Aye! So just for some fun, I'm going to do a little name rater. Just give me three names and I'll give them ratings. I can also give explanations and/or alternatives if you'd like.

Ashnose Splashfang Ivybrook Cliffwing Webspots reasons? welcome back to misc time to rebuild the glory When you got busy with Thanksgiving and forgot about the thread...
These are my own evaluations on the names. My intention isn't meant to be mean if some of the names are ones I don't like. In the end, these are your names and it's your opinion that matters more.
Ashnose | 7/10 I like the image that popped into my head with this name, but I'm personally not a fan of -nose. It's a lot better than -snout and can work with visuals pretty well. Ash- is a prefix I like a lot. When I imagine the cat, I see then being adventurous and getting into everything they can. They could have a grayish or black pelt.
Splashfang 6/10 Splash- and -fang are some of my favorite to use for names, however they don't give that great of an image in my head. I can get how this would be a RiverClan cat's name, one that maybe is skilled in battle or ferocious. At the same time, I feel that may weaken the intention of the name.
Ivybrook 7/10 Like Splashfang, I love using both the suffix and prefix. Unlike Ashnose, I can visualize a scene instead of a cat. There are a lot more options personality wise for this cat. They can be a soft RiverClan queen with excellent swimming skills. They can also be a graceful hunter or fighter, turning the tides of a battle. The combination isn't the best in my opinion, as I'm having a hard time not associating Ivypool with this. It's something to be careful about with pairing Ivy- to any water suffix.
Cliffwing 5/10 Cliff is an awkward prefix to pair with. It's one of the few prefixes regarding an actual nature object that I'm not fond of seeing. (Crag and Meadow are two other examples.) I haven't found a good suffix to fit with Cliff- without following too closely with the traditional naming. As for -wing, I have no issues with it, and it helps build an idea that the cat could be great at climbing. My only main thing against the name is Cliffwing.
Webspots 6/10 I'm rating this slightly higher than Cliffwing because it does get a good visual for the cat's appearance, but I'm not too fond of them together. Web- is unique and I like it in certain scenarios. On the other hand, -spots comes off as a lacking descriptive suffix. To elaborate, we have others that give a better visual but they are often forced into the prefix spot. (Mottled or Brindle/Brindled being a select few.

Copperjaw Tigerlight Hazelfire I made most of these on the fly, give me reasons/replacements mate. Again, my evaluations aren't meant to be taken as mean. I'm just being honest.
Copperjaw 6/10 Using a one syllable suffix is a good idea for Copper. It's a harsh word to say in my opinion so reading it with other combinations really turns me away from the name. Copper can work for the metal or for the color, so it's usable if given the time and thought. The only downfall of the name is -jaw. It's a suffix I was never fond of. If I had to come up with an alternative right now, Copperleaf would suffice. It's a better alternative than Redleaf.
Tigerlight 7/10 Without too much thought, the name is nice. But since I'm rating them, I can't just read, nod, and move on. The suffix -light was always odd for me. I feel that it still hasn't found good use, as it can follow a stereotypical pattern of a goody-good protagonist. On the other side, some names with -light seem slapped together. Tiger is a prefix I like even with it's popularity. This is my favorite out of the three presented. Alternatives would be Tigerleap, or Littlelight.
Hazelfire 5/10 I really wanted to give it a higher rating because of Hazel-, but with the suffix of -fire really puts me off. At the same time, I've certainly seen worse names. Hazelfern could be an option if the cat has hazel eyes. (This is a name I've used.) Hazelblaze could be a better option for a fiery plant take.

Damn.. I've been nervous to rate these.
Browntalon 5/10 Color prefixes are a hit or miss with me. Sometimes they work out like Silverstream and other times they are bland like Graytripe. Browntalon gives the image of a plain cat without any distinct markings. I can see that maybe they would have claw marks from battles, but nothing to really make them stand out. I like talon being used, as it's a prefix or a suffix that isn't used enough. However, it's a tricky one to use because you have to walk the fine line over a good name or a stereotypical name. So, really talon is the only thing that gave it a mild rating.
Claystripe 6/10 Clay is an interesting prefix to use. I can see this cat being based in canyons more than in a forest. Stripe is a suffix that has been thrown a lot because of the first few arcs giving us such basic names and because of that, I'm not personally a fan. I rated higher because the visual image is different because of the canyon idea. Of course, this cat could also be in a water themed Clan, but I think I would prefer canyons for this name.
Loudsky 8/10 I'm rating this higher than the others because I didn't have to think about the reasoning and possible description. I instantly thought of a proud hunter prowling through the forest in a storm to bring back prey for their Clan or a warrior willing to face harsh weather to insure the safety of their Clanmates. Loudsky can fit multiple physical descriptions as well as terrain. I applaud the use of a funny prefix and twisting it to make a fairly nice, simple name.

I was really looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
Those are all great reasons! *0* <3 Thank you for giving them such high ratings, too! You've made me proud.
You were pretty spot on with Browntalon, actually. He's just a solid, dark brown color, without any distinctive markings, like you said! I gave him the suffix -talon because he's a bit of a powerhouse in battle, but he's from WindClan, so I wanted something bird/sky related.
You were also kinda spot on with Claystripe. He's from a fan-clan I've been mulling over, based in ancient Greece, where the terrain is stony. Claystripe was a nod to pottery.
Meanwhile, I just liked the sound of Loudsky. xD
Could I submit more? I'd love to hear what you think of... Greenbranch, Brushflower, and Sleekpool.
