Isledrift Taking a careful bite of the bird, Isledrift chewed slowly as she listened nodding as Crabclaw spoke. Finishing her mouthful she replied, "I can safely say that I have never run into one of those, but I've heard they can be pretty nasty." Nosing the prey towards the tom she smirked slightly, "I think my crew called folks like that bilge rats, not an altogether pleasant thing to be called, but sometimes it's deserved, eh?" She chuckled softly before sighing contently, thanks to Crabclaw's kindness her nightmare was far from her mind as she relaxed in the heat of the sun enjoying the feeling of the rays soaking into her pale pelt. "Hey, thank you for sharing, this was very kind of you." She smiled slightly, not altogether sure how he would feel with a comment like that, but she wanted to express her gratitude.

Crabclaw "I don't know what a bilge is but I don't want their rats. Though I'd rather rats than foxes. Foxes are terrible," Crabclaw mewed, shaking his head. "Big nasty things that won't hesitate to rip you apart the moment you turn your back. They're cunning too. At least a rat is a mousebrained as it gets. Do you know how to properly fight one? A fox I mean?" This was probably the most Crabclaw had talked to a cat in a single conversation. At her thanks, he suddenly returned to his normal gruffness, losing some of the relaxed composure. As a guard you couldn't be relaxed. There was always danger. "You're welcome," he mewed.
I love Crabclaw so much! I've never played "gruff guy" before)

Isledrift "A bilge is the bottom of the ship, like the curved part that is pretty gross, I tried to stay away from there as much as possible, because the rats were nasty but that was part of my job on the ship to take care of them." The molly shrugged flicking her tail lazily, "Life on the ship was good, the two-legs were usually very nice to me and it was exciting to see so much." As the tom explained the ferocity of foxes Isledrift raised her eyebrows sharply, "They sound terrible, and no, I've never found myself face to face with one before."

"Hope that you don't ever meet one," Crabclaw mewed, "I'll organize a battle practice so you can learn though. All hunters have to be able to protect themselves." He drew his tongue over his chest lightly. "How many places have you seen?" He asked Isledrift to keep up the conversation

Isledrift Iseldrift tilted her head with a slight grin, "I would love to learn! Anything you want to teach me I would be more than happy to practice. I can hunt fairly well, but unfortunately when it comes to fighting I am very sorely lacking in skills. Didn't have to fight much out on the open sea, well except for the odd sea monster." Her whiskers twitched in amusement as she chortled softly at her own joke, As the tom asked about her adventures the molly paused for a moment trying to recall all the places she had traveled, "In all honesty I've been too many places to count. I don't think we spent more than two moons in one area, we were constantly moving from port to port. I saw a lot of places that were filled with twolegs and some that had only a few, but every place we went had it's own special beauty."
