Rules
Hi! I am Blaze & i'll be your tour guide this evening (:
I don't really want there too many rules because this is suppose to be fun and not too restrictive.
first, I want everyone to be as active as they are able to be. roleplays are only fun when there are people around to actually rp so everyone can have fun & make plots. but then again, i do understand life is life & muses dwindle. it happens to me often. i am not the greatest at staying focused on the otrp. sorry guys if i ghost you.
Second, I don't really mind how much you write. I would prefer at least 3 sentences or more so every post has substance to it. just follow the common stuff like using proper grammar and etc.
Third, just have fun! if you want to do something and you aren't sure about it, just ask me. I am pretty easy-going and will almost let you do anything you want. unless you come across with an attitude then nah.

Info
✧ only like 30 % of population is dragon riders
some people never see a dragon until they go to a university. dragons aren't often seen in rural areas unless a rider moves out there. however, it is usually rare since dragons are social creatures.
✧ society does accept dragons as a thing.
although they are some exceptions. Some people do hate dragons and their riders. Either being that old stereotypes that riders believe themselves as "gods" or dragons are "thieves"
however there are buildings in every city that suitable and safe for a dragon to live on top of, they have flat and solid roofs.
sometimes places have "stables" which are honestly large and spacey buildings, that dragons can live in if their riders don't have a big enough place for them or they can't live on the roof.
✧ teens are introduced to dragon eggs and see if they "spark"
if sparked, teens & their dragons go to a boarding school together.
at this school, they learn how to mount and ride their dragons, how to bridge communications with other riders, and traditional dragon rider stuff. Like fighting in air or pararescue.
Sometimes schools are seen as recruitment areas.
Some dragonriders go into the military while others drift into civilian lives + a large winged lizard that follows them around.

✧ dragons & their riders talk mentally
this connection is almost instant once the dragons hatch from their egg. they emerge and claim their rider while speaking their name.
✧ dragons grow & age quickly.
✧ dragons grow & age quickly.
they go from being the size of a puppy to a large tree in a span of a year. however dragons have all sorts of personalities. some are immature while others pride themselves on their manners.
✧ dragons tend to bond with other dragons
in most cases, dragons in this world are social creatures. some dragons are super social and enjoy the company of lots and lots of dragons while some are more reserve, tending to enjoy the company of two or three dragons.
in most big cities, they have weyrs; a boarding home for dragons and their riders. these places are older with modern updates. some like to speculate that most cities are actually branches of the old weyrs.

✧ dragons can be whatever color.
however most are realistic shades. no hot pinks or neon colors.
✧ pern thing: "between", dragons have the ability to teleport between time & space.
its dangerous if riders & dragons get stuck there. also its highly regulated since countries don't want foreigndragon-riders appearing in their skies.

Location
This roleplay takes place at Colombia University; where they offer both undergraduate and graduate programs. The university prides themselves on being open to all students, even dragonriders.
Their campus is near the outskirts of the city, providing the dragons with a comfortable location away from people while having large public areas on campus.
However, they do cautious dragons and their riders about scaring civilians.
Certain dorms on campus have flat roofs that make it possible for dragons to roost on. These dorms have access to the roof although the door way to locked to all but dragon-riders which have a special key-card. There are five 4-level dormitories on campus and all are co-oped.
Along with greek housing. Students are permitted to leave off campus in apartments.
✧ Rochester Hall - offices: president & academic affairs - dragon friendly
✧ Center for Science and Math (CSM) - classes and offices
✧ Ford Hall - business and tech classes and main computer labs & printers
✧ Robertson Communication Center (RCC) - comm classes, student lounge area, computer lab
✧ Columbus Center of Sports (CCS) - athletic classes, exercise gym, basketball court, a few offices - the playing fields are nearby this building. tennis, soccer, football field, baseball/softball.
Am struggling, suggest halls & centers for classes. or any landmarks for this university.
