so I was banned for saying after the migration to here "this place is empty lol" even though I had for the past 3 months referenced nothing but a nsfw opera that broke every forum rule it I was never banned for lmao I stalked wcf for like 4 years before joining so I've technically been here for five years, man I'd sit on my old kindle fire for hours reading the forums at night planning out my future forum career, I decided back then in 2012 when I got an account I would call it Redheart of RiverClan. The name obviously stuck. (it was 2012 who can blame me) a friend of mine got angry once because I referred to Fireheart as Firestar and she hadn't finished the first series yet lmao i know I have more I just have to remember them Yeah, I've been around on the hell forums for like 5/4 years as well. I lurked for a couple years, joined the original WCF when I was twelve. I remember looking at OTD and thinking "who would want to talk about that when you can talk about warriors?" And here I am now, 96% of my posts in OTD, and my comic isn't even set in the warriors universe at all smh

But I actually didn't read the books until now, lol (And I still need to find the first book in the second series)
yep
I have a planned webcomic for the future but
it's not warriors related at all

I mean the only posts you can find of me that are warriors related are for roleplaying, forum games, or if OTD is just that slow and of course my screen name but that's there more for nostalgia of the old warriors series and because that's what everyone knows me as

I have a weird story about what caused Ambergris to even exist but I think I've told it already yeah I'm just going to tell you some of the bizarre things that have happened to Ensemble and it's beta-version predecessor because man the stuff is golden First of all, I always loved the freaking baby Einstein videos as a kid, and I watched them religiously until I was ten ( was bizarre). My brother and I had like 30 vides of the stuff lmao my favorite was always baby mozart. (You know, this one. That one was the best of them BY FAR NO QUESTIONS ASKED. There's a bit near the end that 6-year-old me decided was my jam. Two songs, it's pretty short, BUT THEY WERE THE GREATEST THINGS TO EVER HIT MY EARS. (it's around the 22:10 mark in the video) So, when I first saw The Magic Flute as a kid, I instantly recognized those two songs because in the opera they're the ones that Papageno sings. And since The Magic Flute in and of itself was a big part of my childhood, Papageno basically grew to represent my childhood to me. So in short, Ensemble has basically been the logical conclusion for me since I was like... one When I went to go see The Barber Of Seville, you can hear the audience faintly whispering Bugs Bunny's improvised lyrics to the overture from The Rabbit of Seville lmao people always think it's a brilliant idea to take their kids to any and every Mozart opera. This doesn't work out well usually, unless you get a particularly child-pandering version of The Magic Flute (which I did have to sit through once as I recalled in the Field Trip threads). The Mozart operas can be better named The "French Revolution feat. Explaining to your kids a lot", "Murder and Violence feat. Explaining to your kids a lot", "Sexism: The Manifesto", "Those Other Two That Nobody Cares About", and "Racist Sexist Freemasonry Propaganda with Two Consecutive Scenes of Depression and Suicide But It's A Fairy Tale So It's OK For Kids". It's kind of hilarious though watching parents take their kids to like Don Giovanni or something only to quickly realize that they might have scarred their children a bit there and have this amazing "Oh, Crap!" look on their face. There's a character me and some of my friends all refer to as Tomato Man. I forget why, but it's probably better without context tamino was once a pale tan tabby with the thick black stripes he has now, but that coloration now is on a different character. Tamino's golden coloration has more ~symbolism~, especially when compared with Pamina's dull blues and purples and white markings. on that note pamina was once gray but tbh she looks better in blue-gray you know what everyone's fur color has some kind of symbolism lmao there's a lot more than that honestly

aight so the queen's milk-white fur not only represents the moon and all that but the very genetic basics of how white pelts work says a lot about her character and I'll stop there because spoilers As you can see in the tag yourself thing, Tamino has rich goldens and yellows in his color scheme while Pamina has dull blues and purples. It represents their views and backgrounds, as they are the Sun and the Moon. And the balance of the sun and the moon is the overarching theme for the entire comic. Papageno is brown and white because that's a very common coat color and Papageno is one of the common folk. He never wants to life a life of glory or anything sublime, he'd rather be content with what he has. He has greens in him as well because he is modeled off of the eclectus parrot, known for its neophobic but friendly and talkative ways similar to him. Also, in captivity male and female Eclectuses were long kept apart and were regarded as different species, which also has something to do with Papageno's hand in the plot. Leporello is dark brown and yellow because of his dark, cynical view of life and his cowardice, and his stubby tail and long ears go back to his name (which as I've said means "rabbit"). He's also been made to specifically look roughly like another character so that if they disguised as each other they'd be unrecognizable, thus fixing up a plot hole in Don Giovanni. The three ladies are calicoes because calicoes are generally stereotyped as spunky and happy-go-lucky, and also because of the number three thing. Tigrissa's case has a lot of spoilers, but she's designed to look somewhat like her obvious namesake and like a certain cat breed. Figaro, who makes his appearance in the update later today, is a fox-like ginger, because well, he acts like a fox (clever and independent). We obviously can't have him black and white otherwise Disney would sue me, and we can't have him be gray because people would think it's a Bugs Bunny reference.

neb nothing seems to go well for him in operas and in comics. he's literally at the end of the rope, his life as he knows it is over, his life-long crush is pretty much dead, he has no money, but at least he can count on the social castes and the class system remaining the same- only for the character that helped kickstart the French Revolution to show up and be all "you are freaking insane, why are you so insistent on classes being like this, I thought you would know better"

neb he certainly does lmao. he's morally gray though so it isn't like he's completely undeserving of it that's the nice thing about Ensemble: everybody is morally gray and nobody is 100% good or bad. some are only considered "good" because they're better than the other option, which is how it is in real life as well. there isn't a single character in Ensemble who's completely good or completely evil edit: wait a second, Ensemble is pretty much the opposite of warriors. Warriors had a fire-themed protagonist against a tiger-themed antagonist, whereas Ensemble (act one to be specific) has a tiger-themed protagonist against a fire-themed antagonist. warriors was about a pet cat leaving his old home where ensemble is about a pet cat returning to his old home. there's a lot more opposite parallels than that but they all concern the plot so i can't really get into them

strong hawk was on both the OG cult and here, they left for a long time and just returned. the forumer that really liked thomas the train and cars and things like that. they're hilarious, i think you'd recognize them/remember them when they can finally post on here.
