If a cat dies while pregnant and gives birth to the kits in StarClan (so long as I'm remembering correctly), what happens if she's sent to the Dark Forest? Are the kits born in the Dark Forest? Do they go to StarClan, separated from their mother? Do they never exist at all?

i also would think they can appear in starclan as normal kits. i am kinda confused if starclan cats can age themselves up or down...? at first, it's said u take the form of when u were most happy in life (like yellowfang staying old for example). but then code of the clans (i think?) have the spirits of kits be older...? im referring to the story where the kits drown in the river and they appear to that one cat in the story and are like "if u saved us, we've grow up to be clan leader" etc.

Wait do we have a canon case of a pregnant cat dying??? what?? Bright Stream is more memorable, but Songbird of ThunderClan was killed while newly pregnant. She died curled around her belly, trying to protect her and Morningstar's kits. I don't remember if we see them, but I personally believe they go to StarClan as young kits. |

I'd like them to be able to have a choice to grow up in StarClan, but most of them stay young. Though I think canonically (aside from the drowned kits, likely grown because they'd have a role to play in history or something) they'll always be young. As far as newborns/stillborns go, I think they'd be about 3-5 Moons old in SC. We've seen Flickerkit run and play with Juniperkit and Dandelionkit in SqH so they don't stay as newborns at least. |

They'd probably go to StarClan, considering they never did anything bad (but not anything good, either, but there isn't purgatory in Warriors, so StarClan is the next best choice.)

It’s confirmed that they do go to Starclan, since this was seen with Bright Stream and her kits. That bit of information was clarified on the wiki for a while too. Strangely enough, Bright Stream’s name is still on the wiki alongside her kits as cats that went to Starclan, but that little bit of information about pregnant mothers going to Starclan with their unborn kits is not...
On a sidenote, I am surprised the series hasn’t touched anything with the kits not making it to term. Such as The mother choosing to end the pregnancy or simply a miscarriage. It’s confirmed that cats that are stillborn go to Starclan (Finchkit of Windclan), but nothing about what happens when the kits are not even born...
