As Frostfeather padded away, most likely after something, Sakura took a path toward the stream. It cut its way swiftly through the meadow, and she knew that many creatures enjoyed being by its edge. Opening her mouth to scent the air, the gray she-cat scanned the undergrowth. The strongest scent wafted from a dense patch of brambles just a tail-length from the she-cat. Many mice, perhaps a nest. Sakura dropped into a crouch unlike that of the clan cats and took a few steps toward the brambles. Carefully, she nosed a few brambles out of the way and stuck a paw inside, wrapping her claws around soft flesh. Bringing her paw back out, she was able to finish the mice in a few swift bites. Heading back to the small clearing, Sakura glanced around to try and catch where Frostfeather was.

Frostfeather sat down where she had buried her prey and started to lick herself to pass the time. She wanted to check how Sakura was doing before moving on with her hunt again. Though she had caught a second vole to go along with the first.

(Just an update as to what's happened in the rp recently and who's open of my cats Thymestar and the patrol were attacked by the fox yesterday (rp time) and Thymestar and Elmsong died from their injuries. The clan has sat vigil for them and have woken up the next day. The bodies have been buried by the elders and the clan is going to start to move on with life as best as they can. Sakura and Frostfeather are hunting in the Meadow) renaissancePineclawZzLightBringerMoriorWeaselstarmeatman) Basilwhisker's tail twitched in amusement as he watched his sister and Sakura talk for a little bit and then disappear out of camp. He wondered to himself what they might be doing despite his immense grief for his leader and clanmate. Snowdapple sat near the nursery and watched her kits as they batted a moss ball with very little enthusiasm. Though the kits didn't know what exactly had happened to the clan and what an impact it would make on their clan they seemed to be subdued by the energy within the clan walls. Coalkit lay by her mother and watched silently as Gazekit and Wishkit batted at a small mossball. She as usual had no intention of playing with the other kits and seemed uneffected by the subdued or melancholy mood of the clan. Ivysplash was trotting into camp with a ball of fresh dry moss when he spotted Turtlepool step out of the Elder's den. He nodded to her and said "I hope the new moss I put in yesterday was up to your standards." When she nodded he headed toward the medicine den to drop off the moss. He paused at the entrance hoping not to disturb the injured cats within. Seeing that Icewhisper was busy he dropped the moss near her den and went back into camp. Turtlepool emerged from her den and felt dreary. She had been very close to Thymestar and grown up with him as her leader. Though he was only so many moons older than her he had been her idol. She looked up to him and was stiff from crying into his fur the night before. She nodded stiffly to Ivysplash when he asked his question and then layed down to watch the clan like she always did. |

Nutshine chuckled as she watched the ginger apprentice race over to the small she-cat. The cream tabby padded over and sat beside Snowdapple. "How are you doing?" She asked, turning her gaze to the white she-cat.
Smokeshade sat in camp, enjoying a mouse. He glanced around to see if there were any other cats nearby that he could talk to.

(I'll post with my other characters too, of course, but I just wanted to get these out there.)
Heronflight slowly exited the elder's den and settled down beside Turtlepool. She meowed a quiet greeting and watched the clan. It didn't surprise her that no one seemed to have gotten over Thymestar's death yet. It had only happened yesterday, after all, and this was the first time for Thymeclan to lose their leader. At least everyone seemed to get back to fullfilling their duties. It still felt a little unreal to her, though. Had she and the other elders not buried Thymestar themselves she probably would still have a hard time believing it. She cast a hopeful glance at the cats outside the nursery but sighed when she realized that even the kits seemed to realize that something had changed.
Weaselkit trotted over to Gazekit and Wishkit, no longer wanting to sit around doing nothing. She glanced back for a second to see if her brothers were following her. Wolfkit just nodded with a half-hearted smile while Foxkit didn't even look up from where he sat. "Are you joining us or what?" she meowed to them before she crouched down, her eyes on the moss ball. With a shout she leapt for it, just as Gazekit and Wishkit were passing it back and forth. Behind her Wolfkit shook his head but padded over to his playing denmates anyway. He had noticed that Weaselkit sounded nowhere near as excited as she usually was but he chose not to call her out on it. The whole clan wasn't in the best of moods, after all, so he wasn't really surprised.

Pinepaw swished her tail happily. "Show me your hunter's crouch and I'll help you perfect it." She informed the kit, sitting down. Nutshine watched the kit and chuckled. "I'm doing well. It would be nice to have kits of my own though." She added, sadness lacing her voice. "I just...I haven't found the right cat yet." She meowed, watching Weaselkit pad over. ( Mother Dark do you think Basilwhisker and Nutshine could be mates eventually? That would be kinda interesting)) |

Turtlepool turned and watched Heronflight for a second. Glad to see someone else felt like she did. Though the rest of the clan seemed just as despondent. "Ivysplash asked how we liked out fresh moss he put in yesterday" she said with a feeble laugh. As though moss mattered ehen their friend and leader was dead. "I told him it was fine but I didn't really notice it much." She added.
Wishkit's face lit up as Weaselkit stole the ball from between herself and her brother. She was excited to play with someone who was a little more fun. Then she remembered how quiet everything was and decided to calm down some. "Hey." She said in a hushed tone.
Gazekit waved his tail at Wolfkit and looked around to see if Foxkit was following his littermates. He always felt bad when the other kit thought he wasn't invited to play with everyone.

Coalkit thought for a second and then started to crouch. Her legs were very wide apart and her tail lay flat against her body. Her little legs were wobbly from being so streched and she fell over eventually. She got back to her paws and did the same crouch.
"It takes time to meet the right cat. It takes some time and sometimes like for me there's more than one. I lost my first mate, the father of my kits, about a moon before we found the clan. I thought I would never find love again but Wovensight found me here." Snowdapple said motioning to the camp. She was devastated when she lost Dolphin but he was gone and the kits and Wovensight reminded her of why she stayed alive and happy.
(I would be happy to see how they work together. I know some people were shipping him and Sakura together but I think they could just be good friends.)

(Gotta admit, I was low-key shipping Sakura and Basilwhisker but Basilwhisker and Nutshine looks interesting, too! It's your choice, anyway ^^)
Heronflight nodded with a slight smile. "I see. He's always bringing us fresh moss so of course he'd ask." She lowered her voice. "I haven't really noticed either. But who can blame us? I think there are other things on everyone's mind right now." The she-cat sighed to herself again. "I know the clan has to move on sooner or later," she finally said. "But we never had such a great loss before. We lost clanmates before but I wonder how long it will take everyone to really get back on their paws." She glanced at Turtlepool and looked back at the rest of her clanmates again. "Thymestar wouldn't want us to grieve for too long but it's really hard..." Weaselkit grinned to herself as she managed to steal the ball and tossed it to Wolfkit. She nodded to Wishkit and quickly glanced at her clanmates before she returned the greeting. "I'm glad we're allowed outside again," she meowed after a while, not really sure what to say. As much as she enjoyed playing with her friends and siblings it really wasn't the best day. She didn't like how everyone seemed to be so down and she didn't want to let it affect her. So she swished her tail and made a few steps towards Wolfkit. Wolfkit managed a small smile as he reached the others and nodded to Gazekit. When Weaselkit tossed him the moss ball he quickly caught it and before his sister could reach him he passed it to Wishkit. He used this moment of distraction to see what Gazekit was looking at and rolled his eyes in fake annoyance. "Come on, Foxkit! It's more fun with five of us!" His brother gave a grateful smile as he got to his paws and came over to join them. "Hey, you two," he meowed to Wishkit and Gazekit. While it didn't feel right to him to just play when the whole clan was in such a strange mood he still was happy to join his denmates. |

Eventually he will have to make that decision but I don't even know if Sakura wants to have kits one day and thats a must for Basilwhisker. I love playing him as the looking for the love of his life and as a new father. But the nursery is a little full right now anyways.)))
Turtlepool just nodded. "I know he wouldn't want us to grieve but its hard when there is such a big hole where he left. But at least the kits are playing. I'm sure no one has told them yet what has happened." She rested her tail on her friend's back trying to give comfort from her touch.
Wishkit caught the ball when Wolfkit passed it to Foxkit. "I know. It was weirs being kept inside. And Snowdapple was acting weird all night. She was acting sad like something really bad happened." Wishkit said to Weaselkit.
Gazekit watched the ball roll toward Foxkit and hoped he would catch it. "Maybe we shouldn't talk about everyone's mood without knowing what's happened." He said quietly when he heard his sister speak. "We don't want to get in trouble for no reason" but thought about how much he wanted to know what was going on. He thought about going to see Icewhisper and askibg her what happened since his mom and the other queens were silent.

Heronflight gave her friend a grateful smile. "They'll find out eventually but I hope it's later rather than sooner. I think it's good for the clan to see the kits playing around. It's like they're reminding us to not live in the past, even if they don't realize it."
Weaselkit nodded. "Ferrettail was acting weird, too," she said to Wishkit. "But she wouldn't tell us anything." At Gazekit's words however she decided to drop the subject. She still wanted to know what was happening right now but he was right.
Foxkit listened quietly as the others spoke and gave a slight nod of agreement. Then he lunged for the ball as Gazekit rolled it towards him. He pretended to swat it in Wolfkit's direction and tossed it to Wishkit instead. The ginger-and-white tom couldn't help but grin as Wolfkit fell for it.
Darkclaw slowly made his way through the camp's entrance, carrying a vole and a robin. He wished he could have hunted more but it had been all he could find. So he just walked over to the fresh kill pile and dropped off his catch. As he did so he glanced towads the nursery, glad to see that at least the kits tried to be as playful as always. They weren't as excited or happy as usual but it was better than nothing.
Adderheart tried to get some more sleep but gave it up after a while. She was still slightly tired from yesterday's fight and today's patrol but she didn't want to spend all day in the warrior's den. She could just stay in camp for a while and go out to hunt in the evening. Nodding to herself she padded over to the fresh-kill pile and picked a small mouse.
Silverpaw was pacing outside the apprentices' den, restless but at the same time not really feeling up to training battle or hunting techniques. With what was going on in the clan right no he didn't think he would be able to focus anyway.
Rainsong was observing his clanmates when he noticed Pinepaw actually talking to Coalkit. His expression betrayed nothing but the warrior was surprised to see the kit really interacting with one of her clanmates.
Icewhisper narrowed her eyes at Yarrowfur's question. "I don't think so," she meowed, "but I couldn't give you any anyway, at least not if I don't know what you'd need them for. First I'd need to know what's causing the dizziness." She padded over to him. "Are you getting dizzy lately or are you asking for someone else?"

Wishkit caught the ball and sent it to Wolfkit. Since she felt bad for Foxkit tricking him. She nodded her agreement to keep quiet about how the clan was acting. She tried to rally her spirits and jumped on Weaselkit with a shake of her butt. "Gotcha." She cried.
Gazekit laughed as Wishkit jumped on Weaselkit. He looked around to see if anyone was watching at the kits starting to be a little rambunctious. Then he noticed that Coalkit was playing with Pinepaw and got excited for his quiet and subdued sister.
Turtlepool nodded. "They make me wish I were just a bit younger still. So I could give them badger rides. Its hard to think how they will be apprentices soon enough too." She returned her tail to the ground near her and zoned out a little thinking about when her own kits were younger and about all the apprentices she had trained.
(Not that we know who they are. It would be nice if we had some former apprentices to come and visit their mentors especially for advice)

(I like the idea that maybe since she just joined and he's still young he just talks to both of them for now and maybe in a moon or so he could start thinking about taking a mate.))
Frostfeather watched as Sakura took off and started off again herself. She trotted over to the stream where she saw a vole hurry into its hole. But she let it be as she was ready to go fishing. She dipped a paw into the water bringing out a fish the size of her tail.

Wolfkit grinned when he saw the ball rolling over to him and sent it over to Foxkit, tossing it high enough that his brother would have a hard time catching it. He stopped watching him immediately though once Wishkit suddenly jumped on Weaselkit. With a loud purr he padded towards them. For a second he just watched them but then he playfully swiped his paws at the two, not really caring which cat he batted at.
Weaselkit let out a surprised squeal when Wishkit jumped on her and toppled over. Laughing, she tried to get Wishkit off of her by rolling around and lightly shoving her.
Foxkit stepped back and leapt into the air when Wolfkit tossed the ball. It bounced off of him and rolled away before he could land on it. With a quiet laugh he quickly chased after it but laughed even harder when Wishkit "attacked" his sister. He dropped the moss ball beside them.
Heronflight purred lightly as she thought of her own time as a mentor. She had trained quite a few cats, some had been easy to handle while others had tried to make thing as difficult as possible. "Time sure flies. Not too long ago those six weren't even old enough to leave the nursery."
(Agreed. I think we can figure some former mentor-apprentice teams out if we check everyone's age. It would be interesting, knowing who had trained which cat.)

They might have to play with them as apprentices. And yes. I wanna do that i think we decided that most apprentices become warriors around 12-14 moons so the earliest someone could mentor is 16 moons if they were thought to be ready for it. We could discuss that more in the groupchat. ) Wishkit rolled off of Weaselkit and bounded around acting wild. She darted forward and smacked at Wolfkit before running away again. Gazekit just chuckled at the other kits. "Don't I know it. I know long after we've gone to starclan they are gonna be special too. I'm thinking Weaselstar and her trusty deputy Wishwhisker." Turtlepool purred. |

(I mean, this is Warriors. Kits are old enough to play as early as the plot demands it. Nah, good thing we're not doing that here xD As for the warriors and their ex-apprentices, makes sense.) Wolfkit almost fell over when Wishkit smacked him right as he tried to swipe at Weaselkit again and chuckled. "Hey, watch it!" With that he lunged but aimed for Foxkit instead, wanting to let him know that he was also included in this. Foxkit tried to move out of the way but Wolfkit had timed his jump perfectly. "I haven't done anything yet!" He laughed, shoved Wolfkit off of him and ran after Wishkit. Weaselkit chased after Wishkit, the clan's depressing atmosphere forgotten for now. When her brothers joined she grinned, wondering if they were teaming up against Wishkit or if it was everyone for themselves. Not that she minded either option as long as she could play with them. Heronflight chuckled at this. "Oh they'll keep everyone on their paws. Thymeclan will be known for its rambunctiousness with leaders and warriors such as those." She smiled as she kept watching the kits. "See? Even Coalkit isn't by herself today. I wonder what that apprentice is teaching her."

(I guess a game of moss ball wouldn't hurt a 2 moon old kit. Speaking of which I would love to skip a moon after we get Nightstar his lives. That way everyone is a little closer to aging up and we can have warriors ceremonies for some apprentices and Malvina's kits can start to move around some))
Wishkit darted away from the others but was unsure which direction to run with three cats after her. She decided to run toward Foxkit and yelled "I'm gonna get you."
Turtlepool laughed when she looked at Coalkit. "My best guess of what she's doing is a hunters crouch." She said with a snort. Then watching the other kits said "they will calm down eventually. They always do. Look at Basilwhisker and Frostfeather. They used to be as wild as these five are. Though I was much more like Coalkit. She seems much more gentle than the others."

Coalkit thought for a second and then started to crouch. Her legs were very wide apart and her tail lay flat against her body. Her little legs were wobbly from being so streched and she fell over eventually. She got back to her paws and did the same crouch.
Gazekit and Wishkit
Wishkit darted away from the others but was unsure which direction to run with three cats after her. She decided to run toward Foxkit and yelled "I'm gonna get you."
Gazekit joined in the chase of his sister and watched as she turned to get Foxkit. He hopped forward and tried to make sure that Foxkit could escape the clutches of Wishkit. "Take that." He cried out.
Turtlepool
Turtlepool laughed when she looked at Coalkit. "My best guess of what she's doing is a hunters crouch." She said with a snort. Then watching the other kits said "they will calm down eventually. They always do. Look at Basilwhisker and Frostfeather. They used to be as wild as these five are. Though I was much more like Coalkit. She seems much more gentle than the others."
Frostfeather
Frostfeather watched as Sakura took off and started off again herself. She trotted over to the stream where she saw a vole hurry into its hole. But she let it be as she was ready to go fishing. She dipped a paw into the water bringing out a fish the size of her tail.
Basilwhisker
Basilwhisker got up and left the camp. He was unsure where he was going but found his paws leading him in the direction they wanted to go. He found himself at the edge of the border after a while. He sniffed the air and scented nothing. He wandered along the border for a while before turning back toward camp and familiar territory. He stopped at a stream and looked at himself in the reflection. He took a drink and stood up.
Ivysplash
Ivysplash had taken the moss and dropped it off in the Medicine den careful not to disturb Asterpaw or Icewhisper in the process. Je went and retrieved another bundle of moss from outside the camp and dropped it outside the leader's den. Unsure whether to change the moss or not he opted to just leave fresh moss there and not mess with Thymestar's empty nest. He then layed down with a thrush and started to tear into it. Watching as Pinepaw, his apprentice, taught Coalkit how to hunt.
