(How do you feel about skipping to the next day, When they bury Rosestar.? Then we can figure out who should be in charge. I have a feeling that might be an argument in itself amongst some warriors.Maybe after they bury Rosestar, Meadowthorn and Runningflower can discuss names of the kits.?)

The sun slowly rose above the tree tops. Meadowthorn blinked slowly as her vison began to adjust to the light. She had laid out all night with his sister's body. She was stiff and sore from not moving. Her eyes were slightly crusty from tears and just staring into nothing for hours. Meadowthorn felt exhausted, physically and emotionally. Part of her wanted nothing more than to curl up in her nest and forget about everything else. But another part - the warrior part - knew better than that. She would have to help the clan survive until Goldentalon got better. Meadowthorn rose to her paws and stretched. She lashed her tail several times, careful to avoid the clanmates around her. Rosestar, I hope you are safe in StarClan, watching over us. Please, help us through this...Meadowthorn looked around the cats slowly waking and sighed heavily. "It is time for final goodbyes," she said softly to the clan.

The small silver tabby fur of Echodapple glistened as the sun started to rise. The medicine cat had sat with her long tail curled over her paws, the entire night. Her ice-blue eyes had stayed open and keeping watch over her grieving clanmates as she herself was saying her goodbyes to her leader. The medicine cat stood on stiff legs and weaved her way amongst her waking clanmates, nudging them gently as she passed them. She stopped next to Meadowthorn, her silver fur brushing the molly's golden tabby fur. She gave a soft nod to the sister of the fallen leader before turning to look at Rosestar's body one last time. She dipped her head down low, ears flattening in sadness.
Petalberry gave a soft nudge to her friend and denmate, Eaglethroat as Meadowthorn had announced that it was time. The small creamy tabby slipped up to Rosestar's body, giving it one last nuzzle. Her honey colored eyes glowed with love and sadness for her leader. Typically it was the elders job to bury their clanmates, but with only Eaglethroat and herself, she hoped her clanmates would help. She waited beside the white and golden patched molly's body. Adderspring and his sister Thistlefrost both slipped forward, padding straight up to Rosestar's body. They dipped their heads respectfully to Petalberry and then glanced at Meadowthorn, hoping the molly wouldn't take offense to them carrying Rosestar's body for the elders. Each of the ruddy ticked warriors took position on either side of their leader's body and lifted her up gently. Petalberry nuzzled under her head, so it didn't hang. Around them, warriors and apprentices alike sat with their heads bowed and ears flattened, speaking soft goodbyes to Rosestar for the last time.
Runningfire had slipped out of the nursery to watch them carry the body out of camp, tail dragging behind her. Her heart ached with sadness as she heard the meowling of the three kits the leader had left behind. 'I promise you that I will raise them as if they were my own. And they will know well of you and how you led us. We will miss you, Rosestar.' With that, the long-legged queen slipped back into the nursery, her snowy rosette fur almost covering the three kits that she curled back around. She nuzzled them closer, her heart swelling as the kneaded her belly and suckled from her.
