Stormecho. The gentle morning breeze ruffled through a very pregnant queen's silver pelt, she stirred ears twitching and eyes blinking, unwillingly open. She roused just in time to spot her denmate; Shellsplash withdraw from the den, I hope she brings breakfast, but the request didn't part her lips. Whilst hungry, she could manage not devouring the first prey the dawn patrols would bring in. The elders or her denmate could enjoy that, and the season was fine enough that she didn't feel worried about where her next meal might come from. Instead the queen sat, comfortable in the privacy of her nest rather than out in camp where watchful and ever observant eyes seemed to have made it their hobby to keep an eye on her. Stormecho had never pitied queens much; it had never really crossed her mind. But now the nursery had been her prison for the better part of a moon, she was increasingly confused as to why murder wasn't a more common occurence in the clan. Soon enough, she had to remind herself, soon enough the kits would be here and the boring moons would be a memory of the past. If anything something she might well long for. However, soon enough never felt close enough, and she longed for her freedom to return. Surely no one will miss Scorchstreak too much, she wondered. The temptation was high, though this had been an agreed pursuit between the two of them, she was beginning to regret that decision more with every passing day. Particularly now she was round enough that the gentlest of pushes would flatten her, and the lightest gust of breeze would send her rolling down the nearest hill. With some effort the queen stood up, it took a couple of attempts. And she was grateful no one else was in the den to see her struggle, but she made the ascent quickly enough and made for the den's exit. Hopeful for the taste of fresh air in her lungs to cheer her up. Padding through the den's exit, she stretched out in the early morning sunlight. Casting a nervous glance about camp, before turning it to the den's exit. Wondering if anyone would notice an early morning escapade from the very pregnant huntress.
OOC: No problem, I hope you have a lovely day at work!

C O N C H P A W Conchpaw was not tall or weighty. His belly was soft, but his figure was slight, and someday, when he looked less like a kitten, and more like a hunter, he would be as slim and fat-less as his peers. It was for this reason that he had chosen to become a hunter, even though his dreams had been filled with sunny days, spent guarding the nursery he slept in.
His mother had once asked him if he would like to become a fisher, just as she had been before her lungs grew weak. In response, he had squared his tiny shoulders, still covered in fuzz, and had declared with a resounding mew, 'I will be a guard!' and she hadn't discouraged him. Instead, she had purred, and nuzzled the soft ginger fur on his cheek. 'Then I shall always be safe, won't I?' she asked.
For the first time in his life, Conchkit had been proud of himself. His future was certain, he had thought, but not long after that, he learned that certainty was only faith, and he had misplaced his. He was only three moons old, and he would never become a guard, because he had no mother to protect.
As Sharkpaw collided with him, he bent like a flower. He rolled down the hill like a stone, and when his tumbling stopped, a slump of sand fell over his head. For a moment, he clawed at the sky frantically. He couldn't see. His lungs burned, just like his eyes. After a moment, his nose broke through the surface, and he lurched upwards with a ragged gasp.
"My eyesβ...!"
Scrambling to his paws, the little tom swiped at his face. His voice sounded muffledβhe had sand in his ears, he realized, and between gasps and coughs, he shook his head wildly.
Sharkpaw!
With his eyes squeezed it shut, he turned in search of the other apprentice.
"Sh-Sharkpaw!" he mewled. "Where are you? A-Are you okay?"

β’Scorchstreakβ’ {With-Stormecho} [Location-Camp] The tall muscular shape of Scorchstreak, moved from the shadows at the camp entrance, as the bright orange and ashy grey Tom, slipped into camp, carrying a seabird. His green and yellow eyes, flashed, with pure joy and excitement as he spotted his mate, Stormecho. Padding up to the pretty multicolored Queen, he dipped his head towards her in a gentle greeting, setting the bird at her creamy white paws. Lifting his green gaze to her silvery blue, he spoke, his voice low and husky. βGreetings, My Dear. I thought you might be hungry, so I slipped away to catch you something fresh.β Running his tail along her flank, in a gesture of love, he pushed his nose into her shoulder fur, before asking. βHow did you sleep.? I know youβre getting restless in the nursery.β His gaze traveled to her swollen belly, joy flooding his gaze. Scorchstreak could not express how much happiness and excitement he had felt, when finding out that his mate was expecting kits. He boasted about it, quite frequently. His chest fur started to puff with excitement, knowing that his kits would be here before he knew it. He could not wait until the day that he would get to meet the precious little things. { midnightember}

Stormecho - - - Scorchstreak. {β₯ππ―π¬π°π±βπ¬π°π’β₯ }The young huntress was torn between delight at seeing her mate approach, and frustration that her attempts at an escapade had been quashed before she could even make an attempt at freedom. However, her delicate features were careful to hide the inner conflict, silver eyes only shining with affection. "Good morning," was her responding purr. Rubbing her head against his chin; given the size difference it was more or less the only part of him she could reach, unless she fancied taking out a leg to even the playing field. However, rounded and unsteady on her feet; any attempt would likely result in more of an injury to herself. The kits will definitely inherit his size, it would be just her luck she was certain of it. She would be surrounded by cats towering over her. Thankful to find he had at least some use, she lowered her nose to sniff at the bird, purring with gratitude. "I'm starving," she admitted, though that was hardly anything new. It seemed like the kits drained everything from her, no sooner had she done eating did she feel famished once again. During the early days of her pregnancy she had been plagued with morning sickness, even the most meagre mouse would turn her stomach. Stormecho was grateful that phase was long over, she had always been a fan of food, and it seemed strictly unfair that she had been unable to enjoy the benefits of being a mother for a good moon. Part of what kept her from hating the whole experience was the sheer excitement of her mate for becomming a father. She beamed inwardly at the image of the burly tom playing with their little ones, and it was what she clung to when life was interesting. Thank the stars its nearly over, though the anticipation of meeting her kittens was at least part of her eagerness of getting them into the clan. Disregarding that, she drew her tongue across her mate's shoulder, laughing at the ticklish sensation of his tailtip brushing against her rounded stomach. It was difficult to ignore, the area sensitive and the shecat shy by nature had struggled to get used to all the prodding and poking that was part and parcel of the pregnancy. But she knew Scorchstreak did it only with love, and could ignore it for his sake. Her frown was as brief and fleeting as lightning from the skies. "Well enough," she lied. Sleeping with shelter over her head and the stars hidden from view felt as unnatural as barking to the youngster, and she struggled to get comfortable nowadays. But there was no need to worry him with that. "Is the hunting fair?" She asked, hopeful to change the subject. One of her favourite things about the tom was how willing he was to help where he could, even as a guard he was still a fairly talented hunter, though she was biased given he had brought her one of her favourite prey items. As well as his size, I hope they inherit his talents, she smiled, proud if a little embarrassed of the thought. The familiar sensation of kicking roused in her flanks, she grumbled. It was like tiny ants crawling over her skin, and something that still made her nervous. "Now you've done it, you've woken them up," she chuckled shaking her head. Lowering to grasp the seabird by a wing and lifting upright. "Now you've ruined any chances for a nap, do you fancy sharing this with me?" Her melodic tones were slightly muffled by the feathers.

Chiapaw -- with Tallfin, Screepaw // camp
"Sure thing!" Chiapaw chirped in response, following behind the tall warrior. His next comment made her eyes go wide with wonder, her thoughts taking her to what a life might be like as a medicine cat apprentice. She surely enjoyed Coralshine the few times she'd interacted with her, and Chiapaw's curiosity always left her with a hunger for information. "Oh, wow, you really think so, Tallfin?" She asks, not entirely understanding the joke. "I could never take Tumblepaw's position, he's so good at it already, it'd take me forever to know as much as he does! Plus, I'm positive I was born to be a hunter." Chiapaw puffs her chest out in pride, feeling confident in her abilities and in her choice. Her fur was prickling with excitement knowing that the Choosing Ceremony could be any day now.
Surprisingly, Chiapaw quiets down as they approach Mangotuft and Screepaw and she takes after Tallfin, dipping her head to the two mollies in greeting. Her eyes move back and forth between Tallfin and Screepaw, watching the way the two interacted as mentor and apprentice, surprised that her would actually let his apprentice to hunt on her own. It made Chiapaw wonder if her mentor would let her brave the territory on her own, then she quickly decides that she'd much rather be accompanied by someone.
Excitement begins to bubble up once more as she thinks they're about ready to leave, but it quickly subsides as Mangotuft runs off. However, her expression brightens as soon as she realizes that Berrypaw might be joining them. "Oh! Berrypaw is coming too?" She asks Tallfin with a grand smile.

Tiderunner -- with Honeybee // crescent cove
Tiderunner's purrs shook his whole body, his pelt warmer as he hears her tell him she loves him. Her nuzzles her legs once more before finally rolling on to his paws. He stretches out, haunches high in the air before standing tall. "Alright, enough lazying around, Honeybee." Tiderunner grins, green eyes fixated on his mate. "Let's go do something, shall we?" With that, the sandy yellow tom jumped off the rock and trotted forward. He glances back to the queen and nods his head. "How does a nice swim sound to you?" Coralshine -- with Plumeriabreeze & Cattlespot // heading to palm circle
Confirming that the two were following her, Coralshine squeezes through the camp entrance, moving quickly out onto the beach. The sand felt warm under her paws, heated from the sun. The somali made a note in her head that she may need to start making a cooling paste soon for the cats' pads when the sun made the sand unbearably hot. She smiles at her patrol mates comments, looking back at the two once they finally went out on the beach with her. "Plumeriabreeze you are absolutely right! It is a rather beautiful day out, though I'm sure the heat will become too much the further into the season we get." Coralshine responded.

β’Scorchstreakβ’ {With-Stormecho} [Location-Camp] Scorchstreak couldnβt stop the shivers of happiness that ripples along his flank, as the pretty queen rubbed her head against his chin. Closing his eyes, he felt a purr, rumbling deep inside his chest. Feeling her tongue run along his shoulder, he opened his eyes, letting out a soft chuckle as she laughed when his tail ran along her flank. Pulling away from her, as she lifted the bird upright, he sat back on his haunches, tail curling around his ashy grey paws. He gave a slight nod of his head at her question of sharing, before responding to her question of hunting. βIt was pretty easy to catch that bird. I picked up the scent of quite a few things out there.β Giving his chest fur a few quick licks, to smooth it back out, he let out a soft purr. βIt was nice to get out and stretch my legs. Even though Iβm not a hunter, I felt the urge to go out today.β Pausing for a moment, his gaze flickered towards her, playfully. βPlus. It gave me a reason to come and bother you, before I actually go about my day.β Giving her a gentle nudge, his voice became silky smooth and full of love. βI canβt wait to see our kits join us in this world. To teach them the ways of our clan.β He couldnβt help but think about them running around, getting under everyoneβs paws, causing mischief. βThey have such a wonderful mother to raise them and love them.β His eyes flashed with worry, for such a split second, it was hard to even catch it. His gaze rested on her swollen belly again. He couldnβt help but worry about his mate, as well as his unborn kits. Anything could happen in this life, and he knew that, more than anyone. Having his own neat-death experience, it made him worry all the more about his own family, and all that could happen to them. βYou have the first bite, My Love.β He spoke softly, running his tongue along her back, grooming her, as he gave her time to eat.

Pearlstone Pearlstone slithered through the water like a fish. This was her favorite part of the day. She relished feeling the water slick through her fur, the salt stinging her eyes. It was as though the sea was part of her and she was part of it. She spotted another fish and swam for it.Screepaw
Screepaw shrugged. "I always choose the bay," she mewed as though the answer was simple, "my pelt blends in with the landscape and I can move nimbly around the rocks. I bring in more prey." That was something she'd learned through her time in training; play to your strengths.

γ Echokit γ 3 moonsβ β βtomβ β βunknown for nowβ β βkit Echokit is a tiny , thin, and somewhat fuzzy furred tom with pointy ears. He looks much like his rogue father with a stark white coat and long white whiskers. He's got a bright pink nose with a black dot on it. As for his eyes, Echokit has odd colored eyes. His left eye is blue and his right is yellow. Like most kits, Echokit is full of energy and could probably bounce off the nursery's walls if possible. He's a rambunctious, young kit with a lot of vim and vigor to him. Though he doesn't have any experience in life, he is quite proud of his small achievements. He may be too fiery at times for one to handle. He's also sly as a fox, but sometimes it doesn't work out in his favor. After all, being as young and small as he is not that helpful. Nonetheless, he makes do even if it ends in a failure or success. Echokit doesn't remember anything at all about Turtleheart or his littermates. However, he's got Piperstorm, who he relies on. He sees her as his supporter and she's also the one cat he looks up to the most. He hopes to one day be as strong-willed and ambitous as she is. His mother was Turtleheart, who died during childbirth along with his three littermates who were stillborn. His father is a rogue. His adopted mother is Piperstorm, who was Turtleheart's best friend. γ Rippleclaw γ 65 moonsβ β βtomβ β βbisexualβ β β fisher Rippleclaw is a tall, short furred tom. He's not as lanky as he used to be, but he makes up for that in his duties. He's got a medium grey coat with white socks on his back paws and white on his front paws. Over his grey coat are marbled smoky black tabby markings. He's got a long, thick tail with a black tail tip and a splash of white going from his chin to the top of his belly. Rippleclaw has warm copper eyes. A very enthusiastic feline, Rippleclaw is in everyone's corner. He's big on supporting everyone, including his kits. One could say he's similar to a cheerleader. He is also quite warm and friendly around his clanmates, rarely passing up the chance to talk or join a patrol. He's paternalistic as he has three living kits who he thinks the world of. However, this may lead to some intrusive behavior or being too benevolent. It can come across as irritating or overbearing, especially if Rippleclaw is doing it too much. When it comes to following the standards of Clan life, he's not exactly the type of cat for it. The same goes for thinking much of anything as well because Rippleclaw's uncritical. He's casual as can be and doesn't bother to put up a fuss. Whatever another cat might think is best for him, he will go with the flow without a single doubt. His mate Waterglow, is deceased because she saved their daughter Palefeather (Palepaw at the time) from an eagle. He holds no ill will towards his kit and fully understands that Waterglow was willing to do anything for their young. He's also quite proud of Seagullstar, his son, who is leader despite his kithood being rough as the runt of his litter. As for Tallfin, he enjoys telling the story of his name and sometimes exaggerates on it. Mate was Waterglow, who died saving Palefeather from an eagle. Living kits are Seagullstar, Tallfin, & Palefeather. Dewkit, Greykit & Shalekit are deceased as they died from kitten cough.

Stormecho - - - Scorchstreak. {β₯ππ―π¬π°π±βπ¬π°π’β₯ } Her suggestion validated, the shecat turned and padded a short distance away, somewhere they might sit and enjoy the early morning sun. Though with the added bonus of being a little further out of the way of the clan's watchful eye. It was all in her head, she knew that much, but the shy queen preferred privacy anyway. Even where the observant gazes were a figment of her imagination. "Lucky foxdung," Stormecho responded shaking her head. Settling down with a yawn, stretching out her long, fluffy paws as she kneaded deep into the earth underground. Leaving the mud scuffed up as she got comfortable. "I'd give my hindleg to be able to go hunting again," she admitted, trying not to sound half as resentful as she felt. "Though at this size I believe most of the guards, even these kits are probably more adept hunters right now," she added with a lighter tone, not wishing to pester the tom with endless complaints, however tempting the idea was. There were far worse jobs, she knew that much, and she doubted a tom who had worked hard for his clan all day while she lay dozing wouldn't be overly fond of hearing just how hard her life was. Her smile was amused as she listened to him daydream about the unborns, tearing a piece from the bird and beginning to carefully devour it. "I hope so," she said with a shrug, happy to let him take control of the conversation; a common occurence. "All I hope is that they come soon," the quicker the better s far as she was concerned at that point.

Kite - at Rockbound Bay w/ Blazeheart - highprinceβAck, seriously?! But no cat cat can live that long!β Kite paused, as, for the first time that day, a thought crossed her usually empty head. βWait, are you messing with me? Thatβs so mean!β She huffed. Despite her words, she didnβt look particularly annoyed- even if she hated being tugged along like that, itβs the kind of thing sheβd find funny if it happened to somebody else. She parsed out what she could from the she-catβs jokes, but the only thing she could really trust as being accurate was the group of cats living here- anybody with a nose could tell that. βYou better tell me the truth!β She shook her head, though her tone wasnβt particularly threatening- and with her soft fur and thin features, she didnβt exactly cut a menacing figure. Leopardtail - in Camp w/ Dovepaw - ππ«π’ππ« β₯Leopardtail rolled his eyes as hard as he could in his skull- he didnβt like apprentices much, but at least the other ones would do what you told them to without a fuss. Not Dovepaw, though- he had to make himself a royal pain in the tail. Who cared if Leopardtail had come huffing at him first? Warriors instructed, apprentices followed. Dovepaw should be able to handle some verbal nips around the ear. If his mother had dealt them, heβd probably have a better temper. βDonβt slack off while we fish just because Iβm not your mentor.β He called to the younger tom. βIβm taking your performance today as an impression on how your training is going.β At least being at the beach would make him feel better- it would be easier to tune out Dovepaw once they got fishing. He made a mental not to speak for Pearlstone about her foul-mouthed apprentice as he stalked after Dovepaw, making sure his expression remained carefully neutral.

β’Scorchstreakβ’ {With-Stormecho} [Location-Camp]Following his mate to a sunny, but more secluded area of the camp, the large tom waited for her to get comfortable, before sitting beside her. As she was getting comfortable, and speaking, he listened to her intently, ears pricked up, and his bright green eyes on her pretty masked face. He nodded his head, in understanding to her wanting to be out hunting. He couldnβt imagine being trapped up in camp all the time. βYouβll be out hunting, before you know it. I know how restless youβve been.β He gazed fondly at her, as she began to eat. βI admire you, Stormecho. I know from watching you carry our kits, it hasnβt been easy. And keeping you trapped in camp, has made it worse.β He leaned forward, his tongue running over her ear, purring gently to her. βI promise when the kits are here, you can slip away, while I keep my eye on them. I owe you that.β Scorchstreak relaxed even more, curling his paws underneath his chest, his side, pressing comfortably against his mate. He leaned forward, taking a small bite of their food, wanting to leave more for her to eat. He closed his eyes halfway, tail moving to rest on Stormechos, as he slowly chewed his food. Enjoying the precious morning sunlight and the gentle presence of the queen. Swallowing his food, he started grooming her back, pausing in between licks, to speak to her. βWould you like to go out for a small walk.? Stretch your legs a little.? I could take you out, just so you arenβt alone. I donβt think itβll cause any damage to get some air outside of camp.β{midnightember}

echokitaccompanied by open | nursery Echokit was growing increasingly bored with the nursery despite only being stuck in there for a short amount of time. With Shellsplash, Honeybee, and Stormecho out of the den, it was just him, all on his lonesome blue. But of course, this gave Echokit an opportunity that every kitten would take advantage of. He was confident that not a single cat would notice him anyways.
The tiny white tom shook out his fuzzy, unruly pelt before wobbling his way over to the entrance, his small head barely sticking out of the palm leaves and reeds. His pointy tail thrashed back and forth, excitement coursing through his small frame. He launched himself forward, trying not to squeal as he didn't want any cat to know he left the safest and only den he only knew. Maybe, just maybe, Echokit could get away with his scheme. image source - pexels

Piperstorm open // in camp βοΈβοΈββοΈβοΈ
Last night had been filled with strange dreams for Piperstorm, so she had gotten out of her nest before the dawn and headed out to do a bit of hunting - just to keep her mind busy. She of course, had stopped by the nursery and made sure Echokit was still cuddled up in his nest. Sometimes she slept in there with him, other times she stayed away, worried that he might think she was trying to smother him.
The light colored molly had ended out at Palm Circle and returned to camp now with a mouse and two shrews hanging from her jaws. Nodding to Coralshine, Cattlespot, and Plumeriabreeze as they passed her, the huntress squeezed by them. Her pale green eyes burned with pride as she padded through the entrance, carefully navigating the driftwood like only a CoastalClan cat could.
The sunshine fell across her tabby pelt, warming her short fur and causing a purr to lighten her chest. She cast a cursory glance around the camp, noting that Tallfin appeared to be taking out a patrol and Orchidbloom seemed to be bleeding from a small wound in her shoulder. Briefly placing her fresh prey in the sand, she called out to the other molly. "Hey, get attacked by your nest?" though her question was sarcastic, her concern was genuine.
Orchidbloom jumped, so absorbed in trying to pull the thorn out of her fur that she hadn't noticed Piperstorm's attention. She turned her soft green eyes towards the hunter, flicking an ear before smiling a bit ruefully. "Actually, yes. It appears a thorn crept into my bedding while my back was turned," Orchidbloom joked, trying to make light of the blood trailing down her leg. The thorn had gone in deeper than the collector had originally thought and it was bleeding quite a bit now, beginning to soak into her paw.
"Coralshine just left camp, but maybe you should have Tumblepaw take a look at that," Piperstorm suggested, tilting her head to one side. She needed to put her prey away in the small cave but she didn't just want to leave Orchidbloom alone with her shoulder either.
Mangotuft Berrypaw // in camp βοΈβοΈββοΈβοΈ
The molly gave a huff, searching a few nests for the scent of the young apprentice. She was about to give up on ever being able to find Berrypaw. Maybe she disappeared? What if she'd been taken? Like by the seals? A gasp escaped Mangotuft as her imagination ran away with her. She began to feel worry bubble up in her throat. Not Berrypaw... she is so young. I need to tell her parents! Oh and poor Chiapaw! We have to find the seals and get her back!
The huntress had truly worked herself up into a panic now and was about to turn and alert Tallfin to their dire situation when a voice reached her ears. Was that...? No, could it be? Mangotuft turned and couldn't stop the smile of relief on her face when she saw Berrpaw standing before her.
Rushing forward, the reddish brown molly touched noses with the she-cat - the customary CoastalClan greeting, before giving her a brief nuzzle on the forehead. "Oh thank StarClan! I thought - well, never mind. Tallfin and I are going on a hunting patrol and we wondered if you and Chiapaw wanted to tag along?" she asked, all her negative emotions already disappating and being replaced by her normal bubbly self. She bounced on her paws, overjoyed that Berrypaw hadn't been taken by seals! Now they could go hunting! Goldentide with Lioncrest // Clearwater Beach βοΈβοΈββοΈβοΈ
"Excuses, excuses," Goldentide chuckled under his breath, though even he knew that it was nearly impossible to keep up with the fishers. All cats were taught to swim in CoastalClan but the fishers were trained to swim far better and farther than most other rankings. He snorted at his brothers comment about the bickering, not disagreeing in the least. Those two could fight for hours and had to be physically separated in camp just so everyone else could get a little peace.
Letting the water lap at his paws, the light golden tabby stared off into the water. His thoughts briefly flashed to patrols, worried that he hadn't seen a guard patrol go out in a while. Part of him wanted to turn around and march back to camp, ready to work. But he'd promised his brother he'd go swimming with him.
Sighing, Goldentide slipped deeper into the water, shivering as the cold sunk into his skin. It would take a few moments for him to be used to it. Wading deeper, until the water came up to his chest, the tom peered at his brother. "Remind me why I let you talk me into this again?" he questioned, though his tone was much lighter and less harsh than it could have been. Sharkpaw with Conchpaw // at Velvet Dunes βοΈβοΈββοΈβοΈ
His heart was still thundering in his chest and Sharkpaw wondered dully if everyone in the world could hear it. He couldn't seem to get enough air into his lungs, his body flailing in lack of oxygen. Each mouthful was more sand, his nose clogged with grit. Part of him just wanted all the fear and guilt to go away. Coughing sporadically, the tom's claws desperately dug into the sand, his eyes watering from irritation.
Finally he seemed to get into a sitting position and hack up a majority of the sand, pulling fresh, sea air into his lungs. His chest and throat burned with each inhale but he refused to quit. No matter what dark thoughts he'd had moments before in a fit of desperation, Sharkpaw was no quitter. He blinked his eyes frantically to clear them, his legs and shoulders screaming with protest at the abuse he'd just shown them by running without limits. He'd be sore for a while, that was for sure.
Conchpaw's voice reached his ears and his pulse spiked again, his watery amber gaze searching the dunes for any sign of the orange apprentice. How could he have forgotten the smaller apprentice? He staggered to his feet, his legs shaking with the effort it took to hold himself upright.
"Conchpaw?" he called hoarsely, coughing directly afterwards. Finally he spotted the tom a little ways further up another dune. "Over here, are you alright?" he rasped, stumbling towards the friendly apprentice. He couldn't believe he'd let himself get so lost inside his head. Once more, this was his fault.
Pearlpaw with Dunepaw // in camp
βοΈβοΈββοΈβοΈ
The white furred apprentice shrank back in shock at the hostile tone of Dunepaw's voice. She knew he usually was a bit on the grumpier side, a lot like Dovepaw, but she hadn't really done anything wrong. She'd just woken up and was unprepared to be snapped at this early in the morning.
"I don't know, I just... sorry," Pearlpaw flinched when her second apology slipped out, her tone barely above a whisper. She really was worried she'd done something to upset the younger apprentice and that made her meek. Scooting back a bit, she nearly bumped into Reefpaw, but luckily stopped herself just in time. That would have just been plain embarrassing.

Stormecho - - - Scorchstreak. {β₯ππ―π¬π°π±βπ¬π°π’β₯ } Whilst she had never been one overly fond of public displays of affection, she could appreciate a helpful itch in the places she couldnβt each as easily now she sported a belly the breadth of a badger. Her purr was a rumbling melody, cuddling close to his flank as they enjoyed their shared meal quietly for a moment. Somethings definitely wrong if my mate is more useful than I am, she considered with a twitch of her whiskers. She hated feeling like a burden, and thatβs all she had ever felt like the moment sheβd moved into the nursery. She smiled, as much as she teased him she was more grateful for him than words could ever have described, she leaned up a little to nuzzle between his ears affectionately. βYou can get your tail that youβll have some babysitting duties while I stretch my legs,β she said teasingly solemn. Wiping her paws across her maw briefly, ridding it of something residual blood, letting her mate finish what remained of the seabird. βItβs fortunate I love you, otherwise Iβd have killed you from boredom of being stuck in one place for too long,β Stormechoβs whiskers twitched. She seemed surprised at his offer, and looked at him curiously, wondering if this might be some cruel prank. In their younger days that wouldnβt have been unheard of, but she doubted he would be so meaning knowing just how thoroughly bored she currently was, which meant this was probably an honest suggestion. βI think youβll have difficulty shepherding me back to camp if you do bring me outside,β Stormecho admitted after a moment of thought. Once she had a taste of freedom, she couldnβt quite picture having to return to confinement for StarClan knows how long. βBut if your willing to try I wonβt say no?β

β’Berrypawβ’ β’-Mangotuft/Tallfin/Chiapaw -|-Camp-|-[little blu β₯ /ππ«π’ππ« β₯ /πππππ’ ]-β’ Berrypaw couldn't help but give a little purr of content as the older she-cat greeted her and then nuzzled her between her ears. She blinked at her in a happy greeting, her dark green eyes meeting the hunters light green eyes as a thought passed through her mind. 'I swear Mangotuft sure could keep any cats spirits up.' She would never get use to how bubbly and happy Mangotuft could get, especially when finding whoever she was looking for. That was part of the reason she enjoyed doing anything with the reddish brown molly.
Her happiness quickly jumped to a burst of excitement at the mention of her sisters name, Chiapaw. Any chance she got to be with her sister, always made her day. Ever since they were tiny kits, she'd been close to her sister, closer than the rest of her family. It was easiest to get along with her, especially because it felt like she understood her the most. Being pretty small, compared to the rest of her clan, Berrypaw often felt she had more to prove, had to train harder. Her sister, often made that struggle with things, a lot easier to bare.
"I'd love to go out hunting with you all! It'll be nice to bring back some fresh prey for our clanmates." She paused for a minute, giving a flick of her ears and a small chuckle, her voice soft and joking. "Though, With these little legs, You'll all be able to outrun me." As she joked around, she picked up her front right leg and wiggled it around, before placing it back on the ground, eyes full of laughter.
As she finished speaking, she gave a little hop, before flicking Mangotuft with her tail, gently. With a nod, she trotted towards where she could see Chiapaw and Tallfin waiting for them. As she approached them, she gave a gentle dip of her head, as a sign of respect, towards the tall, silver and white tom that was near her sister. "Greetings, Tallfin. I'm glad to be coming out hunting."
After greeting the tom, Berrypaw turned to her sister, green eyes sparkling with excitement. She touched her nose gently to Chiapaws, meeting her sisters bright yellow eyes. "I'm excited that we get to go out hunting together." She purred quietly towards her ear.
β’Scorchstreakβ’ β’-Stormecho -|-Camp-|-[midnightember ]-β’
The large orange tom couldn't help but let out a deep rumble of laughter at his mates teasing. He adored her, especially with how feisty she could get at times. He always knew she was kidding, especially when it came to him. On the days she was in a more down mood or agitated mood, he never took it to heart. Especially since she had become pregnant with his kits. He often enjoyed her teasing and picking at him, especially when she joked about sending him to Starclan.
"You know, You'd miss me if you took me out." He teased back, his green eyes full of amusement. "Plus. What makes you think a little thing like you, could take me out." His voice was full of a joking challenge, as he nudged her shoulder, pulling himself up, so he towered over her. He knew she'd take on the challenge, if she wasn't so large and unsteady. He couldn't help but tease her about their size difference. Especially right now, when she could barely bat a paw at something, without falling over.
Finally, blinking away is laughter and becoming more serious, he nudged under her shoulder, offering to help her to her paws. "I think I can accept the challenge of trying to herd you back into camp." He flicked his ears up, eyes filling with a gentle understanding for Stormecho as he thought to himself 'Who would want to be trapped for moons, in one area.' Before suggesting. "How about we try to make it to Sea Star Grove.?"
His mind flashed back to the day he had brought her there to confess his feelings for her. The large guard, had actually been quite nervous that day. Stumbling over his words, until the moment he told her that he loved her, and how beautiful she was to him. As well as how much he admired her spirit and mind. At that moment, he could speak with such ease, so sure of who he wanted by his side. Scorchstreak couldn't think of one moment, he has regretted asking the queen to be his mate.

Shellsplash -- with Seagullstar // camp
Shellsplash can feel her pelt grow hot when she feels his hazel gaze on her belly, excitement coursed through her and she gives him a sheepish smile. Her expression brightens when he agrees, knowing he would. She's also not sure how much longer she can get away with using that excuse, knowing that Seagullstar was bound to reject her offer one of these days. The lilac point molly leans over and presses her nose right to his cheek, shutting her eyes and letting out a satisfied sigh. "And you as well, how else are you going to keep up with our kits when they come tumbling out." Shellsplash adds an affectionate lick before nudging him towards the fresh-kill pile.
"Pick out something juicy, I'll wait for you by your den." She tells him, giving her mate a reassuring smile before turning and padding towards the formation of rocks that made up the den.
Reefpaw -- with Pearlpaw & Dunepaw // camp
Grunting awake, Reefpaw slowly lifts his head and clears his throat, squinting with a sleepy gaze at his sister and Dunepaw. The black and white tom had already been waking up, but hearing his sister yelp had lulled him from his dreams and now he could feel her almost tumbling into him. Blinking his eyes open, Reefpaw looks between the two and tries to assess what exactly had happened before he'd woken up.
"What's going on with you two?" He asked, taking a moment to stretch before sitting up. Reefpaw wraps his tail protectively around his sister, sharp gaze lingering on Dunepaw before looking down to Pearlpaw. "You okay?" He asked her.
Chiapaw -- with Tallfin, Mangotuft, Screepaw & Berrypaw // camp
How excited was Chiapaw? Well her fur stuck out like a pufferfish the moment she saw her sister, her compact body shivered as she purred. She returned Berrypaw's greeting before shoving her whole head under her sisters chin, nuzzling close to the other. "I'm so excited too! I can't wait to go out hunting together once we finally get our mentors!" Chiapaw chirped gleefully. Either the young molly had forgotten any mention of her sister wanting to be a collector, or she truly believed that they would always be together, meaning they'd train under the same rank.
Chiapaw couldn't imagine a life without Berrypaw. She wouldn't describe her kithood as rough, but between their brothers' neglect and the lack of presence from their father, Chiapaw knew she would've had a much lonelier time if she didn't have her sister by her side. The two practically shared everything together, even curling up around one another to fall asleep. It just might break poor Chiapaw's heart to finally realize that she wouldn't be training right alongside her sister.
Detaching from her sister, the black and white striped apprentice bounded over to Mangotuft. "Does this mean we can finally leave now?" She asks, almost sounding impatient, her paws just itching to be outside of camp.

C O N C H P A W Hearing the other apprentice's voice, Conchpaw turned to look in his direction. His eyes remained closed as he moved, and sunlight turned the darkness beneath his eyelids into a bleary pink glow.
"Y-Yeah!" he meowed after a moment. Sitting down on the soft yellow dune, he lifted his paw to lick it. Sand crunched between his teeth as he wiped his eyes, and tears slid down the curve of his nose as he opened them. Looking towards Sharkpaw, he chuckled as his dark shape swam between his eyelashes. "I got sand in my eyes, is all," he explained. "Imagine what Mantispaw will say when she sees me!"
Shaking the sand from his ears, he wiped his eyes once more. After a moment of thought, he feigned an excited pose. "Conchpaw!" he chirped in a high voiceβmuch too high to sound like Mantispaw. "What happened? Your eyes are so puffy! You look like a puffer fish! Or do puffer fish look like you? Let's catch one to find out!"
With a giggle, he seemed to forget about the other apprentice as he pondered the hypothetical antics of his friend. After a moment, he turned to look at him again, however. His eyes were squinted, not scornfully or with concern, but out of pain. It didn't stop him from prodding him with a question, however.
"I'm..." he paused to judge his next words carefully, "a little worried, though," he said. "Usually, you wouldn't let something like this happen."
You're much too full of yourself to risk an embarrassment.
"Areβ... Is everything alright?"

( starting with three for now. lemme know if anything needs to be changed! either Baymist or Palmshade is going to die from the mysterious illness... haven't decided which yet. Saltpaw could also get sick and come close to death or something, but he'll probably survive out of sheer spite tbh ) 35 moonsβ β βtomβ β βbisexualβ β βcollector Baymist is a chocolate brown tabby with white paws, a white belly, a white chin, and - you guessed it - a white tipped tail. He has misty blue-green eyes that are usually wrinkled in an inviting smile. An aesthetically pleasing combination of strength and grace, he has a well-muscled but lanky body and long legs; sturdy but agile, built for endurance. He has a notch in his left ear from the time he got too close to a crab in the Vanishing Pools as an apprentice. Whoops. Friendly and easily distracted, Baymist has always been a bit airheaded. Since he was young, he's had an insatiable curiosity that has sometimes gotten him in trouble. It wasn't uncommon for him to wander off during training because he'd heard the song of a bird he'd never heard before and wanted to see what it looked like, or to pester his mentor each morning with a million questions. To the surprise of absolutely nobody, he decided to train under the collector specialization. He used to be quite nosy, as well, but he's learned his lesson; there are some things that a cat is better off not knowing. Plus, others seem to like you better when you're not constantly poking your nose into their affairs. He has maintained a youthful fascination with life that's pretty endearing. Though he can be tactless, he's sweet and approachable and very easy to talk to. When he hasn't got his head in the clouds, that is. open to romanceβ β βopen to familyβ β βn/a Tealraven γ Palmshade γ23 moons β β βmolly β β βaromantic asexual β β βhunter Palmshade is an incredibly feminine looking cat. She has a slender, flexible frame and small, delicate paws. She has tall ears and finely pointed features, hinting at oriental heritage. Her silky calico fur is long but thin, with more white than black and orange. She has golden eyes with flecks of brown around the pupil and a very pink nose. She walks with a slight limp due to a shoulder injury. Palmshade has always gotten a lot of attention for her looks. She used to soak it up when she was a little thing, sauntering around the nursery to the purrs of older cats. Look at her, isn't she just precious? Having to share the spotlight with other apprentices came as a bit of a shock. She learned that she couldn't simply sweet talk her way into getting what she wanted; she'd have to earn it through hard work. She also learned that not all attention is good attention. During her training, she went from cute to pretty, and sometimes found it hard to get other cats to leave her alone. Older apprentices would insist on doing everything for her, toms especially. Palmshade originally wanted to be a guard, but faced some pushback for this because she wasn't naturally built for the occupation, or, in the words of one who shall go unnamed, she was "too soft and pretty; mollies like you are better suited to the nursery." Unfortunately, a training accident left her with a permanently injured shoulder, preventing her from being able to defend the clan efficiently. So Palmshade pulled an abrupt one-eighty, becoming a hunter instead and growing more abrasive as she got older. Highly independent and defensive, she refuses to accept help from others, and often mistakes genuine kindness for pity. She wakes up early, eager to be the first out on patrol. She's quick to speak up in conversation and offer suggestions. Anything to prove her capabilities. It seems the insecurity from her accident has stuck with her, many moons later. n/a β β βperhaps should could be a sister to Makojaw?* β β βn/a Tealraven *I mean. just imagine these two competing for attention when they were little. between Palm's feisty attitude and Mako's ego, they could be an entertaining pair. up to you of course ^^ ππ«π’ππ« β₯ γ Saltpaw (-whisker) γ8 moons β β βtom β β βheteroflexible β β βfisher trainee Saltpaw has a short, dense coat of subtle off white fur. It's not pure white like a puffy cloud on a sunny day - it's the color of antique lace or ocean foam. His colorpoint markings are subtle, too. His paws, his ears, the end of his tail, and his face are shade of lilac-grey so faint it's hardly noticeable. His eyes are an unusual translucent green, like seaglass. His pads and the inside of his ears are soft seashell pink. He also possesses an athletic body and lean, powerful legs to propel him through the water after his prey. Saltpaw spends so much time in the water he might as well be more fish than cat at this rate. Nothing is so exciting to him as the thrill of chasing a slippery fish through the choppy surf, matching its quick and elusive movements like for like. That said, fishing seems to be the only thing he enjoys. Saltpaw was named for his fur color, but he has a temperament to go with it. He's awfully pessimistic for a young cat; shrewd and cynical, he likes to think of himself as a realist, but usually comes off as a wet blanket instead. He complains about everything and has an endless supply of snarky commentary, so the other apprentices have gotten used to either ignoring him or dragging him along for training or playing games. "I'll do it," he says, "but I won't like it." That's a lie. He actually does enjoy the company of others. He's also quite observant and capable of cognitive empathy. Though he's a bit rough around the edges, Saltpaw's bitter attitude is a false front, likely stemming from the desire to be "edgy" more than anything. He'll probably grow out of it, so don't take it too personally. may or may not have a crush on Sharkpaw or Pearlpaw. He's confused.* β β βbrother to Tumblepaw β β βHe thinks Chiapaw is annoying. Tealraven *Saltpaw's still figuring out how to deal with his feelings for others - ew, emotions - and he's always thought of himself as (mostly) straight. He thinks Pearlpaw is cute, but Sharkpaw's fun-loving attitude is so infectious it's hard not to like him, at least a little bit. Does he have a crush on them? Is he confusing this feeling with just wanting to be friends? He has no clue. Someone help him.

echokitaccompanied by piperstorm | campSlithering through the palm leaves and reeds, Echokit's small head bobbed up and down before he finally made his way out of mini labyrinth. He yawned briefly, his tall, pointy ears twitching when he heard a familiar voice among the beach grasses before him. Piperstorm?! he thought, his odd colored eyes gleaming with awe.
Without hesitation, the young feline slipped his way through the camp as he followed the sound of his adopted mother's voice. He had yet to see Piperstorm today and surprising her seemed to be the next best thing. His long, pointy tail wagged from side to side with thrill.
Now that he could finally spot Piperstorm, Echokit noticed that she was with another cat. He couldn't place a paw on who it was, but hey, it was another cat! Maybe they would like to be his friend too? He needed more friends as there wasn't any other kits in the nursery. The smell of rancid fish became very clear to Echokit and his nose crinkled at the scent. He despised the scent of fish, though he hadn't ate it himself yet. It was only a matter of time before he would have the opportunity to try it. However, Echokit wasn't looking forward to it.
In the meantime, he needed to execute his plan which was scaring Piperstorm and her friend out of their fur. The little tom lowered himself behind a piece of driftwood, preparing to pounce near the two she-cats, his eyes shimmering with mischief. Within several seconds, the white furred kit leapt and landed clumsily right behind Orchidbloom's , not even noticing the thorn in her shoulder.
"BOO!" he shrieked as loud as he could, pressing all four of his tiny paws down into the camp floor. He tried to stand tall and bold, hoping he would seem terrifying to Piperstorm and Orchidbloom. image source - pexels | little blu β₯

β’Otterfurβ’ β’-Open-β’ -|-Camp-|-[/]-β’
Otterfur crouched in the corner of camp where he had slept. It was one of the warmest parts of camp, the spot where he perched, hit directly with sunlight. His dark yellow eyes watched Berrypaw hop away towards the sound of Mangotuft. Letting out a rusty purr, the elderly tom tucked his paws tightly against his chest, before digging in to one of the mice that the apprentice had brought to him. He gazed around the camp, as he quietly and slowly munched on his prey, his left eye doing all of the seeing for him. Otterfur had gone many seasons with only one working eye, after his right eye had become clouded and blind, due to the trauma of an injury to his face. He didn't mind much that his days as a guard for his clan was over, though he did often miss, being out of camp. The thrills of battle in his younger days, always passed over his mind. He knew very well, that his clan was well cared for, even without him in the front lines anymore.
Giving a slight grunt, the dark brown and black tom finished the first mouse, and then started on the second. His gaze caught the sight of the small fuzzy white coat of Echokit, wandering out of the nursery. He couldn't help but let out a bit of laughter as the kit launched himself from the nursery. Giving a shake of his head, Otterfur took another bite of the mouse in front of him, keeping his ears swiveled towards the nursery and his good eye on Echokit, just to make sure the kit didn't wander too far or get into any trouble. Otterfur couldn't help but feel sympathy towards the tiny creature. He'd never know his father, who was a rogue, and his mother..Well, His mother passed away when his was a newborn. Along with his siblings. He'd been the lucky one to survive, with only his clan to love him and watch him. Of course, Piperstorm did her best to be a mother to Echokit, taking the little tomkit in when her best friend had joined Starclan. But it wasn't the same as having your mother and father or even your own brothers and sisters around. Otterfur's eye started to cloud a bit, as he started to think of his own brother, Wavecrash. He still missed his brother, like it was the first day he'd lost him again. That ache had never disappeared. The two brothers had done everything together, from the moment they were born. Up until the day that Wavecrash was slaughtered by an eagle, when he was a freshly made Hunter. Otterfur hadn't been with him that day, though he often wished he had, believing if he was there, he could have changed his brothers fate.
Blinking the cloudiness from his eyes, and shaking the thoughts from his head, Otterfur swiveled his ears towards the sound of Echokit shrieking. He turned his head, his yellow eye turning a golden color in the morning light. Laughter filled his chest as he watched the tiny tom trying to scare his adoptive mother and Orchidbloom. He couldn't help but adore the youngest cats of his clan. Especially when there were kits.
β’Egretstormβ’ β’-Open-β’ -|-Sea Star Grove-|-[/]-β’
Egretstorm sat on a large flat rock in Sea Star Grove, her tail curled over her paws. Her large dark blue eyes seemed to be searching the pool of water in front of her, as if it would tell her some big secret. Her ears were pricked up, as if she was listening for a familiar voice, to join her. Though the way her shoulders were hunched, you could tell that she wasn't searching for anything. In fact, the pretty slender she-cat, was in a far away place, mentally. Her eyes stared into the pool of water, though all she could see, was the mangled body of her mate, Tapirtail. She often came to this little grove, reliving the days when they would run off together, confessing their love for each other, over and over again. But some days, Some days like this one, She relived the moment his bloody and lifeless body was brought back to camp.
Egretstorm pushed her way into camp, carrying the body of a large seabird, proud of herself for catching one as big as this one. She had her head and tail held high, her eyes sparkling with excitement for her clan to see. Her ears pricked up when she noticed a group of her clanmates, in the middle of the camp, hushed and grief filled voices, filling the air. "Whats going on.?" She questioned, trying to push her way through the group. She shoved her way in between Otterfur and Windsurf, trying to see what was causing so much chaos to her clan. Her heart dropping, when her eyes resting on the lifeless body in front of her. Flinging herself forward, her ears flattening against her eyes, and her fur brushing up so she looked twice her size, Egretstorm let out a cry, so full of anger and heartache, It could shatter a cats heart. She shoved her nose against the cold and bloody body of her mate, Tapirtail, nudging at him, as if trying to wake him. "No..No..Please no. Tapirtail..." The cream and grey colored she-cat sobbed, her body shaking with her grief. "You can't leave me..You..You can't be gone..I..I need you. I need you here with me. We still had so much of our lives left to live.." The she-cat started fussing over the mangled body of her love. Her tongue lapping at his bloody fur, trying to smooth it out. Trying to wash away the scent of jaguar and death that hung thick to him. She couldn't bare the thought of him being gone. But even more, she couldn't bare the thought of his body looking so rough. Her eyes clouded with tears and heartache, as she groomed Tapirtails pelt, one more time, She felt anger start to harden her heart.
β’Palefeatherβ’ β’-Open-β’ -|-In Camp-|-[/]-β’
A bundle of pale feathery gray and silver fur, lay curled up in a corner of camp. Tiny squeaks and cries came from the long-furred she-cat that rested there. Her paws twitching, as if she was running from some kind of danger. Her mouth moved, in another series of tiny cries, ears laying flat back against her head. It was clear that Palefeather was having a horrible dream.
Palepaw snuck out of camp, making sure no one was watching her. When she was sure that she was a safe distance from the camp, she took off, tail streaming behind her. She had been anxiously waiting all day, for the moment when everyone would be too preoccupied with themselves, to notice her. For days, she'd been wanting to go off and explore the Jagged Bluffs. Even knowing they were forbidden for her, she knew the only way she'd get to experience them, was if she snuck off and did it herself. She would be careful, she told herself. What could Possibly happen.? Her green eyes sparkled with excitement and curiosity, as she reached the steep cliff, at the edge of her clans territory. Her tail flicked from side to side with determination, as she started to crawl towards the edge of the cliff, nervous about how steep it actually was. Everything inside of her wanted to see the view of the water, over the edge. As she reached near the edge, The long furred gray and white apprentice let out a soft gasp, eyes widening as she stared at the sharp rocks and water at the bottom of the cliff.
She started to back up nervously, when the sharp cry of an eagle broke the silence. Letting out a small frightful squeak, she turned, scrambling on her paws, as the shadow of the eagle, covered her. Crouching to throw herself forwards, Palepaw let out a scream, as sharp talons met her shouders. Paws flailing, as she was lifted off the ground, Palepaw started letting out painful cries, trying to get anyones attention. Her eyes closed tightly, as she realized this was her last moments alive. As she was accepting her fate, she heard the familiar battle cry of her mother, Waterglow. Suddenly, she felt her body hit the ground, grunting as the air was knocked out her her. She lay there stunned for a moment, before opening her eyes, in time to see her mother batting the Eagle away, right near the Cliffs edge.
With a sigh of relief, as her mother chased off the eagle, Palepaw forced herself to her paws, shaky but full of happiness. Only to have her heart drop, as the ground crumbled around Waterglow, and her mother's cry of terror filled the air, her body plummeting to the sharp rocks below. Throwing herself to the edge, Palepaw let out a loud scream, crying out for her mother, as she fell to her death. "MOTHER, NO!! SOMEONE HELP! SOMEBODY PLEASE!"
