welcome to lilyvale, the academy that young people of all cultures or intelligences come to learn. it doesn't matter if you're rich or poor, troublemaker or teacher's pet -- everyone who attempts to attend lilyvale academy is given the exact same test with the exact same questions, fifty in three categories, science, math, and english, so anyone can prove their strengths and weaknesses. lilyvale tends to accept the ones with the higher scores, but kids that were a bit less sharp will be selected as well. the classes aren't too difficult; in fact, it's hard not to score a mark higher than a C.
the female school uniform is a white blouse with the school's logo printed on the chest, with a blue plaid skirt, black tights, white sneakers, and a blue plaid tie. they're also given a simple pale gray hoodie for the colder days when it may be reguired. the males wear a dark blue jacket, white dress shirt, black dress pants, black dress shoes and a lighter blue plaid tie to match. adding small accessories such as watches, belts, bracelets, or other jewelry is fine so long everything remains school appropriate. the students are required to wear these clothes during school hours, but during their own time they may wear what they wish.
the students are your average high school students, really. there can be mischievous ones; angelic ones; know-it-all ones; anti-social ones; arrogant ones. if you can name a personality trait and add the word 'ones' right after it, you can probably bet that there's at least one student in the school that would fit in to that category. of course, with different personalities, and teenagers, come cliques. they're just your average ones, really. there's your jocks; mean girls; thespians; outsiders; hipsters; geeks. again, you name it, they have it. there's no particular ones special to the school, i mean, they're just basic ones you'd see at any other high school. any other high school that has cliques, that is. just be happy that with these cliques, the teachers don't pick favorites or be kinder to certain students -- the drama is usually within the teens themselves [mainly because classes aren't roleplayed]. there is your typical bullying and rivalry between students and whole cliques as well, you know.
so here you are, kid; will you become the next alpha of the school and have every student practically kneeling at your feet, or will you become the one kneeling? or will you stand alone, like a lone wolf outsider, and simply watch from the side? it's all up to you, and how you play your cards here in this school. welcome to lilyvale academy.
rule one -- forum rules ;; these are the rules you should be following no matter where you are on the forums, unless, you know, you're either a troll or something. but still -- follow them here please. I worked hard on this and I wouldn't appreciate it being deleted -- especially with the wcf copy being deleted in a matter of days now as well.
rule two -- literacy & post length ;; literacy is like, everything to me. and since this is a semi-advanced/advanced roleplay, i'm going to have expectations that you guys can at least post decently sized replies. when you type up a post ranging anywhere from twenty to fifty lines, and someone replies with "he nodded and followed him/her silently", i know i wouldn't be the only one to die at least a little bit. when you're replying to a post like that, it's so difficult, since there's so little to make a paragraph or two of a response. all i ask is that you type at least two or three lines per roleplay post (minimum. there's no maximum amount of lines, so be as creative as you want!), with grammar, spelling, and punctuation that doesn't make you look like you're the person who wrote starkit's prophecy. slacking off in the chat is very much okay, heck, when i chat, i bet there's a lot of people who don't even know what i'm saying. but in rp, i really, really don't want posts that are so bad a first grader could type up something more descriptive. if you have trouble, then try to describe exactly what your character is doing, where they are, what their tone of voice is [if they're talking], what they're thinking about, what they feel emotionally or physically, what they see, et cetera. it isn't too hard to type a decent sized paragraph when you get descriptive, trust me.
rule three -- activity ;; please don't join then ditch a day after! you know how annoying that is, when you work hard on a roleplay, you get a joiner, just for them to completely ignore the thread after a few days passed? i know i'm guilty of joining something then forgetting about it like, a week, or a month after, but that's usually when i don't think before joining an rp, and have to cut off a few. if you lose interest, or, like me, you joined without realizing and have to quit, please, do me a favor and tell me? with a limited amount of students, i can't really have someone take up space and leave, since that's just making a few spots unavailable for no reason, making it so that someone who actually wants to join unable to. i don't want you to feel bored here, or feel uncomfortable, but if you do, please, tell me before you leave? i know myself and some other forumers might appreciate it c: if you're inactive for three weeks without an excuse, you'll be deleted -- but if there's space remaining, you can always rejoin.
rule four -- ratios ;; usually i see roleplays with hmm, ten girls, but also two boys. since this roleplay has one hundred twenty students maximum, exactly sixty students of each gender, if we fill up, we will have balance between the genders. however, if this rule isn't in place, i have a feeling the guys' dorms are going to fill up a lot slower. so, to make sure things are always just about even, maybe one mire girl than boy or vice versa, i ask that you make at least one girl and one guy. i'm okay with the roleplay having a few more of one gender, but try not to make too lopsided, okay? three more of one gender than the other max. also, try not to make the cliques too uneven either. i'm sure none irl have eighteen mean girls, sixteen jocks, three thespians, and nothing else.
rule four -- "perfect" characters ;; everyone has flaws. fictional or real, every character is not perfect. unless of course your character is from the warriors series, but you can't expect them to have complex personalities, interesting backgrounds, explanations for their flaws, or flaws in general when the series is supposed to be written in a way that seven year olds can read it and both understand it and not either have their childhood scarred, or become traumatized. but if you look at some good tv shows, read a few books meant for teens and not ten year olds, and even look at a few characters of great roleplayers, then you'll see they aren't balls sugarfluff and rainbows. some ideas for flaws, if you're having difficulty thinking of some, are perhaps strong but slow or vice versa, pretty on the outside but horrible on the inside or vice versa, general unkindness or coldness, awkward while talking to others, ocd, et cetera. make your characters unique and complex -- not tasteless, one dimensional average joes, or super pretty super nice and super amazing. be creative!
rule five -- rating ;; these are teenagers in high school, i know. and a lot of times, high schoolers these days won't make the best decisions. but everything must be kept pg-13. no scenes of graphic ""romance"" or excessive gorey violence (fist fights and stuff are very encouraged becayse they do a lot to spice up the rp and cause tension!!), no weaponry (maybe someone can pull out a pocket knife and threaten someone to keep things tense, but thats it), no excessive swearing (fbombs or racial slurs are strongly discouraged), et cetera.
rule six -- spamming ;; don't spam. period.
rule seven -- joining ;; if you're considering joining then i really only have one teeny tiny thing to ask of you -- it's that you post with the correct joining form with all necessary parts completely filled out. when people don't use the actual form, it can make things very difficult. i have to take everything you gave me and put it in the form where it's supposed to be, like you were supposed to. i'm going to be more strict about this rule now -- you won't be accepted if you use the incorrect form, or don't post on the right page. but if you correct yourself, and have a form that is acceptable, you'll be welcomed in with open arms!.
rule eight -- realism ;; you know, when it comes to humans, i'm not that lenient on how realistic your character is when it comes to their appearance. anime physics are allowed, meaning your character can have any colored hair, any colored eyes, et cetera. go wild, they're your character. just make sure that they aren't sues/stues and ani here will be happy.
rule nine -- sexuaI orientations & gender identities ;; everything is accepted here. have a problem with two guys kissing, or a person who identifies as someone without a gender? suck it up, or go away. flaming/harassing/hating on other members will only get you reported.
rule eleven -- have fun ;; you're probably looking over the rules and noting a few i forgot, and that's good. the fact you're remembering them means you know you should be following them! so please do. other than that, i want you to have fun. if you're not enjoying yourself here, tell me, and we can either work something out. if you don't want to be here, don't hesitate to tell me -- i don't want you to feel bored or uncomfortable here. you're more important than a few characters.

[ MALE DORMITORY ]
agenders, pangenders, bigenders, polygenders, etc. choose what dormitory they stay in. transgenders stay in the dormitory for the gender they identify as. both halls are both, well, halls. they're long hallways with multiple rooms, fifteen, to be exact. seven on each side, and one at the end. in each room there are two bunk beds, all with the exact same sheets, blankets, pillows, et cetera, unless the student brought their own things from home to use instead of the ones supplied by the school -- there's no need to worry when it comes to how clean the pillowcases and blankets and such are, as they are washed every two to three days, unless something has been spilled on to them. the students are expected to make their own beds every day, and clean up after themselves as well.no males are permitted inside the girl's dorms at any time and vice versa, unless given written permission from a teacher, the vice principle, or the principle. [let's be honest here, this rule is meant to be broken, and will be broken]

ambre lis dubois // seventeen // she/her/they/them - [ ambre, or lissy, as she prefers to be called by her friends, is a very beautiful madame with a curvaceous body. Her body a full hourglass shape, with the wide hips, slightly chubby thighs, and a small amount of substance on her upper arm. she isn't chubby at the stomach, though, and actually has a flatter belly. most likely from all of the running she does with lva's soccer, volleyball and track teams. and, a fair warning: if you ever think she's worse at the sports than her teammates because of her beautiful little substance, prepare to insulted and sworn at by a 5'7 angry french woman, because she's one of the best. her skin is pale and smooth, free of blemishes. her cheekbones, right underneath her larger hazel eyes, are dusted with lightly colored kisses from the sun, discreetly freckled from how much time she spends soaking up the warm star's light. her face is oval shaped with slighly chubby cheeks, and more often than not, painted with makeup. she's hardly ever seen without at least mascara and eyeliner on, aside from when she's waking up, going to sleep, sick, or just spending the day in her dorm. Her hair is a darkish medium brown color, which is usually kept tied up in a pony tail or a bun. She doesn't wear it down too often. lissy is usually found wearing the school uniform (which she modified so that it had a shorter skirt) or gym pants and some french graphic design t-shirt. ] - [ lissy like american accents, snow, the rain, horror movies, romance & chick flick movies, cheese, occasional alcohol (scandalous!), being around other people, kissing, cuddling, tall guys & girls, nail polish, chinese food. ] - [ lissy dislikes cigarettes, jocks (to extremes), being hugged without permission, blood, science class, disloyal partners, most sour food, dogs. ] - asexual, biromantic // no family in lva // open to crushes - [ @animefreak ] -
nathaniel j. macleod // seventeen // he/him/they/them - [ when you first take a glance at nathaniel, your first thoughts will be "frail child" and "frail child with bright blue hair and flowery tattoos". why? because that literally sums him up perfectly. every since he was a wee little lad, he's been skinnier than a twig and frailer than the wing of a butterfly. while obviously exaggerations, they point remains; he's not the buffest, nor strongest of guys. yes, he has pretty strong arms, and he can carry a few good dozen pounds, but if you threw a punch at his face or gut, he'd either floored and dazed there for a few moments, or coughing up his own blood. from one swing. so, don't hurt the gay son. anyway, he does have a decent set of abs (not too brag-worthy but, they're noticeable??), and tattoos (mostly flowers, birds, etc.) cover most his chest, neck and arms. they cost a fortune, and they were a pain in the butt for him, but he looks hella rad so he's at peace. he also has a nose piercing (a silver nose ring), an eyebrow piercing (left), and solid black 00 ear guages. his face is sharply featured and what some may consider cute, but not quite handsome. it doesn't help him pick up guys when he's prone to colds (despite being very clean), and often has a slightly red, stuffed nose as well. I like the idea of his hair being styled like this, but dyed pale blue instead of brown. being transgender ftm, he has longer, thicker eyelashes framing his brown eyes. ] - [ nathan likes disney movies, feeling warm, cuddling with guys, popcorn, most music, piano, take out food, cats, carnations, lilies, plants in general, smoking cigarettes (only really when he's feeling very stressed or upset), cute guys ] - [ women, dogs, alcohol, thunderstorms (poor child is terrified by 'em), loud, sudden noises, being around too many people in a social situation ] - super gay // no family in lva // open to crushes - [ @animefreak ] -

there are many different cliques here in lilyvale. every student has their clique and place to fit in, especially since, y'know, for the kids who don't fit in with the other cliques and are different are the outsiders. rank means almost everything in the eyes of the other students -- it's what where you sit at lunch and who you talk to depends on. without order it'd be jocks and nerds sitting beside each other, and man, that would be terrible. for the jock.the cliques are in order from most popular to least popular. (also, just because in the beginning there are four slots below each clique, does not mean each clique is limitd to only four. all of them are unlimited, except for the popular boys and mean girls, whom will have a maximum of hmm, ten each, i suppose?)
[ alpha cliques // cliques for the most popular ]
- "mean girls" ;; the mean girls are exactly what they sound like, and exactly how they are in the movie "mean girls". they're usually beautiful on the outside, almost flawless in appearance, but cold and cruel on the inside. they'll only talk to people of higher standing, like the other mean girls, jocks, sporty girls, et cetera. if you're part of a group that is more popular than the average ones like thespians, then you'll probably be spoken to. probably. their leader is usually the one out of all of them that's the most vicious towards others. they're the queen bee of the school, only rivaled in social power by the most popular of the popular guys.
leader -- name member -- ambre lis dubois
member -- name member -- name
- "popular boys" ;; they are very simular to mean girls, though they don't always tend to be unkind. these guys are just the males in the school who are more well-known throughout the halls and generally have more friends and are more respected. they tend to, like the mean girls, talk to only people of their own social standing and a bit lower, like jocks and sporty girls and mean girls. they also tend to be the ones in relationships with the mean girls, other popular guys, or sporty girls -- ones that aren't already picked up by jocks, that is. they also are usually the more handsome or cuter or prettier than most other guys.
leader -- name member -- name member -- name member -- name
- "jocks" ;; these guys are your average guys that do plenty of sports. usually more than two or three, but there are some guys that only do a few. the guys that are considered jocks don't play 'girly' sports like volleyball or soccer [though there are some who play soccer as well as others], but rather ones that can cause injuries easily, like football, basketball, et cetera. the sports other students actually care about and might want to watch. because let's be honest here, how many students would take time out of their evenings when they could be chatting with friends, studying, walking around, sleeping, or et cetera to watch a bunch of guys bump a ball back and forth over a net? not too many people. maybe if the jocks were allowed to take their shirts off while playing volleyball then there would be more people going to watch, but not that many people would actualy care to see them doing those kinds of sports. other than that, jocks will tend to be players, so watch out -- if you're dating one, a broken heart is not something that should come as a shock to you. the leader tends to be the captain of the football team, but the basketball captain might slide their way in to that rank. it all depends on how they look and treat outsiders, really. heck, even a handsome guy who only plays soccer and baseball, but is captain of either two teams, who also treats outsiders with cruelty might be able to get themsepves the title of being the "leader" of the jocks.
leader -- name member -- name member -- name member -- name
- "sporty girls" ;; the sporty girls are basically female versions of jocks. they obviously, like their name probably gives away, play a lot of sports, and are popular. however, unlike jocks, the sporty girls usually play sports like soccer, cheerleading, volleyball, et cetera. the jocks and sporty girls are basically pretty stereotypical, staying to sports that seem either more boyish or girlish, as they would say. if breaking a bone or two is very likely, then it's considered more guyish, i guess. anyone who doesn't stay to the more "boyish" or "girly" games is very rarely able to make it in to the sporty girls or jocks, captain or not. while jocks seem to actually have their leader, these girls don't -- they're really lone wolves and barely converse with others in their clique. but like the boys, these girls like to flirt and play with any boy or girl they can get their hands on. so watch out -- they're heartbreakers.
member -- name member -- name member -- name member -- name
[ mediocre cliques // cliques nobody really cares about ]
- "thespians" ;; they aren't necessarily just a bunch of drama geeks like the name suggests -- they're more anyone who loves the spotlight, and who likes to stand up on a stage. they're anyone who likes acting, singing, dancing, et cetera. they tend to be a bit over-dramatic, and, again, hog the spotlight, but they aren't cruel like the mean girls or anything. these guys will talk to basically anyone, but they aren't cared that much about, and not that many people heed them a second thought other than the other thespians. no one really cares, and it's a good thing, because it means they aren't bullied or used or pushed around quite as often. the same goes for other cliques that are considerer mediocre.
member -- name member -- name member -- name member -- name
- "class clowns" ;; your typical boys and girls who are absolute pranksters and jokesters. they can usually make a joke out of anything, and still make it an actual humorous one -- unless it's purposely bad. purposely bad jokes are probably what most of them are best at. some may also play pranks, but for the most part they tend to not be cruel and all in good fun. although they might do a meaner prank from time to time, they usually don't hurt people's feelings too much in the end and if they do, they are likely to apologize. most are upbeat, mischievous, and kind enough, but there might be ones who are a lot meaner than others with their pranks and such. these guys are generally looked upon by more popular cliques and people of higher social standing, but they're probably the ones most likely of the mediocre classed cliques and below to be found hanging around some of the "cool kids". they tend to have lots of friends, while also just being considered mediocre clique rather than an alpha clique. it is, to be honest, rare to see these guys sitting alone or only conversing within their own group. the majority of them are just total social butterflies.
member -- name member -- name member -- name member -- name
- "outsiders" ;; the lone wolves, the onlookers; outsiders are independent individuals who normally keep to only one or two other people, if any at all. because of how anti-social these guys are, they don't really fit in with any other groups of people or cliques. they tend to have an uncaring demeanor, and are almost always indifferent about big things going on and keep out of drama. they are also the bystanders in the whole bullying situation -- they don't interfere for many reasons. one being that if they interfered, then the bully would be after them, two being that they most likely don't care one bit for the student being bullied, as they don't make too many friends and are lone wolves, and some other reasons as well. they, like most people that are a part of the mediocre side of the spectrum, tend to be overlooked and ignored. just how they like it.
member -- name member -- name member -- name member -- name
[ "loser" cliques // cliques for the unpopular ]
- "nerds" ;; do i really have to explain what a nerd is? aha, well, i don't think i really had to explain any of the cliques, actually...oh well! too late to go back and change it all now! nerds are those super smart guys and girls in math clubs, chess clubs, anime clubs, et cetera. they tend to have amazing grades, the best of their classes, normally, but there are some dumb losers that were titled a nerd and shoved down to the bottom of the barrel with these other guys. nerds are always, always the ones to be bullied, or at the very least, treated unfairly by alpha cliques such as jocks or mean girls. other than some other students who found themselves managing to get on their bad side instead of avoiding them or complying with their every wishes, like they should, that is.
