Shadowstar - black molly with green eyes
• as an early settler, she traveled from the mountains to the forest territories
• she was a wise, sensible leader who wanted only the best for her Clan
• when the Clans were first forming, she willingly stepped down as leader and handed authority over to Gray Wing for some time
• Shadowstar was the first of the original leaders to lose her last life
• her last life was lost in a battle, killed by Quick Water, who she also managed to kill as well

Honeystar - a stocky, fawn calico molly with amber eyes.
• known as the longest living ShadowClan leader
• despite her short size, she was well known as being feared for her brutal battle tactics
• it’s rumored she once survived a coyote attack by herself
• Honeystar refused to retire even when she was older than most of the elders in the Clan, stating that the only reason she would stop leading is if something killed her
• eventually, she did die by a bee sting as she was allergic to bees and went into anaphylactic shock

Frogstar - small framed and thick-furred ruddy red molly with amber-green eyes.
• a youthful, spunky leader, she was more popular with younger Clan members than older throughout her leadership
• she was wily and even aggressive, known for starting trouble between the other Clans
• despite the aggression, she was somehow good friends with a ThunderClan molly known as Larkpool
• while she had a few suitors, Frogstar never took a mate, though there may have been rumors of her and Larkpool
• her death was fast and a surprise, her last life taken when she was hit by a monster on the way to a gathering

Notable medicine cats: Ashfeather, Berryspots
Lightstar - a small and lithe all white tom with one green eye and one blue eye
• he wasn’t actually supposed to be leader, Darkwhisker was, however Darkwhisker died on his way to Highstones, leaving ShadowClan with no leader until the current medicine cat, Berryspots, had a vision that Lightstorm should be leader
• due to never being deputy before and only having had one apprentice his whole life, the clan was weary of him being leader and he struggled to maintain authority for the first half of his leadership
• he lost his first life when a fierce warrior named Thornstone attempted a mutiny and almost succeeded as well, however Lightstar was able to earn the respect of his clan and banished Thornstone from ShadowClan
• Lightstar was known as one of the most diplomatic leaders in ShadowClan history and tried to make peace with the other clans instead of fighting them
• Lightstar eventually lost his last life when Thornstone’s son came back with a vengeance and forcibly drowned him

Marigoldstar - ginger tabby tom with a white chest and bright amber eyes
• as an apprentice Marigoldstar had a run in with a stray dog and lost most of his tail
• Marigoldstar was adamant about being in the life of his Clanmates and even used some of his time to personally train with every apprentice at least once during their apprenticeship
• as gentle as he was, he lost his first life in a battle between him and Nettlestorm, Thornstone's son, though he did eventually take down the revenge-ridden warrior
• he took the role of father for his best friend's, Iceleap, kits after her mate was killed by a badger days before their litter was born
• after a long leadership, Marigoldstar actually stepped down from leadership to retire to the elders' den where he then passed away peacefully in his sleep two moons later
