"No, I think he'll know everything we would want to tell him." Irisheart mewed and shook her head. "Thank you." Flowerbreeze tried to return the smile a little, Irisheart just rested her head down again. "Thymestar has lived a long life, he's done everything he can for his Clan. He shouldn't go to StarClan with any regrets for our behalves." Flowerbreeze said.

"We don't see them much, maybe our border scents discourage many of them away. I just don't want you to feel like the Clan territory is unsafe. And no, I haven't told anyone." Mothstripe gave Sakura a look and paused for a long while, like she didn't trust her to say anything more. She looked down at her paws as she walked. "I wanted to wait for you to tell someone about it yourself, as you should, or at least as I think you should. It something our leader should know about, but I was giving you the chance to tell it yourself, to save face." she explained.

Nightwhisker nodded to Duskpelt and Yarrowfur who had been guarding the camp, brushing past them without a word to enter and check on the injured cats. As soon as he approached he noticed the siblings grieving for their brother and realized Elmsong must have not made it. He paused to dip his head in the fallen warriors direction as a sign of respect before padding over to the others. It looked like they were all patched up as much as possible. Something was clearly wrong with Asterpaw's leg, but he was conscious. Wovensight was patched up with cobwebs and his wounds were no longer bleeding. He stood beside Silverpaw as he joined the other cats, the tip of his tail briefly resting against the small tom's shoulder in a sign of affection. It wasn't often the black and white deputy showed affection but right now he was happy he didn't bring his apprentice to the battle - he was safe, in camp without a scratch, and Nightwhisker was thankful for that. Thymestar was obviously in the worst condition among the living cats, and Nightwhisker's expression was solemn as he dipped his head and touched his nose to the leader's muzzle with a raspy purr.
"Where is the rest of the patrol?" Spottedbreeze asked, worried that something happened to them as well. "Burying the fox." Nightwhisker scoffed in response as he lifted his head and looked expectantly towards the medicine cat. "Icewhisper, a word in private please." He meowed and began to pad away to speak to her. He needed to ask her to fill him in on everyone's injuries the expected outcome of Thymestar. "Rainsong, fetch us immediately if he takes a turn for the worst." He added as he glanced over his shoulder at the warrior. If Thymestar was going to lose his last life he wanted to be present to see him off to StarClan properly.
Honeypaw didn't want to be in the clearing with all the other cats anymore. She was getting uncomfortable and depressed. She padded closer to Asterpaw and brushed against her injured denmate's side. "Do you want me to help you get settled into the medicine cat den?" She asked, assuming his nest would need to be moved there while he recovered.
Palepaw stayed by Wovensight's side, nodding his head with approval when all the wounds were covered.

(He still has two lives to go. )
Thymestar sighed feeling rough. He tried to look around but his vision was foggy from the pain. He was desperate for it to stop. He noticed the herbs before him and licked them up. Noticing the quiet in the air he tried to sit up.

"I don't want to tell anyone because I don't even want to be mixed up in this in the first place. Can I have your word that you won't attack anyone again? That you won't attack or harm any of your Clanmates?" Mothstripe asked in a low voice, glancing back at Adderheart and Darkclaw and hoping they wouldn't be able to hear.

Adderheart kept glancing at Mothstripe and Sakura, wondering what they were talking about but made no effort to actually listen in on their conversation, figuring it was something they wanted to keep between themselves. Darkclaw showed even less interest, being busy looking for any signs of danger, not wanting them to get attacked by another dangerous creature. It wasn't very likely but it wouldn't hurt to stay on guard. Silverpaw looked up in surprise when he felt Nightwhisker resting the tip of his tail on his shoulder for a moment but there was also relief in the apprentice's eyes who was just glad to see his mentor unharmed. When Nightwhisker padded away to speak with the medicine cat Silverpaw turned his attention back to Asterpaw and the others. Rainsong dipped his head, signalling that he had heard Nightwhisker's order. He moved closer to the gathered cats, keeping an eye on Thymestar. Icewhisper gave a curt nod and followed Nightwhisker. She didn't wait for him to ask anything, she quickly explained about Asterpaw and how he might fall behind in his training at best or not become a warrior at all at worst and that she was going to do her best to ensure the former outcome. She didn't have to say much about Wovensight, aside from the fact that he shouldn't do any warrior duties for a while but not for too long either. "As for Thymestar, he's got only two lives left now, " she meowed. "I took care of his wounds but it looks like he suffered some internal injuries as well that can't be healed. I know it's not the outcome anyone wishes for but if that happens, how would we go on from there? I would have to take you to the Moon Mushrooms but I also have to look after Asterpaw and Wovensight, unless someone can watch them for a while. I could leave them alone for a bit if I had to, though."
(Good night for now ^^)

Asterpaw moaned as his leg stiffened. All he wanted to do was rest, but he felt pity for his clan mates and decided to let it drop because of his leader’s death. Honeypaw was a sweet cat, and he she was a great friend, so to see her come and show support to him and even offer to carry him to the medicine cat den, he was very grateful. He looked to his side and glanced at Elmsong, he was shocked. For once in his life Asterpaw was speechless. “I’m the r-reason.” He said. “If hadn’t had...g-gone El-Elmsong wou-woud-would be alive...” he mewed. As he started to feel the waterworks, Asterpaw looked down at his leg and strained. ‘I might never become a warrior...’ he thought. Asterpaw’s face was expressionless for a moment until the thought truly started to sink in for the first time. Icewhisper was off towards Thymestar now and Honeypaw had offered to take him to the medicine cat den, “Ok.... I can get there most of the way but if I need help,” Asterpaw’s ears twitched and his eyes watered. “Just help me? Ok” he chuckled a little bit as he pulled his tears aback and headed towards the den, where he could lay down and rest.
Omg my poor boi. I’m about to tear up.)

(Geez. Poor Aster. Guess it can't get much worse for him. Oh wait, it can. Thymestar just has to lose his remaining lives and Asterpaw will probably feel even worse. Ah, "fun" thymes.)
Weaselkit kept trying to catch glimpses of what was happening outside but after a while she gave up, frustrated that the nursery was too far from the gathered cats so she couldn't hear what they were saying. She looked at her siblings, wondering if they wanted to play. Foxkit was napping though and Wolfkit didn't show much interest in playing either. He sat beside their mother and seemed to be pondering over something.
Silverpaw pressed up close to Asterpaw as the latter blamed himself for Elmsong's death. "Don't say that," he meowed fiercely. "Has anyone here blamed you? No cat says it was you fault." He wanted to say more but stopped when he realized that Asterpaw would still think himself responsible for what had happened to Tymestar's entire patrol, no matter what anyone said. And even if no one had openly blamed Asterpaw, who knew if that wasn't only because they didn't say what they were thinking? When Honeypaw offered to help Asterpaw getting settled in the medicine den Silverpaw decided to pad alongside them in case Asterpaw needed more help getting there. He couldn't use his broken leg after all and moving around must feel kinda awkward to him, having those sticks tied to his leg.

It was hard, but Irisheart pushed herself to her paws and padded away from Elmsong, following the three apprentices as two carried Asterpaw into the medicine den. She walked over and settled down next to Asterpaw's nest, touching her nose to his ear. "I don't want you to feel this was your fault. I know Elmsong wouldn't want you to feel that way. You couldn't have known there would be a fox, and I'm sure you only did your best to protect your Clanmates in the battle." she said, trying to sound as comforting as she could but her voice still wavered with grief.

Nightwhisker was silent as he was allowing the medicine cat to speak, only contributing to the conversation once she had finished. It was a shame that "It's a shame Asterpaw's condition may deter him from becoming a warrior, but I have faith in you Icewhisper. You're a fine medicine cat, if anyone can heal him it's you." He nodded warmly towards her. He meant it. The black and white tom hesitated before he responded to her report about Thymestar and the related questions. He didn't want to speak like his leader was already gone, but it was necessary to think about these things. "If the worst was to happen, I believe you could leave Asterpaw and Wovensight in the care of one of our warriors. They're hurt but at least they are stable, they should be fine during the thyme it takes us to travel to the Moon Mushrooms and back." He answered, looking towards the leader laid out in camp with a sad expression. "Please, try to use your herbs to ease his pain and make him as comfortable as possible." He asked, giving a hopeful look towards Icewhisper. He knew there were herbs to make you numb and ease pain, hopefully she had some in store for their leader.
Honeypaw shook her head when Asterpaw began voicing his thoughts, that he blamed himself for the loss of Elmsong. Although she wanted to express to him that she didn't think it was his fault she didn't say anything, because Silverpaw spoke up and told him to stop saying that. She nodded her agreement as she got ready to help him to the den. She didn't want to make him feel useless, so she only walked closely beside the tom, pressing against him to offer support when he needed it. They moved slowly, as it was awkward for the injured apprentice to move, and towards the end he needed Honeypaw and Silverpaw to help him some, but they made it into Icewhisper's den. She looked up as Irisheart entered after them and she touched her nose briefly to the warrior's shoulder to show her sympathy before watching her settle down beside Asterpaw.

Asterpaw wanted to listen to his fellow apprentices, however he just couldn’t make himself do it. The loss of Elmsong deeply disturbed the young apprentice, and all he could do was keep thinking about how he tried to protect him. Honeypaw, Silverpaw, and Irisheart had walked with him to medicine cats’ den, but he felt like he didn’t need it. Sure, his leg was broken and it felt extremely awkward to move with sticks on his legs, but he felt he didn’t have much choice. At one point he almost fell over, but steadied himself back up. He only about a tail length away now and he collapsed on the bedding as soon as he was in grasp.

Icewhisper dipped her head when Nightwhisker said he had faith in her. "Thank you, Nightwhisker. I won't disappoint you, Irisheart or Asterpaw." She was glad that Nightwhisker was willing to talk about what steps they would likely have to take next even though he clearly didn't like it. Once he had finished she allowed herself a small, reassuring smile. "I will do that. I have given him some herbs already and they will have taken effect by now. But I think he feels responsible for what happened today. If he really loses his last two lives I want him to have no regrets or as little as possible. No one blames him for Elmsong's death or Asterpaw and Wovensight's injuries and he should know that, even if he doesn't want to hear it. But what we could do is to tell him how everyone is grateful for him and that the whole clan respected, loved and appreciated him throughout all of his lives. That everyone thinks of him of as a wonderful leader and cat and that no one here will ever forget him"
Silverpaw moved closer to Asterpaw when he nearly fell but despite his broken leg he had steadied himself already. Once they had reached the medicine den Silverpaw sat down near the entrance. He didn't mind staying here for a while but if Asterpaw wanted to be alone for a while he would leave. But he didn't want him to spend the rest of the day blaming himself. At Irisheart's words Silverpaw nodded. See? Not even Irisheart believes it was your fault and Elmsong was her brother. So stop blaming yourself, he wanted to say but decided against it for now, knowing that Asterpaw probably wouldn't listen so soon after Elmsong's death.

Yarrowfur leaned into Duskpelt as well and nuzzled her gently. "Grief, fear, painful memories... at least the fox has been killed." He said, sitting close beside her and wrapping his tail around her. He watched the two black she-cats sitting over their lost brother and sighed, closing his eyes, pressing his cheek to Duskpelt's. LightBringer )

Morior) DuskPelt nodded absentmindedly as the grief of her clanmmates washed over her. ElmSong..... it looked like ThymeStar would be hard pressed to pull through, if he was able to at all. at least WovenSight and AsterPaw seemed to be in better shape. she prayed the apprentice would pull through, though the molly was sure it would be a hard journey. the scent of YarrowFur surrounded her as he leaned in, and pressed his cheek to hers. her eyes shut, and she swept her tail over his as she let his familiarity calm her through this troubled time. "id like to sit vigil for ElmSong tonight. " she finally murmured, looking to the fallen warriors body and his grieving family. shed ask, first, if they minded her sitting with them for the night, as she knew some families preferred their vigils to be the close knit siblings and family.

Yarrowfur gazed across the camp to Thymestar, the old leader laying on his side. "Most of the Clan might sit vigil tonight," he said, he didn't know how but he already felt certain about it. ThymeClan is losing its first leader, he shuddered. "Elmsong will be hunting in StarClan by the time of the vigil, if he isn't already." Thinking of StarClan gave him some comfort.

"maybe ElmSong will visit his sisters sometime in their dreams" DuskPelt mewed, finally tearing her gaze from the fallen warrior to look over the rest of the clan. she noticed Sakura sitting over by the camp wall, and resisted the urge to let her fur bristle. she had never had the chance to speak to her after their fight, and part of her wanted to clear the air between them.

"Hopefully." Yarrowfur mewed quietly, thinking about the few rare times he had seen his mother in dreams when he was younger. For some reason he could never speak to her in those dreams though they could hunt together. He'd closed his eyes resting his cheek against Duskpelt's and he felt her turn her head, opening his eyes again and following her gaze to where Sakura was sitting. "She's done a lot for the Clan today." he murmured.

"she has.... but id like to clear the air regardless. " DuskPelt murmured, debating whether to get up or not. "i dont know how to address it, thats the problem." the molly sighed, and flicked her ear in irritation. "Do you have any ideas?" she asked, turning to her mate, hoping his level head would pull through this time around. DuskPelt tended to be a hot head from time to time, though she tried her best to keep it under control.

He sat and thought on it for a while. "I think I'm the one who should probably apologize for snapping at her during the battle practice. I don't remember you doing anything directly to offend her, other than being a little cold to her since. I'd say treat her more warmly next time you have the chance, over fresh-kill or something." Yarrowfur attempted, frowning that he didn't have all the answers.

Adderheart slowed down once she reached the camp's entrance and stopped for a second. While she knew what she was going to find there she was a little afraid to enter. When she finally did walk through the entrance she padded over to the gathered cats first. For a moment she stood near Elmsong and the grieving Flowerbreeze. There was nothing she could say to her but she briefly ran the tip of her tail over Flowerbreeze's back, sympathy in her eyes. Then she dipped her head to Elmsong and sat down a few paces away.
Darkclaw walked past the injured cats, glancing at them and dipping his head in respect when he passed Elmsong. He lay down in the shadows of the camp walls near the warriors den and watched his clanmates from there, feeling too overwhelmed by grief and anger to do more than that. That fox was dead now but how did that help Asterpaw? What did it change about Elmsong's death and the lives Thymestar had lost? The only good thing was that the fox couldn't harm his clanmates any longer.

DuskPelt dipped her head, accepting his idea. "To be fair, you only snapped because she drew blood and I said something. " She reminded him, not wanting him to blame himself for the distance between herself and Sakura. It was a rift she'd have to try to fix, if the she cat was going to be part of the clan.

"I don't even remember what you said, I must've been too angry. Are you thinking of going over to her now?" Yarrowfur asked. Sakura was alone now so there was that opportunity, but there might be plenty of other times where that would be the same, if the Clan cats continued to distrust her and keep their distance.

DuskPelt, after spending minutes debating, finally got to her paws. "I'm going to go over and talk to her" She finally said Touching her nose to YarrpwFurs cheek, she purred softly before padding over to Sakura. "I.. I wanted to say thank you for everything you did to help the clan today. And.. " The ginger pelted molly paused befoore rushing on. "I wanted to clear the air between us. We never really got the chance after that fight, and I don't feel right leaving things like that" Sitting down in front of the she-cat, the warrior wrapped her tail around her paws, giving Sakura a chance to reply.
