Dragons are great! Me please! (This may or may not turn into Flight Rising lore...) The Ethiopian Dream Dragon
![](http://img14.deviantart.net/97b5/i/2007/355/0/6/ethiopian_dream_has_four_wings_by_rhahsid.jpg) The Ethiopian Dream is a neo-dragon from Ethiopian mythology. It uniquely possessed four wings and two hind feet and sharp talons. It didn't have the ability to breathe fire, but it did eat the most poisonous plants to make their bite and their talons far more fatal. They were large enough—and strong enough—to take off with full-grown elephants, which is an ability only few dragons can muster in most mythology. Interestingly enough, they were also highly intelligent, for in one folktale, four Ethiopian Dream Dragons wove a raft to sail over to a territory with better hunting grounds.

Isa Bere
![](http://65.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lwg6e3PtJC1r3iylco1_500.jpg) Isa Bere was a dragon in African mythology that was well-known for causing a drought by drinking the Niger River dry. A king (referred to as King Samba), and his bard (Tarafe) battled Isa Bere for eight years in hopes of claiming the mountains that the dragon inhabited. They finally killed the dragon with an arrow to the heart. Near-death, Isa Bere released the water from his body, returning it freshly to the Niger River and relieving the drought. The bones of the mythological dragon are said to be buried under the Niger River.
