Okay, I'm going to give a repository of the things I remember from the old forums... just for the heck of it. But, before I begin, let me introduce myself...
Back on the old forums, my name was acebopata. I don't know if people remember me back then, but oh well, probably for the better. I first joined the forums in 2009, and my first clan was Cryptclan. Gosh, so many memories are flooding through me just thinking back to that clan, mostly good though there is one that was entirely my fault. Anyways, I was pretty hard core on the forums between 2010 and mid 2012, then i was on and off between 2013 and 2014, into early 2015, on multiple accounts. (Not to worry this is my one and only account for this site). I've also had three forum mates during my time on the wcf which is kinda creepy now that I think about it. No more FM's for me, unless we are talking bout FM radio, but that's aside the point.
So... without further adu, let's begin. Oh... and one more thing, feel free to use any information here on your own history guides. Also, might not be in chronological order, so here we go.
1. Snail posting: Basically the mods had to approve of each comment before it would appear. Disappeared fairly early if I remember correctly.
2. Joe.S moderator: He has been mentioned before, lots of times already. Basically he was a mod who said a few... intresting things.
3. Jana M: Another moderator, left the forums in 2012... I think? or was it 2011? My memory isn't too sharp on this one. What I do know is that she signed my sig back in the day and was probably one of my favorite mods of all times.
4. The goodbye JanaM thread: JanaM's departure thread, was constantly bumped up by several people, including your's truly.
5. Ghost rules: Best forgotten. Seriously! Nah, okay, these rules where essentially either not listed in the official rules or where expansions on existing rules. Includes things like no discussion Heteilia, or things of the like. According to the mods, they asked ole harper to allow them to upgrade the rules, but no permission was given. Problem was, the only ones keeping up with the ghost rules where your normal users, and they could only do so as people discovered the ghost rules.
6. Solar Gamunis: A video game design I came up with back in the day, and sent a proposal letter to the CEO of Wal-mart. Nothing really came out of it, though it did garner some interest on the forums. Proposed launch titles where Cars and Chaos: City of Destruction and Forum Wars: Mods vs Trolls.
7. Kit scanning: Basic scanning a kit, and applying it or it with the data of another kit, to a blank kit. It had a tiny amount of support and phased out quickly.
8. Mod mix: The forum treat moderators ask for by name. Yes... this was my third Ingenious idea (Not in order mind you.)
9. Hai: A troll who... well, posted a lot of inappropriate stuff. And upset my forum mate, which really irked me off that Hai did that. I was fortunate not to meet the guy.
10. 100 & 200 question quiz: I wonder if anyone actually remembers this? Basically I made about... four to seven 100 question polls and at least one 200 question poll.
11. Halstar: Another one of my accounts.
12. Forum anniversary: The date someone has joined the forums. I think mine was in... September? I can't remember.
13. No-character death: Basically a ghost rule where you could not have a roleplay character die. Was confused as the no kit-killing rule.
14. MattXMarry:When two moderators love each other very much, this happens. Actually, what haoened here was the forums started shipping Matt Moderator and Marry Moderator.
15. Abs: A hand-drawn gif of a headless human who wore no clothes and had a well toned chest, doing a spider walk. Was posted all over the place.
16: Signature signing: Where the mods signed your signature.
17: Mini-mods: Regular users who tried to act as mods, eventually became banned under the ghost rule.
18: Forum of junk: An outside forum I once made with no rules. (Okay, it did have a few rules.) It no longer exist.
19: MegaBoneClan: A large kit-stealing clan that eventually, not only got banned, but even discussing it became forbidden.
20: Heads will roll: A famous quote made by Joe.S. Moderator which at the time caused a lot of... issue.
21: Inability to post in polls: Back in the golden days, we could post in polls. The the mods thought we where abusing the privilege, and put a stop to that. When the move from Eve to hoop.la occurred, we got the ability back.
22: Eve Servers: Basically what the pre-2013 forums ran on. It looked very similar to what this forum looks like now, but with many many less features. However, it served us many good years.
23: White blinding background: When the Hoopla version of WCF first came, it was very...very...very blinding. And the space was a bright white too. A lot of people threatened to leave cause of the eye strain.
24: Visit us at the official forum (Not this new site): Most people here know about this, but fr those who don't... look in the back of your older warrior cat books. you'll find a link to the now deleted forums.
25: Forum families: Basically where different users band together and make a family. Ie Acebopata being father, user A being sister, user 10 being grandmother, ect
26: PTSP: Post to see post, an acronym someone would used in a rp when they where having issues with post showing up.
And that's all I have for now. I'm going to reserve a secound post in case I think of some more.
