The Ancient Evil (A D&D Roleplay)

Luciel stood watching the sun rise with a gentle smile on her face. Morning was her favorite time of day and she had been up since the sun was just barely peeking over the horizon. After letting the others sleep for a little longer she turned to see if anyone had awakened yet.

Garren was also awake, sitting up and staring blankly in to the fire. He had almost a look of melancholy on his face whole he watched the hypotontic dance of the flames.

Elyel rolled over, slowly opening her eyes. She looked up at the sky, admiring its beauty for a few moments before also sitting up. "We need to start setting out." She muttered

Luciel looked to Sira and dipped her head. "Good morning," she said back. With a glance to Elyel she nodded again. "Yes, it would be best to get an early start." Quietly she moved closer to the fire and gave Luca a tap on the shoulder hoping to wake him up before looking around for any others who were still sleeping.

Elyel packed her things and stood up. She inhaled sharply before letting out a hardy "Rise aaaaaaand shine!!!!" Her voice bellowed strongly outwards. She would be very shocked if anyone would have been able to sleep through that, but she trusted Sira to zap anyone who tried to sleep through it

Elyel shrugged. Her eyes twinkled with the bright light of good hearted mischief. "Luciel tried. You didn't stir. I'm not trying to be here until sundown." She stuck her tongue out at him and blew a raspberry. "Back your things, we move out soon."

Garren sighed, standing up and putting out the fire. "Ready when you guys are!" He shook off the former shadow over his face and walked over to join Luciel, Luca, and the others

Luciel chuckled again at Kossette's question and shook her head. "Of course not," she replied. "You two have returned with perfect timing," she added with a quick glance to Jag. After a few adjustments for the various things on her back she reached up to pull some strands of hair away from her face and tucked them into one long braid down her right shoulder. "I am also ready whenever."

Sira nodded. "I am ready to go." She told Garren and stretched looking around the trees and the tiny shadows and shook her head remmebering the fight from yesterday.

Garren and Elyel closely followed Luca. Elyel was on high alert, her head swiveling in the direction of any and every sound just in case anything else decided it was a good idea to jump them or emerge from the shadows. Yesterdays experience was a brutal reminder on how their quest was clearly not favored by their enemy

Sira followed behind Luca as well tilting her head every so often hearing birds or other prey moving through the brush as they continued on their journey.

((Im so sorry it's short. My mind has no muse right now. Its been a rough day or not feeling well. ^^; ))

Kos followed along, walking beside Sira as Luca lead the little party of travelers. Her eyes glance to Garren as he mentioned the tense air between everyone. She knows he's talking about the shadow creatures and while she shared the same unease as everyone else, she wasn't afraid of another fight. "Maybe it's because no one could sleep a wink with all your snoring, Garren." Kossette teased, a mischievous smirk prominent on her expression.

Jag snorted at Kossette's comment, taking up the rear of the party. He had his long bow in his hand, just in case. His ears were focused on the sounds of the forest, knowing the terrain very well. He would be up front with Luca if he knew the exact trail they were on, but because Luca knew exactly where they were going he felt more comfortable taking up the back.

Luciel had taken a place walking toward the front of the group, gaze sweeping from side to side every now and then as they moved along. She had started to wonder what the day would bring them when she heard a few of the others speak up, and chuckled softly at Kossette's comment.

Locin heard the others move about, he started walking back, earlier in the morning he went to a waterfall. He was sad to leave it. His gaze made him feel like he was older than he was, he was quite young, but his overbearing caring would have made people think he was a parent if he didn't look as young as he was. But he would always look like this. He was a Foreclaimer. He lived a very long time and wouldn't feel the effects of age as long he has his power crystal embedded in him. Not many people knew about the ancient race of the Foreclaimers, it is very mysterious and has almost died out. Locin arrived at the camp, he saw everyone get up.


Keelo jumped down from the tree, he had been the last to wake up. Ugh. He thought. It wasn't a dream, he was still in this cult, and now they had to move. He could easily outpace them through the trees. But he didn't leave. He just rolled his eyes. When he came down he brought marsupials and fruit from the trees for breakfast. Enough for everyone. He edged closer to the fire and started making breakfast. He noticed that when Locin came back from wherever he was, he had washed the dishes. He snatched the bowls and started. He was a great cook. He didn't show it to everyone because of obvious reasons. But if he was here, he would have to make do. "Hey, you guys can't go an empty stomach, and I swear if someone starts to complain. I will make you eat your own shit." He grumbled. He was doing a kind thing, just not saying it kindly.
