I glanced at my feet, making sure not to step on any of the flowers around me on the pathway. I giggle and pick up a daisy, and then a couple more , my mind wandering around countless things, and my smile falters a little but I regain my good mood. Perhaps , maybe the flowers were keeping my mind at ease. Am I in a dream or is this the real thing. he makes me feel so real and loved, like I'm the only immortal who has a soul now. His passionate love brings tears to my eyes. We met summers ago , here in this tiny town. We reside at the Castle on the Hill, Xavier's . turning back to now, I had descended down the steps in my flowing gold and red gown, the bodice and corset tied so tight that a mortal surely could not breath. My hair is loose and in ringlets at my side, a ruby crown on my head. I threw on my deep rich purple cape, and placed the hood above my head as I stole out the door and down to the gates that held the gloomy forest from gaining more ground.
There.
He is so near right now.
How does he always catch up so fast?
I told him not to show up this time, again. Daddy had said he had to call before he meets with me, but he always plans us secret little rendezvous. But he always does, which gives me such hope for our courting. A persistent man, and a handsome one.
Crows cawing, I listened again for his voice, or any footsteps approaching. Then I had picked up some flowers for him, peering out of the gates for any figure in the fog.
