfully it was sparse enough to allow the horses passage but dense enough to be the perfect home for critters and edible plants. Once they were a safe enough distance in that Renn was sure passersby wouldn't notice (and steal) their horses, he tied his mount to a tree. "They'll appreciate the rest," he gently stroked his hand down his mares neck.
With the horses settled, he turned to Sesena and struggled against the urge to feel nervous to be giving her instructions. "If you see any trees with small, lumpy, black berries let me know. They are called mulberries, they are safe and delicious." He gestured for her to follow as he trudged through the undergrowth, stepping expertly and moving freely around trees and bushes. "Sometimes there are fruit trees, too. Like plums or figs."

(I hate school LMAO I'm struggling with my bio psychology class it is sooooo boring and takes so much time!!! D:< I got so busy with this class I had to forget about everything else in life and I almost missed my tattoo appointment > . < )
Sesena
Sesena listen as he spoke, he seemed to know a lot more useful things than she did. It wasn't like she'd been allowed to learn that kind of thing. She knew how to sew and read and basic cooking but nothing of how to survive minus the bit of wound care she'd read about and practiced on the children in castle when they'd fall and eventually hurt themselves. Her eyes were fully locked on him and sparkled with interest. He was going to show her things she'd never be allowed to even think about at home.
Following him with her horse guiding it in the same direction she dismounted her horse with ease dropping gently on to the ground. "It is amazing that you know all that kind of stuff, I never had the chance to learn anything useful really, I wasn't allowed." The woman said as she followed after him pulling her horse with her. The princess gently pat the horse as they walked making sure the horse was calm since their path narrowed. Mimicking him she tied her horse to the tree and petting it happily, her horse returned the happy emotion pawing at the ground for a moment,
"Lumpy black berries got it." The woman nodding following after him quickly, she knew what some fruits looked like considering she ate a lot of them in the castle. "I don't think I've ever had one of those, figs and plums though, there is always one of them in the kitchen I think they are a favorite of my fathers." She shrugged her shoulder and looked around as they walked. Her eyes flickered to the floor as she wasn't used to walking around on such uneven ground so she was being careful not to trip and fall. For someone who was trained to be graceful she was anything but trying to maneuver around the plants "You make this look so easy." The woman laughed lightly as she hopped over a small tree that had fallen over.
