Riverbird led Watershade and Cedarthorn along the border by the abandoned Twoleg nest. Keeping her jaws parted to taste the air, she freezes, raising her tail to halt her patrol. "I smell strangers," she hissed to her Clanmates, dropping into a crouch as she slowly stalked toward the abandoned Twoleg nest.

Birch stared into the greenery, his eyes watching for any small creature that crossed his path with every step he breathed in the scents at marked the forest and the scent of other cats stood out the most. There was a few scent markers that let him know that other cats had been here before probably a few times, Birch wondered who these cats as there scent was different from cats that stayed around the twoleg places and he figured if he stay way from them everything will be fine. Flicking his ears at the sound of fluttering wings, Birch saw a robin land at the base of a tree pecking the down, lowering himself to the ground Birch quietly made his way over.
