As I mentioned in your “ranks” thread, this thread answers a lot of common questions. One of those is your current question.

You can use sites like imgur, tinypic, & photobucket if you want to upload an image of your own that you've created. If the image was already on the internet, you can always link it as well by using image tags. Make sure that the image's URL ends .jpg, .jpeg, .png, etc. Another option is to insert the image through the forums, using the Insert Image or Add Attachment.

If you’re still unsure: go to www.imgur.com/upload then upload your picture from your File Explorer. It will give you the option to give share links. Make sure it’s in BBCode, and that it follows this format:

[img]yourpictureslinkhere.png[/img]

As mentioned above it may be a .jpg, .jpeg, or .png.
