Uhhh not sure how to put it into a few words for the title, but I was wondering if anyone would want to make a RP where Starclan ends up as the main antagonist. I'm not in Fan Clans that often, and I haven't read the books since Firestar died, so I apologize if this has already been done to death. But I do think it could be a potentially fun RP.I was thinking it could be a case of 'god needs a group of people respecting and believing in them to give them power'. Starclan could have a large plan in play which could be good for them, but ends up in some sort of ruin for the clan. Perhaps a plan so as they don't need the belief of living clans to continue to gain power or something? Sorry for the really vague ideas lolIt could be less realistic, as realistic as warriors can get haha, and there could be spiritual cats roaming the living earth and causing problems. As well as cats getting possessed and causing drama within the clan(s). I really do just like the idea of taking the original Warriors formula and making it just a bit more spooky and maybe a little bit less god following. Especially since the rules for Starclan have always been messy and don't make a lot of sense. Concerning the Dark Forest, we could either get rid of it completely, or switch it so cats who don't believe in the corrupt ideals of this Starclan have been sent there.Like I said, I don't have many solid ideas, and would love it if anyone else would like to brainstorm with me :3What We Have So FarStarclan has become corrupt. A cat within their ranks has slowly started to take control and abuse the powers they are given. Cats who go against this ruler have been banished to the Dark Forest, a place that has been empty for many moons thanks to the peace within the clan. Starclan is looking to obtain power, and to do so they require loyalty and belief from the clan cats who are still alive. As the crooked Starclan cats grow stronger, their ability to manifest and affect the physical world strengthen as well.
The Dark Forest cats are stuck in a place they don't belong with knowledge they are unable to pass down to the living. They must figure out a way to speak with the clan cats in ways that are long lost to time. They have to do this while under the watchful eye of a corrupt leadership within Starclan. I imagine that the Dark Forest training wouldn't have happened, or wouldn't have happened for a long time so they don't know how to contact living cats from the DF. If that makes any sense?
The clan cats don't have any idea what is going on. The only cats originally aware of the sudden shift within Starclan are the leader of the clan and their medicine cat. Their medicine cat has turned to the side of Starclan and is encouraging their empowerment while their leader has been threatened with the stripping of their nine lives. A loner has recently joined their clan and is spouting grand ideals and despite not being a clan cat is very knowledgeable about Starclan.
People will be able to RP cats within all three categories, though the Starclan cats and Dark Forest cats won't be nearly as used as much as the clan cats. Within the clan there are three different cats. Cats who support Starclan, cats who realize that something is wrong and are against it, and cats who either don't know what's going on/cats who haven't chosen a side.

That would be good! I could totally see the meddie cat and Leader being apart of the plan, but end up getting taken out by Starclan in the end when they're no longer useful. It would give the meddie apprentice and deputy a chance to play a bigger part in the plot ^^
What are your opinions on the Dark Forest becoming a place where Starclan cats who are actually good go to? I don't think there would be many, but at the same time I don't think it would make sense to make the entirety of Starclan evil.

Maybe with leaders, StarClan threatens to revoke their lives somehow if they don't help StarClan with whatever they plan? And maybe somehow threaten medicine cats too?

Ooo I hadn't considered them threatening the cats :0 I could totally see one of them being loyal to Starclan, and the other being threatened. Do you have an opinion on the Dark Forest idea I mentioned before?

I think that makes sense. There's no way every StarClan cat could be evil, but a lot would go through with it either for self benefit or because they were taught from a young age that StarClan is good

Yeah! Good point. I'm considering whether or not we should have the option to RP Starclan cats that are either in the evil sect, or have been banished to the Dark Forest for not following the plan. Do you think that would make the RP too scattered? It might be fun to have them figure out the details of plans, and attempt to get the details to the clan cats.

Hmmm that's the problem that came to mind. I almost don't want to do possession plots cause it would make RPing difficult. Originally I was thinking something more along the lines of ghosts. Like, the dead cats could interact with the living cats as ghosts, which could also be dangerous if the Starclan cats wanted someone dead. But then I thought that it might be too supernatural lol
Maybe the Dark Forest cats would need to figure out a way to bring cats into it like they did in the books?

That sounds a bit easier to do. If the ghosts could be invisible to most cats, they could give fake omens and stuff maybe?

Ooo that could be interesting. Maybe the ghosts cold start out as, well, ghosts. They can't do much more than watch the clan cats and report back. But perhaps as Starclan grows stronger they start giving out fake omens and eventually grow strong enough to where they can actually physically interact with living cats?

That sounds really interesting! And they could play the "We're StarClan, the noble ancestors" and before any cats realized StarClan was corrupt, most of them would do anything to help StarClan

YEAH! I wanted to base the rp around the idea of a corrupt religious system, and I think this would play into it nicely. It really will end up being pretty supernatural, but hopefully people will still be interested ^^ Imma take a minute to type up the details we have made so far. But as I slowly get to doing that. We can maybe start working on the living clan?
Do you think it would be better to keep it to a one clan RP? Or maybe two clan RP? I've noticed that four+ clan rps don't seem to last long. So i'd probably limit it to two at the most.
Also, might have to poof in a bit, but I'll try to reply when I can ^^

It's much easier for a one Clan RP, I personally would say to keep if at one unkess there's a good plot reason to add another.

Sounds good to me. The only reason I could think to add one would be one clan supporting Starclan more than the other, but in a big enough clan I think we can have those to factions covered.
As for the clan itself. I'd like for it to have a pretty open territory. Not just limited to a desert area or a forest area, etc. Maybe it could be a mountainous clan so it covers more biomes?

I really like the idea of the Dark Forest being the 'good' StarClan cats! It would also be super easy for them to justify in a "Mother knows best" kind of way, like StarClan claims that the Dark Forest cats are bad for not listening to them but won't exactly elaborate how.
And maybe StarClan cats could possess living cats when they have a prophecy to deliver, so that no one could choose to keep it to themselves? That way they'd be able to manipulate the clan into being afraid/obeying by giving potentially false prophecies.
Also, could I possibly grab the medicine cat apprentice position? I've been thinking about a character and I think he would work really well here.

Oooo possession only for the sake of giving false prophecies would be fun! It's also different from the dreams they usually get, so it could further reflect that this Starclan is a false god of sorts :0
Ok, as for positions that would need to be filled. I'm thinking: Starclan leader, main antagonist and mastermind of the plot. I'd probably snatch this one just for simplicities sake They probably won't play a huge part in the main rp until the end. Clan Leader. Deputy. Meddie cat. And meddie apprentice.
Feel free to claim as you want. But I think we should decide what stance each of them will take. I personally was thinking the medicine cat would be hella crooked and happy to help, the leader would probably be being threatened, the deputy wouldn't know the details, but is probably on the 'good' side. And same thing with the meddie apprentice. However things are totally open for change depending on what you guys think!!!

Of course! Do remember that anyone claiming these positions should be relatively pretty active. Though, it's a busy time of year so I'm not expecting y'all to force yourselves ^^
