Thymeclan New members needed

Weaselkit, Wolfkit and Foxkit - with Wishkit and Gazekit

Weaselkit looked on in excitement, a huge grin on her face, as Cherrystar finally made Poppykit an apprentice. She wasted no time and immediately cheered for Sakura and Poppypaw.

"Yeah. It's crazy but we were right," Wolfkit said. "But to start a new clan right beside ours... I still can't believe it." He laughed quietly and watched the apprentice ceremony. When Weaselkit began to cheer he waited for a while, then he joined in along with a lot of the other cats.

Foxkit stayed where he was and watched. He smiled at Poppypaw and Sakura becoming apprentice and mentor, happy for them both.

Heronflight - with Turtlepool

Heronflight nodded. "I'm surprised too but," she purred. "Oh well, looks like we have neigbours now." Then she watched Sakura and Poppypaw. After everything was said she cheered for the two.

Icewhisper - with Silverrose

Icewhisper shook her head. "Unfortunately we haven't encountered a loner like that yet," she said. "I hope Starclan will point us to one."

Cenra - with Feather, Apple and Snow

Cenra nodded and then followed Snow. She still wasn't entirely sure but she was curious about those dens. She didn't dislike the idea of the four of them banding together though. Maybe this was something she should give a chance.

Cherrystar - Camp - The clan
Cherrystar dipped her head to the two as the clan cheered, knowing they were the perfect match. The former loners held a lot in common and, within the last moon, they had created a bond. The dark gib we she-cat hoped that bond would help the two during their training. “Meeting dismissed,” she called, leaping from her branch. Padding toward the newcomers once more, she flicked her tail toward the warrior’s den and the apprentice’s den. “The dens are over there if you’d like to rest. I’ll send out a patrol later to help you scout out a suitable camp.”

Sakura - Camp - Poppypaw
Sakura’s head was still trying to grasp what had just happened. She was a mentor. She hadn’t expected to be one ever, but she was glad it was now. Turning to the new apprentice, she mewed, “So, what were you saying about not joining me to gather moss?” She grinned in a teasing way.

Swallowbreeze - Camp - Minty, Cherrystar
Swallowbreeze grinned at the new apprentice and mentor, finding it only a bit strange that Sakura’s name was different. But she shook it off and turned to Cherrystar as she spoke to the group again. “Oh yes, thank you. Though I might grab something to eat first, if that’s alright.” Once she got the go-ahead, the gray and white she-cat trotted over to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a large shrew for her and Minty to share.

Poppypaw with Sakura

Poppypaw grinned. "I guess now you can show me where to find some moss and how to collect it." She said with a laugh.

Snowdapple and Coalkit OPEN
Snowdapple cheered for Poppypaw and Sakura. When Cherrystar dismissed the meeting she turned and layed back down outside the nursery.

Coalkit woke up due to all the cheering and sighed. She was happy when Snowdapple came and layed back down. She layed down next to her and purred.

Wishkit and Gazekit with Weaselkit, Wolfkit, and Foxkit
Wishkit looked at Foxkit. "They won't only be looking at you so don't worry too much. We're all in this together. Right,  Weaselkit?" she said pushing up against him.

Gazekit purred. "I wonder if we will ever see these cats again once they have their own territory. How will we know they are settling in okay?" He got to his feet and paced around a little bit.

Turtlepool with Heronflight
"Yeah. I bet Smokeshade is super proud too. Since he brought her in." Turtlepool said. She sat up and wrapped her tail around her paws. "I wonder how long its gonna take for them to find a camp and all the stuff they need to make a camp." She added blinking a few times thoughtfully.

Frostfeather OPEN
Frostfeather got up and padded around camp a few times not sure what to do. She then padded out into the forest deciding she could best help the clan by catching some more prey for the new cats. She stopped and scented the air outside of camp. She smelled nothing and kept moving.

Basilwhisker with Silverpaw and Brightpaw
"Wait for me." Basilwhisker said as he quickly followed his apprentice. "I meant for us to do it together so it gets done faster. It will especially if both of you are helping." He said looking st both Silverpaw and Brightpaw. He looked at the den and thought for a second on how to best expand it.

(I was thinking it could be a group of holly bushes grown together and maybe only part of it is useable now because they need to remove some lower branches and dig out the nests.)

Ivysplash OPEN
Ivysplash moved to go get some more moss from his favorite moss collecting spot a little while away from camp. The moss covered the trees in thick patches there. He got there quickly and started scratching down swaths of moss. He carefully picked debris out and rolled up the moss he collected heading back into camp. He set the moss out to dry near the apprentice's den.

Poppypaw with Sakura
Poppypaw grinned. "I guess now you can show me where to find some moss and how to collect it." She said with a laugh. She started towards the camp's entrance to leave for the first time since she was brought into the camp. She sighed happy to have some freedom.

Silverrose with Icewhisper
"Thanks. I wonder what Starclan thinks about me being leader of this new clan. It makes me nervous the thought of being in charge of multiple cats like that. I've lead my family in this past couple moons but thats all I've done." She said just dumping how she was feeling on the Medicine Cat. She didn't care if these feelings stirred up doubts of her worthiness to be leader. She just needed someone to vent to.

Wrenwillow, Melonburr, Petalpaw, Brindlepaw, and Mistpaw OPEN
The family was still cuddled up together in a huddle. They were calmer now that Cherrystar had said they would be staying for the thyme-being. They nodded when she pointed out the dens to them but they were unwilling to part yet. Petalpaw ventured out a little bit from the group to watch the Thymeclan cats hoping one would come talk to her.

Apple and Snow with Cenra and Feather
Apple turned to the fish and started to eat it. Taking large bites he finished off a little over half of it within a few minutes. He buried the rest under some leaves for Snow when she got back.

Snow looked around at the different dens they were surrounded by brambles and a single tree sat in the middle of the clearing. A stream ran through the edge of the circle of brambles. There was a den dug into the roots of the tree and an old fox burrow off to one side of the brambles. There was a willow tree off to another side of the circle. "So these are most of the dens. There is one more that isn't in this circle. Its a hawthorne bush thats right outside of this area. There is this small hole in the brambles we came through and thats the only way in." Snow said showing them around.

(I'm gonna say they will have to build the apprentice's den in this camp.)

Cherrystar - Camp - Open
Cherrystar dipped her head to the group before heading to her den. She needed a few moments to think. A new clan was an interesting concept, and sounded hard to accomplish with so few cats, but Thymestar had done it so she didn't have many doubts about Silverrose's abilities. The camp was the base of a clan, so finding one that would support a group of cats would be tough. And what would Starclan think? She didn't think they would reject the lavender she-cat, but who knew what they thought?

Sakura - Forest - Poppypaw
Sakura chuckled at Poppypaw's enthusiasm before following after her. Taking the lead, she headed through the trees. "Now, I don't know if this is the best spot to collect it, but it's better than nothing. I'm still working out this territory myself," she mewed, padding into the training hollow. She knew moss grew on the trees around the clearing and the pond created a lush environment. Walking up to one of the oaks, she unsheathed her claws and scraped at the moss. "Ok, you have to make sure to scrape down to the roots. And try to roll it into a ball as you go, it makes carrying it easier."

Ebonyflame - Camp - Open
Ebonyflame chanted with the clan as Poppypaw was apprenticed to Sakura and then padded to the fresh-kill pile once the meeting was over. Grabbing a vole, she padded to the edge of the clearing, casting glances at the group occasionally.

Windpaw sniffed a patch of ferns near the front of the camp. He was trying to find some prey for his Clan. Come out, come out where ever you are! He thought.

Poppypaw searched the ball for thorns and brambles and other debris and picked her moss clean. "Do we take this back to dry now or do we gather more?" She asked as she pulled another thorn out.

Sakura - Forest - Poppypaw
Sakura gave her moss a last look before glancing over at Poppypaw’s. “That looks good. Yeah, we can head back to camp and let it dry in the sun. And while we wait for that, we can make sure no annoying brambles are sticking into the den.” She chuckled at the last bit and picked up the moss in her mouth. As they headed back to camp, she slowed her pace so the two walked side by side. Through the moss, she mewed, “When the dens are done, I’ll show you the territory.”

Weaselkit, Wolfkit and Foxkit - with Wishkit and Gazekit

Weaselkit began to pace around, swishing her tail in excitement. One more moon and they would be apprentices. And not only that, there would be a new clan soon. "I wish that one moon was over already," she purred.

Foxkit nodded eagerly at Wishkit's words. "Me too. And I'm really looking forward to going to the pond. Swimming sounds really fun!"

Wolfkit laughed a little but then again a lot of weird things had happened today. Not only had there been other clans, now the cats that remained of those clans wanted to build a new one. So in that context Gazekit's words didn't sound all that weird. "Maybe we really do need that. At least it would be good for us to exchange some news."

Heronflight - with Turtlepool

Heronflight nodded. "If there are loners who are willing to join then they'll soon have enough warriors and, most importantly, mentors. They sure need those with all their apprentices. But I too wonder how they will find a medicine cat. Maybe Starclan will send a sign but even then there's no telling when it will happen."

Silverpaw and Brightpaw - with Basilwhisker

Brightpaw began to break off one of the branches and ducked to hide his chuckle. At Basilwhisker's question though he looked thoughtful. "I'm eight moons old now," he said. "But I've only trained for one moon. Couldn't really train my fighting skills while we were travelling, after all. But I've still worked on my hunting. Storm is really good at that." He smiled a little. "I wonder how I'll adapt to living nearby. I'm used to more rough terrain but I'm sure I can manage."

Snowdapple and Coalkit OPEN
Snowdapple cheered for Poppypaw and Sakura. When Cherrystar dismissed the meeting she turned and layed back down outside the nursery.

Coalkit woke up due to all the cheering and sighed. She was happy when Snowdapple came and layed back down. She layed down next to her and purred.

Wishkit and Gazekit with Weaselkit, Wolfkit, and Foxkit
"Swimming does sound fun and so does fishing and hunting and even checking the borders. I just want the moon to be over just like you do Weaselkit." Wishkit said. She was boucing a little with each word as though to emphasize her excitement.

Gazekit nodded to Wolfkit. "I'm sure we could use the sharing of news. And I'm sure we could team up if there were enemies trying to invade our territories." He said getting excited. "We could even share herbs with their medicine cat or visit Starclan with them." He added shaking his fur out in excitement.

Turtlepool with Heronflight
"They sure do have what looks to be a decent amount of apprentices. And I'm sure there's a loner out there with the knowledge of herbs. Or maybe another clan cat will find their way here that used to be a medicine cat." Turtlepool said trying to lick the fur on her shoulders.

Frostfeather OPEN
Frostfeather got up and padded around camp a few times not sure what to do. She then padded out into the forest deciding she could best help the clan by catching some more prey for the new cats. She stopped and scented the air outside of camp. She smelled nothing and kept moving.

Basilwhisker shook his head qnd laughed after the branch hit him in the face knowing the apprentices would have also found it funny. He nodded when Brightpaw said his age and again when he said he was behind in battle training. "Can you tell us more about Ridgeclan or your journey here?" Basilwhisker asked the visiting apprentice. Je was curious about the other clan and how long it took to travel from there to Thymeclan territory.

Poppypaw looked in awe at the woods around her as she grabbed up her moss and prepared to follow Sakura back to camp to drop off the moss and finish the warrior's den expansion. She took in the scents and sounds of the forest she hasn't seen in over a moon and wondered at where she would be if Smokeshade hadn't have found her. "What do you think is the best place in the territory?" she said posing a hopefully easy question to her mentor and hoped that it would be something fun.

Silverrose with Icewhisper
"Starclan surely had something to so with it. I'm sure our ancestors are trying their best to meld together a clan to protect us all." Silverrose said. She nodded when the medicine cat said not to worry about feeling indebted to the other clan. "I think if Starclan allows me to become leader I will give the clan my Warrior's name and name it Roseclan." She said resolutely

"If we were to move into here I think Apple and I would dig out this old fox den and use it as a nest." Snow said pointing out the below ground den that would offer warmth from the ground and shelter from the wind and rain. "I think each of these dens could offer protection to many cats. Almost like that clan you talked about." she added whisking her tail around the enclosed space.

Snow with Cerna and Feather

Snow listened to the other two she-cats talk. "If you want I can show you a place I call the mossy clearing to get moss for your nests." She said heading toward the tunnel that lead out of the clearing.

Poppypaw with Sakura

The apprentice nodded at Sakura's answer. She had heard of the meadow and its unique beauty and usefulness to the clan in many ways. She thought for a moment copying Sakura as she walked around the brambles and such. "I'm looking forward to hunting most. That way I can control for myself how hungry I am." She said as her stomach rumbled quietly.

Poppypaw rolled out the moss like Sakura did and then turned to the older she-cat. "Okay so to the meadow then?" She asked quietly. She sat down to wait for an answer.
