(Aww man, really? Now I feel bad for Elmsong AND Rapid.)
Silverpaw just stared at Irisheart for a moment before fully processing what just happened. He opened his mouth to say speak but no words came out, only a soft mewl. Then he dug his claws into the ground, hoping that the new patrol would kill the fox for what it had done. But at the same time he was afraid for them. That fox had crippled Asterpaw, taken two of Thymestar's lives, killed Elmsong and wounded Wovensight. It was terrifying how strong this fox was. Silverpaw wanted to go and look for Sakura and the others but he also didn't think it was right for him to leave camp now. So he just stayed where he was and hoped that Nightwhisker and the others were alright. Icewhisper froze at Irisheart's words and quickly closed her eyes in sadness. After a few seconds she looked over at Irisheart and Elmsong then she went over to Thymestar again, hoping that he wouldn't lose another live. She gently but still firmly placed a paw on him to indicate that he should just lay down and not move too much. While it looked like the bleeding had slowed Thymestar didn't seem to be any better and Icewhisper began to suspect that he had more than just external wounds and a broken rib. Darkclaw finally stepped back from the fox when he saw that Sakura was actually feeling sorry for it. He looked down for a moment, not wanting to feel bad for it too. Once more he thought of Thymestar and the rest of his patrol and after some hestitation he lifted his paw to deal the killing blow to the fox. Adderheart had let go of the fox's leg and stood back for a while before she gave a slight nod to Sakura. Then she went to stand beside Darkclaw, dealing a vicious blow to the fox as well, certain that both of their strikes were enough to kill it.
(Logging of now, I'll drop in around 2 AM EST again.)

Hearing the mewl coming from Silverpaw, Honeypaw left her brother's side to stand next to the smaller silver tabby tom. "Nightwhisker and the others will be alright. They'll be back soon." She murmured as she noticed him looking towards the camp entrance. She forced herself not to look towards Elmsong, grief clawing at her.
Spottedbreeze silently and diligently worked on stopping the bleeding of Thymestar's wounds, chewing up marigold to press against it as well. Her ears twitched in the direction of the cats around her, listening as her clanmates worked. She paused for a second when she heard Irisheart announced that Elmsong was gone. "StarClan, please take care of him." She murmured, closing her eyes for a brief moment of grief for her clanmate before she went back to tending to her leader.
Nightwhisker stepped back from the fox as it's body grew still and it's chest stopped rising after the killing blows delivered by the warriors. Panting, he glanced around at the cats around him to assess the damage. "Alright, let's get back to camp. Quickly. Can anybody not walk?" He asked, taking a few steps in the direction of camp. He was anxious to get back and check on Thymestar. How many lives did he lose already?
Palepaw crouched beside Wovensight, carefully licking around his mentor's wounds to help clean them. He lifted his head and looked towards Elmsong and Irisheart, eyes widening at the she-cat's announcement. His claws sunk into the dirt under his paws, anger rising inside him. That fox better be paying for everything it has done to his clan.

Wovensight smiled softly as he heard the voice of his mate, shifting just enough so that he could see her. "Hi love. I'll be fine. Just a bit of blood loss along eith having hit my head when the fox threw me. Are the kits okay?" (He has a mild concussion but it should clear up in a few hours)
Ferrettail didn't want to watch the scene anymore. A warrior was dead, the leader was basically dying, an apprentice was injured beyond reason, and a warrior was laid out while still trying to be sure his mate was okay before himself. Standing the mother rounded her kits up and began to lead them to nursery. "Come along little ones. It's... time for a nap. Or you can play in the nursery. But it is time to go inside."

(I'm sorry about your mantis Robin 😢)
Irisheart beckoned Flowerbreeze over with her tail, Flowerbreeze was too far to hear but she understood. She walked over and settled down next to her sister. "Thank you." Irisheart murmured back at Spottedbreeze's words. Mothstripe moved to sit by the edge of camp, watching Icewhisper work on Thymestar with worry.

Man this is sad. Two more lives for Thymestar)
Thymestar shuddered a little as he heard that Elmsong died. "Starclan help my clan" he rasped quietly. He then layed as still as he could. His breathing shallow as it hurt to breathe deeper.
"The kits are fine. I put them in the nursery so they wouldn't see all these injuries. I'm glad you're going to be okay." Snowdapple said touching her nose to Wovensight's and pressing up against him.
(I got a concussion once waking up from a nap. Jit my head on a shelf and got about a month behind in classes and failed a stats class)

(Also thanks phone for being dumb. 🤦♀️ okay, thanks morior)
DuskPelt paced outside the camp, before finally slipping into the entrance and padding towards the edge of camp near the nursery, watching the going ons. It was a hard day for the clan... She wondered what would happen now. It didn't look like ThymeStar would pull through, and the warrior sighed heavily.

Yarrowfur followed her, keeping up with her to stay at her side, brushing pelts with her and pressing his nose to her ear to comfort her. "Icewhisper will help them, they'll be alright." he said, not sounding very confident but at least a little more confident than Duskpelt.

DuskPelt purred her appreciation softly and leaned into YarrowFurs touch. "I hope so. I just fear what this will bring for the clan" She meowed softly as she stopped by the camp edge and turns to sit, gazing out at the clan. It was somber and quiet, and the molly wrapped her tail around her paws protectively. Leaning into her mate, she licked his cheek, letting his presence comfort her

Yarrowfur leaned into Duskpelt as well and nuzzled her gently. "Grief, fear, painful memories... at least the fox has been killed." He said, sitting close beside her and wrapping his tail around her. He watched the two black she-cats sitting over their lost brother and sighed, closing his eyes, pressing his cheek to Duskpelt's.

(Oh no. Sorry about your mantis Dusty, Robin.)
Darkclaw nodded at Nightwhisker's command to head back to camp. After just a couple of steps he stopped, looking at Sakura in surprise. He couldn't fully disagree with her but it also didn't sit quite right with him. "Just trying to survive? It didn't have to attack Thymestar's patrol for that," he muttered. For a moment he looked at the fox and then back at Sakura. He shook his head and sighed. "Fine. I'll help you bury it. But Nightwhisker should go back anyway. I think he needs to check on Thymestar." Adderheart looked back and forth between Nightwhisker and Sakura. The former loner had agreed to fight the fox, knowing that they might have to kill it, and now she wanted to bury it? But then again maybe it wasn't such a terrible idea. She wouldn't mind it if some crows found the fox but it could also attract other creatures. Adderheart turned to Nightwhisker. "It won't take too long. Maybe you can go back now and we'll come once we're done? We don't need even more dangerous creatures here. It would be better if they don't find the fox." She respectfully dipped her head to the deputy before she continued. "Please go see Thymestar. The three of us can handle this." Heronflight silently watched from her spot in front of the elders' den. While she sat too far from the group to make out what they were saying she could guess well enough what was going on. She slowly got up and padded over to them, sitting down next to Flowerbreeze and Irisheart but kept a bit of distance to give them space. Silverpaw glanced at Honeypaw out of the corner of his eyes. He knew she had no way of knowing for certain but he still felt grateful for her reasuring words. "You're right. I just wish they were back already," he said. Icewhisper went to check on Wovensight for a moment while Spottedbreeze tended to Thymestar. She nodded to Palepaw who was already cleaning Wovensight's wounds and brought some more cobwebs and herbs, chewing the latter into a poultice. Once she was done she applied the cobwebs and poultice to Wovensight's wounds, making sure it would stop the bleeding. She instructed Snowdapple and Palepaw to press the cobwebs to Wovensight for a while, until the bleeding slowed enough or stopped, and hurried back to Thymestar. Foxkit followed his mother into the nursery, not daring to look back at the other cats. He padded over to his nest and tried to sleep. Weaselkit wanted to protest as Ferrettail led her and her brothers to the nursery but thought better of it. She sat down by the entrance and tried to glimpse outside. Wolfkit nodded and followed the others. Once inside he sat down near Ferrettail. Rainsong sat outside the camp, near its entrance. He hoped that Nightwhisker and the others would be back soon, fearing that Thymestar would lose even more lives. Nightwhisker would probably want to go see him before that happened.
(Will be online again around the usual thyme.)

Nightwhisker eyed Sakura, his ears flattening a bit. He couldn't agree with her. While the fox may be surviving just like any other creature he couldn't look past the damage it had done, thinking about Wovensight, Thymestar, and Elmsong who all had to literally be dragged back to camp. "Do what you want with the body." He responded, though there was a bit of irritation in his voice. He glanced between Darkclaw and Adderheart and nodded his head towards them. "I'll meet you back at camp." He said before he turned and took off running through the territory back to camp to check on Thymestar and the others.
Honeypaw shifted uncomfortably. She didn't want to look at the injured cats anymore. It made her heart ache. And poor Asterpaw, now he had to put his training on hold.
Palepaw did as Icewhisper instructed, pressing cobwebs to Wovensight's wounds. His eyes were narrowed with concentration and worry but he remained silent, trying to keep calm and not freak out about it. Good warriors adapted to whatever was thrown at them without panicking, right?
Spottedbreeze took a small step back, looking carefully over Thymestar's body. He still looked like he was in so much pain but his wounds had been covered in cobwebs and marigold. She glanced towards the medicine cat who had left her to tend to Wovensight next. "Icewhisper, I think I've done all I can for Thymestar." She said quietly. Now they must wait to see if he would pull through.

Snowdapple followed the lead of Palepaw and pressing on the cobwebs on Wovensight's wounds. She cringed thinking she might hurt him but kept pressing any way.
Thymestar lay flat his breathing ragged. His mind kept flashing back to everything that had happened earlier that day. He sighed knowing he had led Elmsong to his death and possibly had caused his own death as well.
Ivysplash took the opportunity to take out the elders' old moss and put in the fresh moss that had dried for a couple days. They deserved comfortable nests after they went and buried Elmsong. They might have to bury Thymestar too he thought silently as he balled up old moss.
Turtlepool glanced in the direction of her denmate as she walked over to where flowerbreeze and irisheart sat nesr Elmsong's body. She decided not to follow as she didn't want to crowd them. The whole clan would mourn him at nightfall.
(Poor Thymestar doesn't have any family or close friends left to be so devastated thry bury their nose in his fur. It really is his thyme though) )

Robinbreeze Mothstripe watched as Nightwhisker returned to camp alone. That seemed to worry her a bit, and she left camp to go find the second patrol. She saw Sakura, Adderheart, and Darkclaw burying the fox. "So you killed it." She said, looking relieved though her voice was still edged with sadness for the injured cats. "At least the Clan won't have to worry about it again." she said, stepping in beside Sakura to help bury the fox.

"You think it was going to eat our warriors if it could?" Mothstripe shivered. "I'm glad we managed to get Thymestar and Wovensight back to camp in time then." She stared down at her paws somberly as she continued to shove more earth over the fox's body. "Things are not so good back at camp. We've lost one warrior already and we're worried Thymestar might also lose his final life. I believe he has lost two already. They can't do much for his wounds." she sighed.

"Thymestar received nine lives when he became leader. Over the course of his time as leader he has lost most of his lives, now he has only one or two left I would guess." Mothstripe explained. "If Nightwhisker has to make the journey soon to become leader, as he is the deputy he will be leader next, he will receive nine lives and be called Nightstar afterwards." she explained. "Asterpaw is okay, he may have a rough recovery ahead of him for his leg, but he will live. It was Elmsong, the warrior who brought Asterpaw back and told you where the fox attack was."

Mothstripe bit onto the fox's back and helped Sakura drag it into the hole. Part of her bristled at how casually Sakura seemed to be taking the news, but she tried to suppress it. She's new to the Clan and barely knows anyone well enough to care, She thought.

Darkclaw and Adderheart were in the middle of digging when Mothstripe showed up. Adderheart aknowledged her with a slight nod but kept digging while Darkclaw paused for a moment. When he heard about what was happening in camp he stepped back from the hole, no longer wanting to do anything for that fox. But just leaving it to rot wasn't the best option either. So he just went back to digging until Sakura told them that the hole was big enough. He and Adderheart then went over to Mothstripe and Sakura to help then drag the fox to the hole.
Rainsong remained where he stood, even as he saw Nightwhisker approaching. He dipped his head to the deputy, telling him to see Thymestar immediately. Then he waited for the rest of the patrol to return.
Silverpaw looked up when he caught a glimpse of Nightwhisker and was about to run over to him but then he sat back down instead, not wanting to disturb Asterpaw. Nightwhisker would come over to them anyway, to check on the injured cats.
Icewhisper nodded at Spottedbreeze's report. "Thank you," she meowed quietly. "There's not much more we can do for him now though, especially if he really did suffer some internal injuries." She sat down beside Thymestar anyway to see if there was a way to help him after all.

Mothstripe didn't spend any time to ponder over the fox, once it was buried she got up and started for camp without hesitation. "These things don't normally happen..." Mothstripe started to Sakura. "Foxes are rare on our territory, so are other dangerous animals like snakes and badgers..." she said.

Once the fox was buried the two tabbies made their way back to camp, following Mothstripe and Sakura. Darkclaw stopped for a second to look back at where they had buried the fox, then he continued padding after his clanmates. Meanwhile Adderheart had passed the other two she-cats, wanting to get back to camp as soon as possible. She slowed down a little when Mothstripe began to talk to Sakura.

Irisheart and Flowerbreeze curled around their brother, resting their heads on his back. Irisheart looked up and watched morosely as Icewhisper laid next to Thymestar. "If... If you ever you see Elmsong in StarClan, would you tell us?" she asked, and Flowerbreeze looked up at Icewhisper too. "It would just help us to know for certain that he's there." Flowerbreeze added. "Do you think Thymestar will lose his last life?" the younger sister asked.

Icewhisper looked up when Irisheart started talking. She looked at the two sisters for a moment, managing a sad but sympathetic smile for them and nodded. "Of course," she meowed softly. "Is there anything you want me to tell him too? He'll probably know but maybe you still have a few words for him." At the other question she just looked down at Thymestar. "It's very likely, I'm afraid. But if he does lose his last life I hope he knows that none of the cats that followed him blame him for what happened," Icewhisper said after a while. "But still, it will be hard for everyone. Especially with how much Thymestar has done for the clan." She got up for a moment, searching through her herbs to find some that could ease pain and didn't take much effort to eat and placed them in front of Thymestar, close enough that he could easily lick them up. If Icewhisper couldn't prevent him from losing his last life she wanted it at least to be as painless as possible for him.
