Do you think this was caused by StarClan or some supernatural force, or was it entirely coincidental?

It was probably coincidental. After all, StarClan was silent at the time.

I think it was StarClan telling Graystripe that he doesn't need to be the hero in order to contribute to clan life. It's probably just about a statistical impossibility that this would occur purely out of coincidence on the one night a warrior enters Mothermouth since the clans left; it's been over 3000 days since the clans left the forest.

I don't think it's StarClan causing it. They're desperate to be connect. Prob a more powerful or evil force.

Since it got obliterated when Graystripe was "praying" to them, it seems like it's more than a coincidence. I interpreted it as StarClan trying to say "We're still here" or something like that.
