Here's another fun brain breaker, Brokenstar and Spottedleaf are actually about the same age. Imagine Brokenstar falling in love with an apprentice and you'll see the collar-tugging commence. The age gap between Thistleclaw and Spottedleaf was actually lesser to the one with Spottedleaf and Firepaw

The age gap between Thistleclaw and Spottedleaf was actually lesser to the one with Spottedleaf and Forepaw Oh wow...I never realized that...I always thought of Broken as way older than Spotted FirexSpotted is so gross (as a sidenote i think it would make more sense for redtail to be a lot older and spottedleaf to be a lot younger rather than them being littermates, considering red was deputy for like years and spotted was supposed to be close to fire's age) |

Which only makes it worse. |

Apparently, Brokenstar was 3.9 when he died, and Spottedleaf was 4.1 when she died, not sure who died when, but Spottedleaf could very well be older than him.
Also, about creepy relationships...Snowbird x Scorchfur, it's been confirmed that Scorchfur fathered kits when he was an apprentice.
I hope there will be an explanation for this, like maybe he failed his warrior assessment a few times, but it's still a bit strange.

If you look at the timeline, then Thistleclaw was only roughly 2 years old during the Spottedleaf shenanigans. Certainly an age gap, but it looks downright natural compared to 4 year old Spottedleaf having goo-goo eyes for Firepaw, I'll tell you that much.

I personally never really hated Spottedleaf before, even with this short story, I just found her annoying, but more tolerable than I guess the likes of love interest like Sandstorm, lol. I think what actually made me dislike her was her novella, because of how it portrayed Thistleclaw and her undesirable and unrealistic relationship.
