I got into Warriors just last December. I had heard about the series yeeears before, often saw the books in shops, but somehow I wasn't drawn enough to actually buy them.
The Ginga series community was what convinced me to try. This series is far from what it used to, and I needed something to scratch that itch for slightly better animal fiction.
Eventually I bought Into the Wild in Summer 2019. The Sunnyrocks battle put me off for some reason. I guess it gave too much of a cliché vibe. Fast forward six months, and the magic finally worked. I must say the first half of ITW is still hard to read for me. The rest of TPB is a favourite.
I've now caught up with the main series and most of the SEs. I haven't read Dawn of the Clans yet.
I got the reprinted covers in French, since the printing quality is VASTLY superior to what HC is currently producing, and I liked picking the books up at my local library. Our reprints areyet to reach Oots so I read post-POT arcs in English. And the SEs too, as France got them in paperback only and I wanted hardcovers for them.
I must say the name translations are too basic though. Like Fernsong is literally called Fernpelt in France... Lionblaze is f**king Lionpelt. Perhaps I'll post a thread about other examples.
