//Summary// Long ago, a story started to pass through the clan, of a stone that glowed in the middle of a pool of water. It sat in a cave, far far away at the edge of the earth, where the largest body of water flowed. The very stone could turn back time, and erase the worst of events. No one has ever tried to find the stone, assuming it was all a fun rumor. Until the day of destruction came for Blazeclan. A terrible storm fell upon the clan as they rested. Lightning stuck the trees that surrounded their home, setting the trees ablaze. One after another, the trees they once depended on, fell amongst the clan and their camp. The once safe and secure hollow, soon became the very trap that would destroy them. Two warriors and Two apprentices manage to escape the deadly flames, distraught at the loss of their clanmates and family. Amongst the remains of Blazeclan is a Senior warrior, who is reminded of the rumors of the stone that turns back time. The small group of survivors sets out on a journey to find the stone that could turn back time to before the storm, so they can save their clan. Along the way, they will face many trials and meet many friends...And Enemies.---//The Clan//[Leader:] Blizzardstar- //57 Moons//Molly// A small yet sturdy long-furred pure white molly with deep blue eyes. Has a square face and small rounded ears. An intimidating molly to most. Very strong-willed and loyal to her clan. She is a quiet leader that is always watchful. Will take advice from any cat who has an opinion. Keeps a sternness to her, to keep her clan in order. Has a soft spot for her senior warriors and Elders. Respects her Medicine cats, no matter what their age is. [Lives Left-★★★][Frost]
[Deputy:] Ashwing - //44 Moons//Molly// Pale gray she-cat with amber eyes. She has a long scar down her left cheek. Ashwing is a kind and empathetic she-cat with a strong belief in Starclan. She is an outspoken cat, with a natural stride for leadership. She is a good listener, and many cats in the Clan often come to her for advice. [Sky]
[Medicine Cat:] Snailwhisker - //36 Moons//Tom// Large long-furred black and white tom with green eyes. Snailwhisker is still a young medicine cat, but has a strong connection to StarClan. Although he is often skeptical of potential signs and a bit resistant to change, he's a loyal cat who cares deeply for his Clanmates. [Sky]
[Medicine Cat Apprentice:] Puddlepaw- //10 Moons//Tom// An unusually small silver, white and black tabby spotted tom. Has ice-blue eyes. Puddlepaw is wise for his age, learning things as a medicine cat as soon as he was big enough to walk. He spent most of his kit hood in the medicine cats den, trying to help. As an apprentice, he works hard and puts all his faith in Starclan and his duty to his clan. He is a gentle cat with a determination to try to save every cat. [Survivor][Frost]
[Warriors:] Icetuft- //57 Moons//Molly// Tiny slender molly with sleek and long black and white fur. She has white splashes along her flank and tail. Her eyes are a bluish/grey mixture. She bears a large scar along her back. Known for her pleasant voice and earthy smell. Icetuft is much like her sister in the aspect of being quiet and watchful. Though she tends to be softer when it comes to her clanmates. She is often calm and clear-headed and is willing to give advice to anyone that asks for it. [Frost]
Barktail- //53 Moons//Tom// Massive solid dark brown with green eyes and a bushy pelt. At first glance, this huge tom resembles a small horse than a cat, with shaggy brown fur and a sloping back. Despite his imposing size, however, Barktail is a gentle and quiet cat with only kind things to say about others. He's a diplomat and strongly dislikes hurting others, doing so only when he truly needs to defend himself or his Clanmates. He's also a bit philosophical, and can often get a bit long-winded in conversations. [Sky]
Patchhollow- //50 Moons//Tom// An unusually small, but muscular white tom with fawn patches. He has soft and welcoming lime green eyes. Has a scar along his chest and stomach. Patchhollow is a gentle tom. He is a light-hearted cat, always trying to lift everyone's spirits. He is known to joke around, especially for the amusement of the kits and apprentices. [Frost]
Eagleheart- //45 Moons//Tom// Muscular black-and-white tabby tom with blue eyes. One of the youngest of the senior warriors, Eagleheart is a confident and self-assured cat, with hunting and fighting skills carefully built up from years of training and experience. A fiercely loyal cat, he greatly admires Blizzardstar's leadership. Though he can often get annoyed when cats are being purposely difficult, he tries his best to do right by his Clanmates and get them through difficult situations. [Survivor][Sky]
Waspstem- //45 Moons//Tom// A long-legged fawn furred tom with a white underbelly. He has large yellow eyes, and a long scar going through his right eye. Waspstem is known for his speed. He is a fantastic hunter in his clan. He is often short-tempered and has no patience for the younger cats of the clan. He is known not to take orders well, unless from his Leader or Deputy. [Frost]
Rabbithop- //38 Moons//Tom// Greyish-white tom with black paws and large ears, and amber eyes. Rabbithop is a skittish and nervous tom who is quite jumpy and easily startled. Much of this stems from his apprentice days, where his mentor had constantly pushed him into paranoia and stress-filled 'training' sessions. Rabbithop is slowly overcoming this trauma, but still has frequent nightmares from this time. [Sky]
Birdwhisper- //38 Moons//Molly// A large silver tabby molly with hazel eyes. Her fur is short besides her tail, which is bushy and long. Birdwhisper is known for her love for the younger members of the clan. Willing to help out with the kits and apprentices of the clan. She is outspoken and loyal to her clan. She hates violence more than most warriors. [Frost]
Ryecloud- //30 Moons//Molly// Dappled golden-and-white she-cat with green eyes. She has small paws and a white blotch on her forehead. Ryecloud is a spirited and strong-willed young she-cat with an adventurous streak. She's more than willing to take a risk for her Clan if it means helping out a Clanmate. She's one of the best hunters in the Clan and a skilled tracker as a result. [Sky]
Sorrelflame- //30 Moons//Tom// A massive muscular tom with Golden and cream tabby spotted fur. He has a light green eyes with a scar along one shoulder and a shredded left ear. A loyal tom with a respectful nature. He loves to help his clanmates. Always the first to assist another or offer to join patrols. Will follow orders without question. [Frost]
Darkstream- //25 Moons//Molly// Sleek small jet black she-cat with a long tail and ice-blue eyes. Darkstream is a quiet and calculating cat, preferring to stay out of the center of attention and observe her Clanmates from afar. Reserved and taciturn, much of her true interests and motivations remain a mystery. Despite this, she is surprisingly fond of kits. [Sky]
Moonseeker- //18 Moons//Molly// A long-furred white molly with grey and silver tinges throughout her body. Has black edges ears and muzzle and the most beautiful violet eyes. Moonflower is a shy, cautious cat. She is gentle souled. She would do anything to help her clanmates. She is light on her feet and is one of the best trackers in the clan. [Survivor][Frost]
Shellflame- //14 Moons//Tom// Handsome grayish-blue tabby tom with flame-orange eyes. The Clan's newest warrior, Shellflame is an apprentice's recklessness and a warrior's newfound confidence hurtling towards a collision at breakneck speeds. The tom is flighty, prideful, and overconfident, and more than a little flirty. However, this stems from his capable skills, and despite his arrogance, the tom is a genuinely strong warrior who does care about his clanmates. [Sky]
[Apprentices:] Dawnpaw- //14 Moons//Molly// Pretty tortoiseshell-and-ginger she-cat with a dappled pelt and green eyes. She has a large scar on the bottom of her right paw pad. One of the oldest apprentices, Dawnpaw's warrior training was delayed due to an accident as a kit that left a long and deep scar on the bottom of her paw. When it became infected, she spent several painful moons in the medicine den while her brother Shellflame went on to become an apprentice. Despite this setback, Dawnpaw is tenacious and hard-working, and is on the cusp of becoming a warrior herself. The feisty young she-cat refuses to let this setback prevent her from becoming a warrior every cat recognizes. Although her wound has fully healed, it left a jagged scar on the bottom of her paw pad. [Survivor][Sky]
Volepaw- //10 Moons//Tom// Tan and white tom with amber eyes and a short fluffy tail. Volepaw is a hyper, energetic, and optimistic tom. Upbeat even at the worst of times, his good-nature and witty humor usually provides a source of lightheartedness for other cats. He's popular with other apprentices and does his best to make sure new apprentices feel at home. [Sky]
Perchpaw- //8 Moons//Tom// A large slender tom with grey, almost black fur. His fur is long and fluffy and he has baby blue eyes. Perchpaw is known for his attitude. He can be rude and snappy. But he is an excellent hunter and fighter. He may act like he dislikes everyone, but he would do anything to protect his clan. [Frost]
Scratchpaw- //8 Moons//Tom// Small smoky gray-and white-striped tom with amber eyes and a long tail. Scratchpaw is a grumpy, irritable, and a bit pompous young cat. He is often cranky, and has a bit of a short temper. Despite this, he genuinely cares about his family, and can quickly flare up if anyone insults or otherwise demeans them. [Sky]
Bravepaw- //8 Moons//Molly// A fawn and grey tabby spotted molly with light green eyes. Bravepaw can be a tad sassy with a little bit of an attitude like her brother. She is a quick learner and swift on her feet. She is known for her sweetness, especially when she wants something. Always willing to help the elders, as she loves spending time with them the most. [Frost]
Hornetpaw- //6 Moons//Molly// Golden-and-black striped she-cat with amber eyes. Hornetpaw is an outgoing and fiery young cat, who doesn't do well with being told what to do. She has a streak for travel and adventure, and strongly dislikes mundane tasks, of which there are many for a new apprentice. Nevertheless, she does her best to sneak out and explore at her own leisure whenever possible. [Sky]
Sunpaw- //6 Moons//Molly// A large red tinged Somali molly with a black streak going down her back and tail. She has flaming orange eyes. Sunpaw is a timid and quiet molly. She tends to keep to herself and her duties. Not quick to make friends with anyone else. She is loyal to her clan but focuses solely on her tasks. [Frost]
[Queens:] Morningstike- //44 Moons//Molly// A tall, feathery furred black appaloosa molly with stormy grey eyes. Both ears are shredded at the tip. She has the longest tail amongst her clan. Partially blind. Morningstrike is very protective of her clan, and even more of her kits. She is a strong-willed molly with a lot of fight in her. She is one to stand her ground when someone challenges her and is the first to speak when it comes to sharing opinions or questioning others. She has a sternness to her, but means everything out of love. [Kits:Blossomkit & Splashkit][Mate:Eagleheart][Frost]
Brightfall- //18 Moons//Molly// Pale ginger and cream furred she-cat with a white tail tip and paws, and blue eyes. Brightfall is a logical and pragmatic young she-cat. She's well aware of the limits of herself and others and dislikes overzealous idealism, especially when it seems unrealistic. She's surprisingly empathetic, and cares deeply for her family, and has a close bond with littermates. [Kits:Fawnkit & Rimekit ][Mate:Sorrelflame][Sky]
[Kits:] Blossomkit- //4 Moons//Molly// Long furred black molly with specks of white dappling her flank. Her face is pure black. She has dark blue eyes. Blossomkit is a feisty little molly, full of curiosity and adventure. She dreams of becoming a warrior and one day a leader to her clan. [Parents-Morningstrike & Eagleheart][Sky]
Splashkit- //4 Moons//Tom// A muscular white tom with a black mask over his face. He has one stormy grey eye and one blue eye. Splashkit is the opposite of his sister. He is shy and quiet, and tends to keep to himself. He admires his father with every part of him, and strives to be a strong and loyal warrior like him. [Parents-Morningstrike & Eagleheart][Frost]
Fawnkit- //0-6 Moons//Molly// Pale ginger and golden spotted tabby with one green and one blue eye. Very shy and quite molly. Very curious about herbs and the world. A lot like her aunt, Moonseeker. [Parents-Brightfall & Sorrelflame][Survivor][Frost]
Rimekit-
//0-6 Moons//Tom//
White and cream tom tom with a ginger face and muzzle, and intense green eyes. Resembles his mother incredibly closely.
A solemn and well-meaning young cat with a hunger for knowledge and a spirited will. [Parents-Brightfall & Sorrelflame][Survivor][Sky]
[Elders:] Foxhowl- //130 Moons//Tom// Very elderly small ginger tom with cloudy green eyes. His pelt is faded with age and much of it has gone white. The oldest cat in the Clan, there is little remnant of the magnificent warrior Foxhowl once was. The majority of his thinning fur has gone gray, and he has lost most of his senses - the majority of his sight and hearing is gone, and he has lost his sense of smell entirely. He moves very little due to his frail body, spending most time in his nest in the Elder's den. It's difficult to get him to speak, but when he does, vestiges of the brave warrior can still be seen. He's exceedingly kind despite the limitations of his age, and is well respected by his younger Clanmates, and the many kin he's fathered over the years. [Sky]
Smokewatcher- //100 Moons//Tom// A Large fawn furred tom with black tinged on the edges of his fur. He has ragged fur, that always seems messed up, and golden eyes. His left eye is blind, with scars tearing through the left side of his face. Both his ears have been shredded to his scalp. He is hard of hearing, can barely see out of his good eye, and his muzzle is tinged white with age. Smokewatcher loves the apprentices of his clan. Always willing to speak stories of the clan. He is one of the kindest souls and wisest cats of the clan. [Frost]
Silentstrike- //90 Moons//Molly// A heavyset molly with pale ginger fur and white paws. She has large turquoise eyes. Her fur is long and shaggy and she has a stump for a tail. Silentstrike is a bit grumpy. Her bark is much worse than her bite. She has a softness to anyone that will feed her and groom out her fur. She has horrible arthritis in her hips, which leaves her to rarely leave her nest. Grumbles about how warriors nowadays are lazy. [Frost]
Sleetstep- //57 Moons//Molly// A fluffy white she-cat with black streaks along her fur, and a smoky black muzzle and paws, and amber eyes. She is missing her entire left front leg. Though still a warrior-aged cat, Sleetstep was forced to retire to the Elders Den after a falling tree trapped and crushed her left leg, forcing it to be cut free to save her. She survived the accident, but was unable to continue as a warrior with only three limbs. Since moving to the Elders Den, she has retained much of her wry humor and wit, and can now move around on three legs relatively easily. She makes sure no cat forgets that she's still young, and still participates extensively in Clan life in and around the Camp. [Sky]
[Outsiders:] Vixen- //50 Moons//Molly// A long-legged slender bright orange molly with smoky grey paws, muzzle and ear tips. She has piercing green eyes. Vixen is a sharp and wise molly, that has spent most of her life on her own. She has always lived near Blazeclan and been a friend to the clan cats. She is skeptical of cats she doesn't know. Unwilling to trust another right away. [Frost]
Pumpkin- //50 Moons//Molly//
Orange and black tortoiseshell molly with creamy white flecks in her mane. Has long fur and whiskers and black tipped ears. Has yellow eyes. Pumpkin can be a bit timid towards strangers, but once she gets to know them, she becomes protective and defensive. A very motherly cat, often becomes a mother figure to cats that are even older than her.
[Mate-Lion][Kits:Patch & Flame][Frost]
Lion-
//48 Moons//Tom//
Large golden and white tabby tom with deep ice-blue eyes. He has a bushy tail and dark coffee-brown muzzle and underbelly.
A gallant and courteous tom, Lion has been aware of BlazeClan for a long time, though he has only interacted with them sparsely, save for a certain cat. He is benevolent and compassionate, but is protective of his family and holds their safety as his top priority. Though he has a new mate and family, he still holds deep and intimate feelings for a Clan warrior he had met many moons ago. [Mate-Pumpkin][Kits:Patch & Flame][Sky][Previous Mate-Birdwhisper][Kits-Volepaw & Puddlepaw] Patch- //1 Moon//Tom// Patchy orange, black and white tom with long fur. He has orange eyes with hints of green in them. Patch is a curious and adventurous tom. He doesn't seem to be afraid of anything, always getting into mischief and getting under everyone's paws. He tries his best to be the bravest and toughest cat, even at a young age. [Parents-Lion & Pumpkin][Frost]
Flame-
//1 Moon//Molly//
Tortoiseshell and golden long-furred she-cat with with a cream muzzle and black tail-tip. Has pale robin egg blue eyes.
As fiery as her name, she longs the freedom to explore and is already bored with the safety of the barn. She has a fear of dogs after one barked at her during one of her misadventures, even though a fence separated them. [Parents-Lion & Pumpkin][Sky]

»𝕄𝕠𝕠𝕟𝕤𝕖𝕖𝕜𝕖𝕣♦𝕎𝕚𝕥𝕙:Alone. ♦𝕎𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖:In the forest.↦↦✿↤↤ Thunder rumbled in the night sky as dark clouds rolled over the moon and stars, turning the moonlit clearing almost black. The river raced as the wind picked up, causing the leaves to rustle angrily. A flash of light struck the sky, revealing a white molly with silver/gray flecks. The black that was printed on her ears and muzzle, was barely catchable in the small flash of light. Violet eyes flashed, as she searched for some form of shelter as rain started to patter aggressively against the earth.
Flattening her ears, she found cover beneath a rocky overhang, near the waters edge. The molly sat, shaking like the leaves in the stormy weather. Her ears were completely flat against her head, as the storm took over the land. Her long fur was plastered to her body, dripping into the ground around her. Thoughts wondered back to her clanmates, who had all been sleeping, besides Icetuft. The Senior Warrior had been sitting watch when the young warrior had wondered away from camp, neither expecting a storm to break out. Unease washes over the white and silver/gray molly as she listened to the screaming of the wind and rain. Practically jumping out of her fur as thunder cracked in the sky, followed by a ball of light.
“Of course you would get stuck out in the middle of a thunderstorm, Moonseeker.” She mumbled to herself before giving her wet fur, rapid licks. Hoping that the rain would ease up soon, so she could hurry home. Another smack of thunder cracked in the air, causing the molly to flatter herself, violet eyes wide with terror. Her gaze caught the strike of lightning, as it split a tree, right where the camp hollow with be. Fear filled her entire body as she stared in shock, watching the tree burst into flames. Mouth gaping, she seemed frozen in place, as the watched the fire Consume the once great tree, before a eerie snap echoed in the air, and the massive tree top split from the trunk and feel directly into the spot where her home was. Breaking out of her shocked state, the young warrior started to bolt towards the camp, her heart racing and her tail streaming behind her. “Starclan no..Save my clan. Save my family. Please let them get out.”
(So I wrote this one out as Moonseeker seeing the beginning of the fire. I just wanted to RP that. I know you can't respond to her yet. But I wanted to show her point of view in this, before we RP the fire.) -------
»ℙ𝕦𝕕𝕕𝕝𝕖𝕡𝕒𝕨♦𝕎𝕚𝕥𝕙:Everyone. ♦𝕎𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖:In Camp. [~Skyblaze~]
↦↦✿↤↤ Screeches and cries of terror and pain filled the small black, white and silver tom's ears as his lungs burned from the thick cloud of smoke that had filled the clearing. Blinking back tears as a burning sensation filled his eyes and heat hit him like a wave, the little apprentice coughed, stumbling from his place in the medicine cats den. Blue eyes were rolling with terror as he was met by a blazing orange light. A tree was on fire, blocking the entrance to the Apprentices and Elders Den. He could hear the desperate cries of the apprentices, trapped and suffocating as they were met by smoke and flames. He heard no noise or movement from the Elders Den, taking a guess that the elderly cats of the clan had already succumb to the horrible death of fire. The medicine cat apprentice felt a rack of coughing rattle his body, as he heard the calls of the apprentices mentors and parents, begging for them to escape.
A crack split the air as another tree came crashing towards the cats in the clearing, orange flames consumed the tree. Opening his mouth to let out a warning cry, the tom watched in horror as the tree crushed the warriors that had been scrambling to find the apprentices a way out, the top of the tree, buried the warriors den and the nursery, blocking any escape for the cats inside. The cries of the queens as they realized their kits, as well as their own selves where about to die, met his ears. Tiny meowls of fear filled the air as Morningstrike's kits were met by smoke and heat. Angry outbursts of the all too familiar voices of the trapped warriors that were trying to escape, almost drowned out the sounds of the raging wind and fire. Lowering himself to the ground, the little apprentice gasped for air, ears flat and eyes silently begging for help from his ancestors. He closed his eyes tightly as a screech of pain and horror filled his head of his clanmates dying slowly around him. A loud crack split the air as one more tree started crashing down into the hollow, straight for him.
Gasping awake, Puddlepaw scramble to his paws with terror in his blue eyes. His fur stood on end and he whipped his head back and forth, head clouded with the remains of his dream. Trembling with fear and horror, the little apprentice let out a small cry. He hardly had time to calm himself down when a crack of thunder echoed in the sky, causing him to jump. Ears flattened against his head as a white flash lit up the camp clearing and rain started to pound against the earth. Taking a few shaky steps forwards so that he was right at the entrance to the medicine cats den, Puddlepaw listened to the whistling of the wind. His blue gaze stared at the black sky, ears twitching uncomfortably at the sound of the leaves rustling angrily in the storm. A dark cloud covered Puddlepaw's thoughts as the little tabby tom went back into his dream. He had a horrible feeling that his dream wasn't just a dream. He slipped back into the den and padded up to the black and white furred shape of his mentor, Snailwhisker. Poking his mentor, he let out a pleading meow with a quivering voice. "Sna..Snailwhisker..I..I had a horrible dream..There was a storm. There was fire..Ou..Our clanmates..We..We all d..Died." Trembling with anxiety, the apprentice took in a shuddering breath. "It's storming, just like in my dream.."
(So I thought it'd be fun to rp Puddlepaw having a dream, and then waking up to realize it's storming. And then him waking up his mentor and discussing it with him, before they go to Blizzardstar and inform her of the dream, but before anyone can give any warning, the first tree falls and blocks the elders den and apprentices den. I figured that Dawnpaw could have been restless and was walking away from the apprentices den, barely getting missed by the blazing tree.? Which her restlessness in turn, saved her from dying in the apprentices den..?) -------
Blizzardstar lay with her paws tucked under her chest as she rested at the entrance of her den. Her deep blue eyes were watching her sister, Icetuft, as she sat watch in the camp clearing. Her sisters black pelt hid her, the only thing giving her away was the white splotches and a flash of her blue/grey eyes in the moonlite. The wind was starting to pick up and cause the leaves to become unsettled and loud amongst the trees that surrounded the top of the camp hollow. The pure white molly let out a soft sigh, as a breeze hit her face. The leaders den sat in a hole near the top of the rocky hollow where the clan had made their home. She recieved the den near the top of the stone hollow to better keep watch over her clan in their dens at the bottom of the rocky slopes. Each den was a hole in the rock walls that made the stone hollow. The only safe entrance was through a very tight thorny entrance. It made her feel safe and content, that the clan was so safe and happy below. She couldn't help but feel like she had been doing well as a leader of Blazeclan. She'd been in this position for many seasons now. Becoming leader as a younger warrior. Now she had three lives left, and though she planned to serve her clan for many more seasons, she couldn't help but feel like she was nearing the end of her time with her clan. Thinking about her deputy, Ashwing, a purr rumbled in her throat. She knew the grey molly would make an amazing replacement for the clan. She had chose a wonderful deputy to guide the clan with her. As thunder cracked in the sky, the white molly felt her fur start to prickle. She could feel the storm as it was about to unleash itself upon Blazeclan's territory.
(If you want to rp a few interactions before the fire happens, we can rp a couple of apprentices, warriors, and elders and maybe our queens together in the dens, before the fire traps our elders and apprentices.? Just giving you the option to post some starters for some our your clan cats, and ill interact mine with yours. :3 And then maybe after a few posts, we can rp the fire and our survivors escaping.)

(Sounds good! I'll get some of my cats out there and you can pick whoever you'd like! I also set up a couple further nuances like some crushes in my replies, if you have an issue with anything, let me know! ^^ I didn't do every single cat for the reply, as that would simply be too much lol)
Snailwhisker - Medicine Cat - Medicine Den - w/ Puddlepaw Snailwhisker's wavy fur twitched at the initial poke, and it was only when Puddlepaw's plaintive mew broke the silence of the medicine den that the older tom stirred, slowly lifting his head. His green eyes were initially annoyed at being awoken at such an hour, but his gaze quickly softened when Puddlepaw began to speak. It was clear that the apprentice was badly scared. The BlazeClan medicine cat rested his tail on the apprentice's shoulder comfortingly as he listened patiently as he described the horrific dream.
"Did any StarClan cats appear to you during this dream?" He finally asked. The tom's emerald gaze was neutral, and he didn't appear too worried. He had learned over the moons that sometimes, a bad dream was just that - a bad dream - and he didn't want to disturb Blizzardstar until he was sure this meant something. At the same time, he wasn't dismissive, either. He always knew that Puddlepaw had a vivid connection to StarClan in the world of dreams.
---------
Ashwing - Deputy - Warrior's Den - w/ Waspstem The sudden crash of thunder jolted Ashwing awake, her fur bristling. At first she simply grumbled and kept her eyes closed, trying to return to her slumber. Then, lightning flashed, so close to the camp that she could see the light through her eyelids. Her eyes flitted open and she peered up at the sky through the small gaps in the top of the warrior's den, and was just barely able to catch a glimpse. It was jet black, a deep and hostile hue even for the middle of the night, and the clouds seemed to carry a heavy weight. "Can't StarClan let a cat sleep in peace for a night?" She complained wryly under her breath, but the she-cat's amber eyes were worried as she looked over at the tan tom who was curled up close beside her.
---------
Eagleheart - Senior Warrior - Warrior's Den - w/ Warriors Eagleheart shifted restlessly, trying to get comfortable. Though it had been half a season since Morningstrike had moved into the nursery, the tom still felt her absence like a yawning void beside him. The two cats had slept beside each other since their days in the nursery, apart only for the moon in which Eagleheart had been made an apprentice first, then again when he'd been made a warrior. This had been the longest separation, and he knew it was only two more moons, but he still found it hard to clear his head enough to get some rest that night. The tom let out a soft sigh and lifted his head, looking out at the rain spattering lightly against the soft earth. As unforgiving as the night outside looked, he wondered if a walk would help him tire enough to fall asleep.
---------
Ryecloud - Warrior - Camp Clearing - w/ Icetuft, Blizzardstar Ryecloud sat a few fox-lengths from Icetuft, as still as a stone. The slender dappled she-cat seemed oblivious to the raindrops bouncing gently off her pelt, and her green eyes were glazed as she looked out beyond the camp boundaries. Her kits had become apprentices just a few days prior, and though she couldn't be more proud of Hornetpaw and Sunpaw, her heart was still heavy with the loss of her mate, Runningfire. The tom had died before the kits had even opened their eyes, and she sometimes wondered if they even remembered their father. She hoped that he had watched their kits from StarClan as they received their apprentice names - Hornetpaw, looking as proud as a vixen, as she bounced around her new mentor with boundless energy. Sunpaw more reserved, but excitement and committment flashing in her eyes as she stood beside Eagleheart - and though she put up a serene front in their presence, when she was alone, she still grieved for Runningfire, who had been taken from her much too soon.
---------
Shellflame - Warrior - Camp Entrance - w/ N/A The grayish-blue tabby settled down just beyond the thorny barrier as he took his place to keep watch, relieving Darkstream who had been the previous sentry. The storm seemed to have picked up, and Shellflame was grateful that the rocky outcropping jutted out over his head, providing him shelter against the now steady rain. He couldn't imagine sitting out in the open in this weather. He peered out into the gloom, already bored after just a few minutes. No fox or badger would be crazy enough to attack them in this weather, and he doubted there were any rogues out there either. He recalled that Darkstream had mentioned that Moonseeker had gone out hunting, and he couldn't help but admire her tenacity to hunt in a stormfront. For a few moments, he was tempted to go find her. The thought of a moonlight stroll with the pretty white speckled warrior was more than appealing to him. Then, he pushed away the temptation. If any cat found out he had left his post, Blizzardstar would have his fur. And there would be nothing more shameful than being put back on apprentice duties right when his sister Dawnpaw made warrior.
---------
Dawnpaw - Apprentice - Apprentice's Den - w/ Apprentices Though it was late, Dawnpaw's paws fizzled with nervous anticipation. It was hard for the young she-cat to not fidget. The injury that had once kept her out of the warrior's den had long since healed, and she knew her assessment would be soon. She was by far the most senior apprentice. It was about time she joined her brother Shellflame in the warrior's den, where she belonged. And hopefully once I'm there, I'm not mooning over some cat like Shellflame is with Moonseeker. She thought wryly. Her brother had been following the pretty white she-cat like a kit that had lost its mother for about a moon now. The tortoiseshell she-cat shook her head. It was clear that she wasn't getting any sleep. Her own energy, and the crashing storm made quick work of that, and the sound of a few denmates "quietly" whispering didn't help either. Giving her tail tip an irritated flick, she rose to her paws and began to make her way to the den entrance, taking care to skirt around stray tails and paws. With seven apprentices, the den was cramped, and she would be happy to be out of it.
---------
Scratchpaw - Apprentice - Apprentice's Den - w/ Apprentices A large droplet of water hit Scratchpaw's head, splashing. The tom murmured and shifted, laying still once more, until another droplet splashed in the exact same spot. The young tom shook out his ears with a frustrated hiss, letting out a lash of his tail. He hated getting wet, and to make things worse, his littermates were chattering like starlings. They thought they were being quiet, but the soft mews echoed around the quiet den easily. Scratchpaw opened a single amber eye, and saw his brother and sister sitting close with Volepaw, their heads together as they shared some private joke. He let out a snort of disgust. He had never liked Volepaw, who he found too boisterous and bright, and altogether too popular. That much was clearly apparent, seeing how Perchpaw and Bravepaw seemed to be hanging on to his every word. Even Perchpaw, who often acted as if he would put a thorn in your bedding for a couple of mousetails, seemed invested. Was that admiration he heard in Bravepaw's mew? The tom's head whipped up and he glared at their direction. "Don't you have better things to do than mew away and wake every cat up?" He snapped, though rather than the noise, most of his resentfullness stemmed from the fact that he had been excluded. He and his littermates had always done everything together as kits. Not anymore, it seemed.
---------
Brightfall - Queen - Nursery - w/ Morningstrike+Kits Brightfall rolled slightly in her nest, trying to find a position that would accommodate her swollen belly. The young she-cat was very close to kitting, and she could barely move comfortably. She was so bulky that she couldn't even walk to the fresh-kill pile anymore, and she was grateful that Sorrelflame and Moonseeker kept her well fed. She let out a small gasp as she felt a sudden kick from within. She was sure there were at least two. This would be her first litter, as she had only been a warrior for a few moons, and she was glad Morningstrike was in the den with her. The other queen was older and much more experienced, and she had been a valuable source of advice through the pregnancy. She felt another kick, much harder this time, and she was unable to control the startled yelp that escaped her jaws. She turned to look towards Morningstrike, blue eyes wide in alarm as she wondered if she needed to be worried or if it was normal.
---------
Sleetstep - Elder - Elder's Den - w/ Elders Sleetstep had been one of the first to awaken from the booming thunder. Her hearing had always been one of the best in the Clan, and she was still fairly young, especially for the Elder's Den. She blinked and let out a drowsy purr as she looked over at her denmates, who were all nearly twice as old as her or more. She respected each and every one of them, and found that she always had something to learn from their experiences, but she occasionally missed curling up with cats her own age. Her mate Patchhollow ocassionally joined her, but couldn't feasibly stay every night, as he would inevitably disturb the actual Elders when he rose to go on early patrols. That was why he wasn't here tonight - he would be in the Warrior's Den, as he was scheduled for the dawn patrol. Hopefully the rain stops by then. She thought, her gaze traveling to the blustery entrance of the bramble-shielded den, before her gaze finally rested on Foxhowl. The oldest tom in the Clan was thankfully still asleep, though curled up with his tail over his nose, he seemed smaller and frailer than ever. Sleetstep felt a pang of sympathy for the old tom, and wondered when StarClan would finally grant him reprieve and allow him to join their ranks. Almost immediately after, however, the sympathy became guilt at the thought. Foxhowl was a kind and benevolent cat, and like nearly every other cat in the Clan, she had grown up with interesting stories and warm advice from the old cat. He was important to them all.

[Puddlepaw][Blizzardstar] [Medicine Cat Apprentice]-[Medicine cat's den./Leaders Den.]-[Snailwhisker]
Shaking off his mentors tail when he tried to comfort him, a low growl started to rumble in Puddlepaw's throat. "I'm not a kit that needs to be comforted. No. Starclan didn't appear to me..But.." The apprentice trailed off, his body starting to shake and his eyes widening with panic as another smash of thunder hit his ears. His ears flattened tight against his head as lightning flashed so brightly, it blinded him. "I..I'm telling you, Sna..Snailwhisker..This dream..This dream is going to happen..I..I can feel it in my paws.." His ice-blue eyes flashed, as another strike of lightning lit up the den. The tom was clearly in distress and sure of himself. He had to do something about it. He had to go to Blizzardstar. They had to evacuate the camp. They had to save everyone. "Lightning hit a tree and it lit up in flames and it crashed down on the camp. It blocked the elders den and the apprentices den. No one could get out. And then another tree killed the warriors trying to help them and trapped the queens and the warriors still in their dens. Starclan save us..It killed us all, Snailwhisker." Still trembling, the small silver, black and white tabby turned and started heading out of the den and towards Blizzardstar's den. He waved his tail, in hops that his mentor would follow him. Glancing up to where his leaders den set at the top of the stony hollow, the tom could see her deep blue eyes peeking from her den, watching the storm. The wind had picked up and the trees raged angrily against it. Rain had started to fall down upon the camp, causing the apprentice to flee up the rocky slope and burst into Blizzardstar's den. Shivering, he sat beside the pure white molly. Neither spoke a word for a moment, as Puddlepaw shook the water from his pelt. The tom opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out. He prayed to Starclan that Snailwhisker was right behind him. He would be able to help the apprentice find the right words.
The leaders deep blue eyes shifted from the dark and raging storm to the little medicine cat apprentice that sat beside her. She watched curiously as he opened his mouth to speak, only to close it again when nothing would come out. Sensing that something was deeply disturbing the apprentice, the leader gently ran her long and feathery tail along the toms flank, trying to offer him some form of comfort. "As soon as you are ready to speak, I am listening, Puddlepaw. You don't need to be afraid to talk to me. Where is Snailwhisker.?"
[Waspstem] [Warrior]-[Warrior's den]-[Ashwing]
A rumbling purr escaped the tan tom as he heard Ashwing's voice. He could just barely hear her grumble about getting sleep, as thunder and lightning crashed through the sky. For a second, the tom curled himself into a tighter ball. Finally, he gave a yawn and lifted his head, blinking large yellow eyes at his mate. Sympathy filled them as he nudged at the pale grey molly. He could feel the worry rolling off his mate, as she gazed at him with big amber eyes. A storm like this, was enough to make any cat anxious, let alone the deputy. She must feel so much responsibility for the entire clan. "Come to bed, My love. I know it's hard with this storm, but dawn will be here before you know it." Running his thick tail over her spine, he tried to give her some form of comfort, hoping to help calm her worries. His own mind wondered to his kits in the apprentices den. He imagined that they were awake, just as much as the rest of the clan. He doubted any cat was getting any sleep tonight. Gaze traveling out of the warriors den, he spotted a few of his clanmates in view. He watched as Puddlepaw joined Blizzardstar at the entrance of her den. Then glanced at where Icetuft sat near the camp entrance with Ryecloud and Shellflame. Then he saw Shellflame's sister, Dawnpaw slipping from the apprentices den. His ears flickered back has he overheard Sorrelflame and Eagleheart moving about. Sorrelflame suggested the two toms go and see their mates in the nursery. A small snort escaped from the brown and white tom. "I don't understand how any of you could want to be out in this weather. You'd think you would want to stay dry in your nests." He could hear the sound of rain drumming against the ground. Trees creaked and branches whipped against the wind.
[Sorrelflame] [Warrior]-[Warriors Den]-[Eagleheart]
Sorrelflame shifted beside Eagleheart. He could feel the restlessness coming off the black and white tom. He, himself, was pretty restless, his mind tugging constantly at his mate in the nursery. Brightfall was due to have kits any day. The tom wouldn't be surprised if his kits decided to make their grand entrance anytime. With a loud huff, the golden and cream tabby tom got to his paws. He glanced down at Eagleheart and twitched his ears slightly. "Maybe we should go check on Brightfall and Morningstike. See how they are holding up.? And the kits." The warrior wanted nothing more than to be in the nursery with his mate, especially as the storm started to rage on in Blazeclan territory. Maybe they could find some sleep if they knew their mates were comfortable and safe. The tom started towards the den entrance, flattening his ears with a slight groan as he saw the weather starting to rage even harder. He'd be soaked by time he made it to the nursery. Shaking the thought from his head, he narrowed his eyes, trying to see through the raindrops to the den where his mate was resting. With a final deep breath, he ducked his head and raced across the clearing and into the nursery, shaking his pelt out and giving himself swift licks as soon as he got into the warm den. He immediately raced up to Brightfall, crouching beside her and giving her shoulder a soft nudge.
[Icetuft] [Warrior]-[Camp clearing]-[Ryecloud]
Glancing up from her spot in the camp clearing, Icetuft looked over at Ryecloud as the golden and white molly sat near her. Neither of them seemed very phased by the raging storm, ignoring the raindrops that splattered their pelts. The black and white molly stood and moved closer to the younger warrior. She sat close enough that their fur brushed. Not speaking a word, she just stared out at the shaking trees, flicking the rain from her ears as it fell. She could almost feel the grief coming off of Ryecloud and knew that she must be thinking of her mate, Runningfire. Now her kits were apprentices, and the molly was left alone, once again. This was her first time in the warriors den without her mate to curl up with her. She could only imagine how hard it was for her clanmate. Icetuft herself, often felt loneliness without her sisters being around. Sleetstep was an elder now, forced there after losing her leg. And Blizzardstar, well..She was the leader. Often times, the molly felt that she couldn't disturb her sister anymore. She had a whole clan to think about and take care of. Icetuft let out a soft sigh, closing her blue/grey eyes. She knew she would have to get out of the rain soon, and drag Ryecloud with her. For now though, she would sit and keep the younger warrior company.
[Birdwhisper] [Warrior]-[Camp clearing]-[Shellflame]
Getting caught out in a thunderstorm had not been part of Birdwhisper's plan. She had gone out on a midnight stroll, catching a pigeon on the way. Now the large silver tabby raced through the trees, silently cursing Starclan for the rain. She was drenched by the time she reached the camp, her ears completely flat and her hazel eyes as wide as they would go. She spotted the young Shellflame sitting under the rocky overhang, keeping watch. She dove under the incline with him, water dripping from her flank and whispers. She dropped the now soggy pigeon at the young toms paws. "Curse this forsaken rain. I won't dry for a moon." The molly fought the urge to shake out her fur, turning her head to give herself quick and rough licks. She wanted nothing more than to get dry. In between licks, she glanced at Shellflame and spoke. "Want some company.? We can share my pigeon. I won't be able to sleep while I'm wet anyways." The warriors mind wondered to her kits, Volepaw and Puddlepaw. She wondered for a moment if they were awake or fast asleep during this storm. Her mind than wondered to the two apprentices father. Neither of them knew who he was, most of the clan had no idea that their father was a barn cat. She still thought about the tom frequently, though she knew her home was with her clan and his was in the barn. As much as she wished that things had turned out different, she couldn't imagine raising her kits in any way of life, besides the life of a warrior.
[Perchpaw][Bravepaw][Sunpaw] [Apprentice]-[Apprentices den]-[Scratchpaw/Volepaw/Hornetpaw]
A snort of annoyance sounded from Scratchpaw's brother, Perchpaw as the tom snapped at the group of apprentices. He rolled his eyes and glared at his brother. He'd grown use to his brothers sharp-tongue and quick temper, but did he have to be so rude all the time. He turned his back on the small grey and white striped tom. "You don't have to be so darn grumpy. It's not like anyone can sleep around here anyways. Maybe if you learned to be nicer, everyone would include you in things." He didn't mean to snap at Scratchpaw, but Perchpaw himself wasn't much better with his attitude. He and his brother often ended up in tussles and arguments. Even so, everyone knew the two toms would always defend and protect each other. They understood each other better than anyone else did.
Bravepaw, who had been listening to Volepaw, admiration for the tom beeming off her, turned her head when Scratchpaw snapped at the group. Everyone in the clan could tell that she liked the tan and white tom. She'd been padding after him for two moons now. The fawn and grey tabby moved away from her spot beside Volepaw and slunk up to her brother. She tucked her paws underneath her chest and started to lick the wet spot between his ears. She let a soft purr rumble in her chest as she snuggled close to the smoky grey and white striped tom. Her light green eyes softened a little and she nuzzled the tom. "Awe..Come on Scratchpaw, Loosen up. No one can sleep right now. This storm is keeping everyone awake." She glanced at where Perchpaw still sat with Volepaw and shook her head. "You two argue more than anyone in this clan, I swear. You know you love each other. Just have snippy personalities. I still love you anyways."
Flaming orange eyes flashed in the apprentices den as lightning lit up the entire den. The small shape of Sunpaw was curled up in a tight paw, her big bushy tail covering her nose. The red tinged Somali was stiff with anxiety, jumping every single time thunder cracked in the air. She watched as Dawnpaw slipped from the den, hardly paying attention to the commotion of the other apprentices. Even with so many others around her, the molly was still full of fear, the scent of her fear rolling of her in waves. She pressed up harder against her sister, Hornetpaw. The only comfort the molly had in this world. It still felt so weird not being in the nursery with her mother, Ryecloud. A whimper escaped her throat as another crash of thunder filled the air, followed by a strike of lightning.
[Morningstrike & Splashkit] [Queen]-[Nursery]-[Brightfall & Blossomkit]
Morningstrike curled around her two kits, Splashkit and Blossomkit. She was grooming them gently, trying to soothe them asleep as she purred softly to them. Splashkit had just started to fall asleep, soft snores escaping his tiny white body. The queen nudged his black masked face, love flowing through her. She then turned to black and white speckled body of Blossomkit, hoping the little molly was fast asleep. The storm had made it harder to get her kits asleep. The queen herself was a bit restless and wished that her mate, Eagleheart could be with her. Hearing a gasp coming from the nest beside hers, she let her blue eyes flash towards her denmate, Brightfall. The pale ginger and cream colored molly was staring at her with blue eyes full of worry. Morningstike very carefully got to her paws and slipped up to her denmate. She nudged the queen, feeling along her flank. Small ripples were weaving from the queens belly. "I'm pretty sure your kits are coming, Brightfall." The mother turned and padded to the edge of the den. She grabbed a stick that she had kept handy and water soaked moss that she brought in every night before bed, bringing the items back to Brightfall. "You'll need this stick to bite on when the kits are coming. Your body will tell you when to push. You'll know." She glanced out of the den as she spoke, hardly able to see out into the clearing because it was raining so hard. She had no desire to run out of the den to grab Brightfall's mate or the medicine cat. She herself, could help the queen have her kits. And hopefully Sorrelflame would wonder to the nursery. As she thought about the tom, he burst into the den, shaking out his pelt. She let out a sigh of relief as he groomed himself quickly and then hurried to his mates side. Starclan was on their side.
[Silentstike & Smokewatcher] [Elders]-[Elders Den]-[Sleetstep & Foxhowl]
A grumbling came from the heavyset pale ginger and white elder that was curled up beside Sleetstep. The molly was uncomfortable with the wet and stormy weather. Her hips ached and she couldn't find position that made her comfortable. She glanced around the den, her turquoise eyes clouded with the pain she felt. "Starclan is trying to punish me, I swear. I can't stand the wet and cold weather. I don't remember the last time I slept." As she spoke, a snort of amusement came from the distrubed bundle of fawn fur that was curled up next to Foxhowl. Smokewatcher let out a long yawn before twitching his tail. His voice was raspy as he spoke. "Starclan and every other cat knows you grumble about your hips, even on the warmest and driest days, Silentstike."
As the two grumbled at each other, the den entrance shivered and Patchhollow pushed his way into the den. The muscular fawn and white tom let out a purr of greeting, his lime green eyes instantly finding his mate, Sleetstep. He shook out the rain from his pelt before padding up to the three-legged molly. Curling around her body, he gave the white and black molly a nuzzle, eyes warm. Unable to sleep during the storm, the warrior had chosen to leave his nest and joing his mate. He was sure he would get a little sleep if he had the sweet molly by his side.

Snailwhisker / Medicine Cat - Medicine Den -> Leader's Den / Puddlepaw and Blizzardstar Snailwhisker's gaze grew solemn as Puddlepaw spoke vividly of how BlazeClan came to an end. It was clear to him how seriously the young apprentice felt about what he had seen. He had just been about to agree to go see Blizzardstar when Puddlepaw fled the den and raced up to his leader's den. "Puddlepaw, wait!" He called out, then let out a frustrated hiss. "StarClan give me strength..." He muttered. Narrowing his eyes against the rain, he emerged from the den as well and followed behind his apprentice, clearing the distance between them with ease thanks to his longer legs. He joined them just in time to hear Blizzardstar ask for him. "I'm here, Blizzardstar." He meowed, dipping his head to his leader as he joined them below the shelter of the overhang. "Puddlepaw had a dream that a tragedy befell the Clan." He prompted once he saw the apprentice was at a loss for words. "Go on, tell her what you saw." He meowed encouragingly.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Ashwing / Deputy / Warrior's Den / Waspstem Ashwing turned her attention to Waspstem as she saw he had awoken. "I'm sorry." She murmured, touching her nose to his ear. "I didn't mean to wake you." She turned her head back to the den entrance, and the increasing rain. "I can't help but wonder if something's wrong." She fretted. "This storm looks really strong." Nevertheless, she knew there was nothing she could do, so she contented herself with curling back up with Waspstem. A rumbling purr grew from the warmth of his pelt, only to erupt in a chuckle at his following comment towards the restless warriors. "Oh, hush you." She purred affectionately, batting at his muzzle with her tail. Truthfully, she was relieved that her litter were now apprentices. She couldn't imagine the concern of having young kits in this, or kits to come.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Brightfall & Blossomkit / Queen & Kit / Nursery / Morningstrike, Sorrelflame, and Splashkit By now, the pain radiated from Brightfall in waves, and she could only nod in response to Morningstrike's instructions. The young she-cat's eyes were narrowed from the effort, and glittered with anxiety. Her gaze softened slightly when she smelled the familiar scent of Sorrelflame surround her. "Our kits....certainly picked...some good weather...to arrive in..." She meowed through gritted teeth, hoping to calm them both down, only for a yowl to escape her as another contraction passed through her, stronger this time. The first kit was close.
Blossomkit had been fast asleep in her own den, close beside her brother, when Brightfall's cries woke her. The tiny she-kit pricked her ears and looked out of the nest, eyes burning with curiosity. "Is Brightfall okay?" She squeaked, turning her inquisitive gaze on her mother, before tiny paws scrabbled out of the nest to get a closer look. "Is she sick?"
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Eagleheart / Warrior - Warrior's Den -> Nursery / Waspstem -> Morningstrike, Blossomkit, Splashkit, Brightfall, Sorrelflame Eagleheart let out a purr of amusement at his brother's comment, only too aware of how different their situations had been a couple moons ago. "Come on, Waspstem. I seem to recall that when Perchpaw, Scratchpaw, and Bravepaw were still kits, you'd stop by between patrols 'just to check on them'. And every time, Ashwing would tell you that nothing's changed." He replied good-naturedly, flicking his littermate with his tail before following Sorrelflame out of the den. He could understand Sorrelflame's restlessness; Brightfall was a very young she-cat, and had only received her name four moons ago. He was more confident in Morningstrike, but any excuse to go see her was fine with him. He raced across the clearing towards the nursery easily, taking care to shake himself out before entering the den. The scene on the den floor made it apparent what was taking place. "So it's finally time, then? Anything I can do?" He asked Morningstrike, pausing to give her ear a welcoming nuzzle before leaning down to pick up his interrupting daughter with a purr, depositing her back into the nest with Splashkit.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Ryecloud / Warrior / Camp Clearing / Icetuft The shifting of fur nearby her finally seemed to break Ryecloud out of her trance, and she glanced over at Icetuft, embarassed that she had been caught grieving. Icetuft had never taken a mate, and Ryecloud didn't know if the senior warrior truly understood the yawning chasm that stretched inside her right now. Thankfully, the black and white she-cat didn't comment, and Ryecloud was grateful for it. It felt nice to have a clanmate who was simply willing to sit by her in silence. Finally, she broke the silence. "Hornetpaw and Sunpaw have been telling me quite a few good stories about Volepaw." She mewed, referencing Icetuft's apprentice. "It sounds like he's well on his way to becoming a warrior his clanmates can depend on." Just like Runningfire was.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Scratchpaw & Volepaw & Hornetpaw / Apprentices / Apprentice Den / Perchpaw, Bravepaw, and Sunpaw Scratchpaw was ready with a stinging reply, but the snarl melted away in his throat as Bravepaw pressed up against him, her words soothing. His sister had always had a way of calming him down, even when he was really worked up. "Well, maybe if every cat stopped getting so worked up about a storm." He grumbled, fur prickling self-consciously. Truthfully, though he would never admit it, he was glad that Bravepaw had joined him. It made him feel less alone.
"Yeah, come and join us, Scratchpaw." Volepaw invited, sweeping his bushy tail over encouragingly. He then looked over at the newest apprentices, huddled in a corner. "You two as well. It's better to be closer in a storm than by yourselves." He meowed bracingly. Hornetpaw and Sunpaw were barely out of the nursery, and though Hornetpaw seemed to be taking the storm pretty well, her littermate looked terrified.
"You're right. Come on, Sunpaw. Let's join them." Hornetpaw meowed, blinking at her sister, Hornetpaw had always been the brave one, calm in the face of the unknown, while Sunpaw was more skittish and reserved. The full extent of that was seen now that they were separated from their mother in the apprentice's den. Hornetpaw hoped that Sunpaw would open up a bit and talk to the other apprentices. It would do her some good.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Shellflame / Warrior / Camp Clearing / Birdwhisper Shellflame started as Birdwhisper approached him. The tom had been daydreaming - or rather, nightdreaming - and had not noticed her joining him until she was right beside him. Thankfully, she didn't seem to notice his surprise. "Hi, Birdwhisper. Sure, I could use a meal to help me stay awake." He mewed in greeting, making sure to give the she-cat ample space as she shook out her pelt, droplets flying in all directions. He knelt down and took a bite of the pigeon, taking care to avoid the feathers. The meat was soggy and cold, but it was fresh-kill, and he couldn't complain. "Everything quiet out there?" He mumbled between bites.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Sleetstep / Elder / Elder's Den / Smokewatcher, Silentstrike, Foxhowl, Patchhollow Sleetstep let out a purr of amusement as she watched Smokewatcher and Silentstrike bicker. They often teased each other, but she knew it was from long moons of shared experiences, fighting and hunting and patrolling at each other's side. Experiences that had been cut short for her. Then, she remembered what Foxhowl had always said. StarClan had their reasons for everything. Even tragedies were a signal for change. Besides, even she couldn't deny that she was fortunate enough to have a mate. To this day, the white she-cat couldn't see why Patchhollow wanted to be with a three-legged cat, but she was eternally grateful, and loved him all the more for it. Just as soon as she thought about him, the large tom pushed his way into the Elder's Den, and she let out a purr, touching her nose to his. "If you don't get some sleep, the mice will be hunting you on that patrol." She teased lightly, her mew soft and musical.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Dawnpaw / Apprentice / Camp Clearing / N/A Dawnpaw flattened her ears as she looked up at the rain. Looks like even StarClan wants to keep me in that den tonight. She thought irritably, before pushing her way out of the den. It was no matter. Getting a little wet never hurt any cat. She found a small overhang in the clearing and quickly slipped underneath, shaking out her ears. "Surely StarClan must have mistaken us for fish." She muttered under her breath. The sound of rocks scrabbling alerted her to movement on the ledge above, and she looked up just in time to spot Puddlepaw racing up towards Blizzardstar. She didn't think too much of it, until she saw Snailwhisker join them. If both the medicine cats were there, something had to have been going on. Well, if I'm going to be a warrior, then I should be aware of something that could hurt my Clan. To protect it better. She reasoned to herself. Conscious of the rain, she slowly edged closer, to hear what was going on.

[Puddlepaw][Blizzardstar] [Medicine Cat Apprentice/Leader]-[Leaders Den.]-[Snailwhisker]
Curiosity as well as worry brimmed in Blizzardstar's blue eyes as the leader settled into a more comfortable position. Her paws tucked under her chest and her tail wrapped tightly against her side. The white molly pricked her ears up and dipped her head slightly to Snailwhisker in acknowledgment. She then turned her full attention to the little spotted tom. She was grateful for the medicine cat's encouragement to his apprentice. She'd come to depend on the black and white tom a lot during her time as leader. Blizzardstar had been so relieved when Starclan had found another cat with the pull towards their ancestors, knowing that Snailwhisker deserved a friend as well as an apprentice with him in his seasons of serving Blazeclan. Puddlepaw just so happened to have one of the strongest connections with Starclan that she had witness in her moons of life.
Taking a deep breath, Puddlepaw looked between his mentor and his leader, clearing his mind so he could say the words exactly how he needed to. He wanted nothing more than to be taken seriously. He knew this was a dream from Starclan, warning him of the dangers nearing his clan. But would they listen.? Could he get them out in time.? If they started with the apprentices and Elders, they could move to the queens and warriors next. Evacuate the camp. That's what needed to happen. Finally, the medicine cat apprentice turned sharp blue eyes on the white molly. His tone was calm and steady and he spoke with great certainty and seriousness. "I had a dream that fire has destroyed us, Blizzardstar. This very storm, raging as it is. Lightning struck..." He paused, pointing at a tree across from them. "Struck that tree. It burst into flames and fell upon the camp." He turned his tail to where the Apprentices den and Elders den lay, on the same wall the Leaders den sat, but at the bottom of the hollow. He could see Patchhollow slipping in, probably to see his mate. "The top of the tree blocked the entrances of the Elders den and the Apprentices den. I heard no noise from the Elders den. The smoke and flames must have killed them quickly. But the apprentices..Th..They cried for help." He paused taking a shaky breath before he went on. "Ryecloud and Birdwhisper were the closest, they tried to find them a way out, digging through fire. Icetuft and Shellflame had joined them, as well as you. Bu..But then another tree was struck by lightning..And burst into flames..And fell.." He pointed to a tree at the top of the hollow, across from the first tree that would fall. Then pointed at the nursery and warriors den. As he pointed, he could just hardly make out Eagleheart and Sorrelflame going to join their mates in the nursery. His heartbeat quickened as he looked around the clearing and saw Ryecloud and Icetuft sitting in the storm together. Birdwhisper and Shellflame sharing freshkill and keeping watch. Dawnpaw just slipping out of the apprentices den. A shudder shook his body as he spotted the particular cats from his dream. "It fell and crushed you all trying to dig the apprentices out, blocking the entrance to the Warriors den and Nursery. The fear of the kits..And the cries of the queens..The anger of the warriors, as they tried to get out. In the end, dying from fire and smoke. And then..I woke as the last tree was falling on the clearing, right towards me and Snailwhisker."
The leader listened with worry and slight fear now sparking her vision. Her gaze clouded slightly at the sounds of fire and death. How was her clan destined to be wiped out, just like that. She looked up at the dark and angry sky, tail brushing out in anxiety as a loud clap of thunder sounded. Lightning soon struck, almost blinding the white molly and she flinched, ears flattening slightly. Turning her blue gaze to her medicine cat, she addressed him. "And what do you think of this, Snailwhisker.? What do you think we need to do.? Do I evacuate the camp.?" She meant no disrespect towards Puddlepaw. But the tom was young and she wanted the advice of her senior medicine cat, before she addressed the dream. Though her paws itched at the conversation they were having, as if Starclan themselves was telling her to run.
[Waspstem] [Warrior]-[Warrior's den]-[Ashwing]
Waspstems gaze followed his brother has the black and white tabby left the den. He flicked his ear in amusement at his brothers remark before he had left, before turning his attention to his mate. Large yellow eyes softened as he gazed are her, a gentle love in his eyes. He wrinkled his nose slightly at her as she hushed him and slicked his muzzle with her tail. A chuckle erupted from him and he nuzzled close to her, wrapping his long bushy tail over her body. His fawn fur mingling with her pale gray. "Was I really that bad when it came to our kits.?" The warrior knew he had been pretty anxious when his family was in the nursery. He had hated being apart from them. Almost every moment he wasn't doing warrior duties, he was with his mate and kits. Some nights, he had even spent wrapped up with them in the nursery. "I'm glad they are in the apprentices den now. But I still worry about them. I sure do miss sneaking into the nursery with all of you. Now they seem so grown up. I wonder how they are faring during this storm."
[Sorrelflame] [Warrior]-[Nursery]-[Eagleheart & Morningstrike][Blossomkit & Splashkit]---[Brightfall]
Wrapping his body around the ginger and cream molly, Sorrelflame gave his mate reassuring licks along her cheek, back and ears. His light green eyes were full of worry and anxiety at his mates cries and pain. He knew it was just part of the process, but he hated to see her this way. "They would choose to come during the biggest storm Blazeclan has seen. They'll grow through this clan as strong of warriors as the storm they were born in." He spoke with such sureness, his eyes starting to soften happily. He was about to meet the kits that he had been so impatient to have arrive. He moved closer as he listened to Morningstrike's works, trusting the queens knowledge of bringing kits into the world. "You just focus on getting the kits out, Brightfall. I'll get the first one clean and safe." The impatience of the tom grew, as he knew that any moment, one of his kits would be coming. The warrior hardly even heard the others around him, his attention fixed solely on his mate. His gaze searched her face, an encouraging purr coming softly from him as he did.
[Icetuft] [Warrior]-[Camp clearing]-[Ryecloud]
The two warriors sat in silence for a bit, the rain beating down on them. Icetuft's thick fur was soaked to her bones by now. She didn't mind though, wanting nothing but to be there for her clanmate. Her ears flicked slightly at the start of Ryecloud. She turned her blueish/grey eyes on the golden and white dappled molly. Amusement filled her eyes at the mention of Volepaw, her tan and white apprentice. The tom was a hit around the camp. He was a fantastic apprentice and an even better den mate. "He is a wonderful apprentice. Doesn't really complain. Always eager to learn. Always wanting to help the other apprentices. He loves assisting the elders. He's definately become a hit in the camp. I think he will do very well as a warrior in this clan. He definately tries to put eveyrone before himself. And he has such a light heart and full of humor. Just the kind of warrior we need, make the rest of us feel young." The molly paused for a moment and then let out a soft purr. "Hornetpaw is already showing great promise, just in the last few days. She is very outgoing. Sunpaw definately has a loyalty to serve this clan, but she is so timid. I hope she grows from that. But even if she doesn't, I know she'll make a great warrior."
[Birdwhisper] [Warrior]-[Camp clearing]-[Shellflame]
The large silver tabby sat down, wrapping her tail over her tail. She leaned down and took a bite of the pigeon she had brought over. She wrinkled her nose at the cold and soggy taste of it. A soft sigh escaped her as she chewed quickly and then swallowed her mouthful. Hazel eyes turned to meet Shellflame's flame orange ones. Tail-tip twitching, she looked back out at the stormy sky, eyes narrowing to try to see through the rain. "It wasn't bad out there..Well..At least until this Starforsaken rain started." A snort of amusement came from the warrior as she shook her head, taking another bite of the bird. She chewed slowly for a moment, before swallowing and shrugging slightly. "Even ruined my freshkill. I hate the rain. How'd you get stuck doing watch.?"
[Perchpaw][Bravepaw][Sunpaw] [Apprentice]-[Apprentices den]-[Scratchpaw/Volepaw/Hornetpaw]
Bravepaw nuzzled her brothers cheek with great affection. Her tail ran along his gray and white striped side. She wanted nothing but for everyone to get along. Knowing her brother best though, she knew he wouldn't go over to join Volepaw and their brother Perchpaw. So she made the decision to stay with him, but listen in with the other apprentices. She tucked her paws underneath her chest, her side pressed tightly against her brothers. She turned and gave her fawn and grey tabby fur a few quick licks before she turned her attention back to Scratchpaw. "I'm sorry we woke you, Scratchpaw. I'll stay here with you. I think the storm is just keeping everyone awake, so that's why we are talking so much. Better to distract ourselves, than have to sit in silence, listening to a storm that keeps us all awake."
With his back still to his brother, and now his sister, Perchpaw turned his attention back to Volepaw. He twitched his ears in a welcome gesture to Hornetpaw and Sunpaw, knowing that they probably felt shy and uncomfortable among the rest of them. "Yesterday, Barktail was teaching me to climb. Showed me how to stalk out enemies within the tree branches. Even taught me some battle moves that would shock any invaders. You can land right on their back and they wouldn't even know it until its too late." Baby blue eyes flashed with pride as he went on, head high and whiskers twitching. "Soon after that, we went closer to the moor, and I caught the big rabbit that the elders shared last night."
Flaming orange eyes, flashing with anxiety, the red tinged Somali got to her paws. She slunk after her sister, stopping to the back of Hornetpaw, but keeping close enough that her long fur brushed her sisters gold and black striped flank. She blinked a shy greeting at Volepaw and Perchpaw, too shy to actually speak to either toms. She lashed her tail once, wishing that she was with her mother, back in the nursery again. She waited for Hornetpaw to speak, knowing the other molly would be much better at a conversatation than she was. Sunpaw's ears flattened and she flinched, hiding her face against her sisters fur as another crash of thunder shook their den.
[Morningstrike & Splashkit] [Queen]-[Nursery]-[Eagleheart & Blossomkit]--[Sorrelflame & Brightfall]
Eyes that matched the storm clouds outside, seemed to lighten when they spotted her mate slipping into the nursery. She lifted her tail high in a happy greeting, a purr erupting from her chest. Though the queen was partially blind, it was as if she could see fully. She was always so aware of who was around her and what was going on. She was grateful she could still see her family enough to know what they look like every single day. She closed her eyes happily as Eagleheart nuzzled her ear before opening them to witness the tom pick up Blossomkit and plop her back into the nest. She leaned down and nuzzled Blossomkit, voice soft as she spoke to her tiny kit. "Now hush, Blossomkit, and mind your own. Brightfall is about to have her kits. So I want you to be on your best behavior." The black appaloosa turned her attention back to Eafleheart to answer his question. She was grateful that Sorrelflame was here as well. It would make the birthing process for Brightfall, much easier. "Right now, I don't think there is anything we can do. It all lays in Brightfall's paws now. She has water by her and a stick to help. She just needs to push, when her body tells her." Turning an eye back to Brightfall, she spoke to the ginger and cream molly. "With the next contraction, I want you to push the first kit out. The second kit will follow right after. When you have the kit, you must break the sac and then lick it's fur the wrong way. As soon as you clear out their lungs and you hear their cries, put them to your belly and let them nurse. Sorrelflame and Eagleheart can clean the kits for you. You just focus on pushing them out."
At the commotion in the den, Splashkit opened it large eyes. He blinked sleep from his eyes, letting out a long yawn. One stormy grey eye and one blue, turned towards Blossomkit. He batted at her slightly, his ears pricked and eyes full of curiosity. "What's going on in here.? Why is everyone awake.?" He stood on sleepy and wobbly legs, stretching each out slowly. His tail lashed in the nest, ears swiveling towards his parents as he noticed they were deep in conversation with Brightfall.
[Silentstrike & Smokewatcher][Patchhollow] [Elders]-[Elders Den]-[Sleetstep & Foxhowl]
"Honestly, I couldn't sleep. A storm like this hasn't happened in a long time. I don't even know if there has been one this bad since I have been alive. Starclan knows that I thought I'd sleep better with you." The white tom wrapped around his black and white mate, his fawn patches a bit scruffily from restlessness. He let out a large yawn, two rows of sharp teeth showing. Resting his head on the molly's back, he tangled his tail with hers, ears twitching as he caught the end of Smokewatcher and Silentstrike's arguements. The two Cats were only 10 moons apart and had spent almost their entire lives together. They were the best of friends. They understood each other better than anyone else in the clan. Smokewatcher would comfort Silenstrike on her worst days, and Silentstrike was Smokewatcher's eyes and ears.
Smokewatcher stood stiffly and limped over to Silentstrike. The large fawn and black tinged tom curled around the smaller, heavyset molly. He gave her pale ginger fur a gentle grooming, their tails resting on top of each other. "Just try to get some rest, Silentstrike. Before our bickering wakes Foxhowl." "If the storm hasn't woken that old tom, nothing will." The snort of a response came from Silentstrike as she leaned into Smokewatcher. The elders sharp tongue didn't mean any harm as she spoke of her older brother. She respected and adored the older tom, blinking warmly towards the bundle of ginger fur.

Snailwhisker / Medicine Cat / Leader's Den / Blizzardstar and Puddlepaw Snailwhisker listened unblinkingly as Puddlepaw narrated the details of the dream in vivid, harrowing detail. Another flash of lightning, very close to the camp now, cast an orange glow on the tom's green eyes, as if reflecting the green of the forest being consumed in embers itself. He could tell by how serious Puddlepaw was going about this, that it wasn't some reach. His fur prickled with anxiety as he considered what could potentially befall the Clan. With the ending of the dream, Snailwhisker closed his eyes, shuddering as he imagined the weight of the massive mighty oak looming above him, and him helpless to prevent the devastation. As Blizzardstar addressed him, he paused for a second to collect his thoughts, and opened his eyes. He looked over at Puddlepaw, holding his gaze for a few moments, before turning to look back at his leader. "I trust Puddlepaw." He finally mewed. "Puddlepaw has some of the strongest intuition for dreams that I've seen. If he says this is going to happen, then I believe him. If a fire is coming, we need to clear out the camp. With StarClan's luck nothing happens, and the worst is cats get soaked and annoyed. A fine result considering the alternative..." His mew trailed off, then his gaze hardened into action. "We should move quickly, Blizzardstar."

Ashwing / Deputy / Warrior's Den / Waspstem Ashwing let out a purr of amusement as she recalled nights where she had been drowsing off, only to be startled by Waspstem's face appearing in the nursery entrance. "When it first happened, I thought you were a fox that had found the nursery." She told him, whiskers twitching in amusement. "I was about two mousetails from clawing your face off before I scented you." Thunder rumbled overhead, and she looked up once more, out of the den. Even though her kits were apprentices, she was still a mother, and she would never stop worrying about those three, no matter how old they got. However, now that they were a few moons into their training, she felt a strange sense of comfort that she had never felt when they were kits. Now they had some training, and would be able to take care of themselves to a degree. It really helped soften some of the anxiety, watching them bring back prey and practicing fighting moves. Just then, she spotted movement near Blizzardstar's den, and she squinted to get a better look through the rain. "Was that Snailwhisker...?" She mused in consternation. "Is something going on?"
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Brightfall, Eagleheart, & Blossomkit / Queen, Warrior, & Kit / Nursery / Sorrelflame, Morningstrike, Splashkit Despite the waves of pain and focus emanating from the young ginger and cream queen, she managed the strength to curl her tail against Sorrelflame's as a source of comfort, for both of them, as if to say that everything would be okay. Then, suddenly, a huge spasm passed through her, and she was unable to contain her yowl. She couldn't think of anything to do other than to push, and she did - she pushed until a small bundle of slippery fur rolled onto the soft moss nest.
Eagleheart knew what to expect from Morningstrike's kitting, and the moment the first kit, a she-cat, emerged, he gently nipped the sac to allow it to breathe. The moment he heard the first tiny gasp as the kit took it's first breath of life, he gently picked it up and placed it in front of Sorrelflame to help warm it up.
A second yowl, louder than the first, signalled that the second kit had arrived. Eagleheart followed suit, and then began to lick the tiny tom kit's fur the opposite way, until he finally felt him stir slightly. Exchanging a glance of excitement and relief with Morningstrike, he carefully placed the kit beside its mother. "Congratulations, Brightfall. You have two healthy kits. A tom and a she-cat." He purred, before stepping back to stand beside Morningstrike, allowing the new mother some time with her kits.
Brightfall was completely exhausted, and her blue eyes were mere slits, but there was only love in her gaze as she felt the two kits curled at the crook of her body, suckling contently and drinking up precious life-giving milk. "They're beautiful." She whispered, a lump in her throat as she stretched her muzzle to touch Sorrelflame's. As she watched them, despite her own tiredness, she felt a sudden urge to name her kits. She didn't know why; there would be many days for that yet; but she couldn't ignore the feeling, and so she knelt down to touch her nose to the tom kit's head. Immediately, the kit, who's pelt was a startling copy of Brightfall's, instinctivelty raised his head at the touch. "This one will be Rimekit." She mewed softly, admiring the clash of white and cream in his pelt, like the flurry of a snowstorm. She looked up at Sorrelflame for his approval, before moving to the she-kit, who's pelt was a muted ginger and gold, with spots like stars in an evening sky. "And this one, Fawnkit?" Her gaze flitted up to Sorrelflame once more.
Blossomkit watched the proceedings with blue eyes as wide as an owls, until she felt a soft paw against her flank, and she turned to her freshly awoken brother. "Brightfall is having her kits!" She informed her littermate excitedly, puffing out her chest in the proud demeanor of a kit acting as if she had known all along rather than having just been told. "We're not going to be the youngest kits in the nursery anymore! We'll have to teach them all the best games before we become apprentices." She mewed, nodding her little head decisively.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Ryecloud / Warrior / Camp Clearing / Icetuft Ryecloud couldn't help but let out a purr at what an accurate description of her two kits Icetuft had just provided. "It's always been that way, ever since the Nursery." She mewed, whiskers twitching in amusement. "Hornetpaw's the doer, telling every cat the right way things should be and then doing it herself, as if she's already Clan leader, and Sunpaw's the thinker, telling her it's a bad idea but right behind her backing her up regardless. They're a good pair. And I can see them becoming even more once Sunpaw starts to open up." The younger warrior's affectionate comment was interrupted with a heavy boom of thunder crashing overhead, and the she-cat flinched visibly. When she looked back up, her fur was bristling and her eyes were wide in alarm. That was far too loud for a regular storm. "We should get back inside." She murmured.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Shellflame / Warrior / Camp Entrance / Birdwhisper "I don't think any cat expected this." Shellflame replied with a small sigh. "Darkstream had the last watch, but she's on the dawn patrol, so I started my watch early." He explained. "She's got the last laugh now, warm and cozy in her nest while I'm out here. Must be nice to be Blizzardstar's former apprentice." He retorted, though the good-natured flick of his tail showed that he was just joking. "Volepaw seems to be really coming into his own." He commented. He had shared the apprentice's den with the younger tom for about four moons, until he had received his name. "And Puddlepaw's the medicine cat apprentice. I'm sure their father is very proud." Though his tone was casual, the meaning behind the comment was apparent. Birdwhisper's choice to keep the kits' father a secret was by far an exotic one in the Clan, and the source for quite a bit of debate. The predominant theory was that it was Barktail. The massive senior warrior had never formally taken a mate, and he and Birdwhisper were quite close, but the brown warrior had never shown interest beyond normal in the two kits, and his response when asked by any cat had always been cryptic.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Scratchpaw, Volepaw, & Hornetpaw / Apprentices / Apprentice Den / Perchpaw, Bravepaw, Sunpaw Scratchpaw couldn't stay upset, especially not at Bravepaw. He had always had a weak spot of her, even as kits. His sister had an uncanny way of wrapping him around her little claw when she wanted. Instead, the young tom settled down with a sigh, amber eyes narrowed slightly as he watched Volepaw. "So, you and Volepaw?" He commented idly with a sidelong whisper. "Can't say I'm surprised. I think the whole den's noticed by now." Part of his resentment towards the older tom stemmed from jealousy at how much of his sister's time that he took. Not that he had any particular reason to complain. Volepaw was a fun and confident tom, and a genuinely good warrior. He was happy for his sister, but the fact didn't make him any less grumpy.
Volepaw's eyes glowed with amusement as Perchpaw related his most recent day of training. "Barktail can climb? I'm surprised the tree didn't come crashing down." He joked. The huge brown warrior was by far the largest cat in the Clan, built more like a badger than a cat. "Smokewatcher told me that when he was an apprentice, Barktail came across a fox on the territory. The fox must have mistaken him for a full grown cat, because it took off running! Barktail was more confused than the fox." He purred in amusement as he recalled the story, gaze full of affection for the cat who had been a father figure for much of his life. Barktail wasn't his father; that much he knew; but he cared, and that's all that mattered. Plus, it was impossible for any cat to dislike Barktail. He had a heart of gold.
"Sunpaw caught a mouse on her first day out." Hornetpaw added proudly to the conversation with a glance towards her sister, hoping that it would give her a way to join in. "Eagleheart was really impressed. He was saying that even he hadn't caught anything on his first day." She decided to leave out the fact that Eagleheart had scented and stalked the small rodent, driving it towards Sunpaw's paws. She wanted her littermate to build some more confidence in herself.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Sleetstep & Fowhowl / Elders / Elders Den / Smokewatcher, Silentstrike, Patchhollow Sleetstep let out a small purr of amusement at Silentstrike's comment towards Foxhowl, looking over at the old tom once more. There wasn't a cat in the Clan who hadn't been touched by Foxhowl's kindness or generosity. She had only been a tiny kit when the tom was already a senior warrior, but she had grown up with the tom's stories and advice. She knew that most of his senses had been sheared away by age, but she remembered the tom in his prime, a powerful and loyal warrior who had given everything in the service of his Clan. She remembered how heartbroken the tom had been when his mate Icewing had died giving birth, and the moons of pain that had followed. She pressed closer to Patchhollow's side. She couldn't imagine how it would feel to lose her mate. Foxhowl had been through so much, and though his time would come when it did, he deserved all the peace and quiet in the world now. "I'll fetch you some dry moss in the morning, Silentstrike." She promised with an affectionate purr. "Let's let Foxhowl catch some squirrels for a bit longer."

[Puddlepaw][Blizzardstar] [Medicine Cat Apprentice/Leader]-[Leaders Den.]-[Snailwhisker]
Giving a short nod of her head in agreement with her medicine cats, Blizzardstar stepped from her den. Her eyes flashed in the darkness as she glanced up at the sky. The rain had stopped for a short moment, but the wind howled around them. She took a deep breath and dove down the rockface, towards the warriors den. Pushing her way inside the den, she immediately went to her deputy, Ashwing and her deputy's mate, Waspstem. She dipped down close to them, keeping her voice low. "Ashwing. Waspstem." She dipped her head slightly in a greeting, but her voice was thick with concern. "Puddlepaw has had a pretty disturbing dream. Lightning struck the trees around camp and caused them to catch on fire and fall into camp, killing us all. We must get the clan out of camp. Immediately." Without waiting for a response, the white molly turned and pushed her way from the den. Her gaze fell on the elders den and the apprentices den, which sat side by side. Just as she took a step towards the elders den, a blinding ball of light struck a tree above her. Shrinking back against the warriors den, eyes tightly closed and ears flattened, fear struck the Leader. She had no time to think, before a thunderous crack sounded. Opening her eyes, they quickly widened in horror as a flame-lit tree came falling into the hollow, straight for the Elders den and Apprentices den. A screech erupted from her as she booked it towards the apprentices den, fur fluffed up so she looked twice her size. Before she could make it to the den something hit her side at such force, it sent her flinging away from the dens. Rolling over and over, she finally came to a stop on her back, heaving for breath. Her sister, Icetuft was pinning her down, hissing in terror. "Are you crazy!? You would have been killed!" Blizzardstar looked over just as the tree crashed down, blocking the dens of the clans senior members and apprentices. Panic filled her entire body and she watched the flames engulf the tree. She could hardly hear a thing as she shoved her sister off of her and bounded towards the Elders den, straining her ears to try and hear a sound. She swore she could hear the sound of Patchhollow, desperately crying out to the other cats within the den. Heaving for breath, as thick black smoke stung her eyes and lungs, the leader let out a cry. Her sister, Sleetstep was in there. She'd never make it out alive, she knew that. Turning, she dove for the apprentices den, scanning to see how she could help the apprentices out. She could hear their cries, as they begged for help. Smoke and heat hit Blizzardstar, she could only imagine how bad it was in the rocky den. She reached for a flaming branch, hissing as it burnt her pads, but clenching her teeth through the pain as she tried tugging at the branches. Nothing budged. She looked around frantically at the other warriors in the clearing, not knowing what to do. Her ears flattened tight against her head as she watched Birdwhisper let out a screech of horror, throwing herself at the flaming hot tree, hardly flinching as it scorched her fur. She could just barely hear her clanmate begging Starclan to save her kit, Volepaw. Turning blue eyes back towards where Puddlepaw and Snailwhisker were, She hoped that Snailwhisker would get Puddlepaw out of camp. She knew painfully, that the young tom was losing his brother. Their only hope was to get as many as they could out of the camp, before it was to late. "Blazeclan! Evacuate! Leave the hollow! Head for the river!" Her order was almost drowned out by another crack of thunder, followed by another ball of light, striking another tree. Her eyes glued to the tree as she watched it burst into flames, knowing with a horrible feeling, that Puddlepaw's dream, was coming true. Right before their very eyes.
Panic filled Puddlepaw's blue eyes as the little tom watched his Leader dive for the Warriors den. He pressed himself against his mentor, crouching down with fear and closing his eyes tightly as a ball of light flashed before them. He blinked over and over, trying to clear his vision of the blinding light. As his vision started to clear, his gaze landed on his leader to see her pressed against the warriors den, fur bristling and ears flattened. He stared the the flaming tree above the hollow, tail fluffing out in horror. "They'll all die!" He cried, watching with flattened ears as the white molly below them dove towards the apprentices den. He crouched even lower as the tree cracked and came diving down, right where Blizzardstar was running. He opened his mouth to cry out a warning, just had a flash of white fur barreled into the leader. Icetuft had saved the leader in time of being crushed by the tree. But the Elders and Apprentices were now trapped. Shaking against his mentor, he watched as Blizzardstar and his mother, Birdwhisper tugged at flaming branches, trying to get the apprentices out. Their cries for help, reached his ears. He took a step forwards, immediately thinking of his brother, who was now trapped in the den. "Volepaw.."
[Waspstem] [Warrior]-[Warrior's den]-[Ashwing]
Waspstem barely had time to think, as Blizzardstar pushed her way into the den. His ears pricked up with curiosity as she approached them, speaking in a whisper. Fur bristling at the mention of fire, the tom turned his yellow eyes on his mate, Ashwing. He heard Blizzardstar turning to leave the den and immediately stood, heart racing. "You get the rest of the warriors awake. I'll go get the apprentices." His mind immediately went to their kits, Perchpaw, Bravepaw, and Scratchpaw. As he pushed his way from the den, Blizzardstar scrunched back, causing him to bump right into the white molly. His ears flattened tight to his head as he heard the crack of a tree above the hollow. He just pushed from the den as the tree crashed down, blocking the apprentices and elders den. Mouth gaped open in complete shock, he rushed forward. Blizzardstar and Birdwhisper reached the blazing tree top before he did. He joined them in clawing at blazing branches, not even feeling the burning flames or feeling the smoke hit his lungs, as he cried for his kits. "Perchpaw! Bravepaw! Scratchpaw! Can you hear me?! Are you alive!?" Gasping and sputtering for breath, as the thick smoke finally hit him, the fawn and white tom blinked burning tears from his eyes. He could feel the flames, burning sharp against his flank, scorching his fur and paws. His ears pricked up frantically as he heard the cry of Bravepaw, begging for help. He swore he could hear a rumbling growl from Perchpaw, like he was in pain. Claws scraping from the inside of the den. His son was trying to fight his way out. He tugged harder at a branch, hearing Sunpaw calling out for her mother, Ryecloud. His mind went frantically for his mate, Ashwing. How she must be feeling during this.
[Sorrelflame] [Warrior]-[Nursery]-[Eagleheart & Morningstrike][Blossomkit & Splashkit]---[Brightfall]
Doing his best to comfort his mate, Sorrelflame murmured words of encouragement to her. His eyes were wide and full of love as he flattened his ears slightly at her yowls of pain. He watched as the first wet bundle plopped into the moss and Eagleheart nipped the sack open. Ears pricking back up, he listened to the little she-kit let out a muffled cry. The second Eagleheart pushed the kit to him, he licked the kits fur the wrong way, getting her pale ginger and gold spotted fur dry and warm. His heart warmed immediately at the sight of his little daughter, before Eagleheart grabbed the kit and set it beside a little tom-kit that looked almost exactly like his mother, A purr exploded from the tom as Brightfall nuzzled the two kits, naming them. His light green eyes met her blue ones and he nodded in agreement to the names. Fawnkit and Rimekit. Perfect names, for his perfect kits. As he opened his mouth to speak, he heard a horrible cracking sound and a crash outside the den. Screeches filled the air and his warm gaze turned to panic as he turned to look at Eagleheart. He shoved his way out of the nursery to see a flame-lit tree, blocking the dens across the clearing. Blizzardstar turned as he stared in horror, crying out for the clan to evacuate. Quick on his feet, the golden and cream tabby tom whipped around and burst back into the den. His voice was urgent and his tail lashed behind him. "We have to go. We have to get the kits out. NOW! There's a fire in the camp." He reached for his daughter, picking her up gently by the scruff, eyes wild with fear. He turned and nuzzled Brightfall, his eyes latching onto her face, praying to Starclan that they all made it out safe. He didn't want to leave without his mate and his son.
[Icetuft] [Warrior]-[Camp clearing]-[Ryecloud]
Icetuft barely flinched at the crash of thunder, but pushed against Ryecloud as the molly jumped beside her, fur bristling. She nodded in agreement that they should head back into the den. Relief washed over her as the rain stopped pouring and the only sound was the cry of the wind. She stood to turn and head for the warriors den, when she spotted her sister, pushing her way from the warriors den. She seemed panicked. As a blinding flash of light, lit up the sky, Icetuft pressed her black and white body against then ground. ears flattened. She watched in horror, as her vision cleared, at the flaming tree top above the hollow. Her gaze darted back to her sisters white coat as she darted towards the apprentices den. Ears ringing as the tree trunk gave and ear-splitting crack, she watched as the tree started tipping straight towards the leader. Bursting forwards, she ran straight into her sisters flank, flinging her clear of the tree. Tussling her to the ground, she panted as she got her pinned on her back, before they both turned and watched the tree crash down and block the apprentices den and elders den. Almost immediately, Blizzardstar shoved her aside and hurried to the blocked dens, calling out to the trapped cats. Icetuft rushed up to the elders den as her sister moved to the apprentices den. She pulled at a branch, wincing as the hot flames lapped at her flank. The branch she tugged at, crumbled into ashes as flames licked at it. "Sleetstep? Are you alive!? Can you hear me!?"
[Birdwhisper] [Warrior]-[Camp clearing]-[Shellflame]
Birdwhisper's ears flicked slightly at Shellflame's comment. Her hazel eyes flashed slightly, almost giving away her secret. But she quickly blinked any doubt and anxiety from her eyes and her eyes warmed. She nodded slightly, happy to talk about her kits. "No one is as proud of them as I am, though. Puddlepaw has an amazing connection with not only his clanmates, but also Starclan. He will be a remarkable medicine cat. As for Volepaw, well..He is going to be a great warrior. He's hard not to like in this clan. I've heard nothing but good things." The secret she held from not only her clan, but her kits, clung to her every single day. The only one that knew her secret was her best friend, Barktail. He would never betray the secret of hers. He even took the burden of letting the clan believe the kits were his. She was all the more grateful to him, every single day. He was so loyal to her and she appreciated his efforts. Her own kits had grown to look at the tom as a father figure. Before the molly could continue anymore of the conversation, she watched in panic as a flaming tree, fell upon the camp, trapping the den that her kit was in. Without even thinking, she dove at the tree, a panic, ear-splitting screech escaping from her throat. She dug at the flaming branches, not even caring that the flames were scorching her pads and flank. She flattened her ears, eyes watering and her chest tightening. "VOLEPAW. Please, Starclan..Please no. Volepaw, can you hear me!? Starclan save him.."
[Perchpaw][Bravepaw][Sunpaw] [Apprentice]-[Apprentices den]-[Scratchpaw/Volepaw/Hornetpaw]
The fawn and graytabby molly felt her ear-tips start to burn and she ducked her head, licking her chest quickly. She let out a ruffled purr, tail flicking her brother at his words. She didn't realize the clan had noticed how close she had gotten to Volepaw. She blinked at him with warm green eyes. "I don't think he notices me that much. I'm just a denmate, like the rest of you. I'm sure he just sees me as a friend." Though her paws itched at her own words, as she turned her gaze back to where the other apprentices gathered around Volepaw. She'd been padding after the tan and white tom since the day she had moved to the apprentices den. She admired him and had grown fond of him. As she listened to the apprentices bragging about each other, she let out a soft sigh, only to jump clear from the nest she was sharing with her brother as a flashing of light lit up the den for a split second, only to have darkness crash upon them once more. A thunderous crack split the air, hurting her ears and she flicked her ears as anxiety gripped her chest. She turned to look at her denmates, eyes wide, before going to push her way from the den. Just as she reached the den entrance, a crash sounded, and flame covered branches poked into the den, causing the molly to jump backwards, right into Hornetpaw. She let out a startled screech as heat and thick smoke filled the den, causing her to break off into a hacking fit. She moved to Scratchpaw's side, panic filling her. She could hear the screeches of the cats outside the den. Birdwhisper calling for Volepaw. Waspstem, crying out for them. Blizzardstar screeching at the clan to get out of camp. And they..They were trapped. Some of the youngest lives in the clan, stuck against rock, trapped by branches and fire. "Someone help us! Get us out of here!" The cry rocked her body as she shook against her brothers flank, watching as Perchpaw threw himself against the fire, clawing at branches. She could see fire lapping at his grey and black fur, his baby blue eyes full of anger and fear. Panic filled her as she watched him succumb to his injures and the smoke and he slumped to the ground, fighting for his last breaths. She dove forwards, dragging his battered and bloody and burnt body away from the licking flames, licking at his flank swiftly. "No..No..Perchpaw, Please no.." The fire had killed him, and killed him fast. It wouldn't take much longer for the smoke alone to take the rest of them, let alone the burning flames that licked at their pelts. She hardly felt the burn as she mourned over her brother, eyes thick with grief. She looked up at Scratchpaw, eyes full of saddness. The fear and panic had left her body and she could feel the pain of the burns on her body as well as the struggling for her lungs to have air. She could feel her legs shaking, growing weaker and her vision started to edge with black. Fighting the death that would soon claim her, she let out a whimper of pain, watching as Sunpaw took her last breath. She turned her eyes to Volepaw, sadness filling her. How she had wished to have a life by his side. How she had hoped they would grow closer as they became warriors together. Then she turned her loving green eyes back to her brother, meeting his amber eyes. "I..I..Love..You..Scratchpaw.." Final words forced out, as she gasped each word out slowly, the little fawn and grey spotted molly crumbled, her life escaping her body at last.
Perchpaw dove at the den entrance, clawing at the flaming branches. He could hear his sisters cry, ringing in his ears. Fire burned at his belly and paws, burning him easily. He growled angrily against the pain, eyes flashing against the heat. He clawed, snarling as one of his claws ripped against the branches. Starclan wouldn't let them die this way, they couldn't. He heard the terrified whimpers and yipes coming from a frantic Sunpaw as she called out for her mother, Ryecloud. He couldn't let his denmates die this way. He fought as hard as he could, nothing budging. His eyes burned against the heat and smoke and he fell into a coughing fit, before slumping against the burning tree, gasping for breath. His fur on his flank was burnt and his skin melting into nasty bloody sores. He hardly felt his sister drag him away from the flames, or hear her voice as she spoke out. He felt her tongue against his burning and sore body for a moment more, before darkness clouded his vision. Taking one last shuddery breath, the little greyish/black tom fell still.
Sunpaw watched in horror as Perchpaw tried to fight his way from the den, Bravepaw's screeches and cries filling the entire den. She watched with fearful cries as Perchpaw fell against the fire and smoke, his body burnt and bloody. The tom took a final breath, before falling still and silent. She turned and looked at her sister in complete shock, fear freezing her body. Pressing as tightly as she could to her sister, the little red tinged Somali cried out for her mother. How she wished she was still in the nursery. She was just made an apprentice. She wasn't suppose to die yet. They hadn't even had a chance to try and be warriors, to prove to the clan how great they could be. Her mother would never survive losing them. She'd already lost their father. "Mother please..Help us. Ryecloud..I'm alive. I don't want to die.." She whimpered as flames licked her side, burning her. Wincing against the pain, a cough broke her body as the thick smoke filled her lungs. She couldn't breath, the tightness in her chest growing, until her vision grew black. The youngest member of the apprentice, collapsed beside her sister, heaving once, heaving twice, before struggling once more to try and catch a breath of air, before falling still. Her body lay limp and lifeless, gone far too soon.
[Morningstrike & Splashkit] [Queen]-[Nursery]-[Eagleheart & Blossomkit]--[Sorrelflame & Brightfall]
Morningstike quickly stood and grabbed the little Rimekit in her jaws, before shoving the little white, cream and ginger kit at her mate. Her stormy grey eyes locked with Eagleheart's blue eyes and she touched her nose to his, eyes wide and full of fear. "Help Sorrelflame get these kits out of here. Brightfall and I will get Blossomkit and Splashkit out." Her gaze was pleading, as she urged her mate not to argue with her and nudged him towards the den entrance. She flicked Sorrelflame with her tail, telling him to get out. Then the turned to her own kits. She nuzzled them gently, softening her voice. "As soon as your father and Sorrelflame get the new kits out of here..Brightfall and I will get you two out. We have to get out of camp, because there is a fire out there. You have to sit still and let us carry you, do you understand me.?"
Looking up at his mother with wide grey and blue eyes, Splashkit nodded in agreement. He pressed his white fur against his mother, watching his father hold onto Rimekit, hesitant about leaving them. The black splash across his face quite visible as he looked out into the camp. He could see the flames licking the dens across the camp. Fur brushing up, he looked up at his mother and then at his sister, scared for his life.
[Silentstrike & Smokewatcher][Patchhollow] [Elders]-[Elders Den]-[Sleetstep & Foxhowl]
As the entrance was blocked by the flaming tree, thick black smoke rolled into the elders den, quickly filling it. As Smokewatcher tried to to speak, he choked on the smoke, couching and heaving for breath. Beside him, Silentstrike buried her face against the fawn and black tinged toms fur, wheezing breaths escaping from the heavyset molly. Within moments, a final gasping breath sounded from Smokewatcher and the elder fell completely still, his long life with Blazeclan quickly cut off. Beside him, Silentstrike fought for air, her large turquoise eyes rolling into her head. The elders had no strength to fight the smoke that filled their lungs. They would quickly succumb to the thick black smoke. With one final shudder, the pale ginger and white molly went still, her head falling to the den floor, resting against Smokewatcher's. The two had lived most of their lives together, and took their final breaths, side by side.
"Sleetstep.." A raspy cough sounded from beside the black and white molly as Patchhollow pressed against her, trying to escape the flames that were licking the edges of the den entrance. He had listened to the final gasps of air, coming from Smokewatcher and Silentstrike, calling out to them as they had died. There was no way there were escaping this den. Which meant, this was their final moment together. He turned and nuzzled his face against Sleetsteps, a raspy cough coming from him as smoke filled his lungs. His eyes burned as he fought to see his mate beside him. "I just want you to know..I'm so grateful I'm in this den with you right now, and not on the outside, watching you be trapped." The warrior shook with fear as well as pain as his lungs ached inside of him. He couldn't imagine being on the other side of the den wall. If he was to die, at least he would die beside his mate. Another cough broke his thoughts, before he let out a wheezy purr. "I'm so thankful for the life I have had with you, Sleetstep. I'm so sorry I couldn't save us." With that, the tom let his head fall, closing his eyes and taking in one last deep breath, he fell still beside his mate.

Snailwhisker / Medicine Cat / Leader's Den / Puddlepaw Snailwhisker could do nothing but gape in astonishment as the massive ancient tree, which had done nothing but protect BlazeClan for seasons, came crashing down, right in front of the apprentices' and elders' dens. Almost immediately, the air filled with panicked and pained screeches. He remained frozen as he saw desperate mothers run to the apprentice's den to save their kits. It was as if StarClan's wrath had unleashed upon the helpless camp, punishing them for some wrongdoing that they had no idea of. The sound of Puddlepaw's plaintive mew finally broke him from his terrified stupor, and he took a deep breath, forcing himself to stay calm. He was the mentor, after all. If they both shut down, they were doomed. He strode forward and fastened his teeth in the young tom's scruff, practically hauling him down the slope and across the camp clearing. The smoke and cinders from the tree were rising now, casting a blood-red glow across the doomed camp. Snailwhisker flinched at the cries of his clanmates begging for help, forcing himself to move on. It went against everything he knew as a medicine cat, but he had to get Puddlepaw out of there. StarClan had sent the young tom this dream, mere moments before it happened, for a reason. If any cat would be able to save them, it was him. "Don't look back." He mewed through muffled fur.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Ashwing & Warriors / Deputy / Warrior's Den Ashwing's heart lurched as Blizzardstar relayed the details of Puddlepaw's dream to her. She had had a feeling that something was wrong that night, but she didn't think it was as serious as this. She nodded her assent to Blizzardstar, wasting no time in speaking. She stood up from the nest, and turned to the rest of the den. "BlazeClan, wake up!" She yowled. "There's a danger in the camp! We need to get out now!" As she raised the alarm, an earsplitting crack sounded outside the den, followed by the sound of a resounding crash. She didn't even need to turn to see what was going on. The smell of smoke and flames filled the camp almost instantly. "Hurry!" She screeched, terror filling her wide eyes.
"What's happening, Ashwing?" The rumbling mew came from Barktail, who had just risen from his paws. Several other warriors were stirring, still shaking off sleep from the deepest part of the night. It was the worst time for a catastrophe. "Out! Everyone out, now!" Ashwing ordered, turning to the entrance herself, when another crack of lightning sent another flaming tree careening to the ground. At the same moment, Ashwing spotted the tree blocking the apprentice's den. At that moment, the only thought on her mind were her kits, and she pelted towards the den entrance as fast as she could. "Perchpaw...Bravepaw...Scratchpaw....Someone save them!" She choked out, exiting the den just in time as the tree hit the ground, crushing her beneath. She died instantly, the last thought on her mind her precious kits.
Yowls of alarm and distress sounded in the warrior's den as cats scrabbled to the entrance as flames began to overtake the den. Barktail threw himself at the tree, clawing ferociously at the base of the trunk. Splinters of bark showered the den as he worked furiously to try and create a hole, as the flames drew perilously closer. Finally, he made a big enough hole and plunged his head through the hole in attempt to widen it for other cats, but as soon as he did, his body grew limp, too weak from exertion and smoke inhalation. He died right there in the gap, the flames consuming his body quickly.
The warriors screeched in terror now, backing away to the back of the den. Some tried scraping at the back of the den in desperation, but it was no use. It was solid stone. One by one they fell, until the den was silent.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Eagleheart, Brightfall, Blossomkit / Warrior, Queen, Kit / Nursery / Sorrelflame, Morningstrike, Splashkit Eagleheart could see that Morningstrike was serious. The newborns needed to make it out. "I'd better see you outside. You and the kits." He growled, eyes full of love at the life they had shared together. From tiny kits, to apprentices - when he had helped her through her failing sight - to becoming warriors, and eventually mates. A lump of fear for his family grew in his throat, but he pushed it away, taking Rimekit and barreling out of the nursery and into the camp clearing. The tiny kit mewled pitifully at being taken from his mother and flinched at the acrid air against his defenseless newborn skin. Outside was bedlam, and Eagleheart didn't even have time to take in the chaos. He knew the kits needed to be taken to safety. He immediately raced for the camp entrance as fast as he could, ensuring that the kit didn't swing in his grasp. He hoped that Sorrelflame was right behind him with Fawnkit.
The moment Brightfall heard what was happening, the new mother passed Fawnkit over to her mate. "Get her out, now. I promise, I'll be right behind you. Go!" She mewed, her mew fierce in fear for her new children. She practically pushed Sorrelflame out of the den as much as she could, but as soon as she did, she collapsed onto the nest once more, chest heaving. The exertion of the kitting had simply been too much for her. She couldn't move, and now that Sorrelflame was out, she could say it. "I'm not...going to make it...Morningstrike..." She gasped. "I can't...move...take...the kits...and get out...while you still can!"
Even Blossomkit looked subdued for once, looking between her mother and Brightfall with wide, scared eyes, and pressing closer to her brother. "Morningstrike? Is it safe to go now?" She mewed tentatively, looking nervously at the nursery entrance. Then, her fur bushed out and she let out a screech of terror as a second tree fell right in front of the den, preventing their escape. The nursery, lined with moss and feathers to keep it especially warm, quickly set ablaze quicker than any other dens, and suffocating smoke quickly filled the den. The fortress-like nursery had become a prison. "Mother!...Splashkit...Brightfall...!" Blossomkit coughed, eyes watering as she looked around the haze-filled den. Brightfall lay limp, seemingly peacefully accepting her end now that she knew her mate and kits had made it out. She could barely make out the figures of her mother and brother. Weakly, the young kit sank to her knees. Her eyes closed, and she desperately opened her mouth, trying to scent her precious family members one last time. Her mouth didn't close.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Volepaw, Scratchpaw, Hornetpaw / Apprentices / Apprentice's Den Volepaw let out a screech of alarm as their den was sealed off by the wall of flames and branches. "Perchpaw, no, don't!" He choked out as smoke filled his lungs, but it was too late. The impulsive young tom had already thrown himself at the flames, desperate to claw his way out. It didn't work. Desperately, the older apprentice thrust the others behind him.
"Perchpaw! Perchpaw, no!" Every fiber of Scratchpaw's heart tore apart in pain as his kindred brother fell to the flames. "No Perchpaw I'm sorry I'm so sorry I didn't mean it!" He cried, his screech becoming a wail of heartbreak as he realized that his last conversation with his beloved brother had been an argument. "I didn't mean it Perchpaw, please come back!" He nosed his brother tenderly, nose pressing against his heart as if trying to use his touch to bring his brother back to him. Of course, it didn't work. Movement beside him alerted him to Bravepaw's collapse, and he whirled around, fur bristling in abject terror. "Bravepaw! No no no you can't! I won't let you! Perchpaw's gone, so I'm your only brother! I need to protect you!" He ignored the smoke that filled his throat, his wails becoming harsher. "Bravepaw don't leave me alone! You can't leave me! I'll do the elders' ticks for a moon, no, a season! And...and I'll clean out the bedding! I'll do all the boring tasks, and you can do all the patrols and training! So just please...stay with me, Bravepaw!" He begged. Then, she grew still, and the apprentice, his heart torn in three, threw back his head and screamed...and screamed...and screamed...Even as his throat ripped to shreds and blood trickled down his jaws. Then finally, he was silent.
There was no bravado left in Hornetpaw as she bundled beside Sunpaw in the back of the den, desperately licking her sister, trying to cool her down. "You'll be okay, you'll be okay." She kept telling her, but she knew that she was also telling herself, because she was terrified of what was to come. Yet even in the darkest moment, her first priority was her sister. "We'll be fine, Sunpaw, just hang in there...just hang in...just...." Her muzzle gently rested against her sister's flank. Her last breath, at nearly the same moment.
The last apprentice left standing was Volepaw, who had shielded his remaining denmates from the relentless flames the best he could. He stumbled now, his back alight with burns. "Birdwhisper....I'm sorry...I couldn't become the warrior you wanted me to...Puddlepaw...brother...I'm so glad...you became a medicine cat...you're not trapped in here...with me now...become...the best...medicine cat...for both of us...brother..." With no denmates left alive to protect the tom finally fell motionless. His last thought, of relief, that his mother and brother were safe. Maybe in StarClan...he would finally meet his father...
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Ryecloud / Warrior / Camp Clearing "No!" The single, drawn out wail emanated from the stricken mother as she pelted towards the apprentice's den, with no regard to her own safety. In furious desperation, she plunged her forepaws into the mass of burning branches, ignoring the searing burns as she tried to claw her way into the apprentice's den. "Hornetpaw! Sunpaw! I'm coming right now, okay!" From the depths of the den, she could hear Sunpaw, her precious kit, calling out for her. Hornetpaw, trying to comfort her. She had already lost Runningfire. She would not lose these two as well! "Just a little bit longer, you two! Just a little bit longer!" She cried. Her paws were melting now, but her only thoughts were on the mews of her kits, and when they finally grew ominously silent, she stopped. As if something inside her had just broken completely. She gently rested her muzzle above her smoldering paws, and closed her eyes. I won't leave them, ever. If you're going to take them, StarClan, then take me too. Was her last thought before the rest of her body was consumed in the inferno.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Dawnpaw & Shellflame / Apprentice, Warrior / Camp Clearing Dawnpaw let out a yowl of terror as the tree came crashing down in front of the apprentice's den, missing her by mere pawlengths. Splinters showered into her fur, and she turned her face away to protect her eyes. When she looked back, she saw that the tree was on fire, and her heart froze. "No!" She yowled, prepared to launch herself towards her denmates, when teeth fastened in her scruff and dragged her back. "Are you mouse-brained? There's nothing you can do!" Shellflame yowled, finally letting go. "Get out of camp! We need to go now!" Her brother said, his eyes wide in alarm. "I'm not leaving without them! I can't let them all die!" Dawnpaw screeched, trying to dodge around him, but in her heart, she knew. There was no way she was getting through that trunk. Her heart as heavy as a rock, she turned away and pelted for the camp entrance, tears falling freely from her eyes for her doomed denmates.
Shellflame made sure that his sister was out, when another crack of lightning sent a second tree falling, this time in front of the warrior's den and nursery. No! He thought as he raced towards the den. Guilt and fear flooded his pelt as he realized what he had said before. That Darkstream was safe and comfortable in the den while he was on watch. He had doomed them. All of them. He had to hel them get out! Right before he made it to the den, the tree hit the ground. He dodged sideways, narrowly dodging the trunk, but the mass of flaming branches showered down upon him. He only had time to utter a single cry before thr branches covered him. There was no way for him to escape the tangle of flaming debris. He struggled a few moments, then grew limp.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Sleetstep and Foxhowl / Elders / Elders Den Sleetstep could only watch on helplessly as Smokewatcher and Silentstrike perished before her eyes, the smoke filling the Elder's Den. Foxhowl was still unmoving, but with a rock-still silence that went beyond sleep. The elderly tom had passed away the moment the smoke had entered his nostrils, from the very first impact. The old tom had died peacefully, safe from the terror that gripped his clan. His last thoughts had been dreams of happier times, and his next thoughts would be alongside his warrior ancestors, and a mate with whom he had been separated from for over 60 moons.
With all three elders fallen, Sleetstep turned to look at Patchhollow, a fierce love burning in her gaze as she ignored the burns on her pelt. "Patchhollow...Not a day goes by that I don't count myself one of the luckiest cats in the Clan for choosing to be with you. I may have only three legs, but you make me a whole cat every day. If I could give up three lives so you would be outside that den, living on, then I would. But I only have one, and I'm glad that I spent as much of it as I could with you." She twined her tail with his, her raspy breath managing a single purr. "This isn't the end, my love. I'll see you soon, in StarClan. Nothing will keep us apart." Then, her mew grew soft, and the purr ended.

[Puddlepaw] [Medicine Cat Apprentice]-[Outside Camp]-[Snailwhisker & Blizzardstar]
Teeth grabbing ahold of his scruff and dragging him down the rocks and towards the camp entrance, Puddlepaw hung limply, letting himself be dragged by his mentor. His ice-blue eyes were glazed over in horror, as he heard the screams and cries of his clanmates. Some desperate. Some pain filled. Some angry. Some accepting. His heart broke in two as he stared at the flaming branches that trapped his brother in the apprentices den. He barely spotted his mother, Birdwhisper, scrambling amongst the flames, begging Starclan to save Volepaw. He ripped himself from his mentors grasp, blinking the pain and grief from his eyes. On shaky paws, he dove for the familiar silver tabby. He had to get his mother out. He had to save her. As he dove forwards, another tree crashed down towards the camp clearing, straight towards the cats in the clearing. He let out an angry screech as teeth grasped his shoulder and pulled him back towards the camp entrance where Snailwhisker had been taking him. "BIRDWHISPER! No. No..NO!" He watched in horror as his mother was flattened beneath the falling tree that now trapped the warriors and queens. Frozen in place, the tom barely reacted as he was nudged roughly from the camp. The thick scent of Blizzardstar filled his nose as he realized that she was the one to drag him away from the clearing. She'd saved him, but at the moment, he didn't want to be saved. Turning on not only his leader, he also turned on his mentor. The screeches and screams of his clanmates had started to fade, telling him that most of them were now on their way to Starclan. Ears flattened tight to his head and eyes flashing as cold as ice, he snarled at his clanmates. "You should have let me die. Die with my family. Everyone is gone. Everything is gone.." His anger quickly ended and he sunk to the ground, right outside the camp walls. Heartbreaking whimpers escaped from the young tom as he buried his face amongst his paws. His lungs hurt, his head hurt, his heart hurt. What was the use of Starclan sending him the dream, if almost everyone was dead.
[Blizzardstar] [Leader]--[Outside Camp]--[Snailwhisker & Puddlepaw]
Blizzardstar scrambled amongst the other warriors, trying to help them unbury the apprentices. Her heart ached as she watched Ryecloud, Birdwhisper and Waspstem fight the flaming branches, not even caring that they were burning. She could hear her sister, Icetuft, scrambling to get their sister, Sleetstep out of the elders den. She flattened her ears sadly as the dens fell into an eerie silence, and she knew..they were on their way to Starclan. The apprentices and Elders had not made it. Her eyes watered and she let out a meow of protest as Ryecloud crouched amongst the flames, giving her life away to the fire. The white molly, now ashy grey from the smoke that consumed her clan, looked around in desperation at her clanmates. She watched Eagleheart dive from the Nursery with they tiniest scrap of fur, dangling from his jaws. Followed by Sorrelflame with another. Brightfall must have had her kits. She turned quickly, watching as Snailwhisker practically dragged a limp and helpless Puddlepaw from the camp. Relief washed over her as she watched Dawnpaw be blocked out of camp by her brother, Shellflame. Her mind drifted to the fact that she had seen Moonseeker dip out of camp earlier that night. She couldn't help but feel relieved that some of her clan had escaped the fire and smoke-filled death that the rest of the clan had succumb to. As she was about to order the remaining warriors out of the camp, to break their defeat to them, another crack sounded above them. She hardly had time to think as she watched Puddlepaw diving for his mother, as the tree started crashing down onto the warriors in the camp clearing. Barreling the young tom over, she grabbed his shoulder in her teeth and dragged him towards the camp entrance, flattening her ears tightly against her head as she heard the tree crash to the ground. Her heart dropped to her stomach, knowing her clanmates were dead now. She could hear the cries of the warriors now trapped in the warriors den and nursery, which feel silent not soon after. Shoving Puddlepaw out of the camp, she joined Snailwhisker. The leader flinched away with wide blue eyes as Puddlepaw turned on them, snarling, before sinking to his paws. Whimpers escaped him and she gently gave him a lick over the ears before calling for Dawnpaw. "Dawnpaw. Dawnpaw! I know you're out here..Come stay with Puddlepaw. Please. I need to go back into camp and see if I can find any survivors." She turned her eyes to her friend and medicine cat, tail lashing uneasily. "Would you like to stay here.? Or come with me.?" She knew better than to demand he stay behind. Snailwhisker would just follow her in. Now that their apprentices were safe, he'd want to make sure he left no cat alive and injured behind.
[Sorrelflame] [Warrior]-[Nursery]-[Eagleheart][Rimekit & Fawnkit]-
At his mates request, with the most pained and hesitant look in his green eyes, the tom gently grabbed his daughter. He huffed slightly as Brightfall pushed him into the camp clearing, causing him to stumble. Immediately, his ears pricked and his eyes watered at the chaos and smoke in the camp. His heart racing, the tom booked it after Eagleheart, mind clouded by doubt. His heart felt as if it had left his body and stayed behind in the nursery with his mate. He swiveled his ears behind him, wondering why he hadn't heard the footsteps of the two queens and Eagleheart's kits. Right before he reached the camp entrance, the massive tom whipped his head back, narrowing his eyes against the smoke, Fawnkit swinging from his jaws. He hardly heard her soft squeaks of fear and protest as he watched another flaming tree crash down and block the nursery. A horrified screech came ripping from the toms throat, causing him to drop the little bundle he had been carrying. Without thinking, the fawn and golden spotted warrior booked it back across the camp, leaping the flaming trunk with ease. He dove at the fiery branches that trapped his mate, ripping at the branches so fast and hard that his claws ripped. Not even noticing the pain, he continued to screech against the fire and smoke, his paws now bloody and burnt. Without warning, the once great warriors legs crumbled beneath him and he fell amongst the fire burning branches, eyes glazed and mouth open as if he was letting out a final screech. Within heartbeats, the flaming inferno, consumed the lifeless warrior.
[Icetuft][Waspstem][Birdwhisper] [Warriors]-[Camp clearing]-[With other warriors]
Icetuft barely had time to turn and run as a second tree came crashing among the camp, right down upon the warriors in the clearing. Closing her eyes tightly, pain scorched through the black and white molly's body and her body was half crushed by the tree. She lay sprawled out on the camp clearing, her hindquarters beneath the trunk. She rested her head on her front paws and she stared desperately at the nursery, watching Sorrelflame fight to get the queens and kits out. Opening her mouth to cry for help, nothing but a spurt of coughing came from the warrior. Blood splattered from her mouth, hitting the ground as well as covering her white paws. Within moments, her breathing became slower and harsher as she breathed in more and more smoke. Darkness started to cloud her vision and the pain that coursed along her back, stopped. Closing her eyes, Icetuft gave in and let out a final sigh, before falling still.
Staring up at the sky, blinking against the orange flames and thick black smoke, Waspstems eyes flashed as the tree above them came crashing towards the warriors trying to free the apprentices. His heart dropped as he realized that he was about to see his final moments among his clan. He could hear the faint screech of his mate and turned tail, booking it towards the pale grey molly. His eyes clouded with fear and he let out a cry, to let her know he was close. "Ashwing, I Lo.." His cry was cut short just as she came into his sight, only inches from him now, and the tree crashed down on them, crushing them beneath its branches.
Birdwhisper hardly heard her other clanmates as she crumbled down amongst the fire and smoke, calling out in between coughs for Volepaw. The apprentices den had fallen silent and whipping her head up, Birdwhisper let out a pain-filled, heart-breaking yowl. One would believe she was cursing Starclan for bringing such pain and despair to her clan. Others would believe she was merely begging Starclan to take her with her kit. She broke free of her yowls when the faint cry of Puddlepaw filled her ears. Before she could even turn her head to see her living son, darkness hit her and her final breath was taken. Killed instantly by the tree that crashed into camp.
[Morningstrike & Splashkit] [Queen]-[Nursery]-[Blossomkit]--[ Brightfall]
Splashkit let out cries of fear as they were covered in a thick and smothering smoke. He coughed, his voice rasping. "Mother..Mother what's happening..? Blossomkit. I'm here.." He felt his mother pull them close, wrapping her tail around them, and covering them with her head, as if to protect them. Speaking softly to them. He shoved his nose against his sisters flank, whimpering as she fell still beside him. Within seconds of his sister becoming lifeless, the tiny tom fell still and silent beside her. The last thing he heard and smelled, was his sisters fur and his mothers voice.
Watching her friend crumble beside her, the queen opened her mouth to protest. It quickly clamped shut as Blossomkit tumbled against her as branches poked into the nursery, blocking their way out. Flames raged around them and smoke so thick, she could hardly breathe. She blinked back the stinging that filled her eyes, glancing at Brightfall to see her still and peaceful. Her heart ached as she listened to her kits cries. She wrapped her bushy tail around Blossomkit, pulling her up to her and Splashkit. She wheezed against the smoke, bringing her muzzle and resting it on her two children as she felt them crumble against her. "I'm here, My loves...I..I'm right here..J..Ju..Just go to sleep..Jus..Just close yo..Your eyes..We will be sa..Safe soon. I..I lov.." Before she could finish the words, she took a final breath, her body shuddering and then fell still, dying with her kits.
[Moonseeker] [Warrior]--[Camp]--[Rimekit][Eagleheart & Fawnkit]
Bursting through the trees, Moonseeker dove down the slope that led straight for the camp. She dove into the camp, skidding to the halt at the sight that her gaze fell upon. Two trees had crashed into the clearing and trapped every den but the leaders den and medicine cats den. She couldn't hear a sound and could just make out glimpses of her clanmates bodies, buried underneath the trunk of one of the trees. Flames were coming from every corner of the camp and thick black smoke billowed into the night sky. Where was the rain now.? When her clan needed it most. Her heart aches and her head dropped as she turned to head back out of camp. Was she the only one left.? Suddenly, a meowling caused her to prick her ears. 'Was that a kit.?' Her paws brushed fur and she dipped her head, picking up a small bundle of fur. A newborn kit by the sound of it. And it smelled of Sorrelflame and Brightfall. 'She must have had her kits. But where are her parents.?' She slipped from the camp, ears flattened and eyes full of sadness. Stopping short, she spotted Snailwhisker and Blizzardstar and near them was Dawnpaw and Puddlepaw. Slipping closer, she scented Eagleheart. Heart racing, the white and silver tinged molly bounded towards the senior warrior. She spotted him with a kit and gave him a questioning look, tail lifting with hope. "Where's Brightfall.? Is she with you.? And Sorrelflame.?" She looked around for her sister and her sisters mate, heart racing. "Please tell me they made it out too..Before the nursery was blocked.?" Unaware that the tom had no idea that another tree had fallen, not to mention had trapped his mate and kits within the nursery.

Snailwhisker / Medicine Cat / Camp Entrance / Puddlepaw, Blizzardstar Snailwhisker didn't speak until Puddlepaw was securely out of camp. Finally, he turned towards him. His gaze was full of pain, but it also held desperation, desperation for Puddlepaw to understand. "You of all cats need to survive, Puddlepaw! StarClan sent you that dream for a reason, and you need to figure out what it means, for the whole Clan's sake." He hoped that even if his apprentice ignored him now, he would take his words to heart eventually. At Blizzardstar's mew, he turned to her and nodded curtly. "We need to save every last cat we can. And I'll need the cobwebs and comfrey in my den for the burns." Without another word, the tom turned and raced back into the clearing. After all, lives were at stake, and he didn't know who was still alive, or how badly they were injured.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Dawnpaw / Apprentice / Camp Entrance / Puddlepaw, Blizzardstar, Snailwhisker, Moonseeker, Eagleheart After seeing no cats emerge from the ruined camp for a while, Dawnpaw had been half-ready to charge back in hersel,f until she finally saw Blizzardstar and Snailwhisker emerge, pulling Puddlepaw along with them. All three cats were covered in soot and minor burns, but were relatively unharmed. "You're okay!" She mewed, racing over to join them. "I was beginning to think...no cat made it..." Her mew trailed off as she saw Eagleheart carrying a kit, and Moonseeker soon joining them. Like the rest of the Clan, she didn't know yet that Brightfall had kitted. Then, a lump rose in her throat. "Sorrelflame..." Her brother hadn't made it out yet. She was ready to go and look for him herself, until Blizzardstar asked her to stay with Puddlepaw. She glanced over at the tom, and saw how distraught he looked. If no cat kept an eye on him, he was likely to charge back in himself. Finally, she nodded tersely. "Please, find Sorrelflame." She rasped, pressing her side against Puddlepaw's comfortingly.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Eagleheart / Warrior / Camp Entrance / Moonseeker, Blizzardstar, Rimekit, Fawnkit Eagleheart's breath came in rasps as he finally emerged from the burning camp, exhausted from the desperate scramble, all while protecting a defenseless kit from the raging elements. His heart lightened slightly when he spotted Blizzardstar had made it out, alongside Snailwhisker, Dawnpaw, and Puddlepaw. He stopped a few tail-lengths away to catch his breath, and Rimekit, still in his grasp, let out a pitiful mew, squirming around. He knew he couldn't just set the kit down on the cold forest floor, so he laid it carefully on his front paws, which he hoped were soft enough to cushion it for the time being. The kit continued to mewl, as it was still hungry. After all, it had only gotten to feed a short amount before tragedy removed it from its mother. Eagleheart gave the kit a comforting lick on the head. This was a problem he couldn't help with. The kit just had to hang in there.
The sound of movement behind him signaled the arrival of another cat, and he turned just in time to see a familiar white-pelted warrior emerge from the undergrowth. "Moonseeker!" He exclaimed. "You made it out!" Then he remembered that Moonseeker had been out hunting; a chance decision that had likely saved her life. Then, his mouth opened slightly as he noticed that it was Moonseeker, not Sorrelflame, who was carrying Fawnkit. "But where's Sorrelflame? He was right behind me...?" He mewed quizically, until his blood ran cold at her next words. The nursery was blocked. Now, horrifically, Sorrelflame's disappearance made sense. Morningstrike. His mate and kits had been in the nursery, too. A wave of pain and anger hit the tom so hard he shifted as if to stand up, and the kit resting on his paws squeaked in response. Forcing himself to stay calm, he resumed sitting. He was in no position to make rash decisions. "Brightfall, Morningstrike, and my kits were in the nursery." He informed Moonseeker. "They were supposed to be right behind us." He wanted to run into camp and find his family, but he knew that would only lead to his doom. He turned to Blizzardstar as she hastened to reenter the camp. "Please, Morningstrike. Blossomkit and Splashkit. Save my family." He croaked.

[Puddlepaw] [Medicine Cat Apprentice]-[Outside Camp]-[Snailwhisker & Blizzardstar]
The little spotted tom seemed unable to comprehend what his mentor said as he stared at him with blank blue eyes. He heard the words, but his mind could only process that his mother and brother were dead. His eyes clouded as the scene of his mother being crushed by the tree, replayed over and over again. He flinched slightly as Dawnpaw's scent filled around him and her side pressed against his. For a moment, he flattened his ears and hissed at the pretty tortoiseshell and ginger spotted molly. He quickly looked away, ashamed that he had lashed out at her. His heart ached as he heard her ask about her brother. He'd seen the tree not only crush his mother, but Shellflame as well. Staring at his paws, he spoke in a whisper, thick with grief. "Dawnpaw..I..I'm so sorry..B..But a second tree fell..It...cru..crushed Shellflame..He was trying to get to the warriors den. The flaming branches had buried him..As it blocked the warriors and queens." His blue eyes snapped clear as he looked around at the cats in front of him. Blizzardstar was charging after his mentor, back into the camp. Eagleheart sat by Moonseeker, two kits sitting between their paws. Then there was him and Dawnpaw. Was this all that had made it.? Had everyone else perished so quickly to the burning trees. His heart throbbed for his bruised and burnt clanmates, all covered in soot and looking ruffled. He stared at Eagleheart, knowing painfully well that the chances his mate and kits were alive, was slim. Sadness shook the apprentice as a low moan of grief rumbled deep within his chest.
[Blizzardstar] [Leader]--[Outside Camp]--[Snailwhisker & Puddlepaw]
Looking around her ruffled and hurt clanmates, Blizzardstar gave brief nods to their question of their families. Her gaze locked with Eagleheart's as one of her most trusted companions asked about Morningstrike and their two kits. She gave a reassuring, but sad purr to the small group. "I will do my best. Eagleheart, please watch over everyone until I can return. You're the most senior cat here, and they need someone to be strong for them." She dipped her head in a quick farewell, not knowing how long it would take them to scope out the clan. Turning swiftly, her long and bushy tail flicking Dawnpaw once more, before charging into the hollow after her medicine cat. Her heart immediately sank as she still saw smoke and flames consuming the camp. The two trees in camp, burning up. She could hardly see, the camp thick with black smoke. Coughing, she trailed towards the medicine cats den, ears flattened to her head. She had to leap across the burning trees, to get across the clearing to the medicine cats den. As she leapt over the second tree, her paws brushed fur. Looking down, her gaze sought out who she had touched and if they were alive. At first, she hardly recognized the cat that was trapped beneath the tree, covered in so much soot, they were black. Blood was spattered across their paws and the camp clearing. She stared intently at the shape of the face, her legs beginning to shake as she recognized her sister, Icetuft. Pain ripped through the white molly as she threw back her head and let out a loud and angry screech, so full of grief and sadness, not only for her sisters, but for her entire clan. She dragged herself towards the nursery, stumbling on unsteady paws, knowing she wouldn't find any survivors. The camp was silent now, not a single sound came from the dens around her. All that could be heard, was the crackling of the fires burning. She stared in sadness, at the burnt and lifeless body of Sorrelflame, mouth gaped open and claws out. The tom had clearly been fighting to save his mate, trapped behind the branches covering the nursery. He'd been a loyal warrior and mate, fighting to his very death. She could see slightly into the nursery now, as the branches and leaves had been eaten enough by the fire to show a gap. Inside she spotted Brightfall, curled up, but lifeless. The queen looked as if she had died peacefully, as if she had been sleeping. Beside her was Morningstrike, her black and white head resting on top of her two kits. All three had seen the last of this clan and were on their way to Starclan. Turning, she padded slowly into the medicine cats den, looking for Snailwhisker. Her head was down and her tail dragged behind her. The normally white molly was a dark grayish/black now. Her fur smothered in the soot that fell into the camp. She wanted to just go to wake up, and this all had been a horrible nightmare. A loud sigh broke from her, as she sat down with a heavy 'Thump'. "Everyone is dead, Snailwhisker..How could Starclan have taken so many.?"
[Moonseeker] [Warrior]--[Camp]--[Rimekit][Eagleheart & Fawnkit]
Hanging her head in a dreadful silence, Moonseeker listened to her clanmates speak around her. She had set the tiny Fawnkit on her paws, just as Eagleheart had with Rimekit. Her heart ached as she listened to Eagleheart speak of his family. "Eagleheart..I..I didn't see anyone else. I only found this kit near the camp entrance. Thats as far as I made it. I didn't hear anyone else either. I..I'm sorry, but I believe everyone else..Is..Is..Is.." The word dead, caught in her throat and she couldn't force it out. She just flattened her black rimmed ears, her violet eyes wide and full of sadness. Her sister had been in that camp, and she knew deep in her heart that Brightfall was gone. All that was left of her sister, was the two kits that sat on the paws of the two warriors. She leaned down to breathe in the scent of the little ginger and gold spotted kit before her, catching a strong scent of Brightfall still. Her heart soared for a moment, as she closed her eyes and imagined her sister sitting beside her. "Wh..What are their names..?" She pointed to the two kits as she spoke, her eyes flashing open and looking from the kit on her paws, to the meowling creamy white and ginger tom sitting on Eagleheart's paws. She knew that her sister surely had named them before she had been separated from the two newborns. Worry filled her as she wondered how they would feed the two kits. They had to be starving, ripped away from Brightfall right after being born.

Dawnpaw & Eagleheart / Apprentice / Outside Camp / Puddlepaw & Moonseeker Dawnpaw paused for a second, as if she couldn't understand what Puddlepaw had just told her. She then threw her head back and let out a long, low wail of grief. She had been so close to joining him as a warrior. Now he was gone. She buried her face in her paws, the warmth shared by Puddlepaw her only comfort. Even though she had spent her entire life surrounded by clanmates, at that moment, she felt isolated. She didn't dare to speak. She didn't know what she would say.
Eagleheart could only nod numbly in response to Blizzardstar. He knew that he was needed here, to keep the remaining cats together. He could only trust Blizzardstar - his leader and former mentor - to do what she could. Overwhelming pain filled her chest at the thought of Morningstrike laying helplessly in the nursery...and his poor, precious kits...the blackness of grief threatened to overwhelm him, pressing down on his head and forcing him into the ground. It was Moonseeker's question that finally tore him from his internal drowning, and he looked up, eyes weary and full of pain. "The tom here is Rimekit." He meowed, motioning towards the kit on his paws. "The she-kit is Fawnkit." He gestured towards the kit on Moonseeker's paws.

Snailwhisker / Medicine Cat / Medicine Den / Blizzardstar Snailwhisker was silent as he looked over the devastation around the camp. His eyes were full of anguish as he thought of a Clan he had been helpless to save. It was his only duty as a medicine cat. How could he have failed this miserably? Despite his painful thoughts, his mew was clear as he responded, "Some things even StarClan can't control." His only kin was his brother Runningfire, who was gone. It was painful enough without thinking of what the cats who had lost kin were experiencing. "StarClan sent that dream to Puddlepaw for a reason." He continued, absolute certainty in his voice. "This can't be the end for us." There was warmth and pride in his voice as he spoke of his apprentice, and the absolute trust he had in him. "We need that comfrey, and I need your help carrying back as much as we can." He prompted gently, leading the way to the medicine den. As soon as the two cats were in the den, he was struck with a horrible feeling of dread, but before he could even mew to Blizzardstar, a third, heart-stopping crash sounded behind them as the third and final tree came crashing to its end...and blocking the medicine den.

[Blizzardstar] [Leader]--[Medicine cats den]--[Snailwhisker]
Listening to her medicine cats words, the defeated leader followed Snailwhisker into his den. She would do anything to help him and her remaining clanmates, but her heart still ached. As they slipped into the den, smelling thickly of herbs, the final tree fell and blocked them into the den. Letting out a startled yelp, Blizzardstar jumped out of the way just in time as flaming branches jabbed into the den they were in. Her fur bristled with fear and her eyes widened in complete shock. Fear sparked through her as she turned to look at the black and white tom beside her. She opened her mouth to speak, but was met by thick smoke, smacking her in the face. Breathing in the billows of smoke sent the leader into a hacking fit so hard, she couldn't catch her breath. She crouched low, eyes watering and chest aching as she struggled to breathe. Ears flattening tight against her head, fear filled the white molly as the coughing subsided. Her body willed her to breathe and the molly took a deep breath, shaking. Soon finding out that was a huge mistake. As she breathed in, she filled her lungs with another mouthful of smoke. Clogging up her lungs, she went right into another horrible fit of coughing and wheezing, unable to breathe. Feeling as if she hadn't had a breath of air in quite a few moments, the leader was aware of death being close to her. Her vision was starting to sparkle with darkness and she felt her legs cave in. She thumped onto her side, close to the flaming branches. Eyes rolling into her head, claws digging into the ground, she tried unsuccessful to catch her breath. With a final shudder of her body, Blizzardstar fell completely still. She lay limp as she lost a life, fire starting to prick at her flank. Sparks of fire dappled her flank and smoke circled her as she gasped awake. Pain scorched through the molly as she rolled, trying to extinguish the flames that had burned her flank, leaving gashes of red and oozing wounds in their wake. She crawled towards Snailwhisker, eyes begging her friend to help her. She could feel her lungs already screaming in pain, as well as the pain from her burns, causing her heart to clench. Sinking beside Snailwhisker, she coughed, blood starting to spray from her mouth with each cough. Pain glazed her eyes, making them look almost grey instead of blue. She opened her mouth to speak to the tom beside her, but before she could get a word out, her body fell limp as darkness crashed over her. Another life was leaving her body. As she gasped awake, one last time, her gaze cleared and she stared intently at Snailwhisker. "Snailwhisker..I..I just want you to know..I couldn't have had a better medicine cat to stand by me and help me lead this clan.." She paused to take in a shuddery breath, her whole body shaking from pain and exhaustion. "This is my final life, and I know I'm going to die again. I'm sorry I brought you back in here with me. I should have left you to stay with Puddlepaw and our clanmates. I'm sorry I have failed you, My friend."

Snailwhisker / Medicine Cat / Medicine Den / Blizzardstar Snailwhisker could only watch helplessly as Blizzardstar slowly succumbed to the flames and smoke. Here they were, surrounded by healing herbs, but no amount of cobwebs or comfrey would heal Blizzardstar in time. Ignoring his own searing pelt, the tom stumbled towards the medicine store, and scattered the last of his poppy seeds across the floor towards her, hoping that he could at least dull the pain as she went to StarClan. "Blizzardstar..." He coughed harshly as he felt the darkness of asphyxiation overwhelm him. Even so, he forged on. "I'm sorry I couldn't save you. I couldn't save anyone. But you...you saved us all. You brought light into this clan from the day you were born. I couldn't be more honored to serve aside you. You're a true leader through and through." Feeling the last vestiges of life slipping away from him, he licked her cheek affectionately. The two were no longer leader and medicine cat, but two friends who had spent many years at each other's side. "Goodbye, my friend. I'll see you in Silverpelt."
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Eagleheart / Warrior / Outside Camp Eagleheart's ears flattened as he heard the thunderous crash in the camp. "Oh no..." He breathed. He didn't want to believe it, but he knew what had happened. Another tree had fallen. And a part of him told him it had taken his leader and mentor from him. The tom wanted to wail like a kit, but he couldn't. Even though his heart felt like a fox had clawed it out, he had to remain strong for the younger cats, or they would break apart. The mewling of the kit at his paws, slowly growing frailer, alerted him to an even bigger issue. "We need to find shelter." He meowed, mind racing. "These little kits will be gone before sunrise if they aren't warmed."

[Puddlepaw] [Medicine Cat Apprentice]-[Outside Camp]-[Eagleheart, Dawnpaw & Rimekit][Moonseeker & Fawnkit]
A hiss of protest escaped from Puddlepaw at Eagleheart's words. The little apprentice flattened his ears and glared at the senior warrior with cold, Ice-blue eyes. How dare he suggest they leave their leader and medicine cat behind. They had all heard the tree fall, but the tom refused to believe that his mentor and leader had fallen with that last tree. "How dare you suggest that we leave Blizzardstar and Snailwhisker. They could still be alive. I'm not leaving until I know." With that, the medicine cat apprentice stood and started towards the camp entrance. His long tail lashed behind him angrily. He pushed his way through the camp entrance, stopping short at the sight before him. You couldn't even make out that the hollow had once been a camp. Every den, but the leaders den, was buried behind flaming branches. Three tree trunks had crisscrossed along the camp clearing. You could start to see inside the dens, as rain started to pour onto the flames. Black smoke rolled into the sky. As if Starclan themselves was crying for the devastation of Blazeclan, it started to pour. Puddlepaw flattened his ears, knowing deep in his heart that Blizzardstar and Snailwhisker were gone. He could almost feel the spirits of his clanmates surrounding him, smothering him. Their voices filling his ears as they joined together and took their final steps to Starclan. A soft whimper escaped him as he turned tail and fled out of the camp. He burst out of the camp, panting, fur spiked and wet. He hung his head low, ears tight to his head and tail dragging. Puddlepaw listened to the weak cries of the kits as rain pelted them. Defeat filled him and he didn't speak as he forced his paws to drag him forwards, jerking his head in a signal for Eagleheart to lead them. He didn't speak, didn't look at anyone, just..Padded on slowly.
[Moonseeker] [Warrior]--[Outside Camp]--[Eagleheart, Dawnpaw & Rimekit][Puddlepaw & Fawnkit]
Flinching as the final tree crashed into the camp, Moonseeker closed her eyes and sent a final prayer to Starclan. 'Please watch over us and keep us safe. We are all that's left of Blazeclan now. We need you to guide us. I will miss you, My dear clanmates.' She stared after Puddlepaw in shock as the apprentice lashed out at Eagleheart and lef tthe group to enter the camp. She didn't follow, knowing the tom needed to see the fall of their Leader and his mentor, for himself. She waited patiently, nuzzling close to the little ginger and golden spotted she-kit that meowled weakly. She did her best to shield her sisters kit as rain started pouring from the sky, pelting the cats angrily. She flicked her ears as water rolled down her face. Her heart sank as she looked up at Eagleheart, a question filling her violet eyes. What were they going to do now. Glancing over, she spotted Puddlepaw bursting from the camp, before dropping his head and tail and forcing himself forwards. Moonseeker gave a sad sigh, knowing the little tom was confirming their suspicions. Blizzardstar and Snailwhisker had joined Starclan with the rest of their clanmates. Gently, she leaned down and picked up Fawnkit by her scruff, holding her head down. She wanted to shield the kit the best she could, worry filling her as rain rolled down her face towards the kit. She padded after Puddlepaw, letting her tail urge Eagleheart and Dawnpaw to follow.
[Blizzardstar] [Leader]--[Medicine cat's Den]--[Snailwhisker]
Refusing to take the poppyseeds, Blizzardstar was determined to end her life the same way not only her friend was, but every one of her clanmates had. Not one of them had their pain eased away, and neither would she. The white molly let out a scratchy purr and nuzzled up close to the black and white tom. She let her head rest on his paws, tail resting over the medicine cats back. Her breathing slowed as she thought of every single one of her clanmates. She prayed to Starclan that they would still be able to guide the surviving cats in the journey they had ahead. With a final breath, she pushed out one last purr and fell still, her final breath ripped away from her. She died more peacefully with her last life, cuddled up tight with the medicine cat that had grown with her. Accepting the fact that she was on her way to Starclan and she would see every one of her clanmates again, as well as her family.

Eagleheart / Warrior / Outside Camp For a second, Eagleheart's eyes smoldered. Did Puddlepaw think it was easy for him? His mentor had just died too. He knew however that the young cat was suffering, and did not respond, allowing the tom to go and see for himself. When the ferns next rustled, a part of him hoped to see Blizzardstar and Snailwhisker follow behind Puddlepaw, but it was not to be. The tom firmly pursed his lips and began to walk away from the ruined camp. He couldn't allow his mind to wander to Morningstrike, or the kits. If he did, he knew that the grief he was holding back would overwhelm him. Besides, he had to think about what the cats would do next. The kits couldn't be out in the rain for long. Then, a thought suddenly struck him. "Let's go to the barn." He decided. The barn was close to the territory, and would be warm and sheltered. Hopefully, they could find the kits some food as well. Rimekit had grown ominously still, the persistent mewls no longer coming from the newborn kit.
Dawnpaw / Apprentice / Outside Camp Dawnpaw trailed at the back of the group, her tail drooping as she padded slowly along. Her brother was gone. Her mentor was gone. Her Clan was gone. Where would they go now? Were they even a Clan anymore? These were the thoughts that plagued her mind as she followed behind the older cats, her head down and her gaze solemn.

[Puddlepaw] [Medicine Cat Apprentice]-[Heading towards Barn]-[Eagleheart, Dawnpaw & Rimekit][Moonseeker & Fawnkit]
Hardly hearing the eldest cat of the group, Puddlepaw just continued to trudge on. His heart ached more and more with each step he took away from his fallen clanmates. His whole body ached and his legs were stiff as he walked. The rain was washing away the soot that had covered the remaining cats, showing the true colors of their pelts. As he rounded a corner, he came nose to nose with another cat. With a startled yelp, he fell back on his hindquarters and stared at her with wide blue eyes. It took him a moment to recognize the bright orange and grey cat in front of him. Unable to speak, he just stared at her with his mouth slightly gaped open.
[Moonseeker] [Warrior]--[Heading towards barn]--[Eagleheart, Dawnpaw & Rimekit][Puddlepaw & Fawnkit]
Moonseeker nodded in agreement to Eagleheart's suggestion. Her mind quickly wondered to the warm cozy barn that was just off of clan territory. She was well aware of the fact that the barn had warmth, prey, and often barn cats. She wondered if they'd be willing to help them with the kits. Her heart saddened once more as she realized that both Rimekit and Fawnkit had grown quite and still. The only way she knew they were alive, was the small rise and fall of their flanks as they breathed. She looked up, startled as Puddlepaw let out a startled yelp and fell back. Her eyes flashed with a protective glance as she gazed at the newcomer. Her fur bristled and her ears flattened, a hiss slipped from around her hold on the tiny kit. Rain had dripped into her eyes, causing her vision to blur. She wasn't able to recognize the molly as she padded closer.
[Vixen] [Loner]--[With clan cats]--[Eagleheart, Dawnpaw & Rimekit][Moonseeker, Puddlepaw & Fawnkit]
Slipping around a bush, Vixen jumped in surprise as her nose collided with a younger cats. She blinked at him with startled green eyes, before letting her gaze sweep around the bedraggled group of cats. She dipped her head in apology to Puddlepaw, her voice soft and sweet. "Well hello there, Puddlepaw. Eagleheart, Moonseeker and..Dawnpaw, correct.?" She padded forward, weaving among the burnt and scruffily cats. Her heart ached for the group and she stopped to sniff the tiny bundles of wet fur hanging from the two warriors mouths. She blinked at the cats with sympathetic eyes, before turning gentle green eyes on Eagleheart. Flicking him gently with her long orange tail, the tall molly rumbled lightly. "I saw the fire, I was coming to help..I..I'm guessing that you little lot are the only ones to survive.?" She brushed against the large black and white tom before padding back to Puddlepaw and nudging the apprentice to his paws. She flicked her tail and rounded around to give Dawnpaw a gentle and loving lick. "Come, I'll help you. Let's get you to that barn."
