The Ancient Evil (A D&D Roleplay)

Elyel smiled, and although it couldn't be seen through her mask, her shining eyes gave it away. She reached up and grasped the newcomers shoulder, using it as a crutch of sorts. She used her free hand to wave the others. "Yes, yes I am quite alright. That spell is...consuming." Elyel started to laugh before breaking off in another cough. She tried to avoid using her radiant consumption often, since it quite literally was consuming

Keelo muttered something in Apeling, a language used by his tribe that only Apelings could understand, (Unless you are raised by apelings or somehow got taught how to speak it, even though most Apelings can only speak apeling, or you could learn by something else that's crazy, who know's it's D&D for heaven's sake!)

Elyel slumped back on to the ground. "I'm...gonna nap now." Her skin almost appeared slightly singed as her body hit the floor. Smoke was coming off of her hair. "You guys have fun figuring out watches and stuff...wake me up for my shift, or just drag my body along or something." She mumbled the last few words as she closed her eyes and was immediately unconscious.

"Some sort of celestial girl in our group." Garren marveled. "This is turning out to be quite the squadron after all." He looked up at Kos. "We shall work together for fire, no? I think after that fight we need to rest." He offered, holding out his hand

Elyel continued snoring quietly.

Garren nodded vigorously in agreement with Luca. He would also enjoy getting to know the new people more, but they already proved themselves worthy companions and friends. He glanced to Luciel. "Ms. Lucy, you didn't seem bothered by the sudden radiance. Do you share her celestial blood perchance?" He asked innocently, genuinely curious.

"I think Garren and I can handle the fire, thank you, Luca." Kossette said with a smile before giving Garren a firm handshake. After that she began to gather the wood, using smaller sticks and dried leaves as kindling and asking Garren to hand her other twigs. "I've never been great at starting a fire but I can set up a really good one, you want to try and start it?" She asked him, glancing up to meet his eyes with another smile.

Jag was rubbing his eyes, not quite used to the darkness again as the bright light had blinded him for a moment, despite looking away. "I can take one of the early morning watches." He volunteered, walking back up to the others as his vision returned to him. "I'm Jag by the way, this is my companion, Aurora." He said to them, reaching down to pet the silver and black wolf on the top of her head.

Keelo unfolded his arms. "Wait. You guys just met each other?" He was confused.

"I mean we got the letter not long ago at all, Keelo," Locin stated. "I think everyone needs to introduce themselves to each other. My name is Locin Heartfire, I was born a Foreclaimer but then used as a solider in an elf army. I escaped and met Keelo, where we received our letters, freakishly, it knew you would be here at the moment we would arrive. I have this thing called a power crystal, it grants me extra years of life, putting my life span at 900 years, I fully mature at 110 years, but mentally mature at 20, the age I am at currently, I will gain an extra feature when I am matured, it varies for each Foreclaimer, there are very few of us." Locin explained.

"Fine, I'll introduce myself. My name is Keelo, I am the prince of my tribe, and the chosen one of it, I ran away from it because of being overbearing, I am an apeling, I met Locin one day then met you all here." He explained, unsure if he should have.

Garren stared at Luca. "You are not very humble at all, are you?" He said with almost a look of annoyance. He liked Luca, but his narcissisms got on the paladin's nerves.

"Perhaps we should make some food and have a some time to chat with one another." Garren proposed. There was much to learn from everyone in this party, clearly.

Garrens stomach rumbled at the prospect of food. "I, too, have rations, and a pot. Perhaps we could form some kind of stew?" He offered, even though the man had no skill at all when it came to cooking anything

Keelo glanced at the barbarian. "I don't need your food!" He scrambled up a tree and grabbed various kinds of fruit, he devoured them, apelings burn their energy fast because they are always moving. Giving them twice the appetite of a normal human, also making them heavier sleepers.

Locin smiled. "No thank you, I'll go hunt for myself." Locin got up and walked into the forest, he drew his great swords.

Garren shrugged. "Well, the rest of us can make some sort of stew. Can you cook Ms. Lucy?" He turned to the cleric with a hopeful gaze
