The New Prophecy is the second, and the worst, arc of the Warriors series. It follows a patrol made from cats of all Clans sent to seek out Midnight as Twolegs destroy the forest. When the Clans arrive at their new home, tensions rise around the lake.

Omen of the stars = worst arc. bet. Not really, Dotc is interesting and has good characters. TNP is just squirrelpaw and brambleclaw arguing 24/7

It's not my least favorite, but the arc definitely had alot of wasted potential.

I agree with Mothflight. Every arc has flaws, but I prefer TNP over POT and definitely over OOTS. If they had fine-tuned it more and made Hawkfrost more of a twisty villain instead of a hardcore daddy's boy, then it could have been better. I would have liked Hawkfrost killing Tigerstar again at some point and actually using more brains to take over the Clans in a more efficient and solid way. I will say OOTS definitely made him kind of better, but we got to see him be more manipulative at first.

Nothing necessarily wrong with it in general, but it's partially because of that that I think I would've liked it if Mothwing had been the main antagonist for the arc. With enough foreshadowing, I think the twist would've been a great one. Also, less BramblexSquirrel drama. Or at least less stupid miscommunication.

I agree, I agree. It would have been interesting to have Hawkfrost act so antagonistically but he's just a super aggressive warrior that's quite loyal to RiverClan.
Maybe one day we'll get a couple that actually talks out their issues and doesn't act so dramatic. It seems the Erins have a habit to force that on couples and it makes me wonder if some background characters are really "healthy" or if they are so insignificant that the Erins don't bother with showing them having differences sometimes.

I feel this goes for many enemies-to-lovers pairings in general. It can work well, like with Firestar and Sandstorm for an example in this series, but I don't really blame anyone for having an aversion to it either since many times, it can come off as forced at best and abusive at worst. Bramblestar and Squirrelflight's relationship just seems to get worse as the series goes on.

I don't think it's the worst arc, but it's far from the best. Moonrise was my first Warriors book so that improves my opinion on it.

i might be biased bc nostalgia but it's okay imo. it would have been as good as the original series if they condensed the endless journeying and removed the soap opera stuff

It's OOTS that's the worst. It doesn't hold a candle to TNP.

OOTS is the worst arc. TNP may have its issues but it's nowhere near Arc 4's terrible quality, it's decent. TPB>DOTC>TNP>>POT>>>>>>OOTS

TNP certainly has it's flaws, but I don't think it's a downright bad arc. Same goes for any of the arcs, really.

huh... you know, i was gonna say i disliked pot the most, but i think i do prefer it over oots overall. i guess the final battle of oots kinda got me really excited and i forgot how much of a slog the rest of it felt. didn't rlly enjoy divewing as a character.
that being said, while i'm not a huge fan of sunset, and im not into the first book in tnp, i did find the rest quite enjoyable! i'm at least glad it was opened up to more interactions between the clans on a less hostile basis, and seeing the clans interacting with twolegs was quite interesting as well.
pot and oots are tied for the worst for me, they're just mostly uninteresting with a few exciting bits here an there. i do give pot points for giving us hollyleaf, who i love with all my soul
i haven't been reading since oots due to a lot of personal life issues so i cant comment on those
