Werewolves?
where wolf?
i n t r o d u c t i o n
heyyyy. i am blaze and i kinda really love werewolves. i don't have the best track record with staying active on otrp but i am here again to try xD
werewolves in this "universe" can fully shift into wolves but they also have a "beta-shift" like in teen wolf where they can grow claws and their eyes become glowsticks.
some wolves don't have the best control of their inner animal while other wolves are zen beings. it really depends on how you want to take your character <3
basically this is a organized jump-in? idk what to call it but i like to be organized. ________________________
g u i d e l i n e s
quick guidelines cuz sometimes people need them.
be active / i am heckn lazy, not gonna lie. i might not roleplay everyday and i don't expect anyone else to. just tell us if you lost your muse and cannot roleplay anymore.
be semi-literate / i am not super big on literacy? i do like a small paragraph or two but just write how much you want. use proper grammar and no one-liners. nobody likes one-liners.
characters / this is mainly a werewolf-centered roleplay. you can make other supernatural creatures if you like? you can join with as many characters as you want. just make sure you roleplay all of them.
have fun / don't be afraid to talk to others and plot. yeeeee, i am not the best at plotting. i love doing slice of life rps but if anyone wants to do a plot, let me know & we can make it happen c: ________________________
s e t t i n g where are we?
This roleplay takes place within a small town of Summerford. It's big enough to have its own high school with a few sports team (go titans!), and a crappy movie theater.
They have two fast-food places: McDonalds and Subway. Most importantly, the town has a local pizza place. They make their own pizza crust and its the best thing ever. Surrounding their court-house, there is a bakery, a local coffee shop, a library, a ma & pop diner, and a hairdresser. Then there is a few empty store fronts like usual, maybe something will go in them one day?
There is a few parks in town, one actually has a playground while the other ones are mainly plain fields with a few benches.
The town is surrounded by forest (great for were-puppies) and there is a river that runs outside of town, some of the local kids like to go and kayak on there.
The pack lives spread out in their own homes and apartments.
A couple miles outside of town, there is a long drive-way that disappeared into the trees. If you follow that, you can come up on a huge house in the forest. Its dubbed "the pack house", this is where the alpha and their family lives. Its a safe place for the pack to let their guard down and be werewolves. Its huge and spacious so that if the entire pack is over, there will be plenty of room for everyone.

Prior to this roleplay, the head alpha either passed or stepped down? tbd.
There is a new alpha now. they are young, untried and not the most experienced. they might make mistakes like issuing an attack on a lone wolf (who maybe turns out to be a messenger from another pack?). or another pack tries to take over to steal "their" territory or they could have a rogue wolf problem? anything is possible.

The joke is that they don't have a exactly local "wolf" pack. Thad tends to be reserved and has a stoic expression when you first met him. He doesn't warm up to strangers quickly and prefers the company of his pack. Thad is clever and has a knack for learning things quickly. Since he excels at almost everything, Thad has the tenancy to be over-confident which leads him into trouble. He is a honest person and sometimes comes off as blunt or tactless. He goes by either Thad or Scott. Blaze ♡

Taylor isn't someone very memorable. She is 5'9, with straight brown hair just past her shoulders and brown eyes. She has a round face, a spattering of faint freckles, and wears large square glasses. Unlike the rest of her mundane appearance, Taylor has bright tattoos from her shoulder to elbow on both arms, covering in tightly woven sleeves. She very rarely shows them, and though she loves them herself, is often embarrassed when others notice. This comprises much of Taylor's personality: she is never really one to bring up her own feelings and thoughts, hating being the center of attention and rather be with a small group or off to the sidelines. She's a bit bookish and nerdy, never really shaking the need for more fantasy and the escape --and often irony-- it brings. She takes comfort in the pack, knowing that she's a part of something larger, and loves leaving her responsibilities far away when she runs with the pack. The only place she feels comfortable taking control is when she's on the skating rink. Noah can be friendly, he just prefers to be with a smaller crowd of people. Big crowds of people just made him wary and uncomfortable. He enjoys spending time in the library or staying in a teacher's room during lunch to keep himself. Noah does have a temper and hates when people think they have the authority over him, especially when it is obvious that their IQ is incredibly low. Noah is always a gentleman, even he does not particularly want to be. He knows if his rudeness gets around to his mama, he'll be in huge trouble. Hm. Do you mean like mates/soulmates are a thing?
But within this “universe”, I am kinda using teen wolf dynamics. there is an alpha “head of the pack” and betas “pack members”. And if there is an omega, they are like rogues and lone wolves.
If you asking about an alpha “mate pair”? Maybe? I don’t mind if we go that direction, that or they become second in command or something.
I guess there can be other alphas in the pack? It’s interesting dynamic because one would be the alpha-alpha so there would be conflict.

Alpha | Pack House
A low groan escaped from the woman, "Please no." Lena shoved her face in her pillow, briefly wishing that it would smother her so she could sleep forever. It was the weekend. She deserved sleep, all of the sleep. Yet that stupid alarm was buzzing in her ears. With a snarl, she rolled over and swiftly grabbing her phone, switching off the alarm. Lena made a face at the ceiling. She really shouldn't have set that alarm. What time even is it? she thought feeling disgruntled and swiped her phone again, holding it close to her face. 9:20am, ugh.
She is going to die and the pack was going to have to find another alpha... because this one is going to die from lack of sleep. Lena jerked the blankets back and grumbled to herself as she rolled out of bed, not caring if anyone in the house could hear her mumbled curses as she rooted around in her room for a pair of shorts.
Finally, Lena found a pair of jean shorts that didn't look or smell too dirty and stepped into them before making her way out of her room and down the stairs. She hoped someone was here and they made breakfast. Otherwise she felt like she was going to seriously cry. If there was no breakfast, Lena would have to go into town for food and then she would have to find a clean bra. Wrinkling her nose at that thought, she started to wonder if she even had clean clothes. God, she hated laundry.

Beta | Town Square
Thad lifted his hand in a wave. He flashed a small smile at the young child. He liked to volunteer at the after-school program at the library to read to the elementary children. Sometimes they recognized him. With a pleased smile, he lifted the warm cup of coffee back up to his lips. Closing his eyes as he slipped on the drink. Shamelessly, he probably put more creamer than coffee in his cup.
It was peaceful sitting on a bench outside of the court house. He could hear cars buzzing past and the squeaks of brakes stopping at red lights. And if he focused hard enough, he could eavesdrop on the two girls arguing in the bakery. It seemed like an... interesting conversation. Not really, he couldn't tell what they were arguing about. It had something to do with weekend plans and whether their SOs were allowed to come or not.
With a twist of his wrist, Thad blinked down at his watch and wrinkled his nose. He wondered if the pack had any plans for the weekend. He wouldn't mind going down to the river to go swimming... or leaving town for a small adventure. Maybe he should head out to the Pack House. He couldn't help but feel somewhat hesitant, their new alpha wasn't exactly a morning person. He wasn't sure if he wanted to deal Lena's passive aggressiveness.

Taylor wandered aimlessly around the town, peeking in the few stores she already knew by heart just for something to do. She was off work for the day and didn't quite know what to do with herself after waking up that morning. Now that she was up, she wished she would have slept in, even when she knew her body had its own schedule and couldn't sleep past seven no matter how much she wanted to laze about watching youtube.
She exited the library, blinking away the sun as she stepped into the town square. Restlessness was in her blood, urging her to run or do something, anything really. She hadn't even been able to focus when she tried to sit down with a new book, her eyes refusing to see the words and instead looked outside the window at the garden. She sighed, a frustrated, pent up thing. She hadn't been to the pack house but a handful of times since Lana took over and had only felt the wind on her fur a few times more. She knew she would keep the restlessness until she let the wolf out, but hesitated to actually start on the path to the pack house. Lana wasn't known to rise early and she didn't want to be a bother. But she hated to run alone. The wolf wasn't meant to be alone.
It was with great relief that she noticed Thad outside of the courthouse. She hurried over, glad for a familiar face. Taylor didn't often keep up with the pack as much as she should. Perhaps he knew if the pack had any plans for the day. "Thad," she called as she crossed the square. She gave a wave as she approached.

Thad took another sip of his drink with a pensive expression on his face. He would find something to do eventually, he knew that. Either his human friends were doing something or the pack was meeting up to hang out on the weekends. It was always when the majority of them could get together and let lose. No worrying about holding back their strengths and emotions, just letting their wolf side out to play.
Hearing someone close by, Thad lifted his head back and glanced over. A smile broke across his face and he lifted his spare hand up and waved back, "Hey Taylor!". He waited until she crossed the square behind shifting over and patting the bench beside him. "What are you doing up soo early?" Thad asked with a playful wag of his eyebrows. It wasn't that early but it was fun to poke at his pack members. |

In past werewolf rps- in my experience- there were usually two betas as second in command and occasionally two alphas who shared the position like a queen & king, I was just wondering if that was the case here! But thanks for explaining- I'm not too familiar with Teen Wolf dynamics but I'll try to keep up! ^^"
Just to clarify- all pack members are known as betas? And will werewolves be the only supernatural beings in this universe? I know there are hunters in Teen Wolf, will that be the case here as well?

Taylor took the seat beside Thad. "I'm always up early. Work has me off the schedule today, and I can't seem to sit still." She shook her head, her foot already tapping the ground without her really thinking about it. She forced it to stop. "Do you think anyone's at the pack house yet?" she asked, "I could really do with a bit of a run today." An understatement, she was careful to keep herself in control, but just as in the library, she could hardly keep still as she sat on the bench.
Maybe it was something in the air. It was a wonderful day, packed with scents of the forest that Taylor could smell even from the square. It wasn't as if she had to try to heighten her senses, but the wolf's nose could be both a blessing and a curse. In many ways, she had to watch carefully around her few human friends to not hear or smell something far outside the human range. Already they thought she had supernatural hearing, teasing her about offhand remarks about things only said in whispers.

probs not for this roleplay but i do love that dynamic when its actual wolf pack rp unless you prefer that way. i am really flexible c: werewolves are werewolves, as long as we rp them, i am happy.
the teen wolf dynamic is weird at first xD i got used to the werewolf fics on Wattpad (who mostly all use the same; ranks: alpha, alpha mate, beta, 3rd command, and regular pack members) and then i started watching teen wolf. i was like wth.
for our sake (unless we want to change it), pack members are called betas. there may be a beta(s) who is 2nd/3rd in command but they don't get any special title.
i am cool with other supernatural beings! and we can do hunters too if you want! i am really cool with anything as long as everyone is having fun (: ]

[ since you're around, did you have any plans on what happened to the old alpha yet? I'm down for anything as long as its something, I do want to relate some characters with that point.
also are werewolves born or bit in? I'm guessing a bit of both. I was just thinkin about giving Taylor a family, she was probably born into it, her parents moved on with their pack after she graduated and she just... decided to stay where she grew up. Maybe for some close school friends or smth. ]

hmm. either the old alpha retired and they enjoying life elsewhere / maybe traveling?
or they could have died? either from another pack, hunter, car accident, or maybe they just got sick.

i figured packs in our universe can be more flexible. like people can leave and join others fairly easy ]

Thad shifted over and looked over at Taylor. He shook his head, "Shame... the weekends are for sleeping-in, don't you know?" he joked before taking another sip of the drink. It should be almost finished by now. But he couldn't fault Taylor being awake. Thad felt restless. It was rather boring week. He had a few projects due and they took up most of his time. He hadn't hung out with the pack much lately. It made his wolf whine and whimper inside of him.
The young man perked up at the word run. Running through the woods did sound nice... almost heavenly idea. The high schooler shrugged his shoulders and stretched out his legs in front of him. "Probably? It is getting closer to 10," he mused, looking back down at his watch. "If not, we can always wake up Lena," Thad pointed out with a cheekish smile. It was late enough that Lena could potentially be awake and not a foul morning mood. |

Nice! In that case I'd like to make one of each for now? I briefly looked through the Teen Wolf wiki- I do more research for rps than I do for school rip and I was thinking of making a kitsune- not an all-powerful one!- who wants to/has joined the pack but kind of struggles with it due to his nature. And then a Hunter for Danger.
The werewolf I make might be one who acts as the pack's official 'doctor' in case they can't go to the human hospital at times? )

Lusifr 'Lucius' Stark; goes by Lucius when around humans. He's a 37-year-old doctor and alpha but doesn't openly attempt to oust Lena as alpha. Distances himself from the pack with politesse and caustic teasing, which he uses to cover up the fact that he actually has a heart. Dry and no-nonsense but his actions don't always match up with his words. An annoying know-it-all due to his eidetic memory and never lets anyone forget anything. Known for working primarily on a 'favor system', never does anything for free. )

Lusifr hums- rather obnoxiously- as he moves around the kitchen, slowing his movements at the sound of muffled cursing that is later followed by footsteps on the stairs. He has to actively corral his grin into a simple pressing of upturned lips, flipping a pancake and catching it just before it wobbles into the cinnamon shaker on the counter. At the sound of his alpha reaching more level ground, Lusifr greets her with a dramatic spin, brows arched in mock-surprise. "Why, Lena, fancy seeing you awake so early~" He pointedly glances at an imaginary watch, forgetting that it's actually on his left wrist. Though his tone is fairly dripping in sardonic amusement, his expression remains staid and fairly passionless. "You're right on time for breakfast~!"
The latest pancake is deposited on a golden stack that sits beside scrambled eggs and a few strips of bacon- a necessity for every breakfast- and Lusifr turns fully to face Lena, absently waving the spatula when he recognizes her shorts. Ah, he'll have to do the laundry as well- wait no. He isn't going to fall into that pattern again this time. Curse his trauma-induced habit of becoming a homemaker unprompted.
Firmly telling himself that he's going to do the bare minimum- a lie after making enough food to feed everyone in the pack house despite his target being the alpha- Lusifr collects a fork from the drawer and sets the plate on the dining table, smiling innocently at the brunette. "Hungry~?"
It's a rather basic trap but it gets the job done~ Lusifr quickly learned that one could control young people- and werewolves in general- with a good home-cooked meal. And thus began his manipulative campaign of strategic meals to further his own agenda. In this instance it isn't exactly his own agenda per se- he owes an annoying entity a favor and he has to go through the alpha first. His favor is easy enough to fulfill, though unorthodox and possibly something that could become a pain later. Hence his attempting to soften her up with breakfast- especially considering that it would require alpha work on her sacred weekend. In anticipation Lusifr had accidentally cooked too much- there are a variety of breakfast foods lining the counter in case pancakes didn't suit. He'd have to dispense the extra food among the pack and possibly visit the local charity sooner than planned...
