Hey guys! New member here but longtime lover of the warriors world.
I had an idea for a clan that I’ve been writing a fan fiction type thing for on AO3 where rabies hits the clan and wipes out some of the population (lots of possibility for character Development through loss and grief here.)
My question is what could I call rabies that sounds more clan cat like? I feel like something like “the sickness” is just too vague. I have a friend on discord that refers to it as “the craze” and I love that idea but don’t want to steal it/want to use something original.
Help? Ideas?

Rabies comes from the Latin for anger, so you could say madness, fury, etc.
Going off of their color conventions for diseases, whitemouth might also work.

In my FanFiction I had the cats call rabies Frothcough because you froth at the mouth when you contract rabies. I don’t really like it looking back but it could work

I made a rabies based illness called foamcough. It's not very pretty but I hope I did alright with the cure for it.

While I was working on a sort of fan made Medicine Cat guidebook (Because when you think about it, why have we never gotten one?) I classified Rabies as "Cloudmouth", based off the foaming of the mouth thing that it's famous for, and listed a whole bunch of symptoms with it from researching actual rabies in animals. No cure either, seeing as there is none for those that get it and show signs.

How about the loco cat illness because the cat or animal goes crazy because it can not drink water or eat. This is a very scary illness which I came in contact with because of a skunk and I had to have the shots. Loco means crazy or frenzied. It is Mexican Spanish. Good luck with your story.
