As usual, late to the punch but gonna toss some ideas here and see how everyone feels about them. Most if not all threads that will apply to the December activities will be stickied or announced. If there's something in here that doesn't make sense or you want to add, let us know. - Quizzes are self-explanatory. We'd find or come up with quizzes and post them on the forum and everyone would be able to post their results + discuss them.
- Holiday themed questions are also self-explanatory. They would go into OTD.
- Gift giveaway. A gift would be given away as if we were holding a raffle. The winner who gets the gift will be messaged and announced to the community. Gift could be digital.
- Gaming together is self-explanatory. We can set times and dates for the games that members are most interested in playing together.
- 12 days of... something. We'd obviously need to come up with a theme for this, but it could be posting one cat picture for 12 days or whatever. My creativity is non-existent, though I hope this makes some sense.
- Holiday photo contest would apply to photography. The theme would apply to the holidays and must be forum appropriate. The winner gets something.
- Doing a poll for thread of the year of each and every board. For example, OTD would vote on some popular or favorite threads and the thread with the most votes is called the thread of the year for OTD. The same would go for other boards. I would set this up on a thread of its own with the ability to vote and each thread would have a description in which would help people decide what thread was their favorite of the year. (This is very poorly explained. I can expand if anyone would like me to.)
- Other help staff out and give us some ideas or feedback.

I really like the idea of setting specific times for game nights so that people can actually attend. The Among Us thread was super fun when I did it, but it was a pain to just sit around and wait for people to choose to log in. XD
Also, Leap's idea of movie nights sounds great! Maybe a scheduled watch time and discussion time?
Other than gaming, my other two votes went to Quizzes (seems popular, lol) and Holiday-themed questions of the day.
The gift giveaway doesn't interest me at all. Seems like a lot of effort for so little payoff.
The 12 Days of X and the Photo Contests sound fun to have, I just personally wouldn't participate due to my extreme paranoia over sharing photos online. Other people might be into it though!
Thread of the Year I'm iffy on. On one hand, it could be fun for the creative boards. On the other, let's be real, Chicken's 2020 Warriors Debate thread is totally going to win the WG contest. XD
Overall I'm most interested in the ideas that revolve around a scheduled time for people to come together, like gaming or movie nights. I feel like that would get a lot of people involved, and as such would be way more fun.

Well, maybe the gift giveaway could be a raffle/wheel spin thing rather than a competition. I mean, we already do the candy hunts and occasional art and writing cons. We should have something that every forum member can enter without the pressure of needing to be online or have a skill to accomplish.
And/or, there could also be a prize for winners of games we play. Like whoever wins a certain number of among us rounds, or who gets the most votes in cards against humanity for funniest. Or even a wheel-spin for whoever is attending the movie nights.

Thats a better question for Sand but normally when I have seen people play games they make a thread with a link or join code to the real game in OTD. There was an among us thread there not too long ago and in the past people have played cards against humanity on the xyzzy website. |

The Polar Express or Home Alone 2 are also nice. It’s a Wonderful Life is my favorite Christmas movie, but I don’t know if it would be too serious for this. (Also has some religious themes) i actually only put the first home alone cause ive never seen it but ive seen home alone 2 multiple times so its a bit of a personal choice lol. if people vote for it though, maybe we can do both back to back.
