Was there really a need for the Erins to create a second cat named Tigerstar?
Shouldn't they have given him a different name?

I think it's really cool that they made another cat called Tigerstar but made him a good intentioned cat (though I liked it more when he wasn't as pure as he is in TBC). There obviously wasn't a need for it but it has some cool outcomes, like cats flinching at his name.
Do you think they'll make another Nightstar soon (with most of TNP cast about to be thrown away after the immense spotlight they're getting now, I highly doubt we're getting Crowstar (though Harestar still got most of his lives left probably))?

Nightstar wasn't an extremely significant character. He was basically just created (and not given his nine live) to create a bridge between Brokenstar and Tigerstar.

I think it was to show how the Clans might react if there was another Tigerstar, bearing his name and even being kin of Tigerstar I, and how that cat might turn out.

I don't really mind it considering my brain blanks out -star and replaces it with -heart automatically.
Bramblestar has had his name since 2012 and I still see "Brambleclaw" whenever I see his name.

I can understand why some people would be annoyed by it, but the name Tigerstar already sounds cool asl. So to have a good Tigerstar and a bad Tigerstar was interesting. Shoot, this Tigerstar might've been what TPB Tigerstar could've been with the proper guidance.

I always wondered about this, if a clan leader elects a deputy right after getting their 9 lives, won't the deputy (most likely) die before the leader loses all his lives? Even squirrelflight mentioned it and realized it was a possibility in her SE.

Honestly, people should call him tigerstar clone order number 5 or something or just say his name backwards
"Yes, Ratsregit. I have caught prey today."

It doesn't annoy me as much as it used to. But there will always be one Tigerstar in my mind. I always prefer to call Tiger2 Tigerheart, unless I'm speaking absolutely in the context of TBC where it won't be as confusing.
