We all know the books aren’t afraid of throwing forbidden romance at us in each arc and while some of them are pretty disappointing or makes no sense, some can be pretty good too.
Which forbidden relationship do you like/love and which do you dislike/hate?
Do you think they should stop pushing forbidden romances or does it make the story more interesting?

My favorite forbidden relationship was probably Leafpool and Crowfeather.
Least favorite... maybe Alderheart and Velvet? I know it wasn't exactly a relationship, but it was heading in that direction. I felt like it was quite out of character for Alderheart and rushed, too.

I like how the Heather and Lion arc went down, it was an interesting twist on the usual forbidden relationship. The almost romance to enemies.
TPB Yellowfang’s hindsight narration of her doomed family was also very tragic, made a good read.
Dove and Tiger was probably my least favorite. The will-they-won’t-they was annoying, I hate her instant infatuation and his stereotypical dark, handsome, broody characterization. It was the least interesting forbidden relationship.

I agree that Heathertail and Lionblaze are interesting in the way they subverted expectations, I wish though the authors had gone through with the enemies part and made Heathertail an antagonist or villain, rather than just forgetting about her! |

Best: BristlexRoot Before you start judging me I just want to point out how kinda original this ship is first Bristle gives up her dreams over Stemleaf just Because he likes SPOTFUR of ALL CATS. Then Root reveals his crush on Bristle and they become a thing. I mean how many ships start with a crush during apprenticeship??? Worst: BluexOak I think everybody can relate with me on this one. It was just so rushed and When it was first introduced I thought the Erins just shipped them so that they can give Bluestar a history  |

Least Favorite: Crowfeather x Leafpool - I really liked Leafpool before she got with Crowfeather, she was my favorite protagonist of TNP, but after that, she changed.
Not to mention, their forbidden relationship resulted in Jerkfeather and Boringleaf, and it got the lives of SO many cats involved, that weren't even part of this illicit affair.
Not only did they drag three innocent kits into this, but Leafpool dragged her sister into this as well.
The Spottedleaf thing isn't an excuse either, she told Leafpool to follow her heart, a dedicated medicine cat would have chosen their clan the first time around, instead of only choosing them when they were in grave danger.
Favorite: I guess Squirrelwhisker x Eaglestorm.

i didnt like the lead up but the final outcome of dovetiger is probably my favorite
blueoak is my least fave because it just feels kinda shallow. graysilver also wasnt great.

My favorites are Crowfeather x Leafpool and Bluestar x Oakheart, while my least favorites Graystripe x Silverstream and Yellowfang x Raggedstar.

i agree with nettle about dovextiger. as much as dovextiger sucks on every single level (reason for them even being together, the love triangle drama, the toxicity, etc), the fact they could at least successfully be in the same clan without difficulty is a plus for it being the only couple to have a positive outcome...but let's face it, it only worked that way because tigerheart became leader and it was not an issue for dovewing anymore...
leaf x crow is badly written. i love the pairing bc of my nostalgia and bias for leafpool, but my god, is it written badly...i like it for the true love aspect as well, but when it was happening in TNP, it wasn't that great in hindsight.
heather x lion was okay, but like others said, the outcome was bad and it left a bad taste in my mouth as well.
bluexoak is an okay couple. i just wish, like with leafxcrow,that it was written better and had more weight behind it when it first starts.
and i hate grayxsilver. the fact it impacted graystripe's warrior and mentor duties so much makes it a bad pairing as well
bristle x root is horrible just like dovextiger. bristle's feelings are rushed and more than likely fake. root was fine moving on after a certain point, but bristle ruined it with her fake ass feelings coming from nowhere.
i dont think there's a single good forbidden couple? they're all bad in their own ways.

Favorite is GraySilver, least favorite is JayHalf.
Objectively (ish), I think GraySilver is the best forbidden romance in the series, although that might just be because it's the first and wasn't overdone. The worst is probably LeafCrow, which is touted throughout 4 arcs as an epic love that will last to the ends of time but was in fact just a one-night-stand with no introduction whatsoever.

Just realized I don't particularly care about the Canon forbidden relationships. The least offensive ones to me were Blueoak and Jaymoon. Worst are Yellowfang and Raggedstar or Mapleshade and Appledusk

The best couple is Gorsetail and Beechfur because they are the only modern couple with no drama.
I'm kidding. My favorite is Gray/Silver and my least favorites are Blue/Oak and Ragged/Yellow.

I thought LeafCrow was cute although rushed.
I disliked GreySilver because Greystripe turned rather nasty. It felt like a very shallow ship. We barely see them interact on page, yet the authors want me to see it as some epic, undying love story. They're still pushing it even today.
YellowRagged is a toxic mess.
BlueOak read like a one night stand or a fling instead of some deep we're-getting-back-together-in-heaven love. They barely had chemistry or cute moments. I remember being very unimpressed by Oakheart's trash water puns lmao

Best - HeatherXLion for me. If forbidden love wasn't so overused I'd actually really ship them.They had a cute "first love" dynamic that didn't feel like rushed lust, either. I lowkey ship BlueXOak, don't kill me.
Worst - LeafXCrow. The drama was fun to read about. It was...special. But I just don't like how Leafpool seems to pity Crowfeather so much. She admires his agility, and that's about it? We had some unresolved sexual tension throughout Starlight, and they end their relationship in the same way. It just feels...awkward. I'm not big on neither Mothpool or Crowpool. Leafpool's better off single.

Somehow, I like LeafxCrow. I just wish that LeafxCrow wasn't so rushed; it could have started development in Dawn rather than the end of Starlight. I started hating Crowfeather by the time PoT started, so I don't know. I still like the couple in TNP.
Least favorites are YellowxRagged and DovexTiger. I don't like Dovewing, I don't like Tigerheart, I don't like Bumblestripe being ruined for no real reason, and I especially do not like love triangles. I know a lot of people like this ship and I get why, it's nice that they are able to be a mature couple now. But it took an arc and a half plus a super edition to get there, and yet none of it feels earned.
As for YellowxRagged, I hate it for obvious reasons. Abuse, manipulation, just no.
As it stands, I actually love the forbidden love element in Warriors. Is it always well written? No, but very few relationships in this series are lol. But maybe I just like the chaos it provides 9/10.

Unpopular, but I LOVE LeafCrow and how they worked through their issues. I'm also quite fond of GraySilver
I don't like DoveTiger though I love Shadowsight. I also HATE BristleRoot
