The parchment was taken, and the note was slightly different from the others'. It had the same handwriting, same signage, but the instructions had sent a "Maxie" to the Lucky Cat Inn. And, as the group's focus shifted from the letter to the cat, it was a cat no longer. A young woman, elvish at first glance but clearly cat-folk upon closer inspection.
"Took ya long enough." She says, sitting back with crossed legs, leaning against the wall of the Inn.

Elyel stared at the cat, her eyes glowing. She adored little cats. "What is it Luca?" She tipped her head to the side, watching the paper carefully. Surely this cat did not have a letter like the rest of them. After all, who on earth sends an adorable kitten on a quest full of death and destruction? Her jaw dropped when the woman appeared. "Ah another shapeshifter."

"Now now Keelo, don't be rude to such a stunning lady." Luca chided. He showed the letter to Elyel, then returned his attention to Maxie "I'm Luca. I must admit I like your style." he'd already decided that they'd get along. Cats had to stick together.

She held out her hand to Luca, much like a lady would to a knight to be kissed. "I've heard that before. I'm Maxie." Her ears flicked in amusement. There was something very cat-like about Luca. Perhaps her reservations were unfounded.

Luca, always the insufferable flirt, took her hand and placed a peck on it. His tail swished behind him and he said "As much as I'd love to stay here longer, we have some new information that may interest you. That is, if you're planning on joining our adventure." he glanced to Elyel and the others "Let's go in and sit to discuss things. Then we can go shopping." if they'd rather do something different he'd be happy to, but the needed a plan.

She hops to her feet, and her small form steps into the Inn with Luca at the helm. She glanced at her kissed hand, wondering exactly how she felt about it now that he actually had, and watched his tail go. He was so incredibly cat-like... This wasn't a feeling she wanted right now.

"We had another letter delivered to us. It shares some new information." Luca informed Maxie, keeping his voice low enough to not grab someones attention, but also not so low people would find him suspicious "After discussing it, it was decided we'd come here and ask around the underground trading ring." he assumed she had at least heard of it, if she had been here for a while "I assure you that you'll find our group very fun. Everyone is quite stunning." he reached over to Garren, the one who happened to be closest to him, and patted him on the arm.
He was also still wary, but for the most part trusted the group enough to work with them. He hoped that Maxie would work with them to, even if they'd just become acquainted.

Garren smiled awkwardly with Luca's hand pat. He tipped his head in a small bow. "It would be our honor of you would join us on our quest." He said, thrilled at the idea that there would be yet another companion

Maxie bit her lip, a bad habit she'd never truly gotten rid of. They seemed a motley crew, but she'd sailed with plenty of those in her days. As long as they didn't begin to expect her to save them every time something went wrong, they'd be fine. "Y'know, generally the lone applicant is interviewed by the group she's joining. But if you're that desperate, I suppose I better ask instead- what can everyone in your group do?"

Quick to flaunt this own abilities Luca jumped to speak "I'm a shifter, if you can't tell that already. Around here I'm know for being a talented dancer, and I can break bones with a kick. But easily the most impressive thing about me is my looks." it was obvious the guy liked to brag. Though he wouldn't say that if something came up he couldn't handle he'd usually turn tail and run. His bodily safety came before fighting off something dangerous "Also, if you're in Bellmyre I can probably get you a discount. Not exactly useful else ware, but since we're here I might as well let you know."

A dancer? Her ears involuntarily perked up at that. She sometimes hated how expressive her body was of her emotions she'd otherwise like to keep hidden. Dancing was... magical, with the right person. She might just have to take Luca to a dance floor sometime. "Good to know." Those discounts could help, too.

She scolded him with a playful look in her eye before causing shifting her weight from one foot to the other. "I'm Elyel. Warlock, so you need magic I'm your gal. Can also crispy fry enemies when we are in a pinch." She grinned

Finally got around to editing my first post with Lucas' description lol. Added the reference I drew to so I can find it easily haha)
"I'm that last person who would chase someone away." Luca insisted. When Elyel spoke he nodded "She's very impressive. Her ability saved us when we were in quite the pinch." without her they likely would have had a much harder time defeating the shadows. Luca probably would have dashed and that would have left a terrible impression on the group. It was good it hadn't come down to that. He glanced around the group to see who would speak up next.

Luciel was the next to step up, curious of this new addition to their group. She placed a hand on her chest and inclined her head to Maxie. "Greetings, I am Luciel, a cleric. My areas of focus are healing and protecting," she explained, smiling softly to the newcomer.

The albino monkey looked at the others. “I’m Keelo the annoying fighter as you would know me, I am an Apeling, oh and I came here with that elvish dude over there acting fatherly and caring.”
Locin wasn’t happy that he was noticed as fatherly and caring, but he was. He glanced at the group. He was sad that he would outlive everyone. He was also sad he would not feel the effects of old age and live as 20 year old for nine hundred years. “I am Locin, I am a paladin, and no I am not an elf, I am a foreclaimer, pleased to meet you.” He also kissed her hand. “I am a bit of a dancer myself m’lady.” He smiled at the girl.

At the mention of Locin having experience dancing himself Luca gasped "Why didn't you tell me. We could have been bonding over that all this time." while he was being over dramatic for the flare of it all, he did think it would be fun to speak of such things. But being dramatic was once of his primary personality traits so he of course had to make a deal out of it "Though I suppose I should have guessed. What kind of entertainer am I if I can't even tell such things." he looked over the other and nodded appreciatively. They truly were a good looking group.

What a wonderful crew. Another Cleric, one focused on healing others, meaning she could focus her healing on herself, and only in a pinch use it for others. In addition, that paladin was smokin'. She'd dance with him any day. But, alas, paladins were always so prude. She doubted any fun would come of it.
"Everyone, it is a pleasure to meet you. I am Maxie Carnival, at your service." She danced ahead a few feet, turned, and gave a theatrical bow for the group.
As the catfolk stood, she gazed upon them. "Have we decided on a name for our little troupe?"

Elyel blushed at Luca's praise and was suddenly thrilled more than ever to have a mask covering her facial expressions. The shyness immediately faded back to her lighthearted manner at Maxie's question. "Band of Misfits? The Many Musketeers?" Her eyes shined bright with humor.

Locin rolled his eyes at Keelo's comment. He also tried to hide the fact that he was quite interested in Maxie. He suddenly hoped he didn't look too bad. "It would be an honor to see you on the dance floor," He replied to Luca. "Same with you." He said, this time to Maxie. He was overjoyed the group was doing well, but what would they be called? He thought for a bit." I think we have to earn our group name, by doing something important." He stated.

"A group name eh? I never thought about it. But since we have two cats on the team I feel as if that should be represented in it." Luca insisted, only half joking "But yes, perhaps we should leave our name up to our deeds. If we do enough I'm sure someone will come up with something." he didn't have any ideas himself, and when he didn't want to do something he'd just leave it to someone else to deal with.

She turned to Elyel and raised an eyebrow. "Well, my letter seems to have been different from yours in some degree. Perhaps because of the extensive contacts I've built up in the last few years, I was able to pertain some direction." Glancing about the inn, and deciding no one was listening except her troupe, she leaned in closer.
"I am friends with a dragon hunter named Torrel. He lives just a bit down into the Northeastern fields, as a farmer. I hired him to help me find a dragon horde once, and I'm sure he'd know of one in his area. We ask him, we might find the location."
