I assume there has to be a valid reason this isn't a thing, so I'm wondering what it is (sorry if this is in the wrong place!)
If necroposting is 1. a big deal to everyone (which it seems to be) and 2. has to be explained every time someone new joins the site, could there possibly be some kind of feature which auto-locks the thread after 30 days have passed so that people can't post on old threads regardless? It seems like new members unknowingly necroposting is way more common than legitimate uses, so why is this not a thing? It would certainly make Sand's life easier and would be less of an annoyance to the more experienced users of the site.
If it's some kind of coding thing or not able to be done with PB, then that's fine. I'm mostly curious above all else.

I don’t know anything about this but maybe it’s doable?? I’m going to guess no, but Felix’s magical knowledge will save us
