It smelled more like a mouse hole than prey but she wanted to see if he could scent the difference. Snowdapple and Coalkit with Tuliptail Snowdapple smiled at Tuliptail. "I know sometimes stuff blurs for me too. One day to the next things seem to stay the same. Is that how you feel?" She sat up and touched her tail to Tuliptail's side. Gazekit and Poppypaw with Silverpaw Gazekit nodded. "I think it would be cool to see what its like in a different clan. Even just for a day." He sighed and shook his head. He was happy where he was but he wanted to explore more. Turtlepool with Heronflight "He definitely was skittish. I didn't notice him gagging about the mouse bile and even I want to." Turtlepool said sniffing the base of her tail. "I wish Icewhisper would have sent him back with moss to clean off any residual bile." She stuck out her tongue at the smell. Wishkit with Weaselkit Wishkit laughed as Weaselkit backed away until she felt the other's grip on her tail. Her first thought was to pull it away but she only hurt herself doing that. She turned and batted at her friend's ears and the back of her head trying to make her release it. Basilwhisker with Willowfrost Basilwhisker nodded briskly. He scented the air and headed toward the spot Willowfrost had pointed out. He turned west and started to slow because he caught sight of a bird pecking at a seed. It was a robin and he stalked it down with its back towards him. He pounced and made contact. Biting its neck he swung around to smile at Willowfrost. Ivysplash Open The tom listened to the meeting and then picked his way out of camp. He wondered at what it would be like to have neighbors that followed the same guidelines as you. He sighed and started following a scent trail for a mouse. Marshkit with Maplekit and Dovewing Marshkit dipped his head to his brother in respect and backed away a little. "Go get your lives brother." He said before sitting back beside the warrior. ) |

Elmstar nodded. "I'm Haypaw's mentor so we can work out training for the two of you. He is only a moon ahead of you after all." He reached down to touch noses with Wolfkit. "You're going to have to try harder than most to do some of the basics. Just don't listen to cats like Houndear. They will doubt your abilities." Pineclaw Webwillow lay at the edge of camp watching the clan. She nibbled on a vole and wondered what to do next. She could go hunting again or maybe she could find someone to talk to. Windpaw looked around before padding to the freshkill pile. He had talked to his mentor after the clan meeting and now he wasn't sure what to do. (My starters) Not sure if anyone has some free charries.) |

Silverpaw - with Gazekit and Poppypaw
"Hm. I don't know if you should spend a day with Roseclan. We kinda need you here," Silverpaw purred, giving the kit a wink as he was mostly joking. "But yeah, just one day training with them and sharing fresh-kill in the evening sounds fun."
Heronflight - with Turtlepool
"Well, if he's immune then he won't hate it as much as the others," she meowed with a slight grin but she did wonder about that kit. Every cat hated mouse bile. The stench was awful and anyone who was unfortunate enough to accidentally lick it knew that the taste wasn't any better. She briefly glanced over to him, Icewhisper and Elmstar and narrowed her eyes. "Well, whatever it is, it seems like they're sorting it out." She didn't know what they were conversing about of course but to her it looked like Wolfkit had calmed down a little. At Turtlepool's other remark she nodded with a purr. "I'm sure she'll send someone over soon. Looks like their talk with Elmstar won't take much longer."
(I don't remember anyone ever cleaning off mouse bile from elders. Sure, the apprentices had to clean their own paws afterwards but I always assumed it was because they had much more on them than the elders. And in their case the smell would dissipate after a while, especially if they're outside of their den. Just a little unsure right now ^^)
Weaselkit - with Wishkit
Weaselkit moved fast, quickly padding after Wishkit as she turned around so she wouldn't end up pulling her tail. When her friend batted at her though she stumbled and let out a small laugh, causing her to loose her grip on the tail, enough for Wishkit to easily pull it free without hurting herself. Weaselkit took a small step back and crouched low, carefully watching Wishkit and anticipating her next move.
Wolfkit and Icewhisper - with Elmstar
Wolfkit stood up straighter at the mention of having to try harder than most and gave a determined nod. "I will, Elmstar," he meowed quietly. He did worry about being doubted by some but hopefully he could prove them wrong. "And I will try to not let whatever they say affect me." He glanced at Icewhisper and then back at Elmstar. "Will... will you tell the clan? I know my mentor needs to know, of course, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to tell the whole clan yet," he whispered, a bit nervous about what Elmstar would decide.
Icewhisper watched the kit as he spoke and then looked at Elmstar. "The clan will find out eventually. It might be better if they are told but the timing can be a bit tricky. If they know too soon he'll have to deal with their doubts and pity before he even begins his training. But if they know too late they might resent that it was kept secret for so long."

Elmstar smiled at Wolfkit. He listened to the kit's concerns and thought for a second. Then heard Icewhisper speak up too. "I don't think we have to tell them yet. Yes you're right that your mentor will need to know but I don't think the does yet." He looked at them both and nodded. "Let's give you a chance to prove yourself before they have a change to doubt you. And never listen to Houndear. He badgers everyone with his opinions but he's just wrong."

[Hello, I would like to join! I'm new in many senses, so I was wondering if I could play a loner just joining the clans and some background cats to help ease in? Sorry if I did something incorrectly.]
Loner Shortcake: 7 moons. A cream tabby cat with amber eyes. They managed to escape their twoleg's monster when they stopped and is now trying to survive using skills new to them. They try to be brave but they're quite lonely, having previously lived with several other cats, dogs, and rats in her home. They are quick to try and befriend any cat or dog they come across. They're full of energy, but lack the skill to use it efficiently. They enjoy trying new things, however, finding a as much a sense of wonder in their impromptu adventure as fear. Warrior Cloudflower: 18 moons. An all white tom with long, fluffy fur and green eyes. He looks much larger than he is due to his fur. He likes to sunbathe and get out of work when he can, not taking life too seriously. He'll make himself scarce or quiet during fights, and prefers to hang around the elders and queens. He is a good source of warmth in leaf-bare for his friends and tries to get along with others. A bit vain about his coat, which he considers his best attribute, often joking it's his only good quality. He likes a good story, happily listening to the elders when they've talked everyone else's ears off. Warrior Berrythorn: 19 moons. A stout smoky black tom with a stumpy tail and yellow eyes. He can be a bit prickly, with a short temper, but is a dutiful warrior and loyal to his friends. He can get a bit tunnel visioned when performing a task, having quite a few small knicks and scars from following prey into dangerous places or not giving up on hard jobs. If he isn't working he gets bored easily and has a hard time sitting still if he knows there's work to be done. The most embarrassing of his scars is a small one on his nose, from a crayfish he swears is the best prey he's ever eaten. Mother Dark

Shortcake eyed the mouse just a few tail length away with hungry eyes. They apologized in their mind to their old housemate, Sherbet, for hunting one of her smaller kin. But times are dire! I'm in the wild now. Just as they began to close in on the mouse, however, their stomach growled loud enough to startle even them. The mouse's head popped up and in their panic they leapt, only to roll face first into the dirt as it darted off to safety. They stretched, a quick glance around to make sure no one had seen. Fate spited them that day, however, as they caught sight of a shadowy creature nearby. A cat? A cat! They forgot their embarrassment and sprang forward, tail held high in greeting. "Hello there! I'm Shortcake, who are you?"

Gazekit laughed as Silverpaw winked and joked with him. He winked back and bumped into the apprentice. "Those things sound good but we should probably give them time to settle down first."
Poppypaw watched the two toms pal around. "I think it would be nice to experience each other's territories too. Or to go swimming with other apprentices at the Pond."
Turtlepool with Heronflight
"I wonder but then again it's not any of my business really." The nosy elder said. She sniffed her tailbase and gagged a little. "He's lucky if he isn't effected by it." She nodded at Heronflight's wise words. "Hopefully whatever it is doesn't effect Wolfkit or the clan."
(I actually don't remember it either. Maybe it's like what we figured out with the elders taking the dead to be buried it's just not worth writing.)
Wishkit with Weaselkit
Wishkit growled when Weaselkit got ahold of her tail. She waited for her friend's grip to loosen and yanked her tail free. She whipped around and batted her ears. When Weaselkit couched and waited for her next move she spoke. "Oh I bet you're wondering what I'm gonna do next." She taunted. Then she sprang forward jumping over her and grabbing at her tail.
(I think it's early Greenleaf. We haven't really discussed it.)
Ivysplash with Shortcake
Ivysplash had been tracking down a mouse when he scented another cat and saw them scare off hid mouse. He growled to himself but stopped when he saw it was a very small cat with the soft body of a kittypet. "What are you doing in Thymeclan territory, Shortcake" He growled when the cat came up to him and greeted him happily.

Shortcake flinched back at the stranger's growl, halting in their tracks. Up close the tom was much mroe intimidating. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't know. I only just recently came here. I live in the wild now, like you." Their eyes shone as they perk up. "Thymeclan? Does that mean there's more cats like you?"

Seeing the other flinch, Ivysplash changed his demeanor some. He decided to stick to a stern voice and leave space between himself and the other cat. "You are trespassing on clan territory so I'll have to take you back to camp and have you talk to my leader." He said with a grunt. He shook his head and motioned for Shortcake to follow. He started to make his way through the forest mad that the mouse was scared away.

Wolfkit and Icewhisper - with Elmstar"Alright, thank you, Elmstar," Wolfkit meowed and dipped his head. "And I'll keep that in mind." He wasn't sure about dismissing a warrior's words like that but if Elmstar outright told him not to listen to Houndear's remarks he felt better about that. As for letting his future mentor know, he was fine with either Elmstar or Icewhisper telling him. Or he would do so himself if he was allowed. Icewhisper gave a nod at Elmstar's decision. "That sounds reasonable. As for his mentor, either you or I could inform him. Just so he's aware of it before Wolfkit becomes his apprentice." She briefly smiled at the kit. "Well, I think we've discussed this enough for now. You don't want to spend the rest of the day sitting here, do you?" She then turned back to Elmstar. "Oh, one more thing. I spoke with Gazekit yesterday. To make sure he still wants to train under me," she purred. "Well, he's just as eager as he was a moon ago and most likely won't change his mind." Silverpaw - with Gazekit and PoppypawSilverpaw grinned as Gazekit bumped into him and gently headbutted him. "Oh definitely. Their whole territory is new to them and most of them haven't even met each other before." At Poppypaw's musings he nodded. "Oh, swimming with them sounds great!" Heronflight - with Turtlepool"His mentor will have to think of a different punishment if he ever misbehaves," she laughed. "But you're right, as long as it won't affect the clan it really isn't of our business. And if it is important then I'm sure Elmstar will tell us."
(Yeah I guess. And even it it really doesn't happen in canon we can make it a thing for our rp.)
Weaselkit - with Wishkit
Weaselkit had begun to swish her tail as she waited for Wishkit to make her move. At her taunt she grinned and ducked lower, ready to roll over when she jumped, expecting her friend to just leap onto her. She blinked in surprise when Wishkit jumped over her and slowly turned her head, unsure of what she was trying to do. She yelped in surprise when Wishkit grabbed her tail and then gave a playful hiss. "Oh no you don't," she laughed as she wriggled around, careful not to move too much so Wishkit wouldn't accidentally pull her tail.

Shortcake gasp and trotted after the tom. "Your leader!" There was a whole group right nearby! It had been days since they saw another face and now they would get to meet a whole clan's worth. In their excitement they began to ramble. "Who's your leader? Are they nice? How many cats are there in Thymeclan? Oh- wait! who are you first? I never got your name, Mister. Erm, also, sorry for the whole trespassing thing..."

He turned to Icewhisper and listened to her talk about her future apprentice. "Good. I know you're still young but having an apprentice will br good for you. I don't want you over worked." He said
Webwillow layed in the shade of camp. She was unsure of what to do. She'd been hunting and given the kits a rabbit to eat.
Windpaw laid by the freshkill pile eating a mouse. It was his favorite prey.

Gazekit nodded as Silverpaw agreed with him. "Didn't Elmstar say that the clans were going to have a meeting once a moon?" He asked not remembering quite correctly. "You two might get to go to the first one. Or maybe I will if it'd the end of next moon!"
Poppypaw beamed. Her two different colored eyes glowing as Silverpaw liked her idea. She nodded at Gazekit.
(I don't remember if he actually announced it or not. I think he did.)

Turtlepool nodded. "I'm sure he could run laps or bring us water filled moss. Or endure our stories." She said with a chuckle.
(I'm not gonna worry about it being a thing. It seems silly to do.)
Wishkit with Weaselkit
Wishkit laughed and accidentally let go of Weaselkit's tail. She pummeled her with one paw then ran away. She turned to see what Weaselkit would do while sticking out her tongue.
Ivysplash with Shortcake
Ivysplash turned and looked at Shortcake. "I'm Ivyspash. And stop asking so many questions" he said it had been almost 6 moons since he had joined the clan himself with his sister Snowdapple.

Ivysplash just kept walking to camp. When he got to the entrance he stopped and turned to Shortcake once more. "Just know if you cause trouble I know how to stop it." He said digging his claws into the ground below them. He then stepped into camp and looked for Elmstar. He saw him talking to Icewhisper and stood a little bit away but in the leader and medicine cat's vision so they would notice him and Shortcake.

Shortcake paused at Ivysplash's threat, for the first time considering that mayhap they had gotten in over their head. They sat quietly beside the tom, nervously fidgeting their paws as they looked around Thymeclan. There really was many cats of all age, a sight that left a happy twitch in their tail. Is that his leader he's looking at?
Cloudflower - to Webwillow (if that's okay)
Cloudflower stirred as he heard someone lay down in the shade nearby. The sleepy tom rolled onto his paws with a yawn. "Oh, hello Webwillow. Come to sneak a nap as well?" He murred. "Didn't you just leave to go hunting a moment ago, though?"

(I just keep reposting her waiting for someone to need someone to talk to so it's good. I keep losing my last post cause I'm on the app. So I know I had her hunt earlier bit I might have had her leave again.)
Webwillow started as she heard Cloudflower talk. "Oh hello Cloudflower. I guess I just came to the shade becuase I don't know what to do. I feel like today has lasted forever." She sighed and then realized that sounded like a complaint. "Oh I don't mean to complain it's just I have been hunting and the rabbit I caught was devoured by the 6 hungry kits." She laughed at that last part.
