"I have a small amount of dried jerky as well, if anyone is interested," Luciel mentioned, rummaging through her things after overhearing the conversation on breakfast. "I didn't have time to pick up much else before we departed." She wasn't very hungry herself, thinking of the journey ahead had dampened her appetite that morning.

Garrens eyes brightened at the mention of something more substantial than nuts and berries. "Ah, if it's not trouble I would like some jerky." He admitted sheepishly, wishing he thought ahead a little better

Garren gasped. "I do not snore! Perhaps it was your own sawing you heard!" He announced, immediately breaking in to a laugh afterwards. Despite the threat, he felt his tension levels decrease tenfold. Garren rather liked being part of this group Kos snorted as she laughed along, shaking her head. "Maybe no one's ever been nice enough to tell you about your snoring problem." She shot back with a grin, moving to walk closer to Garren and Eylel. Her eyes go to Luciel at the mention of jerky and she gives a smile, nodding along with Garren. "I would also like a bit of that jerky too, if there's enough." |

Garren rolled his eyes. "I defintely do not. It most defintely was you you heard!" He teased back. He grabbed some of the fruits and nuts Elyel was passing around and handed them over to Kos

Luciel chuckled once again at the exchange as she took out a small bundle of jerky. She carefully unwrapped it so as to not drop any and held it out to Garren and Kossette. "Help yourself, there is plenty," she offered.

Garren took a couple slices, taking a bite and chewing thoughtfully. "Meat may be a long forgotten flavor depending how long this quest lasts." He sighed. "Much appreciated ma'am." Garren grinned widely at Luciel

Sira chuckled softly while listening to everyone and declined the food when it was being passed around. She kept her ears open listening for anything and everything that was in the woods. HEr eyes glancing around the group as they continued forward on the quest.

You're all good!! Things are gonna be hectic the next few days so I'm also gonna be mega poofy))
Elyel glanced at Sira. "A little on edge are we?" Her voice was strained, like she was trying to stay light hearted but it wasn't entirely working. Truth be told, every sound that wasn't made by their party made her grip her staff a little tighter

"We might not have that luxury." Garren pointed out. "If we are in a hurry, being pursued, injured. All of which I hope never come to happen." He quickly said,looking up at the sky as if to let the gods know none of those things he wanted to happen

"Don't speak it into existence." Luca joked, shaking his head. He nibbled on the food he'd been handed and passed the left overs off when he was no longer hungry. "I think we're doing pretty good. We've been walking for a while and there hasn't been a fire, enemies, or even an animal." that could be considered weird, since they were in the forest and all. But Luca chose not to think about it like that.

Keelo watched the others eat jerky. He rolled his eyes and handed out bowls. Jerky wouldn't sustain everyone. He glanced over at Locin. He was enjoying the food. He sighed. Guess he had to stay if his partner was.
Locin was grateful for the food. "Well, when we are all finished, I suppose we should head out, where would we go? Anyone know a certain place. Or should we go around aimlessly." He stated.

Elyel glanced around, feeling goosebumps form on the back of her neck. "It....it's quiet." She voiced and shared Luca's thoughts. A forest should have some sort of life. This one seemed totally devoid, outside of the trees

Kos looked to Elyel and quirked a brow, seeming to not notice the things everyone else was. She unties the fur cape around her shoulders and places it on Elyel's instead, as if that was her way of comforting the other. "Oh, I wouldn't worry about it." She said, waving it off and continuing to walk still. Though, she allowed herself to become more aware of their surroundings, listening closely in case they were to be attacked again.
Jag, having noticed the quietness of the forest and his party members getting uncomfortable, cleared his throat. "Well, there was a fight last night and Elyel you did expend a very bright magic. I wouldn't be surprised if creatures were avoiding this area for the time being." He spoke up, hoping to quell some of the others anxiety.

Luciel nodded in agreement with the two that spoke up. "On top of that, we weren't exactly the most quiet getting up and ready this morning," Luciel chimed in. "It is still early in the day, perhaps the forest is still waking up."

The rest of the journey was, thankfully, uneventful. The crested a hill and in the distance the could see a town. Luca pointed it out to the group, turning to look at them as he did so. The shifter had spent the majority of the journey in the front of the group so he could lead the way. But that hadn't stopped him from chatting with them.

Elyel's gaze passed over the town, appreciating the fact that they were finally back in normal lands, away from the eerie quiet forest where the attack of the Shadows had still hung heavy in her mind. She couldn't have been more thrilled to have safely made it with no other major events occuring

((I am so so sorry for disappearing. I was feeling super sick these last couple of days and just slept all day while my bf looked after my daughter, I am feeling a ot better now C: ))
Sira slightly relaxed once they were out of the forest. She didn't mind the forest but wiht a group there size she didn't like how slow they were moving right now.

Glad to hear you're doing better! Don't worry about the poof, it happens to all of us every now and then))
"Hopefully we are able to get a more precise location on where we need to go." Garren glanced around at the town. "It would be nice to not travel totally blind. Especially considering how dangerous travel seems to be right now." He was excited to get this quest going more, instead of just so much aimless walking towards destinations that may or may not be necessary to visit
