In the future, The Lost Ones may show content more suitable for PG-13 audiences, including language and themes. Please keep this in mind.
This comic was inspired by the Disney Descendants universe, and an rp following an original take on the canon.
I want to try to keep a bi-monthly updating schedule, but please keep in mind that I'm very busy with work, so this might not always hold true. I'll do the best I can, though!
Twenty years is a long time, in the dark.
Even longer, if you've never seen the light in the first place.
Twenty years ago, good and evil waged war against one another, determined to finish the other one off once and for all. As it has always held true in fairy tales, good came out on top. The losers -- criminals, villains, and anyone else deemed undesirable -- were banished to the Isle of the Lost, off the coast of Auradon, alive, but under the condition that they may never leave the confines of a magic-blocking barrier, weak forevermore. This was the most humane way to hinder crime in what is now known as the United States of Auradon, after all. A prison, but also a kingdom to call their own, where the good people could be tormented no more.
Now, two decades later, the answer is more...complicated.
The possibility of children being born to the villains held prisoner on the Isle was raised, and suddenly the light and pure kingdom of Auradon was faced with a startling question: were these children born evil? Did they deserve the same fates as their parents, lost among the violence and trash?
Follow a group of Auradonian transfers as they seek to answer these questions, navigating the Isle of the Lost: a world far, far different than the one they're familiar with.

Characters
As far as characters go, I'll probably update them by chapter, and then add to the paragraphs as more gets revealed about them, since I don't want to spoil anything further on down the line. We'll also get actual concept art drawings of the characters...whenever I get around to them.
Southwark Mafia
- Colette "Collie" de Vil (20, female) -- The leader of Southwark's mafia, and the daughter of Cruella de Vil and Jean-Pierre la Pelt (101 and 102 Dalmatians). Yeeter of books, burner of important kingdom history. Frequently annoyed with both existence and fate. {Headphone Actor}
- Isabeau de Vil (19, female) -- The underboss of Southwark's mafia, and the daughter of Ivy de Vil and Varian (101 Dalmatians and Tangled: The Series). Mechanic by trade, angel by disposition. {Creamcrow}
- Montana Slim (18, male) -- One of the three Southwark capos, Montana is in charge of running the mafia's businesses. The son of Alameda Slim and Kissin' Kate Barlow (Home on the Range, Holes) . Makes lots of salsa, owns the Mexican restaurant, Big Fork. {Arexasaurus}
- Pip Fox (19, female) -- One of the three Southwark capos, Pip is in charge of the protection services the mafia provides. The daughter of Finnick and Pamela (Zootopia). Owns Seventh Circle, a gym. She fight, she conquer, she 4 feet tall. {Equus/.}
- Red Stabbington (19, female) -- One of the three Southwark capos, Red is in charge of fencing and theft in Southwark. The daughter of Cassandra and Patchy Stabbington (Tangled, Tangled: The Series). Things end up in her pockets, and then yours. Likes knives. Not blonde, which I find a redeeming quality in this mafia. {Tess}

The title card should be up by Friday, more than likely. Then the next chunk (once I finish those sorely needed replies for this exact rp) is gonna be up by early to mid July!
I worried about posting a human (and rp based) comic, but then I saw your Doctor Who one, and it kind of got me motivated to do it?
I also plan on keeping the character section updated, so a picture/small paragraph combo for the girl treating Important Kingdom History like last week's tabloid newspaper should be up about the same time as the title card.

Page 1 is up now! Or...the first page of the actual chapter and not the prologue. Technically it's page 6. This scene was fun to draw, because now the gang's all here! I've never actually drawn Montana, Pip, Isabeau, or Red before, so this was pretty interesting. But we're getting into serious stuff here, everyone. The Google rabbit hole went too deep from my original translate search, and I just went with it because its just gross propaganda anyway, lets be real. I needed like, the most sinister title I could muster. Because imagine reading a fairy tale that wasn't only blatant lies, but labeled you and your friends as "impure" as well. Auradon needs to get good. |
