"Sounds good to me," Warblerpaw meowed, standing to follow the warriors back to their territory. He picked up his robin and mouse from earlier, the unusually overwhelming scent of them almost making his eyes water.

Yeah I’ll still continue! I don’t know where I should begin though. (When Ice hops on next, we can have Pondpaw start training with Mudwasp! There's going to be aloooot of drama/activity for Skyclan soon since Spiritstar will soon be passing, and Fox's character Quickwing will become Skyclan's leader soon.)

Lightningstar listened to Spiritstar and Spiderbite speak, clearly in thought. “It’s clear the dark forest is rising again.” He spoke quietly. “I fear our worst nightmares are coming true.” He shook his head. “This is something that affects all clans and I feel transparency is our best bet to stop this again.”

This time, we will be ready. So long as Skyclan stands, we will stand with you and any Clan that defies the Dark Forest. I will be sure to make it clear that interaction with the Dark Forest will not be tolerated here.” Peachdapple nodded, a saddened yet approving smile crossing her muzzle as she dipped her head to Spiritstar. She looked at Lightningstar, before looking at Spiderbite. “Aspenfall and I have our next herb trade prepared for when you want to receive it. Just let a member of our next patrol know and I will have it brought to the usual spot, at the border.”

Shadowmask looked over at Buzzardfall and Firefang once the three apprentices had caught the bird together, “I think that is enough for now, don’t you think?” She mewed, proud of how far her apprentice had come. “The others are probably waiting for us now.”
Sunpaw picked up her own prey and bounded after the others, happy to know that they had done well on the hunting portion of the assessment.

Plumwillow padded forwards to return to the meeting point, her eyes flickering often towards Quickwing without thinking. Starclan, it wasn’t fair how pretty she was, and the way she talked with her. Plumwillow was shocked that Quickwing thought so humbly of herself. Plumwillow wanted to show her just how great she was, and just… be near her. She shook the enamored feelings away, focusing back on the assessment.
After all, Warblerpaw would surely succeed in sparring, and then all that was left was the great climb. She felt proud, that she had trained him this far.

Spiderbite idly nodded to Peachdapple about the herbs. He flicked his tail, gaze lingering from Spiritstar to Lightningstar. All these cats had lived through AdderClan. When the Dark Forest rose up the first time. He had strong faith in StarClan. He wouldn't waver, he swore it! But, how was he supposed to guide his clanmates in that faith too? "How do you know?" He asked suddenly, looking from Spiritstar, to Lightningstar, and Peachdapple. "How do you know if a cat is a part of the Dark Forest?"

Peachdapple turned to look at Spiderbite, her voice tired but honest as she admitted. "Some cats make it very obvious. Others are very good at hiding it. But, most cats tempted into training by the Dark Forest will obtain unexplainable wounds, will become more aggressive in sparring and training, or use moves that their mentors never taught them. Some, in extreme cases, will do drastic measures influenced by the Dark Forest. Such as Shadeclaw's attempt to take over Thunderclan."
"Cats who are kin to cats who were alive to fight the Dark Forest during the moons of Adderclan are also usually preyed upon..." Spiritstar admitted, her tail lashing as she thought of all of her siblings, of herself, and of her nieces and nephews over time. She knew the lengths Robinstar would go, to get her revenge. "Kits and Apprentices tend to be their most common targets." She murmured, voice heavy.

The sparring session of the training had gone just as smoothly as Plumwillow expected. This time, Warblerpaw had teamed up with Coldpaw for the team spar, before all the apprentices showed off their moves to their mentors.
Now, was the final test, and the dark clouds in the sky made the Sky Oak look utterly daunting.
“Okay! Last section, and you’ll all be done if you make it up all the way! Remember, climb as quickly and carefully as you can, and then will be scaling your way back down! This will be the first time you all have climbed to the top of it, but I know you can do it!” Plumwillow giggled, sitting in front of the massive oak tree.

Warblerpaw gazed up at the sprawling branches of the great Sky Oak, heart pounding not with fear, but pure thrill. The sparring had gone well enough; his extra training with Robinstar had paid off, it seemed. But climbing? He knew he would absolutely ace this last task. He grinned at Plumwillow, more than ready.

“This is your chance to prove yourself once and for all,” Firefang added, eager to see the apprentices’ attempts at climbing the Sky Oak. He enjoyed the adrenaline that came with climbing such a tall tree; he hoped they felt the same way.
Pheasantcry’s tail whisked along the ground as she waited for the apprentices to begin climbing. The sky was indeed quite dark, and she hoped it wouldn’t begin to rain.

Sunpaw shivered in anticipation, her eyes scanning the Sky Oak for the best paw holds and branches for her to perch on. Her claws sunk into the ground, more than ready to climb the large tree and prove herself a warrior of SkyClan.
Firepaw stood next to his siblings as they waited to start the final portion of the assessment, a determined look in his eyes. He had done well for the fighting portion and although he might not have been the best hunter, but he was rather confident in his climbing skills.
Shadowmask looked at the sky, not liking the way the clouds were making they sky look so dark, “We should get started then. Those clouds don’t look promising.” She mewed.

“Alright then!” Buzzardfall took the lead this time, nodding once at Firepaw with warm confidence, before she lifted her tail and lowered it in a smooth motion.
“Your climb begins now! Go!”

Warblerpaw wasted no time once Buzzardfall gave the command. He hopped onto one of the huge, snaking roots and began his climb with powerful, fluid movements. He was a great hunter, sure. And when it came to fighting, he could certainly hold his own. But the trees? That was where he excelled. As he came to the first massive limb of the Sky Oak, he recalled his race with Plumwillow to the top of her special tree with a swell of pride and warmth. He cast a beaming smile back down to his mentor, determined that he'd be making her proud today.

Plumwillow watched Warblerpaw climb with a bright look, her eyes glowing with pride at how comfortable he looked climbing the tree. She could tell that he was more than ready to be a Warrior. A part of her ached then, knowing that he would no longer be her apprentice, but her pride in him overrode the sadness she felt.

Sunpaw launched herself at the tree when Buzzardfall gave the okay to start and quickly started to make her way up the large tree.
Firepaw wasn’t far behind Sunpaw, jumping from the roots and digging his claws into the bark of the Sky Tree, pulling himself up the trunk and towards one of the lower branches of the tree.

If Darkness was rising, he had to be on the front lines of helping his Clan keep faith. He looked at Spiritstar and his expression fell grim. Kits and apprentices? Would the Dark Forest really stoop so low as to target the innocent? "Perhaps addressing the Clan about it could help?"

Would the Dark Forest really stoop so low as to target the innocent? "Perhaps addressing the Clan about it could help?" "You're right." Spiritstar nodded to Spiderbite, grateful for the young tom's assured tone. She could tell that he took his role seriously, and Skyclan needed that greatly. She would take his counsel. "I will address the Clan. Lightningstar, Peachdapple, if you plan to bring this warning to the other Clans, you best depart before you lose valuable travel time. If you cannot return to Thunderclan in time later this evening, you may stay the evening in Skyclan on your way back." Spiritstar offered, wanting to assure them that Skyclan was still strong at Thunderclan's side for the time being. Peachdapple dipped her head at the she-cat's offer. "Your generosity is admirable, Spiritstar." She looked at Spiderbite with another nod, knowing and with respect. "As well as your clan's ability to produce exceptional medicine cats." She looked at Lightningstar, knowing that he would be the one to decide if they took the offer if their travel took longer than the full day.

Lightningstar dipped his head in thanks to Spiritstar. “I appreciate your offer.” He spoke. “We plan to visit the other clans and warn them.” He spoke. “We are off to Shadowclan next. Then tomorrow we plan to visit Windclan and Riverclan.” He looked towards Peachdapple. “We must hurry.” He spoke. “So we can return to Thunderclan tonight.”
Coldpaw launched herself forward to scramble up the tree. While sometimes her blindness hindered her hunting and fighting abilities, she felt like climbing was second nature. She never had problems scaling trees.
Fallpaw was a bit more hesitant in his climb. His body was more like his fathers Thunderclan build. It made climbing a little harder as he was not as lithe as a typical skyclan cat.

Spiritstar nodded. “Then, I wish you safe travels. I hope that the other clans take your warning seriously.” She admitted, standing to her paws to begin escorting the three Thunderclan cats out of the medicine den. She would address the Clan when the apprentices returned. Perhaps the ceremony would soften the blow of this dark revelation.
Plumwillow watched the apprentices with bright eyes. She looked at Quickwing and giggled. “Remember when we had to do this assignment? I was so excited to climb that high. Nettlesting said I looked like a squirrel, scaling that Oak.” She purred. “I bet you and Blackfire aced it.”

Sunpaw jumped from branch to branch, feeling elated as she climbed higher and higher. She felt more at home here in the tree rather than on the ground.
Firepaw climbed a bit slower than Sunpaw was, but was still making good time as he moved higher up the Sky Oak.
Shadowmask watched Coldpaw as the apprentice started climbing, knowing that the climb wouldn’t hinder her in anyway.

Warblerpaw eyed the next branch of the Sky Oak, taking a gamble and making a mighty leap to land effortlessly on the bough with a triumphant croon.
"I was made for the trees!" he said before scrambling up the trunk to the next limb, and the next. He moved like a bird from branch to branch with graceful and confident movements.
He was nearing the top now, and paused to catch his breath, looked down over his shoulder at the other apprentices, pride for all of them warming him from the inside out.

“Almost there!” Plumwillow called up loudly towards Warblerpaw, eyes glowing with a determined pride. “This is light work for you! Getting down will be the real test! Keep going!”
Buzzardfall chuckled at Plumwillow’s enthusiasm, choosing to remain silent, but knowing that Firepaw knew that she was cheering for him. He didn’t need his focus taken by her calling up.

Quickwing watched the apprentices scale the tree. She purred softly in memory. “It was so fun! I beat Blackfire up the tree.” She chuckled. “But she’ll tell you she beat me!”
Coldpaw wasn’t too far behind Warblerpaw. She wanted to be quick but careful. She moved from branch to branch quickly but methodically.
Fallpaw was last. He hissed in annoyance, his stocky frame not helping. He was a great fighter because of it but climbing not so much. He moved up from branch to branch.

Sunpaw slowed as she neared the top, eyeing the last branches before she quickly jumped up them. “Made it!” She purred breathlessly, looking back at Warblerpaw and Coldpaw.
Firepaw was only halfway up the tree himself, his own stocky frame making it difficult for the climb. He glanced back at his brother, giving him a flick of his ear, “You alright?” He asked, clambering up another branch.

"Aw, yeah, Sunpaw!" Warblerpaw cheered, inwardly a little annoyed he hadn't made it first. That's what he gets for showing off, he supposed. He jumped up to land beside her, the thinner branches bowing under his weight. "Now all we've got to do is get down and get our names!"
He gave her a fierce, toothy grin, blood pumping with the thrill of such a climb. From the top of the Skystar Tree, the whole of the forest's territories was laid out before them. Warblerpaw twitched an ear as he scanned the horizon, over RiverClan's meadows and streams, the mighty oaks of SkyClan, and the dense forest of ThunderClan. He could see the murky swamps and pines of ShadowClan and the rolling moors of WindClan, and Highstones and beyond a smudge on the horizon.
It was WindClan that caught his attention, however; the sky was shrouded with foreboding darkness, the very storm itself seeming to reach out a claw to score along the ground.

Noticing the way Warblerpaw froze up at the top had put a pause in Plumwillow’s celebration, causing the she-cat to tip her head curiously. She couldn’t tell what he was looking at, but she could tell he was looking at something towards the direction of Fourtrees and Windclan. She hummed, making note to ask about it once he came back down. She cheered once more.
“There you go! Sunpaw’s got the speed of the wind in her paws!” She complimented, cheering on all the apprentices, even though her eyes were trained on her own.
