Pumpkin ate the herbs as Vicky told her, it felt so good to lay down and not have the pressure on her sides. She closed her eyes, reflecting on everything that happened in one day. They lost one of their own, got revenge, and now they have a prisoner… The cat deserves to learn his lesson, a life was taken too soon because of the recklessness of some clan cat. As she got lost in her thoughts she began to fall asleep.

Eaglepaw watched Sunny’s behavior closely, though he couldn’t come to a conclusion on what the tom’s intentions were asking about his family. Of course his family was worried. He missed his father but he knew he would come to rescue him. Hopefully it wouldn’t be too late when he did. He didn’t want to give too much away to the tabby. “Yes.” He answered shortly and started pondering on a question to ask in return. After a few heartbeats he came up with something. “Why are you so interested in me?” It was a genuine question he wondered about.

Vicky just let Pumpkin drift off, it seemed like she really needed the sleep. She’d treat her other side once the she-cat would wake up. For now Vicky curled up next to Pumpkin, waiting quietly for more cats to approach her for help. If they didn’t she’d probably fall asleep soon too.

Sunny was pleased with the cat's question, entertained that the cat was finally seeming engaged in the game. Sunny, tilted his head to the side, as if in deep though while he studied Eaglepaw. He couldn't tell the cat that it was simply for fun. "I thought that was going to your first question." Sunny told the tom, acknowledging that it was a good question for Eaglepaw to ask. "You are the first clan cat I have gotten to talk to." Sunny answered, another half truth. Sunny has talked to many clan cats, but never in such a casual way. "I also resonate with your situation." He added, for a more personal touch. "Do you like being a clan cat?" He asked, sure that the cat would boast about how good being in a clan was. Every clan cat he has ever met as been arrogant and proud.

(interesting inclusion of bluehawk there. could potentially pull someone in who sees the open deputy spot, but if they aren't going to end up active that could pose a problem.)
Owlpaw gave a swift nod to Sageflower. He continued to work on the herbs in the den, and he felt like he was at least making a fair amount of progress on getting it to look better. He noted that Sageflower would probably have to fix it up since he had to leave a few piles of herbs that he really didn't know where top to there.

"Cause his mate is Badgerclaw." Snowfeather explained keeping her tone calm. She wanted to be angry for dragging Rosekit into her little adventure but holds herself back.

Eaglepaw was somewhat surprised he'd be the first clan cat Sunny talked to. The clan and the rogues had many standoffs before and he couldn't imagine the tabby not saying a single word to them. He snorted softly when the rogue told him he resonated with his situation. "If you do, then why don't you set me free?" The apprentice meowed nonchalantly. Of course he knew that wasn't going to happen. "I do." He answered determinedly on the last question, he wanted to elaborate but it was probably better to keep quiet.

Sunny closed his eyes for a moment before looking back to Eaglepaw. "Then I would would be betraying my friends." He told Eaglepaw with a serious tone, maintaining eye contact as he spoke. Sunny believed he could easily find a new place to live; he was a large, young tom who was fine with taking orders from the right cat- but it would be a pain if he did. Part of him wanted to believe he would be missed. "Me sympathizing with you does not change that you killed Jax. To many in this group, we are like a family; I'm sure you would want justice if one of your loved ones were to be killed." He added, his tone more formal than it had been, if he joked around like he had been, then he suspected Eaglepaw would see through his act. "As I said before, I don't know what will happen to you. Unfortunately, we do not find the clans trustworthy enough to believe your leader to take Jax's death seriously. I'm sure that they feel the same about our group." Sunny, shifted slight, uncrossing then crossing his paw as he laid more onto his side. "Do you understand?"

Sandfeather nudged Rainpaw, “go rest. You fought well,” she mewed to the apprentice and turned her back searching for Mudfoot. She caught a glimpse of him and padded over to the tom, noticing how tore up he was her heart skipped a beat. “You should probably get all of these scratches checked out by Sageflower.” She insisted to her brother, giving him a look of worry.
Mudfoot rolled his eyes at Sandfeather trying to signal to her that he was fine, but he knew she would insist. “I will, I’m sure Sageflower is busy, and besides I can wait.” He argued with the she-cat, “plus we’re going to need to bury Blazestorm and they will need my help. I’ll see Sageflower aftwards.” He reassured her, the last thing he needed was his sister worrying about his every move. Mudfoot was relieved when Sandfeather agreed and paid her respects to Blazestorm, finding her way to the warriors den.

Silverleaf looked up from her nest when she saw Sandfeather walk into the den. She gave the cat a small nod in greeting. She shifted awkwardly, feeling drowsy from the poppy seeds. He leg, now less painful, was now stiff. The silver cat rested her head on her paws, her pale eyes watching Sandfeather for a moment before shifting away. She still felt awful for her actions today. Her anger at Scorchtail and Oakpaw bothered her. She didn't remember being so angry in a long time, back when she was an apprentice maybe, if not longer.

Sandfeather dipped her head at Silverleaf, “how are you?” She asked the she-cat. It has been a long day, and they had suffered a big loss. Everyone needed a friend in a time like this. She laid in her nest and faced the other she-cat, awaiting for her for to speak. The feeling of laying her nest comforted Sandfeather into a loud purr, closing her eyes as she listened to the she-cat.

Oakstrike would roll his eyes at the kits fake tale "That sounds amazing" he said heading for the exit of the nursery. Oakstrike stepped out into the cool air, waiting for any cat that needed help.
(btw Badgerclaw is gonna have the kits when i get on tomorrow)

"No you didn't!" Rosekit mumbled mostly to herself.
"She is going to have her kits soon." Snowfeather said with a flick of her tail. She glances over at Rosekit but doesn't say anything.
Sageflower decided against using the goldenrod and instead uses cobwebs on his wounds. "If your wounds are still bleeding please come and see me later on. I have some other herbs but I want to treat everyone and see what I have left." She said hoping Scorchtail would understand. His wounds were nearly as serious.
Rainpaw nodded and walks off towards the apprentice's den to rest.

Silverleaf's ears pricked, caught off guard. Most cats left her alone due to how difficult she could be. "I'm fine." She stated, her tone as flat as it usually was, her expression was that of stone, but she had a glimmer of curiosity and anxiety that would be hard to miss. "You?" She asked, raising her head as she spoke. She quietly examined the warrior, looking for any sign of injury, as well as gauging the cat's reactions. "The clan may struggle with these losses. We have to recover quickly." She added, half a mumble as she spoke. They lost a deputy, an apprentice, countless were injured and now they were low on precious herbs. The clan would need to strategize and work hard to recover. She signed, she found it much easier to speak to a warrior opposed to anyone younger than her, the image of hopeful eyes looking up at her in admiration made her paws prickle. "I'm sorry, that seemed cold." She apologized, acknowledging that the clan still needed to mourn before it could move forward.

Sandfeather smiled when Silverleaf asked her how she was, “I’m alright. I fought beside Rainpaw- I could say I’ve done well training her.” She mewed confidently to the she-cat, who she rarely spoke to. She wasn’t the easiest warrior to speak to, but she was alike Mudfoot, so Sandfeather was used to the blunt comments. She shrugged at the warriors comment. “Don’t be sorry. We do need to recover, what if the rogues aren’t done?” Sandfeather replied as she reflected on the battle. The rogues were ruthless, the clan was lucky to not have suffered anymore loss than they already have. Not to mention- with all of the losses a deputy still had to be appointed soon.

(I would say in a couple of rp weeks. Once a deputy is named and a few other interactions are done, I plan on doing a timeskip to a couple of weeks later. The clan will be healed and planning their big attack on the rogues. We could say Patchkit became an apprentice during the timeskip or have her become an apprentice after the timeskip)

Silverleaf felt some relief when Sandfeather appeared unbothered, she nodded as the cat spoke. "Congratulations then." She response in relation Rainpaw. She relaxed a little when Sandfeather agreed with her statement. The silver cat appeared deep in thought for a moment before speaking. "Sandfeather?" She mewed, her eyes not fully meeting the larger she-cat as she spoke, her tone, though steady had a tinge of nervousness to it. "As a warrior, am I required to train an apprentice?" She asked, curious if the older cat knew. She didn't want to spend her life as a queen, she had very little interest in kits, but also little interest in apprentices. She had helped train them in the past, but to have her own, just the thought made her sick. What if she messed up again?

Sandfeather felt a bit surprised at Silverleaf’s question, “hm, I’m not sure. It’s mostly just who the leader thinks is fit for the apprentice.” She answered the she-cat, but was unsure if she gave her the answer she wanted. Having an apprentice gave Sandfeather a sense of confidence and pride, she wouldn’t know what she would do half the time if she didn’t have one. Shrugging it off she looked up to Silverleaf, “don’t worry about that, who do you think is going to be appointed deputy?” Sandfeather whispered to Silverleaf, hoping to change the subject so the warrior wasn’t worrying about things that didn’t matter at the time being.

Snowfeather quickly gets to her paws. "Hold on Badgerclaw." She looks back at her kits. "I need you both to watch over Badgerclaw while I get help." She watched as Rosekit nods her head before she quickly leaves the den. She manages to spot Oakstrike and calls out to him. "Badgerclaw's kits are coming!"
She hurries over to the medicine's cat den and enters in. "Sageflower Badgerclaw is expecting!"
Sageflower pricked her ears when Snowfeather came running in. "Suppose it was only a matter of time." She glances over at Owlpaw as she considered bringing him with her. However, a few of her clanmates still needed treatment. "Owlpaw stay here and help treat anyone who needs it! If their wounds are serious, place cobwebs until I come back!" Sageflower grabs a nearby stick and follows Snowfeather back to the nursery.
