Thymeclan New members needed

Weaselkit cheered as she and the others were chasing after Wishkit. If they could herd her in the right direction they could corner her. Suddenly she shot forward, flew past Wishkit and tried to get ahead of her to cut her off. At almost the same time Wishkit had already turned around to attack Foxkit.

Foxkit's eyes widened in surprise as Wishkit suddenly turned and ran towards him. Not able to stop in time he just tried to duck out of the way. When Gazekit hopped forward Foxkit saw his chance to get away. The kit ran a few paces, shouting a "Thanks, Gazekit!" as he did so, stopped and turned to face Wishkit.

Wolfkit stepped towards Wishkit and Foxkit but before he had the chance to intervene Gazekit had already managed to give Foxkit a chance to escape. With a grin he jumped, hoping he would land on Wishkit to stop her from attacking Gazekit.

Heronflight squinted her eyes, pretending to have a hard time figuring out what the kit was doing. Then she nodded with a low purr. "That sounds about right. They just can't learn soon enough, can they?" Not that she had an issue with that. It was just how kits were. She herself had been no exception. At Turtlepool's observation of the other kits she nodded. "Yes. Thymeclan has seen many kinds of kits and every single one of them has turned into a cat the clan can be proud of. I know I gave my mentor a hard time," she laughed. Back then she had been very eager to fight any intruders, even if there was no reason to attack them. She truly had been the 'strike first, ask questions later' kind of cat as an apprentice. "We all grew up the way we did because we had clanmates to guide us. I'm sure it will be the same for those kits."

Frostfeather and Basilwhisker

Pinepaw's eyes lit up as the kit did the correct stance. "Yeah! That's it! You did it" She meowed happily. "You'll be an apprentice in no time. Maybe we'll even be apprentices together!" She purred at the kit.

Nutshine cleared her head and smiled at Snowdapple. "I could help with that." She suggested. "And it wouldn't hurt for the apprentices to do something besides teaching the kits." She joked, watching Pinepaw and Coalkit together.

Sakura - Hunting with Frostfeather in the Meadow
Sakura glanced up as the thrush fell limp under her paw. She had heard Basilwhisker whisper something after he had hunted at one point, and now that it came back to the gray she-cat she wondered what he could have said. He had acted as though he were thanking someone for his kill, but he caught it himself. Why would he need to thank someone else, whom Sakura couldn’t even imagine. She pondered on the thought for a moment before carrying the bird back toward the stash of prey.

Upon seeing Gazekit grabbing Wishkit's tail Foxkit stepped back, unable to contain his laughter. He yelped in surprise when Weaselkit suddenly crashed into him and tried to shove her off of him. "Wrong cat, Weaselkit," he laughed.

Weaselkit was still running around Wishkit and the others when Foxkit took as step back all of a sudden. Having no time to react she just crashed into him, landing on top of the ginger and white tom. Thankfully he wasn't mad at her. Not that she would be afraid of an angry Foxkit but that didn't mean she would intentionally upset him. With a grin she rolled away from him and went back to running around the fighting cats.

Wolfkit rolled his eyes when Weaselkit ran into Foxkit but couldn't hide his amused smile. Still, he pretended to ignore them and jumped forward to swat at Wishkit. "Can't beat us," he purred.

Heronflight couldn't help but laugh at that. Turtlepool had a point, they could have handled those two. "True enough. We don't have to worry about that. They won't forget what we've taught them." She grinned to herself. "Because if they did they would have to deal with us and no one likes a scolding from their elders." She stretched as she said that and lay back down so she could enjoy the sun.

Pinepaw waved her tail excitedly. "What's your favorite prey? Mine is squirrel." She slid her claws into the soft earth, imagining a squirrel writhing beneath them.

Nutshine tilted her head. "That's strange. I've never heard of a kit who doesn't talk. But I'm sure she's fine." The cream she-cat quickly added, trying not to worry the queen. "Have you seen Icewhisper about it?" She asked, a little concerned for Coalkit.

Wolfkit grinned at Gazekit before he stepped away from Wishkit to let her up. "We always win," he teased but had a good-natured smile.

Foxkit padded over to them, careful to not get in Weaselkit's way again. "Did you bring down our prey?" he meowed to Gazekit and Wolfkit before he stepped forward and gave Wishkit a playful nudge.

Weaselkit finally stopped running when she saw Wishkit admitting defeat. "See? We caught her! We know how to hunt as a team!" she cheered.

Heronflight just purred. She moved a little to make herself more comfortable and continued watching the playing kits. At Weaselkit's exclamation she laughed to herself. "Imagine the chaos on their first hunt," she joked.

Pinepaw watched as Coalkit got a mouse and pounced on it. "So mouse is your favorite? You could've just said it you know, you didn't have to go and fetch an entire mouse." She chuckled and rolled her eyes. "You know what? I'm starving. How about we share this mouse before Ivysplash pulls me away for training or something." She sat down and waited for Coalkit to respond.

Nutshine watched Pinepaw and Coalkit curiously. "I think they're about to witness a badger attack." She chuckled as she angled her ears towards Foxkit,gazekit,wishkit,weaselkit, and wolfkit. She stalked up on the 5 kits as quietly as she could, and she reared up and playfully snarled. "Badger attack!"

Coalkit nodded in agreement and took a bite of the mouse. She made appreciative noises as she chewed and swallowed her prey. She nudged the mouse towards Pinepaw as she swallowed.

Snowdapple laughed as Nutshine hauled off to go play badger with the big group of kits. She settled down and rested her head on her paws. She motioned over Ivysplash to lay with her and purred as she snuggled close to her brother.

Ivysplash came to lay next to Snowdapple and purred as he watched Pinepaw and Coalkit eat together. He then turned to watch as Nutshine and the other kits played.

Nutshine batted her paws in the air and hissed playfully. "I'm a big stinky badger who's come to steal all your prey!" She gently pushed wolfkit off her and shook herself, trying to get Gazekit off.

Pinepaw took a bite of the mouse and pushed it back to coalkit. "You don't talk much, do you?" She asked the she-kit."Who do you want to be your mentor?" she asked, trying to start a good conversation with the kit.

Weaselkit ducked away when Nutshine batted her ears, trying to look fierce regardless. She stood up on her hind legs and tried to grab Nutshine's paw but fell over before she could properly get a hold on her. With another playful hiss she rolled away and tried to attack her from the side.

Wolfkit had managed to land on the "badger's" back but now he was busy trying to not fall off. Using his tail he finally managed to balance on her and he lightly dug his claws into her fur so he wouldn't be thrown off so easily but still gentle enough to not hurt her.

"Whoo whoo. We defeated the badger." Wishkit said. She hopped over to Foxkit and licked his cheek. She then hopped around some more.

Gazekit who had gotten ahold of Nutshine's tail spit out some loose hairs in his mouth before he walked over and gently bumped into Wolfkit. "Good thinking jumping on her back."

Coalkit nodded and purred as she took another bite of the mouse. She started to motion to Ivysplash and back at Pinepaw with a questionable look on her face.

"Did you have fun?" Snowdapple asked when Nutshine came back over. "You know Ivysplash right? He's my brother."

Cheering, Weaselkit jumped around the fallen "badger" for a while until Nutshine got up to join Snowdapple again. "Thanks for playing with us, Nutshine!" she called after her before she turned to the other kits again. "Good work, everyone!"

Foxkit let out a victorious yowl as Nutshine fell. When Wishkit came over to him and licked his cheek he blinked in surprise but managed to playfully flick his tail at her ear before she started hopping around again.

Wolfkit smiled to himself as Gazekit congratulated him on his good thinking. "Same to you. Good idea, grabbing her tail like that," he meowed. "I'm better at keeping my balance than Foxkit and Weaselkit so it's kinda my thing." He lowered his voice a little. "Gotta have something to keep up with everyone, after all." Despite his words he didn't sound too negative, actually sounding somewhat happy and proud.

Pinepaw tilted her head. "Are you wondering if I like Ivysplash?" She asked Coalkit. 'You know it's kind of hard to understand you when you don't talk." She told Coalkit, with just a hint of irritation in her voice

Nutshine nodded. "They'll be very good warriors one day." She purred as she sat on the other side of Snowdapple to watch the kits. she turned to Ivysplash. 'Aren't you Pinepaw's mentor." She asked the tom as she wrapped her tail around her paws neatly
